| If we made harder tools work better with crafting, there would never be a reason to make or use easier tools. So, harder tools just offer more variety in terms of the extreme durability and potency - and that means either faster (more potent) or durable (takes more abuse before it begins penalizing you).
APPRAISE shows the MATERIAL properties. These may or may not have affected the final item's properties. ANALYZE shows the TOOL properties. These properties affect how well it performs with crafting. I would have prefered to keep it simple and not show the ingredient properties at all, but knowing the ingredients used is important if you ever want to enchant or reclaim the metal. | |
