>>Will the new techniques and spell slot requirements replace the current skill requirements for the unlocking of forms?
Probably, yeah. The mana requirement of SHMO is going (since it'll be a metaspell rather than a normal spell). I haven't decided if I'm going to throw in an Arcana requirement or not. If I do throw in a new requirement, the Weaponsmithing tie in would be an acceptable alternate path to completing them. >>The second question regards shadowling. I remember hearing that this spell was being looked at with the intent of squishing some technical weirdness out. Any updates on how this spell is going to change? Not at the moment. Shadowling has unfortunately fallen through the cracks so far. >>The third one is: Can we get some teasers on messaging changes, i.e. an example of what our new variable preps might look like, as well as teasers on any spells whose messaging has changed (PD)? If it's all PAFO, that's fine. It's just messaging. Another thing that's fallen through the cracks. >>And lastly... hmm... those are really the only ones I can think of right now. Any other lunar-specific magic stuff you can share would be appreciated. Thanks! Moon Mages aren't going to see as dramatic of changes as Clerics and Warrior Mages, since they have their guild-specific skill already in place and functional (if anemic). I have gotten approval to introduce a new Prediction ability that I plan to have out prior to New Enchanting, but not before M3. It won't exactly fill the hole Lunar Enchanting will leave, but it'll at least be more stuff you can do with the skill. Let's see. Beyond that, all invisibility spells are becoming Signature, and for RF that's for reals this time. I decided to about-face on the invisibility spell namings and make the self-cast, duration-based invisibility RF, and the new Cyclic group-based one something else. Tentative title is Steps of Vuan but that's just throwing spagetti against the wall. MB is probably going to end up weighing in as the beefiest (in terms of added effects) disabler in the game. I've been contemplating changing TS's skill bonus from Foraging to Thievery, but haven't seriously proposed it yet. | |
