I suppose it depends on what kind of bonus you are talking about. Thieves have a few. Their "urban bonus" does go away if they step into wilderness, but it comes right back once they step back inside the city; there are varying degrees to this, but the changes are all instantaneous based on whatever room they're in. It does not fluctuate fluidly the way the Ranger bonus does. Their confidence, however, is not affected by location at all. Confidence DOES drift toward neutral over time and CAN go negative. Their reputation is an entirely different story altogether. As far as the OP's original question, I believe the area INSIDE a personal home is supposed to be neutral, but there was some change recently that upset this balance. If I recall correctly, Zadraes had a fix that he was waiting on QC before implementing, but I could be misremembering. I'll double check or let him chime in if he wants. -- GM Tiesse | |
