I don't expect the policy on cyclics while afk will be changing, even if you are in rest mode or have SLEEP activated. I say this because, even if you are NOT gaining EXP, your character is getting an advantage while logged in. Now, if you have dumped your character into a LOCKED room or a home, you are in sleep mode and not gaining exp and there's no chance any other character can come into the room your character is in, I personally cannot see a problem and I don't think any other GM would hit you with a warning for it. If you're going to be AFK, always cover your butt: use SLEEP, put yourself in a locked room, and shut off any scripts that may be considered helpful or beneficial (like crushing herbs or something.) Following those should keep you out of trouble. :)
