| You say, "Okay, I think we can probably get started! Thank you all for joining me here this evening."
The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Ophiliah casually observes the area. Kethrai assumes a rigid stance, concentrating on something. Ophiliah yawns expansively. You say, "There are several new visions to discuss... with some familiar imagery, and some other elements that are a bit more novel." Nawain gazes at you. Umptiskrunk raises an eyebrow. Kethrai angles his ears forward in curiosity. You say, "Let's see, to start..." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Umptiskrunk grins at Shaylynne. Shaylynne grins. Gwenddolyn says, "Just in time shay." You say, "A warm breeze carried the stench of humanity, refuse, and nesting pigeons. I gripped the railing of a balcony overlooking a sprawling, dense city. Busy streets, open markets, and bell towers stretched toward the horizon, shimmering in the heat of a summer afternoon. Along a nearby wall, children ran and laughed, leaping across gaps and sliding along slanted rooftops." Shaylynne nods to Gwenddolyn. Tirost smiles at Shaylynne. Shaylynne says, "I went to the wrong meeting room." Shaylynne blushes a bright red color. You say, "My gaze drifted further, where a figure a hundred feet tall walked across a wide thoroughfare. Its movements were slow but deliberate, stepping between stalls and carriages as traffic flowed around its massive feet like water around a stone. The giant placed a hand against a tower to steady its stride, and continued forward. A pair of pigeons circled the entity's shoulders, looking for a place to roost. The figure turned toward me, tilting its head in a slow gesture of curiosity." Shaylynne leans on Casari. Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. You say, "The vision faded." Karthor scratches his head. Elizzibiana asks in an archaic accent, "Hmm, the colossus maybe?" You say, "More peaceful than most visions with giant figures in them, at least." Imroth says, "Big guy." Gwenddolyn asks, "That tall humanoid thing that attacked crossings?" Elizzibiana nods to Gwenddolyn. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "That thing." Shaylynne nods to Casari. Tirost gazes thoughtfully at you. Umptiskrunk says, "Ump pretty big, even for Tog. But, Ump not hundred feet. Nope." You say, "Despite the size, I wasn't really able to tell much about the figure's actual appearance." Imroth nods. Gwenddolyn says, "Get new spectacles." Tirost nods to you. Karthor chuckles. You say, "It seemed like something that fit in the environment, though. Avoiding stepping on things, and the traffic just moving around it." Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Although I dont think the colossus was hundred feet tall." Gwenddolyn winks at Karthor. Kethrai nods to you. Zalinyar says, "It seemed to be in place, if he's using a tower to steady his hand, and traffic is moving around him without panic." The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Tirost says, "The children in the vision do not seem afraid of the giant." Nawain ponders. Imroth says, "Doesn't seem hostile though." Tirost nods to Imroth. Tirost says, "Even the birds seem at ease." Gwenddolyn says, "The first time it was hostile." Anuril dryly says, "I'm not sure I'd want a hundred foot tall giant leaning on my tower." You say, "It would have to be rather well constructed." You nod. Vaddon glances at Ophiliah. Vaddon sighs. Kethrai says, "If it's metaphorical this time... It could represent a giant walking amongst the common people, or to put it lightly, an adventurer." Ssylsqueth shakes Vaddon's hand. You nod to Kethrai. Imroth ponders. Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. You say, "For something literal, even trying to be careful something of that size would be rather dangerous, moving around a city." Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Is it clear that everyone in the vision is actively aware of the being? Not just... instinctively avoiding it? The pidgeons, I suppose.." Gwenddolyn says, "Let's hope that is not related of Liraxes machine that we all contributed materials to build." Imroth says, "I think moving around its feet assumes you are aware of it." Umptiskrunk nods to Imroth. Tirost says, "The giant also turns its attention to the visionary with curiosity." Nawain says to Imroth in a Rakash accent, "Not... necessarily, but perhaps." Imroth shrugs. Imroth says, "If I saw a giant foot I would look to see what it was attached to." You say, "Another possibility that occurred to me was something like the giant being an incarnation of the city itself. Though I'm not sure that helps with deciphering any actual meaning from the vision." The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Shaylynne grins at Imroth. Kethrai says to Imroth, "If you see a giant foot, thing you should do first is dodge. Just in case." Ssylsqueth smiles at Zalinyar. Umptiskrunk nods to Kethrai. Tirost chuckles at Kethrai. Shaylynne nods to Kethrai. Casari says, "Just don't dodge into its path. Like a puppy." Zalinyar hugs Ssylsqueth, getting a smile in return. Shaylynne says to Casari, "Avoid one get stepped on by the other." You say, "And try to dodge far. Hard to judge the movement speed of things that large." Imroth asks Kethrai, "You don't think my shield can stop the foot of a 100 ft tall giant???" Umptiskrunk rubs Zemfreed's head. