| You say, "Okay, I think we can probably get started! Thank you all for joining me here this evening. If everyone can please settle down, we can begin."
You say, "There are a number of new visions to discuss this meeting, some of which seem to have at least thematic links to some visions we discussed at the last meeting." Ryeka nods to you. You say, "Unfortunately, that theme does seem to possibly relate to the Involuted Passage." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Zersha asks in a Velakan accent, "Is that that ship in the sky?" Zersha peers quizzically at you. Sofina asks, "Theres a ship in the sky?" Zersha says to Sofina in a Velakan accent, "I heard about it, it was full of crystal thingies." Kethrai says, "I'd rather know about what it's up to than not. We were pretty confident we hadn't seen the last of it." You say, "I suppose you could call it a ship, in a sense. A large, crystalline... thing." Nawain nods in agreement. Sofina says, "Oooooh." Sofina says, "That thing." Sofina says, "With those weird creatures pushing and pulling each other." Sofina nods. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "It sailed through the sky, sounds like a ship to me." Zersha shrugs. You say, "In the previous meeting, we discussed a vision featuring a crauyarin scuttler, and that appeared to involve some sort of time loop in which the seer is accosted, then runs and comes back to see it happening to themselves." You say, "Now there is another vision that seems to involve the flow of time behaving oddly." Ryeka nods to you. Nawain frowns. Rwendin nods. Imroth scratches his head. You say, "A wind-swept balcony overlooked a sea of clouds. A man sat at a desk, eye pressed to a brass telescope focused on a slight blue smudge between the stars. I watched the man dip a quill into an inkpot, his hand flying across parchment in a precise scrawl. Before the ink dried, the letters vanished, withdrawing along the lines back into the quill. The man cursed, blinking in confusion as he found the vial's wax seal still intact. With a growl, the man cracked the seal and repeated the process, only to watch the log once again disappear." You say, "The man stared at the page of prior notes, looked at the sealed inkpot, and simply adjusted the telescope to a new location. Peering into the glass, he nodded, cracked the seal of the inkpot once again, dipped his quill, and began writing new observations. The smudge remained stationary in the sky, and the vision faded." Ryeka blinks. Nawain ponders. Anuril raises an eyebrow. You say, "A smudge in the sky was also how the Involuted Passage originally appeared, before it got close enough for more light to become visible." Ryeka nods. Kethrai nods in agreement. Anuril says, "Was it blue though? It sounds like a planet to me." You say, "Ink flowing back into the vial is more of a nuisance than a real danger, but the flow of time not working properly is unlikely to be a good sign." Rwendin nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Ryeka nods in agreement. Shaylynne ponders. Dilemma shifts her weight. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Time should definitely only flow forward." Nawain nods. Casari says, "Sort of like looking at the Heralds, except you don't need a song to remember their faces." Rwendin says, "Time is hard enough when it only moves the one way." Gwenddolyn says, "I am more interested as to what balcony he was standing on in the clouds." Gwenddolyn chuckles. Shaylynne says, "And rain should come down not up." Nawain nods at Rwendin, obviously agreeing with her views. Zersha nods at Rwendin, obviously agreeing with her views. Shaylynne nods to Nawain. Aemaranth asks Dilemma in a melodic accent, "Nothing is ever a good sign, is it?" Aemaranth grins at Dilemma, her dimples flashing into view. Nawain nods at Shaylynne, obviously agreeing with her views. Shaylynne says to Nawain, "But the visions don't care." Dilemma grins at Aemaranth. Nawain stubbornly says in a Rakash accent, "They should." Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "He could have just been in a really high tower, or in a tower on a mountain." You say, "The Involuted Passage was originally a smudge of pale light that was hard to make out, though eventually a bright blue light." Gwenddolyn nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Kethrai asks, "Has anyone heard from Aesthene or the Timekeepers lately...?" Rwendin ponders. Imroth ponders. Anuril asks, "One of the planets is covered in ocean, is it not? And there are, serpents there?" Ryeka says, "Only the timekeeper that wanders around in Crossing- usually near the temple." Anuril ponders. Casari says to Kethrai, "I have, or I am, or I will." You say, "It's not been that long since I last saw Raerethrew. But he's never... easy to talk to." Casari looks at Kethrai and shrugs. Umptiskrunk nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Kethrai snorts at Casari. Ryeka nods in agreement. