Petition Responses: 
First on the list is the rope bridge and the building of a more effective means of crossing the ravine.
His Grace has spoken with Lord Rossman many times about this as his side of the endeavor is equally important.
Lord Rossman has made another promise of work to be started soon. He claims that getting some of the supplies, moreso 'enough' supplies, has been the bigger issue.
While the donations from others have helped,they don't nearly begin to cover what it will take to cross a massive ravine of that size.
There's mainly getting enough stone to ensure the work won't stall and then the other issue is making enough of the cement, if you will.
The ideas of catapults, sling shots, ropes to swing across, or even another rope bridge were appreciated but the belief is is that the best way forward is building a lasting solution to this problem in a bridge that will stand the test of time. He wishes to have this done right the first time.

Second petition: for a forge in Therenborough. That's on the agenda also. There's some services in Theren proper that will likely change or be moved to different areas once the cathedral is finished.
It is His Grace's hope that we can repurpose some of the older buildings into a whole new society that caters to ALL types of craftsmanship, not just forging but that's certainly one of them. 
So, part of the issue with the cathedral isn't really the building itself or the interiors.
The issue with the cathedral has been a delicate arrangement with the families of those who have served. His Grace has requested that the families allow their relatives who have served His Grace to be interred beneath the cathedral in the crypts there. And there's specifically a 'walk of heroes' if you will, that will honor them. His Grace did state that while this has taken us years, he feels this should be completed sooner than later."

Third petition: Request of re opening the Trigomas Residence. His Grace will pass it along to Lord Larohald. It's his home and not his call.

Fourth petiion: Request for a trash bin at Sand Castle Cove and at Ranger table in Riverhaven. His Grace has passed that on to Mayor Bressail.

Fifth petition: To open the Longhouse in Siksraja to all.  His Grace has spoken to one of the Elders of Siksraja and he's agreed to open up the longhouse to allow others to enter in the event they want to plan further gatherings there.

Sixth petition: Request for Velakan citizens access to Telomin Hall. His Grace will look into it, but will not make promises. There are those in the Velaka that we have a somewhat contentious relationship with and His Grace is not inclined.

Seventh petition: Petition for the Keep to give additional details on the Orcs and their possible plans. His Grace said in no uncertain terms that when the Orcs decide to start letting him know what they are up to, he will pass it along through Aaiyaah.

Eighth petition: Mazrian's petition regarding Sir Kenamer and the ODS. It has been looked into by both His Grace and the Order Administrator. 
The Order Administrator has discussed this with the ODS council and leadership. His Grace first reminds us aLL that this is not a democracy.
That His Grace and His Grace alone will determine how and when to hold those in his service accountable when needed. His orders regarding this is to trust in his handling of this situation and move forward in fulfilling our duties to Therengia.

Ninth petition: His Grace did review Sir Madigan's petition for his blessing of courting for marriage Dantia. His Grace enthusiastically blesses this coming union and is extremely happy for the couple!


One new petition given privately to Court Advisor Aaiyaah by Remyngton.

Aaiyaah exclaims, "Hello and welcome everyone! Therengian Orders, citizens, allies, and guests! Today we are meeting to discuss current happenings, upcoming events, take petitions, and any other topics that folks may wish to discuss!"
Aaiyaah says, "I am honored to be facilitating this meeting to provide a platform for us all to communicate with His Grace, Baron Gyfford in the form of petitions and updates provided by all whom wish to speak. But the main purpose of these meetings is for Therengians to come together and work towards advancing His Grace's vision for Therengia."
Aaiyaah says, "For clarity, the agenda of today's meeting is as follows...brief introduction and overview of the purpose of the meeting (what we are doing now)....However this time I will first spend time going over petitions submitted then we will have a brief update on current events and finally submission of new petitions. If we have time, an open floor."
Aaiyaah says, "That said, let us begin! In the interest of time I will get started on His Grace's response to petitions. So, please settle in and if anyone has questions as we go, please feel free."
Aaiyaah says, "This past week, His Grace summoned me to the Keep where we reviewed a number of topics and focused heavily on petitions. Today's meeting will center around this."