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Your shield might but I think you'd be like a beetle under its foot. Crunchy." Imroth nibbles his lip thoughtfully. Shaylynne takes a sip of her wine. Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Jaelia beams! Umptiskrunk rubs Jaelia's head. Umptiskrunk rubs Amabalis's head. Amabalis taps Umptiskrunk on the nose and exclaims, "Boop!" (Jaelia offers hugs to any who want them.) Jaelia nods. Umptiskrunk giggles at Amabalis. You say, "For the second vision, another curious one..." Zemfreed hugs Jaelia, who wraps her arms around Zemfreed with a warm smile. You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Umptiskrunk takes a sip of his cocktail. You say, "I sat at a drafting desk where the floor plan of a wide manor was unrolled before me. Elegant geometries of doors and plumbing formed a landscape of right angles and arcs. The passages were arrayed to maximize airflow, while hot water piping snaked through thick, load-bearing walls. A grand staircase curved through an expansive hall, and several closets featured disguised doorways marked by a tiny, cramped script." You say, "Suddenly, red footprints emerged from a guest room, pacing down a back stair toward the library. As they reached the threshold, a second set of black footprints appeared in the center of the room. They pivoted sharply, wide and braced, to face the door. The red prints halted at the entrance, shifting in preparation, and a single print vanished as the door line swung into a curved, open arc. The black footprints raced forward to meet the intrusion, and suddenly, a dull, vibrating droning began to swell from the paper itself." You say, "The vision faded." Tirost ponders. Gwenddolyn says, "Eerie." Ellywen dusts herself off. Bulvine grins at Shaylynne. Shaylynne waves to Bulvine. Zehira stares fixedly at her summer gown, studying it intently. Bulvine grins at Zemfreed. Ophiliah casually observes the area. Zehira flicks a bit of lint off her summer gown, ensuring that the garment is suitable for presentation. You say, "Possibly an observation of a murder attempt in action." The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Elizzibiana nods to Zehira. Ophiliah gives Ellywen a smooch. Ellywen waves to Shaylynne. Umptiskrunk gets a vat of scalp wax from inside his watersilk bag. Ellywen gives Ophiliah a smooch. Ellywen snorts at Kethrai. Shaylynne waves to Ellywen. Ophiliah hugs Dilemma, getting a smile in return. Zehira nods to Elizzibiana. Umptiskrunk globs some scalp wax onto his hand and rubs it into Bulvine's scalp, bringing out a soft glow. Bulvine grins at Umptiskrunk. Ellywen waves to Gridaksma. Gridaksma bows his head in acknowledgement. Zehira rolls her eyes. Imroth asks, "Any ideas?" Kethrai nods to Nawain. Tirost asks you, "Is it some kind of paper that reveals who is in an area?" Nawain stands near Kethrai. You say to Tirost, "It could be something like that, or it could be a matter of how I was perceiving the events it was showing." Trajan says, "I'm more interested in the fact that the plans included plumbing." Tirost nods to you. Gwenddolyn chuckles at Zalinyar. Shaylynne chortles softly at some secret joke. Umptiskrunk says, "Is red, is black. Is maybe moons? But, no blue." Umptiskrunk ponders. Trajan says, "I would like to hire this architect." Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning murky black cigarillo. You say, "The red and black footprints clearly looked like they were headed toward violence, but I'm not sure what caused the droning noise." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Imroth nods to you. Tirost nods to you. Zalinyar says, "Probably unfinished plumbing." Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "One print also vanished, from the red side." Kethrai says to Elizzibiana, "Seems like they kicked open the door." Elizzibiana shrugs. You nod to Kethrai. Zemfreed nods to Kethrai. Karthor says in a Haakish accent, "Sounds like that's no ordinary library." Karthor scratches his head. Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning murky black cigarillo. Zalinyar ponders. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Or stepped into another plane." Trajan nods to Zalinyar. Zalinyar says, "Hmmmmmm Maybe the library in the Keep is finally going to get opened." Tirost says to Kethrai, "Mmmm... like the paper shows only where someone has their feet on the floor." You say, "Since the red prints started in the guest room, my assumption is that the black footprints are more likely to be the owner of the manor." Ellywen kisses Dilemma. And she doesn't seem to want to stop. You say, "Either an actual guest, or perhaps coming in through a window in an unused room." Dilemma kisses Ellywen. And she doesn't seem to want to stop. Kethrai nods to you. Kethrai says, "But black-footprints was ready for them and ran to fight, not flee." You nod. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "One defending their home would not be unusual though." Tirost says, "And then the vibrations and droning from the paper start." