This is also, quite literally, what Naohhi said. There is no 'physical label' floating above the character, but it is a way of communicating the reputation that the character is attempting to put forth about themselves. That reputation and any reaction to it is IC.

beyond what happens when someone chooses to tell the world that they're a Necromancer (whether they really are or not), it is not at all OOC to respond to someone's title as if it were their reputation.