Aaiyaah says, "Yes, His Grace will be married in the Cathedral once completed. Lady Athelisa has been traveling between here and her own lands...where she's setting up some very lucrative branches that will keep her very well off long into the future."
Dantia quietly says, "Wonderful to hear."
Aaiyaah says, "His Grace thanks everyone for reminding him of the need of repairs of the Keep and it is noted and being addressed."
Aaiyaah says, "Between us, I will spare you what he said initially."
Karthor says, "Oy, now ya have us wonderin'."

Aaiyaah says, "With regard to this invoice from the Ravens.....His Grace replied..."uh huh, next....."."
Karthor says, "That sounds about right."
Vekara asks, "The invoice is still a thing?"
Vekara asks, "What's the interest on it now?"
Szarevar says, "That's not all he said. Be honest. I've only heard one paladin curse and I'm not even sure Madigan saying, "Shucks" counts."

Aaiyaah says, "Again, I will with hold any additional things His Grace may or may not have said in response to that."
Vekara says to Merilwen, "Makes sense."
Aaiyaah says, "Access to the college's archives by Mazrian. His Grace will see about that. He believes there are additional avenues for that as well. His Grace understands that Mazrian's needs are specific and it would take time to search the archives."

Aaiyaah says, "As to the Keep's position regarding Sir Beren...that's going to be something His Grace reserves for the Paladin Council at this time. His Grace is not the only part of that Council and wishes to confer with them before making any major statements that might...misconstrue anything."
Aaiyaah says, "So, concerning Siksraja.....I will say this in the most diplomatic way I can."
Aaiyaah says, "His Grace advises that for requests in Siksraja, these requests need to go first to the Elder Council."