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Imroth says, "Such a strange format for a vision though." Zalinyar says, "I'm curious of the blueprints are they something from a building yet to be built, in the process of being built, or from long ago." Kethrai says, "I think the kind of person who would have disguised doorways and secret passages everywhere would be more likely to use those than to charge in weapon swinging." You say, "And since the red prints went straight for the library and apparently kicked in the door, it seems likely violence was the intention. An attack on someone, perhaps the owner, in an expensive home. And the target is apparently a capable fighter." Gwenddolyn says, "Or an angry ex wife." Zalinyar says, "Or someone after knowledge that's been locked away for eons." Vaddon nods. Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum. The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Zalinyar bats her eyes at Vaddon. Tirost takes a sip of his Expanse. Amabalis nods at Jaelia, obviously agreeing with her views. Zehira takes a sip of her tea. You say, "There's three more visions to discuss tonight, and they are all quite interesting in different ways. But, hmm... To pick one to talk about next..." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Vaddon smiles at you. You say, "A busy workshop churned loudly, pistons pumping, gears churning, sparks crackling from screaming flames. An army of figures scurried around, expertly operating complex machinery, performing intricate series of actions on inscrutable parts, slotting glowing or hissing or vibrating trinkets into precision slots with the barest of tolerances, and in all of the ordered chaos, I was unable to make sense of what any of this was accomplishing. No component seemed the same as any other, yet each laborer quickly generated and handed off part after part. It was unclear if anything was actually being built, or, if the whole of the production line was merely converting raw materials into constructed nonsense." You say, "Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned to see the woman in the wide-brimmed hat, smoking a cigarillo. "Creation is a scab," she remarked, exhaling a cloud of smoke. "And now they itch." She smirked." You say, ""To think," she added, "they came to see me bleed." You say, "The vision faded." Jaelia hugs Mistanna, who wraps her arms around Jaelia with a warm smile. Mistanna hugs Jaelia, who wraps her arms around Mistanna with a warm smile. Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Tirost smiles at Mistanna. Mistanna waves. Amabalis hugs Mistanna, who wraps her arms around Amabalis with a warm smile. You say, "Quite a bit going on there..." Mistanna just hugged Amabalis. Zehira chortles softly at some secret joke. You smile at Mistanna. Mistanna beams at you! What a warm feeling! Vaddon says, "First thought was Aesthene." Karthor scratches his head. Zemfreed hugs Mistanna, who wraps her arms around Zemfreed with a warm smile. Umptiskrunk rubs Mistanna's head. Mistanna hugs Zemfreed, getting a smile in return. Mistanna hugs Umptiskrunk, getting a smile in return. Zemfreed sits down on the comfortable chair. Nawain hugs Mistanna, who wraps her arms around Nawain with a warm smile. Nawain beams at Mistanna! Ophiliah says, "Reminds me of the machinery thingy near theren." Anuril whispers something to Kethrai. You ask, ""Creation is a scab"... So creation is made from a wound on something beyond that? Or just by existing it causes discomfort to something?" Zehira takes a sip of her tea. Imroth takes a sip of his cocktail. Zalinyar nods to Vaddon. Amabalis ponders. Trajan asks, "Is the woman in the wide-brimmed hat a Herald?" Zehira takes a sip of her tea. Zehira nods to Ellywen. Imroth nods. Zalinyar asks, "Wasn't there a lich woman who was known for smoking cigarillos and wearing a hat?" Kethrai says, "Well, a scab is protection, a barrier meant to keep anything from going in or out." You say, "She's certainly something." Tirost says to Trajan, "I'm very curious to know who she is." Tirost raises his Grey Expanse in a toast. Trajan nods to Tirost. Imroth says, "I don't think she is a Herald. She was in some visions around the time of their attack." Zehira takes a sip of her tea. Dilemma shifts her weight. Imroth says, "Some sort of cosmic sassy old lady." Tirost says to Kethrai, "A sign of healing, but here it's being associated with creation - kind a pointless, or chaotic creation..." Anuril takes his rightful place beside Kethrai. Trajan says, "Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting that one of the Heralds wears a literal wide-brimmed hat." Zalinyar says, "Perhaps a munitions line." You say, "So if creation itself is the scab, that leaves, what? The Planar Void? Or perhaps the Plane of Exile." Amabalis grins, revealing her dimples. Zemfreed nods to Jaelia. Kethrai says, "'Creation' can mean the process, or the product." Elizzibiana says to Zalinyar in an archaic accent, "Lady P." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Gwenddolyn nods to Elizzibiana. Imroth asks, "That's the cataract lady, yeah?" Zalinyar ponders. Umptiskrunk takes a sip of his cocktail. Elizzibiana says to Zalinyar in an archaic accent, "Ptherwise known as Penelope." Zalinyar says to Elizzibiana, "That might be it." Imroth glances at Jaelia. Imroth grins at Jaelia. Elizzibiana gets a grilled sand spider heart stuffed with garlic-flavored goat cheese and artichoke hearts from inside her spidersilk pack. Elizzibiana takes a bite of the heart. Elizzibiana licks the tips of her fingers. Jaelia whispers something to Imroth. You say, "In context, I think the "they" is whoever that army of figures represents, running around doing apparently random acts of construction." Zehira says to you in a refined accent, "Are you expecting violence at your meeting? You have people buffing and using wands and runestones and guarding people and joining groups." Elizzibiana chortles softly at some secret joke. Gwenddolyn chuckles. Zehira says in a refined accent, "It's all quite a lot." Tirost says to you, "Do you have any sense of the woman wearing the hat? Her motives or goals? She appears often, but I feel like I still don't have a good sense of her goals." Vaddon chuckles. Vaddon nods. Zalinyar asks, "Couldn't that represent Elanthians? The folks mindlessly milling about creating things for no real reason?" Ellywen says to Anuril in a lilting accent, "It's your turn to shake all your wands." Ellywen says in a lilting accent, "Oh.. you did it." Ellywen looks at Anuril and applauds! Anuril says, "Way ahead of you." Ophiliah laughs! Zehira waves dismissively. You say, "I certainly hope there won't be any violence, but I know many people prefer not to have a chance at being caught with their guard down." Vaddon chuckles. Zehira says to Anuril in a refined accent, "Are you expecting someone to bust in here and kill everyone? That's a lot of wands for a little man." Ophiliah leans against a large curving diamondwood bar. Amabalis grins at Jaelia, her dimples flashing into view. Ellywen giggles. Jaelia coughs. Imroth smirks. Elizzibiana leans against some sturdy bookcases packed with reference material. Ophiliah takes a sip of her cocktail. Zalinyar offers Vaddon a glass of Howling Coyote rum. Vaddon smiles at Zalinyar. Umptiskrunk licks an enormous ring pop flaunting a wine-red sugar crystal. Zehira says to you in a refined accent, "I suppose. I never buff in the city, it's droll." You say to Zalinyar, "It's possible. But if not the figures I was looking at, I have no idea who the woman would be referring to by "they"." Kethrai says to Zehira, "And illegal." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Zalinyar giggles at Vaddon. Hebion raises an eyebrow. Agostom asks in an insular accent, "Buffs are illegal?" Zehira says to Kethrai in a refined accent, "Not all the ones I use." Vaddon takes a sip of his rum. Imroth ponders. Imroth takes a sip of his cocktail. Ophiliah asks, "Is the rum good?" You say, "The fact that "they" came to see her bleed is certainly interesting... Hard to make a lot of that now, but could potentially be a clue to her nature, if we can decipher what the figures represent." Ophiliah grins at Vaddon. Tirost says to Zehira, "We don't care." Vaddon nods in agreement. Amabalis nods at Jaelia, obviously agreeing with her views. Ophiliah takes a sip of her cocktail. Zehira asks Tirost in a refined accent, "I'm sorry? Who are you again?" Imroth asks, "Like they are building something to hurt her?" Ellywen says to Zehira in a lilting accent, "A local bard, I think? With all the songs and poems and such.. that's my guess." Zalinyar nods to Imroth. Zehira nods at Ellywen, obviously agreeing with her views. Zehira snaps her fingers. Zehira exclaims in a refined accent, "That's it!" You say to Imroth, "Maybe. Or, hmm..." The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Vaddon shifts his weight. Shaylynne takes a sip of her wine. Zalinyar asks Imroth, "And if "theyy" came to watch her bleed, does that indicate she's captive?" Umptiskrunk asks, "What build seems not have clear purpose. Is could just represent how curious people do curious things?" Karthor asks in a Haakish accent, "The bleedin' bit could just be from pickin' at the itchy scab, eh?" You ask, "In the way she phrased that, could she be implying that the scab exists in the first place because someone came to see her bleed, and the results of that attempt?" You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation. Imroth says, "She doesn't seem very captive." Ophiliah says, "Or the scab is annoying and itching.. like some people." Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Wish the visions would get a better look at her, might give us some clues." Elizzibiana chortles softly at some secret joke. Umptiskrunk nods to Elizzibiana. Ophiliah says, "Thank you again." Ophiliah nods to Nawain. Imroth says, "There have been several visions with her. Or at least a very similar figure." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Umptiskrunk nods to Imroth. You nod. Nawain glances at Ophiliah. You say, "We have a few good features to look for, at least, with her scarred face and cataract eyes." Tirost takes a sip of his Expanse. Shaylynne ponders. Elizzibiana says to Imroth in an archaic accent, "Quite a few but none really give us a good look at her." Tirost says, "It's hard to tell what her relationship to the workshop is." The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. You say, "There are two more visions to discuss tonight, and both of them feature some imagery that seems new to me." Zalinyar kisses Vaddon on the nose. Trajan says, "I don't think it's insignificant that she takes on the same specific appearance in every vision." Zalinyar grins at Vaddon, her dimples flashing into view. You say, "Next, let's see..." Imroth says, "She thinks they want her to bleed. Also she thinks they are a bit of a scab." