Hello Paladins! The Sidasas Sedra spell has been partially rewritten.

The goal of these changes is to add some optional depth to Paladin damage output, and to ease friction between Sidasas Sedra’s different functions. Instead of having to sacrifice your Smite Horde ramp-up for a SMITE bonus, the decision-making shifts to how many SMHs and SMITEs you're willing to employ to fuel a big shield slam.

  • Activating the empowerment no longer requires Smite Horde to hit successfully. Having at least one valid target is sufficient.
  • The empowerment no longer increases SMITE damage and is no longer consumed by SMITE.
  • As long as the empowerment is active, SMITE will now trigger a single-target blast of Smite Horde. This blast derives its Potency, Integrity, and accuracy from the last SMH cast that granted the empowerment. Note that SMITE SLAM is excluded here because of the following interaction.
  • Any fire damage dealt by Smite Horde (either normal cast or SMITE blast) will accumulate a latent damage bonus on the target, to be added onto your next successful shield slam against that target. Larger, held, better-protecting shields benefit from a bigger portion of this bonus fire damage.
  • The effects on Smite Horde itself remain unchanged.
  • The slot cost has increased to 3, up from 2.

Lastly, there is a Holy Weapon related perk I'll leave for you to discover, for now.