Now, let me try to share this as best I can without it coming across harsh in anyway. His Grace first reminds us aLL that this is not a democracy. Aaiyaah says, "His Grace has inquired as to who or what the Therengian Vanguard is? That will need to be something I would like to discuss with those that can explain that to me in private."
Aaiyaah says, "His Grace was not pleased with the meeting regarding necromancy in Therenborough. I strongly advise if any further discussions, lectures, or topics as such be held outside of Therengia in the future. His Grace does not appreciate a loose way of attempting to circumvent his orders in His land."
Aaiyaah says, "In an attempt to expedite the answering of petitions, His Grace let his immediate Court know they can attend my future meetings if they so wish."
Aaiyaah says, "Alright, those petitions that have been submitted but not spoken to here, I will speak with those individuals in private."
Aaiyaah says, "Alright. That was a lot to listen to and I understand if folks have a few questions."
Aaiyaah says, "I will do my best to answer, but understand there are things that I am held to in confidence with His Grace."
Remyngton asks, "Whatever gave you that impression?"
Szarevar says, "I would like to recognize and congratulate the new Speaker of the Order of the Dragon Shield."
Aaiyaah says, "Oh, Penrhyn, you are the new Speaker of ODS? Congratulations."
Szarevar says to Aaiyaah, "Thank you. That is all I had."
Mazrian says, "Indeed. Never let it be said that Penrhyn was afraid to step into an arrow storm. I wish you good luck."
Merilwen exclaims to Penrhyn, "Yes Congrats!"
Remyngton asks, "Would you know the best way for the rakash to speak with the elders? should we be sending in written communications?"
Aaiyaah says to Remyngton, "I will look into that for you."
Remyngton says, "I would much apperciate that, I am happy to act as go between until a better situation is established."
You whisper to Dantia, "We may have to hold Remy back here in a moment."
Zalinyar says, "Sorry I'm late."
Penrhyn says, "For my first public gesture as the new speaker of the Order of the Dragon Shield, I would like..."
Penrhyn clearly says, "To apologize for my actions."
Penrhyn says, "A number of weeks ago here..."
Penrhyn says, "There was a large discussion that involved me answering pressurized questions from several people at once."
Penrhyn says, "I went to answer a question of Synamon's, a question about what the ODS council had done following certain events."
Penrhyn says, "I could have prefaced my answer by saying, 'After that, the council...' or 'After they left, what happened was...' but that's not what I said."
Penrhyn says, "I was naive and did not think about how my words would come across. I could have done better. Instead I insulted people whom I'd long looked up to, and I'm deeply sorry I did that."
Penrhyn mildly says, "/mildly I do not intend to discuss the matter further in public, so if you have any questions for me about this, you're invited to bring them to me privately. Thank you."
Penrhyn says, "And yes, this is how I'm choosing to announce that I've been made the new Speaker of the ODS."
Penrhyn says, "I never had any ambitions for the role, but the need was there. I've helped orchestrate a voluntary, harmonious, and dignified transition of power for the order, with the assistance of everyone involved, and I shall continue to do what I can to support the order, and the realms."
Penrhyn says, "Aislynn will be my vice speaker. I believe she'll do a good job of being there for the members when I cannot, and I'm happy to have her on my team."
Remyngton says, "You may not wish to speak upon it further in public but I believe that as a part of an apology you do not get to dictate when the terms of it in that nature... so I have a few things I would like to say on the matter."
Penrhyn says to Remyngton, "You can of course say whatever you like."
Remyngton asks, "You used a term that was a slanderous alligation of a very serious crime, you further continued to use the same term after this meeting... which would imply you do beleive it to be a failed coup Is this correct?"
Remyngton says, "Alright so you aren't actually here to apologize."
Remyngton says, "A real apology has 3 parts. First you must acknowledge what you've done wrong. Secondly you must show remorse for having done wrong, and thirdly you should let people know how you plan to fix and then do as you have said, because apology without change is just... is what is word? Oh yes... manipulation."
Remyngton says, "For this to be apology a significant portion of us will believe, you need to admit one of following things... 1. that you lied. That you knowingly and willingly lied to citizens of therengia, to court advisor Aaiyaah and to guests visiting this province. That you lied, knowing full well what transpired was in no way shape or form a coup, failed or otherwise, and you and councilmember Phoul continued to perpetuate this lie, knowing it was not truth of matter... as was witnessed by former councilmember Tathalus. Now... if that is not the case..."
Remyngton says, "You need to admit you were misled and name by whom you were misled. That you yourself were lied to by people you named and believing their lies you spread as truths. Now again... if that is not case well then..."
Remyngton says, "You need to acknowledge you aren't really here to apologize. Because if you can not admit to actual wrongdoing, then what you're here to do is manipulate and garner sympathy so that ODS looks like the victims in a situation your order, namely its leaders, have themselves created."
Remyngton says, "Ou seem to think you are meeting people with heels dug in, but what you are actually coming against is a group of people who are tired of having Speaker Kenamer Maylan and a few select council members of ODS trample them and everyone around them with impunity. What you are witnessing is group of people having created boundary that says this is enough, no longer will we accept this behavior in Therengia."
Remyngton says, "You aren't seeing people being stubborn, you are seeing people set boundaries, and only people who have an issue with boundary are the same people who like to traipse across them at their leisure."
Szarevar says to Aaiyaah, "Please tell His Grace I think we have found ourselves the new ambassador to the Orcs."
Remyngton says, "So tell us which is it? Are you liar? Were you misled and if so by who? Or are you fully on board with lies and accusations and just here to further manipulate the citizens of Therengia and Court Advisor Aaiyaah and by his proxy, the baron himself Before you answer I strongly recommend you remember the Baron does not take being lied to lightly."
Remyngton says, "So your answer is nothing? then let the record speak for itself, new leader... same old ODS bullcrap."
Mazrian says to Penrhyn, "The fact that your speech was perfectly anticipated should be an indicator."
Penrhyn asks Mazrian, "Of what?"
Mazrian says, "Of the fact that there is actual misconduct that demands actual accountability. And a change of face is not that."
Mazrian says to Penrhyn, "Best of luck, though, sincerely."
Zalinyar asks Penrhyn, "What is Kenamers role in the order now since he's stepped down?"
Madigan says, "Peace for a moment friends."
Vekara says, "Peace would be nice."
Rohlo asks, "Is that a thing?"
Madigan says, "It is for a moment here. If I may call on that with honor."
Madigan says, "The ODS is an old an esteemed Order."
Madigan says, "I and some of us where here when it was formed."
Madigan says, "I do not want this first step by the ODS to be dimished."
Madigan says, "To that end, Penny congratulations."
Madigan says, "But, there is this wonderful Therengian motto that I adopted long ago."
Madigan says, "The Theren Guard carries it and the Watch carries is."