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. You say, "The cold desert night stretched around me, dry and vast. Tall cacti branched toward the stars, backlit by the blue climb of Xibar as it chased the fleeing shadow of Katamba. Dunes flowed like waves, hissing sand against my skin in an exhilarating tickle. Xibar walked its light like fingers along my spine, and as I shivered, a scorpion approached. Beneath the colorless glow of Katamba, the scorpion's carapace flowed like water, gold fluid dripping from its stinger. The creature swayed, its tail snapped forward into the dark, and then it faded into nothingness." You say, "A rapid scratching erupted where the stinger struck. A fat gecko twisted and clawed at the dunes, dying. Its mouth opened wider than should be possible, revealing a tongue speckled with distant stars. As the gecko went still, its tongue lolled into the dust. The stars began to bleed out, staining the desert sands just as Yavash peaked above the horizon." You say, "The vision faded." Gwenddolyn says, "Muspari." Nawain raises an eyebrow. You say, "The scorpion, of course, is not new. The gecko, on the other hand..." Tirost nods to you. Nawain nods to you. Gwenddolyn asks, "A new god?" Vaddon says, "Not sure I know what a gecko is. Haven't seen it around before, I don't think." You say, "The scorpion with gold dripping from its stinger seems very likely to be Urrem'tier." Elizzibiana asks Gwenddolyn in an archaic accent, "Arent there sand dunes on m'riss also?" Shaylynne asks, "Bleeding stars?" Nawain nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Gwenddolyn nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Vaddon says, "Then again, I'm drawn to shiny." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Vaddon glances at Zalinyar. Amabalis nods to Jaelia. Zalinyar looks at Vaddon and blushes. You say, "The gecko... seems perhaps related to something from the Plane of Probability, from the involvement of stars." Umptiskrunk ponders. Umptiskrunk takes a sip of his cocktail. Vaddon nods to Elizzibiana. You say, "The prominence of the moons certainly speaks to me, as a Moon Mage." Gwenddolyn pets her sapphire-eyed lizard, running her fingers lightly over the articulated ridges of its spine. The lizard stretches, folding its wings against its body. Vaddon says to Elizzibiana, "That's where my mind went." Casari says, "Maybe, but divine beings tend to have a relationship to stars, too." Umptiskrunk nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Zalinyar asks, "Is the gecko a desert thing?" Elizzibiana nods to Vaddon. Kethrai asks, "Did it have a mouthful of stars already, or did the stinger's poison cause that?" Mistanna says, "That seems to designate a specific moment in time, as specific as the moon locations are." Shaylynne looks thoughtfully at Kethrai. Vaddon says, "Good point." Umptiskrunk nods to Mistanna. Tirost says, "I think of it as Urrem'tier combatting some foreign entity, represented, not as the familiar constelliations associated with our Immortals, but some other beings that seek to exert their influence here." Gwenddolyn says, "It is in between a salamander and a lizard in size and looks." Kethrai takes a deep breath, looking serene and determined. Elizzibiana ponders. Vaddon asks, "Can you eat em?" Mistanna chuckles at Vaddon. Vaddon says, "Asking for a friend." Gwenddolyn looks at Vaddon and shrugs. Umptiskrunk says to Vaddon, "Can eat most things." Amabalis giggles. Umptiskrunk nods. Trajan says, "Geckos don't strike me as particularly threatening." Imroth says, "Urrem'tier on a rampage against all star stuff." Bulvine nods at Umptiskrunk, obviously agreeing with his views. Bulvine roots around the area for a moment. Bulvine forages around the area for a while until he finds a rock. Bulvine messily gobbles down a rock. Vaddon grins at Bulvine. Bulvine licks his lips. Agostom says to Vaddon in an insular accent, "You can eat anything, at least once, if you're determined." Nawain squints at Imroth. Umptiskrunk nods to Bulvine. Umptiskrunk roots around the area for a moment. Umptiskrunk forages around the area for a while until he finds a rock. Zalinyar says, "I was thinking like this, apparently, as I leared today there are sky rats in this part of the world. Maybe it's a desert critter gonna be in the sky." Umptiskrunk messily gobbles down a rock. Gwenddolyn says, "Geckos kill lots of bugs, so they bring luck." Umptiskrunk licks the tips of his fingers. Imroth says to Agostom, "Eat the sun." Agostom sighs. Agostom says to Imroth in an insular accent, "Fine, most things." Bulvine gets a bottle of donkey blood from inside his lunch pail. Bulvine guzzles down some of his blood and then smacks his lips and wipes them with his sleeve. Imroth grins at Agostom. Zalinyar peers quizzically at Bulvine. You say, "I can't think of any prominent symbolism featuring geckos, though perhaps there's something that's not coming to mind." Bulvine peers quizzically at Zalinyar. Umptiskrunk says, "Is interesting to Ump that stars come from geko. Like geko ate and then came back up when dead." Tirost nods to you. Elizzibiana ponders pivahs Elizzibiana chuckles. Zalinyar says to Bulvine, "I was just really hoping that wasn't Beaus blood." Imroth nods to Umptiskrunk. Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Tirost says to you, "Our Immortals represent themselves with animals and with stars. That is why I think this may be one that is foreign." Imroth says to Umptiskrunk, "That's what I thought too. Sort of what made me say the "eat the sun" bit. Cause the gecko seemed like he had eaten stars." Umptiskrunk nods to Imroth. Gridaksma asks, "I believe there was something to do with them in Taisidon, perhaps related to the S'kra Kor?" Ophiliah takes a sip of her cocktail. You say, "The way its mouth opened wider than should be possible, and then had distant stars speckling its tongue does make me think it probably represents something large in scope, in some fashion." Elizzibiana fixes Gridaksma with a cold, reptilian stare. Umptiskrunk says, "All peoples know, stars come from Phelim. So, is weird to Ump that geko have." Zalinyar says, "But the gecko didn't appear until the scorpion struck the desert. So what does the golden drops and the scorpion vemon represent." Gridaksma says, "It's one way holy magic is represented." Bulvine says to Zalinyar, "Might be... I nay know who Beaus be." Amabalis nods at Jaelia, obviously agreeing with her views. You say, "I think the gecko was hidden under the sand, and the scorpion sensed it and struck." Kethrai says, "The golden venom is what Urrem'tier used to poison the Heralds. Might also be using it against other extra-planar beings." Mistanna nods to you. Tirost nods to Kethrai. Shaylynne nods to Kethrai. Zalinyar nods to Kethrai. Shaylynne says, "Maybe he is still protecting us from threats we don't know about." Amabalis nods at Jaelia, obviously agreeing with her views. Tirost nods to Shaylynne. Karthor says in a Haakish accent, "Wonder what strange properties star-stained sand might have." Casari says, "They better be, since the Heralds surely aren't." Karthor scratches his head. Imroth says, "Maybe the gecko had been stealing his secret stash of star goop." Zalinyar says, "So, the gecko's dying lolling tongue puking stars could represent another extraplaniar threat." Tirost says, "Urrem'tier used a similar tactic to find a way into the null prison when our friends were taken." Shaylynne smirks at Imroth. Shaylynne nods to Zalinyar. Gwenddolyn says, "Interesting." Tirost says, "He can percieve things we cannot, and that's how we found Miskton and the others." Umptiskrunk rubs a dark blue nightingale feather. Umptiskrunk gazes upward. Nawain nods in agreement. Kethrai says, "We still don't know what ultimately came of the Involuted Passage or who sent it in the first place." You nod. Tirost gazes thoughtfully at Kethrai. Amabalis nods in agreement. Ellywen nods to Zehira. Ellywen hugs Zehira, who wraps her arms around Ellywen with a warm smile. Zehira hugs Ellywen, who wraps her arms around Zehira with a warm smile. Shaylynne asks, "Wasn't there concern about holes or leaks in the umm bulwark or something like that?" Anuril squints. Zehira gently kisses Dilemma on the cheek. Kethrai closes his eyes for a moment and grows still. Imroth says, "Bulwark strong like tackle box." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. You say, "There have certainly been a number of visions that seem to suggest movement from the Involuted Passage or something similar. Though many of those featured water, rather than desert." You ponder. Trajan nods to Imroth. Shaylynne nods to you. Hebion looks at Imroth and sighs. Imroth nods. You say, "A scorpion is certainly more at home in the desert, though." Bulvine buffs his scalp, making it shine. Shaylynne says, "Deserts are just ocean floors with the water missing." Elizzibiana chuckles at Shaylynne. Trajan squints at Shaylynne. Trajan says to Shaylynne, "You're technically not wrong." Agostom says in an insular accent, "The best kind of not wrong." Zalinyar says to Shaylynne, "I love that perspective." You say, "And then the last vision to discuss this evening..." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Shaylynne grins. Jaelia nods at Shaylynne, obviously agreeing with her views. You say, "Speaking of the ocean..." Ophiliah takes a sip of her cocktail. You say, "Waves shoved me down into the choking dark. I pushed for the surface, but a breaking swell flung me into the depths. As panic set in, a cold, unyielding skeletal hand grasped my forearm and hauled me onto a dry, crystal platform. The air there was warm as the angry seas broke against an invisible barrier." Trajan nods to Agostom. Zalinyar says, "I may like the desert slightl less than before." You say, "A tall skeleton with cold stars for eyes knelt beside me, its burnt bones etched in dancing fractals and flowing glass. It slapped my back as I retched seawater, and after a spell of hacking and gasping, I looked up at the twinkling starlight eyes, and hearing a sound like grinding crystal, I realized the creature was laughing. It offered me a cigarillo, which I took with trembling fingers." Vaddon grins at Zalinyar. You say, ""Almost lost you there," a surprisingly calm, echoing voice remarked. "Need a light? It'll help the nerves." You say, "The entity curved a graceful phalange toward me, its tip igniting with a flickering, light-drinking flame." Shaylynne ponders. You say, "The vision faded." Tirost raises an eyebrow in your direction. