| Analyze uses a combination of Appraisal, crafting skill and trading. It makes sense for a skilled weaponsmith to be able to identify the properties of ore, even if they can't tell what quality some leather is. It probably could use some tweaking, but ways exist to glean most of the information without a skillcheck if absolutely necessary.
And I've been adding new uses for appraisal (measurements, expanded critter app, plans for squad combat) as I go. It won't be forgotten :P | |
