Metal chisels, rifflers, and the rasp will all be forgeable with blacksmithing. Blacksmithing will also be introducing a new depth to tools. Currently, tools only have a durability. In the new system tools have a durability and a potency - how fast you can make things with them. Each type of tool will have 3-4 variants that trade off durability for potency, much like weapons trade stats for weight. Potency and durability are modified by the substances used to create the tools, offering a nice bit of customization for folks to play with.

Stone carving is one of the harder crafting systems to get into, just because the resources are so darn heavy. The deeding system will make that easier, and I do plan to add deed books where you can store up a hundred pieces of stone and turn them in as needed to train. One thought I had was allowing the MAMAS facilities to accept substance deeds. Of course, not every city has a MAMAS, so I will likely keep the ability to turn them in at Crafting Societies and maybe Trader Guildhalls.

The mines already support the deeding system for mined up rock and metal ore. When the piece is unearthed, you have about 30 seconds to PUSH it over to the side and get it traded in for a deed. Or, you can pick it up (if you are able to) and store it away. Untouched rock and metal breaks apart after that time so as to keep the area nice and clean. Hope that clarifies things.