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Burning touch." Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "And more stars." Umptiskrunk says, "And more smoking." Umptiskrunk nods. Karthor scratches his head and looks around with a confused expression. Shaylynne says, "Sounds tradery." Ophiliah says, "So... it saved yi." Kethrai says, "A 'light-drinking flame' is a bit alarming." Ophiliah says, "You." Tirost says to Shaylynne, "But the skeleton with starry eyes..." You say, "Some of the more powerful shadow creatures from the Plane of Probability have somewhat skeletal appearances, but this didn't quite match any that I'm aware of. And... none of them are likely to be so pleasant for a seer to interact with." Imroth says, "Maybe that's the old lady after they got her to bleed." Trajan says, "Nothing like a comforting pat on the back from a cosmic skeleton." Ophiliah chuckles at Imroth. Imroth says, "Maybe she lost more than a little blood." Amabalis grins at Trajan, her dimples flashing into view. Shaylynne grins at Imroth. Umptiskrunk chuckles at Trajan. Imroth exclaims, "But not her love for tobacco!" Zalinyar says, "Are there still missing shards of.... what was that moon... started with a G I think..." Zalinyar ponders. Shaylynne says to Imroth, "That kind of makes sense." Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Gwenddolyn says, "It is the tobacco that killed her." Gwenddolyn chuckles. Kethrai says, "Grazhir." Mistanna says, "Grazhir." Zalinyar nods. Zalinyar says, "Thats it." Vaddon says, "Grazhir." Zalinyar asks, "Are there still missing shards?" Umptiskrunk says, "Maybe this is something that happen to smoking lady. Is start her nasty habit." Anuril asks, "Could the sea be the astral plane?" Gwenddolyn says, "Yes, in the ocean." Casari asks, "Are you asking if people have found every piece of an entire moon?" Zalinyar nods. Mistanna says, "Most of it." Zalinyar ponders. Jaelia rubs Umptiskrunk's head. Kethrai says, "There are likely always going to be missing shards. Countless of them." You say, "Define missing? There are countless tiny bits of Grazhir scattered around, many in the ocean." Umptiskrunk beams at Jaelia! Gwenddolyn says, "And the one from tiv's old guild." Zalinyar says, "And a crystal island." Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Although I agree with Shay, the glass parts. Also remind me of Lirxes." Gwenddolyn nods. Gwenddolyn nods to Elizzibiana. You say to Anuril, "The sea being the Astral Plane is a good thought." Machera says, "Skeletal hand and the crystal platform is making me think of Zaulfung." Mistanna nods to Machera. Shaylynne nods. Gwenddolyn says, "Liraxes machine is making me wonder what it is being used for now." Elizzibiana nods to Gwenddolyn. Imroth ponders. Zalinyar says to Gwenddolyn, "Not everyone voted." Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum. Kethrai says, "Liraxes was more, uh... pure? Fractal crystals. This sounds like animated remains of a living being." Zalinyar gazes upward. You say, "Stars for eyes, a laugh like grinding crystal, and the fractals on the bones certainly speak to something from the Plane of Probability. The pleasant encounter does not, though." Umptiskrunk licks an enormous ring pop flaunting a wine-red sugar crystal. Zalinyar asks, "Like a glaes constructmaybe?" Gwenddolyn says, "A crystal construct." Anuril says, "Perhaps a moon mage got stranded in the astral and built themself a new body." Tirost says, "It's clear the skeleton helped the visionary, and it's hard to dismiss Imroth's take about the woman with cataracts given the cigarillo, but maybe I'm focusing too much on that aspect of the vision." Trajan says, "Granted my experiences are limited, but I have yet to encounter anything from the Plane of Probability that was very emotionally expressive." Shaylynne asks, "Monks are associated with crystals, too. Isn't there a platform over that way, too?" Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Imroth says, "Crystals are.. everywhere." Shaylynne grins at Imroth. Zalinyar says, "Well, if it is supposed to represent that P lady, given the cigarillo, sans hat on a skeleton head of course, perhaps it's a construct of hers." Machera says to Shaylynne, "As much as it shames me, I'm uncertain about that." Umptiskrunk pats Machera on the back. Imroth says, "Her hat probably doesn't fit now that she lost all her skin." Umptiskrunk takes a sip of his cocktail. Shaylynne frowns, shaking her head with an expression of exasperation before resting her face in the palm of her hand. Elizzibiana chortles softly at some secret joke. Zalinyar grins at Imroth, her dimples flashing into view. Trajan says, "Nothing in any of these visions has lead me to believe that smoking is at all good for you." Umptiskrunk says, "Ump would be sad if Ump's hat didn't fit anymores." Shaylynne nods to Umptiskrunk. Trajan says, "Scabs and skeletons are not a ringing endorsement." Imroth exclaims, "The