Hi again, folks! Tonight, when the date ticks over, the Login Rewards system opens up to everyone. The main concern we've seen is around people not having a good understanding of how login bridges work, so I wanted to do a wordy, in-depth post to help clarify that. The TLDR -- just having bridges does not protect your streak. You must also setup your MIN and MAX values to enable them, and you need to have enough bridges to cover a gap. BOOST BRIDGE MIN # - This indicates what level streak you personally care about. If you only want to maintain a streak that's at least 7 days, then you'd set BOOST MIN 7. If the streak is less, the system won't use any bridges to maintain something you don't care for. If you care about ALL streaks, you'd use BOOST BRIDGE MIN 1. BOOST BRIDGE MAX # - This is the max # of bridges you're willing to spend at any one time to maintain a streak. If you set this to 1, you can miss 1 day before the system stops trying to use bridges to cover your gap. Continuing the 7-day MIN example with this 1-day MAX -- if you have a 7 day streak, but miss days 8-9 and log in on day 10 -- your MAX setting says you only want to spend 1 bridge, but you need 2 to cover the gap, so the system won't consume any bridges and your streak will be reset to day 1. If you want to spend as many bridges as possible (that you have) to maintain a streak, you'd set BOOST MAX 29. Aside from the 2-3 free bridges you get on days 13 and 24 of the cycle, login bridges are something that come from the Simucoin store (via the BOOST BRIDGE PURCHASE command in game). Since they're a paid thing, we/the system are not going to decide how you want to spend them. The system can't know if you care about maintaining all streaks vs only those over X days. Because of this, until you set up the MIN and MAX settings the way you want, no bridges will ever be expended to save a streak. Bridges cannot be applied retroactively. Once you are processed (either at midnight if you were logged in as a subscriber or during your next login), that's the end of it. There are some fun things in the system, particularly towards the end of the cycle, and we want everyone to have a good time with these rewards! Sometimes the unexpected happens or timing can be just a little bit off, so be sure your bridge settings are setup in advance to help you reach those higher tier rewards! Zadraes
