"If using a Long Bow, Composite Bow, or Short Bow, a worn shield will not provide protection while AIMing (this lack of protection begins once the weapon is LOADed)."

This no longer seems to be the case.

You reach into your quiver to load the longbow with a basilisk head arrow.