skeleton is still laughing and having a good time!" Shaylynne says, "Couldn't even quit after death." Shaylynne nods to Imroth. Zalinyar says, "But the representation hasn't been threatening at all." Tirost says to Imroth, "It is an oddly gregarous skeleton." You say, "The contrast of the burnt skeleton with stars for eyes doing something so mundane as offering a cigarillo and a light feels like it has some importance, but I'm not sure exactly what." Tirost grins at Imroth. Jaelia bows her head and chants catechisms. Imroth grins at Trajan. You say, "And yes, whatever it is, it does at least seem to be friendly." Umptiskrunk nods. Imroth says, "It is also holding back a storm." Trajan says to Tirost, "Is it odd? I haven't socialized with many skeletons." Shaylynne says, "Perhaps the makers of cigarillos are paying something in the plane of probability for advertisements." Zalinyar says, "Maybe there's smoking on the starry road, and that's our guide." Shaylynne nods. Tirost says to Trajan, "The ones I've encountered have yet to offer me a cigarillo for my nerves." Trajan nods to Shaylynne. Shaylynne grins at Tirost. Tirost grins at Trajan. Gwenddolyn says, "Zali will burn te starry road." Gwenddolyn chortles softly at some secret joke. Kethrai says, "Technically we're all pretty gregarious skeletons, we just still have our flesh attached." Anuril snorts, loudly. Amabalis nods to Jaelia. Zalinyar giggles. Umptiskrunk blinks at Kethrai. Karthor chuckles. Vaddon appears to be trying hard not to grin. Tirost chuckles. Umptiskrunk says to Kethrai, "Is not wrong." Trajan asks Tirost, "But did they offer you an axe, for your limbs?" Ellywen nods. Shaylynne grins at Trajan. Ssylsqueth's tail undulates passively just above the ground. Zalinyar playfully says to Gwenddolyn, "I'll burn whatever I feel like in the moment." Zalinyar waggles her fingers mystically at Gwenddolyn. How nice. Amabalis nods at Jaelia, obviously agreeing with her views. Trajan nods to Kethrai. Gwenddolyn looks at Zalinyar and sighs. Tirost says to Trajan, "Mmm... possible. I've probably met some that have offered me the axe, and some that would've liked my limbs." Zalinyar raises her voice in merry laughter. Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum. Amabalis giggles at Jaelia. Zalinyar pats Gwenddolyn on the back. You say, "As far as the idea of a moon mage lost to another plane managing to construct themselves a new form... I suppose that's not impossible. Tezirah seems to have done it. I have trouble imagining her being so casually friendly, though." Agostom chuckles at Ellywen. Umptiskrunk ponders. Umptiskrunk nods to you. Agostom grins at Ellywen. Umptiskrunk takes a bite of the pop. Vaddon takes a sip of his rum. Vaddon takes a sip of his rum. Vaddon takes a sip of his rum. Vaddon takes a sip of his rum. Vaddon takes a sip of his rum. Shaylynne blinks. Imroth glances at Vaddon. Mistanna chuckles. Gwenddolyn gazes at Vaddon. Vaddon blinks. Kethrai gazes at Vaddon. Vaddon says, "Eek." Umptiskrunk says to Vaddon, "Slow down. There's lots." Tirost asks Vaddon, "Will I be carrying you home, sir?" Vaddon says, "Good stuff." Kethrai quietly says to Vaddon, "We might have to cut you off, my friend." Jaelia exclaims, "Rum-mancers!" Jaelia lets out a hearty cheer for Vaddon! You chuckle. Imroth takes a sip of his cocktail. Amabalis giggles. Trajan says to Vaddon, "You may want to slow it down there a bit, if you want to make it to the end of the meeting." Jaelia lets out a hearty cheer for Zalinyar! Vaddon nods. Vaddon says, "Agreed." Ophiliah gazes at Vaddon. Zalinyar says to you, "Maybe she found out being mean gets her nowhere, and the nicety is just......" Gwenddolyn snickers at Zalinyar. Vaddon blushes a bright red color. The tip of Ssylsqueth's tail makes lazy circles in the air. Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum. Vaddon licks his lips. Casari waves. You say, "Anyway! That covers the visions I had to discuss tonight." Ophiliah says, "No no.. keep drinking." Zemfreed nods to Jaelia. Imroth lets out a loud "Huzzah!" for you! Ophiliah nods to Vaddon. Gwenddolyn waves. Zalinyar waves a glass goblet of darkefire rum with silver varked flames around. Gwenddolyn says, "Thanks miskton." Zalinyar says, "It's a big goblet." Gwenddolyn waves. Vaddon says, "I'm thirsty." Vaddon glances at Zalinyar. Ophiliah chortles softly at some secret joke. Tirost says to you, "Thank you for sharing your visions, Miskton." You say, "Though, does anybody by chance have a siegery set easily available, and feel up for a match? I mentioned it before the meeting, but I've got a few new pieces to try out." Trajan says, "I'm Trajan." You grin. Trajan shakes Vaddon's hand. Amabalis giggles. Imroth says to you, "Excellent meeting as usual. Thank you for hosting." Ellywen gives Ophiliah a smooch. Ellywen waves to Ophiliah. Dilemma nods in agreement. Ellywen smiles. Imroth waves his hands around. Vaddon says, "Yes, thank you Miskton." Kethrai bows to you. Shaylynne nods to you. You carefully mark your place and close your astronomer's journal, securing the clasp. You put your journal in your scholar's valise. Shaylynne grins at Trajan. Imroth raises his hand in a quick salute. Ophiliah nods to Mistanna. You exclaim, "And thank you all for coming!" |
