I don't think you can dodge them.
An yay for helpful handy moonmages!
Atmo in the Keep is normal-
[Sorrow's Keep, Dungeon Cell]
Dripping echoes within the lightless confines while narrow rivulets run across the crumbling stone floor, collecting in repugnant pools that reek of sweat and urine. Loud chittering followed by darting movements amid the molding hay and rushes left to rot on the floor are indicative of the small creatures desperately seeking any morsel of available food. The occasional flicker of light through the slatted grille of the cell door provides little solace against the looming shadows, especially for those doomed to the fate of the rusted manacles that line the walls.
You also see a cracked albredine crystal ring, a gaunt Kaldar prisoner, a battered male prisoner and a cell door.
Also here: Court Scribe Iazen who is unconscious.
Obvious exits: none.
Muted footfalls like that of a vast, marching horde shudder through the stone floors of the imposing Reach.
Alret taps a black leather bullwhip that he is holding.
Alret chuckles.
Alret cracks his leather bullwhip at Iazen, causing a loud pop as he barely misses Iazen's right foot!
Iazen groans.
Alret cracks his leather bullwhip at Iazen, causing a loud pop as he barely misses Iazen's right ear!
Alret says, "You really should do more than groan , it's tiresome."
Alret kicks Iazen!
Alret cracks his leather bullwhip at Iazen, causing a loud pop as he barely misses Iazen's chin!
Alret swings the bullwhip quickly catching Iazen across his chest with two sharp strikes.
Iazen groans.
Alret attaches a black leather bullwhip to his belt.
Alret kicks Iazen!
Alret went through a cell door.
A steady drip from the dampened walls echoes throughout the area like the timely tick of a wound orlog, counting down to some inevitable doom.
[Sorrow's Keep, Receiving Hall]
A mammoth stone hearth dominates the far end of the cavernous hall. The light issuing from the well-fed blaze within its walls seems meager as it is swallowed up by the room's immense proportions. Long trestle tables lined with roughly hewn benches are placed along the perimeter of the hall, set in rows beneath a granite dais that bears a pair of ornately carved ebony thrones. Behind the platform hangs a faded scarlet tapestry depicting a malevolent raven with outstretched wings.
You also see an Elpalzi guard, a narrow hallway and a sweeping archway.
Also here: Alret who is sitting.
Obvious exits: none.
Alret asks, "So how are you getting an eye full?"
Alret says, "And thank you for the information on where you are taking your wounded on the gweths."
Alret spins the platinum ring about his finger for a moment.
Alret asks, "I wonder why your people always feel the need to brag on the gweth?"
Alret says, "It is my patrimony."
Alret asks, "Yes because our cause is not just? Even though we have been relegated to a poor piece of land we can not thrive on?"
Alret says, "Our fathers were fooled."
Alret says, "But we are not."
Distant footsteps echo through the halls of the imposing fortress.
Alret ponders.
Alret says, "Temple triage..."
Alret says, "Only fools fail to take advantage of anything during war."
Alret chuckles.
Alret says, "Yes I am petrified."
Alret stretches his arms.
Alret says, "I cower I dribble in fear."
Alret chuckles.
Alret says, "I will tell you how this works...you insult me and Iazen pays."
Alret asks, "Fair deal?"
Alret says, "A leader has no friends."
Alret says, "Sacrifices must and will be made."
Alret adjusts his leather bullwhip into place.
Alret says, "Zoluren."
Alret asks, "Or perhaps you think because we look different we should continue to be shunted aside and given scraps?"
Alret chuckles.
Distant footsteps echo through the halls of the imposing fortress.
Alret says, "I will make one bargain."
Alret says, "You insult me and Iazen feels pain, you be respectful and he will feel...less."
Alret asks, "No clever answer?"
Alret says, "Oh another one on the gweth that thinks I can be drawn out by petty insults."
Alret says, "Let's see how Iazen feels about that."
Alret stands up.
Alret went through a sweeping archway.
[Sorrow's Keep, Dark Corridor]
Threadbare carpets line the dark corridor, its only source of light lying beyond the arched opening. Several benches rest along the walls near an overturned desk in a nearby corner.
You also see an Elpalzi guard, a darkened stairwell and a sweeping archway.
Also here: Alret.
Obvious exits: west.
Alret steps onto a darkened stairwell, beginning his descent.

Alret came through a cell door.
Alret says, "Ahh yes..."
Alret removes a black leather bullwhip from his belt.
Alret draws the bullwhip through his hand.
Alret chuckles.
Alret says, "My kind was born to make war and die."
Alret says, "Try another threat."
Alret just went through a cell door, dragging Iazen with him.
[Sorrow's Keep, The Dungeon]
Dank drafts filter through the large chamber, the cold stone providing little in the way of merciful treatment. Manacles dangle from the walls at various stations, the heavy irons mottled with rust-colored splotches. Menacing metal frameworks line the far wall, their intended use made obvious by the limb restraints fashioned into the mechanisms.
You also see a crumbling wall, a cell door, an Elpalzi guard and an Elpalzi guard.
Also here: Court Scribe Iazen who is unconscious and Alret.
Obvious exits: north, south.
Alret grabs Iazen's arm and drags him north with him.
[Sorrow's Keep, Prisoner Detainment]
Rusted spikes line the upper ceiling while deep striations in the surrounding walls indicate the ceiling may have moved at one time. Wooden stools surround a splintered wood table at the center of the room, a rusted lantern on its surface providing minimal light to the area. A series of torturous devices line the perimeter, none of which imply the slightest hint of a quick and painless death.
You also see an iron maiden, a studded mahogany door, an Elpalzi guard and an Elpalzi guard.
Also here: Court Scribe Iazen who is unconscious and Alret.
Obvious exits: south, northwest.
Alret just went through a studded mahogany door, dragging Iazen with him.
