Notes

Rutilor's Edge is designed to allow Paladins to enhance their own weapons and those of their friends for a small period of time.

  • It can be cast as one large mana-intensive spell or as several smaller casts whose effects are stacked.
  • Duration is capped at 11 minutes.
  • The spell can only be cast on weapons held in the hand of the caster.
  • The spell primarily enhances a weapon's balance and suitability for gaining attack power. Its secondary effect is to enhance the weapon's primary damage type (slice/puncture/impact). How noticeable the improvement is (when appraising the weapon) depends on the weapon's initial properties. The spell's effects are less likely to be noticed with forged weapons as they are usually forged to very close to the appraisal cutoffs.
  • Casting this spell on a razor-edged dueling iltesh increases the puncture from moderate to high and the balance from reasonably to well. Casting on a slender khuj results in no difference in appraisal.
