Taproom

[Paklin's Dive, Taproom]
A blackened, smoke-tinged window occupies the upper reaches of the southern wall of this dive bar. Sawdust covers most of the oaken floor, and bronze sconces adorn the paneled walls. Strange music wafts its way through the room, originating from several unusually dressed people atop the low-rise stage. A horseshoe-shaped bar is positioned prominently in the center of the taproom. Serving women race around the room delivering delicious drinks, while the bartender mixes up the next batch of intoxicants.

Up near the rafters, the blackened window provides no clue as to its purpose.

The extravagant horseshoe-shaped bar is intricately paneled in rosewood. A carved, marble slab serves as the countertop. There appears to be a small ladder behind the bar, while several bar stools line the opposing side.

The ladder is positioned unobtrusively behind the bar, descending into a blackened hole cut into the floor.

The house band-of-the-day performs upon the stage producing a cacophony of noise that is no way near in tune.

Dim Storeroom

[Paklin's Dive, Storeroom]
Dingy, crushed boxes are stacked precariously atop kegs scattered throughout this storeroom. A single torch is affixed to the middle of one of the deep, black walls. The flickering of the torch reveals a door and several different dice games taking place in the corners of the storeroom. Loud cries arise from the individuals who have lost one too many throws of the dice. A stray breeze from an unknown source meanders across the loose floorboards, carrying with it voices from the adjoining bar. A spiral staircase in the corner ascends into the shadows.
Obvious paths: east.

The boxes contain grain, hops and other ingredients involved in the beer making process.

The kegs contain beer for any and all upcoming celebrations!

On the kegs you see some crushed boxes and a mini-keg filled with lager.

Deep scars and scratches mar the surface of the oaken door, while iron bands provide some much-needed support.
It is open.

The single torch supplies just enough light to prevent tripping over a box or a keg.

The worn steps and dull wrought iron are evidence of the long time use of this well-traveled staircase.

Flooded Alleyway

[Paklin's Dive, Flooded Alleyway]
The slick alleyway is continuously overrun by a constant sludge of water and muck. Trash and debris flow down the dank street, making finding a stable purchase difficult. The walls along the opposite entryway are high and show signs of low upkeep and graffiti, while this wall contains a single wooden door.
Obvious paths: none.
Nighttime
[Paklin's Dive, Flooded Alleyway]
The slick alleyway is continuously overrun by a constant sludge of water and muck. Trash and debris flow down the dank street, making finding a stable purchase difficult. Several raccoons splash through the water, as if searching for something. The walls along the opposite entryway are high and show signs of low upkeep and graffiti, while this wall contains a single wooden door.
Obvious paths: none.
Active Items
Worn fabric covered in mold, rotting fruit and broken glass are all part of the debris inching its way along the alleyway.

Manager's Office

[Paklin's Dive, Manager's Office]
A large, ornately-edged window dominates the entire northern wall of this sparse office, overlooking a smoke-filled taproom. The remaining walls are painted a deep black and lack any adornments. A lone, smoky lantern resides upon a rosewood table. An opening in the floor accesses a spiral staircase that leads downward.

The bronze lantern provides marginally enough light to discern what else is on the table.

The initials "PS" have been scratched into the otherwise flawless surface of this old table. A pile of lose papers have been shoved under one leg of the table to maintain its balance, while more papers are stacked upon it. A leather chair is tucked against the table.

The papers look like they have been crumpled into a tiny wad and thrown haphazardly onto the table. Spilled beer and wine cover most of their surface.
There appears to be something written on it.

Crumbs and other bits of debris appear to be falling out of every nook and cranny of this chair. Stains from numerous spilled beverages also cover more than half of the chair.

Cellar

[Paklin's Dive, Cellar]
This musty cellar has seen better days. Cobwebs appear to cover most of the ceiling, and droppings from various vermin are everywhere. One entire wall showcases the intent of the cellar a floor to ceiling wine rack, fully stocked. The small ladder leading back to the taproom is settled snugly against the opposite wall.
