It's Tuesday again!

In the ongoing efforts to re-visit, revise and expand higher level hunting options, this week we took a peek at the special drop attack from adult and bone wyverns, two areas that are generally under-used or avoided entirely because of how punishing the attack could be.

Previously, this special attack used our core utility to determine whether it succeeded or was parried/blocked/evaded, but it did custom damage that was always a set amount and pretty punishing. Despite messaging, it also only ever actually damaged your internal right leg by a set amount along with a hefty vitality hit.

Now, with this update, it also uses the core utility to handle the damage applied instead of custom handling. The attack can cause damage to your arms, legs, chest or back -- it should take a fair few more successful drops before a body part is essentially destroyed/useless, as each attack randomly selects one of those locations.

The 3 types of items (checks the noun) that previously mitigated the severity of this special attack are still relevant. I believe this is somewhat of an Easter egg, so I'll admit it exists and leave it at that. In the new setup, the way they affect damage is by lessening the creature's skill when making the attack, so mitigated successes should do less damage.

Big thanks to Ynami for QC'ing this update! We hope you'll give them a try and that this will make a couple more viable areas in the higher ranges.