Aaiyaah asks Penrhyn, "Anything else m lady?"
Penrhyn says to Aaiyaah, "That's all I had to say."
Dantia says, "I would like to personally thank ODS Strike Force Leader Arkalye for raising the call about the orc attack. Our defenders could not have gotten here so quickly had he not been so on the ball. So thank you, Arkalye."
Szarevar says to Madigan, "I love the motto. I thought you were going to say "Bite down on this stick. It helps." But that's the other motto."
Arkalye gruffly says, "It was my pleasure, my life for the baron."
Aaiyaah asks, "Speaking of the Orc attack, who would like to speak to that?"
Kintryn says, "I can."
Kintryn says, "If I may."
Mazrian dryly says to Szarevar, "It doesn't help. That's just what you tell people so they don't worry so hard."
Karthor says to Arkalye, "A life I'm glad ya got to keep at the time, that was a fairly close call there."
Teyl says, "Have a great rest of the meeting.....sorry have to go."
Remyngton says, "Lost my meeting buddy... Okay Kaelie you're it."
Arkalye gruffly says to Karthor, "In honesty it was due to your timely aid i lived long enough to defend the gate."
Kintryn says, "One moment."
Kintryn says, "Lost my notes."
Salvitoriel says to Mazrian, "And so they'll keep their mouths shut."
Dantia says to Arkalye, "We act as group, as a team. Your efforts were as valuable as anyone elses."
Kintryn says, "Prior to last week, we took upon ourselves a task to take the fight to Viggu's door since he still follows his shady ways of staying in hiding. We had planned to meet as a group upon the landing at Rossmans and after a brief history, and letting others know more about Viggu, we wanted to go raid the manor and let him know we were not going to put up with his threats."
You ask Remyngton, "Wait I'm it?"
Kintryn says, "Before this could happen, early that morning, Viggu sent his troops out across most of Therengia. We met the orcs at the drawbridge where I scouted the keep from one of the back entrances to assure that none were inside and from the drawbridge, we worked our way through their droves that were entering the city."
Remyngton softly says to you, "Teyl left, you're my meeting buddy now. always move in pairs... Mazrian can buddy up with madigan it will be fine."
Kintryn says, "As mentioned, Arkalye sent word over gweth of the attack. As we fought against the ones in the city, we also had reports that Viggu himself was somewhere about. Apollys and a few others staved them off from inside Viggu's lair and around Rossmans. Others fought from the other side of the ropes leading to the Road to Theren and the Northern Trade Route. They did not enter Sriksaja and were held off at the bin. Langenfirth proper itself was also attacked along the docks."
Kintryn says, "The orcs that invaded ranged from the bandits and scouts we normally see to the Cheifs and a new breed known as Orc Slashers which were a slight challenge even to our most experienced fighters that day."
Kintryn says, "We do not know the reason for the attack. The only thing I could conjecture after speaking to Dantia after the attack that day, was that maybe he sent out a "low level" fight to determine our weaknesses."
Szarevar says to Remyngton, "Asking Mazrian and Madigan to keep one another out of trouble is a bit like having Lyras as your family priest. I'm just saying."
Kintryn says, "Once the fighting died down, we still took our attack to Viggu's door. Many learned the history behind him and we were able to discuss as a province the threat that just met us at our own doors. Our hopes are to move forward and continue to protect Therengia with all we have, against this threat. We ask that you work with us on any updates coming down from the keep. We meet weekly now as a group discussing strategies to keep us at the ready at all times."
Kintryn says, "That is all."
Aaiyaah asks, "Anyone else have something to add to the orc discussion?"
Dantia says, "Kintryn did a great job of summarizing."
Mazrian says to Kenamer, "Congradulations on your well-deserved retirement."
Madigan says, "And, compliments to Kintryn for her work."
Aaiyaah says, "Alright, so we got attacked by Viggu's forces and quickly dispatched them. Excellent job everyone. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together and working as one. We had aide from Zoluren as well as Ilithi."
Karthor says, "Folks really did rally quite quickly, it was a bit impressive."
Aaiyaah says, "Let us continue to be prepare as Kintryn mentioned. That preparation is in my mind, why we executed so well in the attack."
Aaiyaah says, "But let us make no mistake, Viggu's days are numbered. So lets be ready to end him once and for all."
Vekara says, "Cheers to that."
Salvitoriel cheekily asks, "Aaiyaah so did you still want us to petition the keep for more intel on the orcs then? you did say be prepared... right?"
Aaiyaah says, "I would prefer not to be a Orc Adviser."
Aaiyaah says, "So yeah, thanks."
Szarevar says, "Naphtha. Lots of naphtha. That's what I define as "prepared."
Kintryn says to Aaiyaah, "We will keep you informed of any findings best we can so that you dont have to be the Orc Advisor as well, Sir." Aaiyaah asks, "Alright, so we covered petition responses and the orc attack. Does anyone have any new petitions in the interest of time?" You say, "I imagine the hooch provided to the Orc Advisor isn't what you are used to."
Vekara exclaims to Aaiyaah, "Nothing from me, the longhouse update is great news!"
Remyngton says to Aaiyaah, "I have a petition but I will address it privately."
Aaiyaah asks, "We got about ten rois, so any upcoming events folks wish to speak on?"

Salvitoriel asks you, "And can you imagine him trying to get them to settle down long enout to recieve petitions?"
Zalinyar exclaims, "I am happy to announce that the jousting club will be taking open enrollment later this day!"
Remyngton says, "Sounds like much fun."
Zalinyar says, "During which time I will address the club rules and regulations, all sorts of interesting things will happen."
Madigan says, "Lots of interest in Jousting. Should be a good turn out."
Dantia says, "The Empaths were clamoring over the topic at the last meeting."
Zalinyar says, "I am very excited about the club."
Remyngton says, "Pretty sure my apprentice will be there with bells on."

Szarevar says to Dantia, "Last time I saw an empath joust, Rairken killed Sturm. It was amazi...I mean..horrible."
Zalinyar says, "I am also working with a ranger to provide mouts for folks who are horseless."
Dantia says, "Oh, I do miss Rairken. If anyone sees him floating around, send him my way."
Remyngton says to Dantia, "I still want to see boat jousting... just a dozen empaths hanging off the side of a vessel lances in hand..."
Mazrian says, "I pass him hunting all the time."
Karthor says, "I saw him in passin' on a mountain top recently, should probly have stopped to say "hi"."
Szarevar says to Dantia, "He's still lurking but has very little downtime."
Aaiyaah says, "I second that."

Szarevar says to Remyngton, "There is boast jousting. We use explosives. And sink the other boat. And take their stuff. Or so they tell me."
Remyngton says to Szarevar, "Sign me up! err.. oh I mean.. that's terrible.. terrible terrible. how dare they."
Aaiyaah says, "Alright, so today was a rather unique meeting. His Grace gave us some responses to petitions. Great work listening to all of them and if anyone has any questions and wish to discuss with me in private, just reach out and lets have a drink over it."