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I've seen him dead more times than I'd like." You say to Anuril, "A vision seemed to indicate so, at least." Ryeka says, "I think he's lost his mind- poor boy." Anuril nods to you. Kethrai nods to Ryeka. Umptiskrunk nods at Ryeka, obviously agreeing with her views. Kethrai says, "Raerethrew might not be the best one to talk to, at this point." Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I'd think playing with time would be dangerous." Ryeka nods. Shaylynne asks, "He does talk about V...?" Shaylynne says, "I think that's what he said." Aemaranth says to Zersha in a melodic accent, "If you figure out how to do that, you have to include me in whatever idea you come up with." Shaylynne says, "Who was the person in the Temporal Pocket." Aemaranth grins at Zersha, her dimples flashing into view. Shaylynne shrugs. You say, "There's a couple other visions that have to do with the ocean to discuss as well, on that topic. And one of them seems to have some potential relation to the Involuted Passage as well. Or at least something likely related to the Plane of Probability." Zersha chuckles at Aemaranth. You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at you. Ryeka nods. You say, "A moonless night shrouded the landscape, the stars barely illuminating a rocky shoreline. A low, still fog wafted from the ocean, bringing the scent of salt and rot, dried seaweed and dead fish. A pinpoint of light flickered in the distance, bobbing across the surface. I heard a soft drumbeat keeping rowers in time, the dip and pull of oars carried across the windless dark." Zersha wrinkles her nose. You say, "Suddenly, a lighthouse flicked on, but instead of rotating its beacon, the sharply defined beam searched, swept, and focused upon the boat. The fog burned away, and instead of revealing a boat, I saw a multi-limbed crystalline creature, floating on an armored carapace, paddling with a row of broad-finned pleopods. The lighthouse tracked the creature, and a warning siren began to wail." You say, "The vision faded." Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Oh, ewww." Ryeka blinks. You say, "Yet another lighthouse appearance, as well." Anuril smirks. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Crystal kraken." Imroth says, "In disguise." Kethrai says, "Sounds like it's in Riverhaven..." Umptiskrunk says, "Crystal creatures can be tricksy." Aemaranth says to Zersha in a melodic accent, "Its no fun when the crystal cracks." You say, "Of course, that could also be something that rose out of the depths of our own planet, related to the crystal down in the depths..." Casari says, "If only there was a kraken hunter." Casari snaps her fingers. Ellywen nods to Zersha. Shaylynne says, "That could be tried and freed." Shaylynne nods to Casari. Gwenddolyn says, "And another boat ride with the lighthouse." Shaylynne grins at Casari. Ryeka ponders. Casari grins at Shaylynne. Aemaranth asks Casari in a melodic accent, "What if we found a way for you to set them on fire?" Aemaranth grins at Casari, her dimples flashing into view. Ophiliah asks, "Fire?" Ophiliah casually observes the area. Zersha looks at Ellywen, obviously trying not to grin, but the dimples in her cheeks give her away. Gwenddolyn asks, "What crystalline creature could it be?" Nawain glances at Ophiliah. Casari says to Aemaranth, "There's always a way." Casari nods emphatically at Aemaranth. You say, "I can't imagine that the crystal that fell in the ocean is going to do us any favors, but the other visions do seem to be pointing to the sky." Nawain takes a bite of her salmon and a look of hearty satisfaction crosses her face. Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Everything burns. Just take a look inside the Greater fist." Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Do those crystal critters have arms? I always forget what they're called." Ophiliah gazes at Aemaranth. Zersha asks in a Velakan accent, "Scuttler?" Umptiskrunk says to Aemaranth, "Ump get it. Is volcano. Good one." Kethrai asks Zersha, "Scuttlers?" Zersha nods to Kethrai. Shaylynne nods. Gwenddolyn asks, "Perhaps the crystalline creature hatched from the shard?" Ellywen grins. Shaylynne asks, "Avtalia scuttlers?" You ask Gwenddolyn, "Could be the Involuted Passage, could be something related to it. Could be... I don't know, a lobster ate that fragment of crystal in the ocean depths?" Zersha blinks at you. Ellywen begins chortling at Dilemma. Kethrai says, "They are multi-limbed, but they don't have flippers to swim with." Gwenddolyn says, "Seems more likely it came from the shard." Imroth chuckles. Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Speaking of burning things. I am off to do just that." You say, "One of those decapods turning into some sort of crystalline creature would also be highly unpleasant." Ellywen ponders. Rwendin nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Ellywen says in a lilting accent, "Burn a cigarillo for me." Ellywen nods to Aemaranth. Zersha takes a tiny bite of some highly-spiced tenderloin with an avocado and orange salsa and chews daintily on it. Ryeka takes a sip of her brandy. Ellywen hugs Aemaranth, who wraps her arms around Ellywen with a warm smile. Gwenddolyn says, "Somehow, I still think that all the shards will reassemble themselves, just like Liraxes did, and that may be related." Imroth ponders. You say, "Oh, and to clarify... A pleopod is the term for referring to one of the abdominal legs of a crustacean. That was something that did stand out to me, and stick in my mind from the vision." Trajan says, "If it doesn't resemble anything from this plane, there's always the possibility it came here from another." Umptiskrunk nods. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Maybe it'll be a friendly crystal lobster." Zersha takes a sip of her brandy. Gwenddolyn says, "I doubt it would taste as good." Gwenddolyn chuckles. Kethrai asks, "Crystalline creatures are often associated with the Plane of Probability, yeah?" Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Maybe we're all just going on a very exciting sailing excursion. In the fog. With monsters." You nod to Kethrai. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Friendly monsters." Trajan says, "I wouldn't waste butter on a crystal lobster." Ryeka grins at Trajan, her dimples flashing into view. You say, "The beings from the Plane of Probability that we've encountered seem to be roughly split into creatures of light, shadow, or crystal." Umptiskrunk nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Zersha pats a young temple rat. You say to Nawain, "Interesting that you should mention a sailing excursion..." Nawain exclaims in a Rakash accent, "Oo!" Nawain grins at you. Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at you. You say, "As I mentioned, there is another vision relating to the ocean." Zersha gazes at you. You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Casari asks you, "Aren't the crystals just solid light?" You say, "Ocean spray splashed my face, invigorating and cold. I shook my head as a strong breeze whipped the water from my eyes, and focused on the mainsail and jib, confident in their orientation. The lines were taut, and the boat creaked as it crested waves and surged forward. On the horizon, I spotted several small islands, each vaguely familiar in their shape and placement, but they did not have what I sought, for it was beyond the archipelago, outside the familiar. I adjusted the rudder, pointing the bow for the open sea. I knew I searched for something I would never find, yet the sails snapped joyfully in the wind." Umptiskrunk says, "Is refract light. Not made of light." You say, "The vision faded." Umptiskrunk nods to Casari. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "What's with all the oceanic visions? Feel like I ought to find an Air Bubble scroll or something, just to be safe." Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "That one seems rather nice." Casari says to Umptiskrunk, "Specifically those from the Plane of Probability. Normal shadows can't grab you, either, but those from there can." You nod to Zersha. Ryeka grins, revealing her dimples. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Sometimes it's just fun to explore." You say, "Nothing immediately ominous about it, at least." Umptiskrunk ponders. Zersha nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Dilemma leans forward and rests her chin in her hand, a thoughtful expression on her face. Umptiskrunk says to Casari, "Oh, Ump get what mean now." Gwenddolyn says, "It seems like the same boat ride." Gwenddolyn says, "Before the lighthouse is sighted." Ryeka shivers suddenly, seeming less secure. Ryeka nods. You say to Casari, "The light creatures seem different in nature from the crystal ones. The nimbi are the most prominent example I can think of." Casari nods to you. Gwenddolyn says, "So it is telling us it is beyond another archipelago." Imroth says, "Comparatively, that vision is quite nice." Ryeka ponders. Gwenddolyn asks, "Maybe a new island?" You say, "Something that lies to the east of Qi, would be the feeling I got." Zersha nods at Imroth, obviously agreeing with his views. Ophiliah says, "Maybe someone should go on a sailing exploring." Nawain nods to Ophiliah. You say, "The one nagging part is knowing I searched for something I would "never find"." Ryeka nods to Ophiliah. Nawain frowns at you. Imroth nods. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "That does sound sort of sad." Gwenddolyn asks, "Perhaps it means Aesry?" Umptiskrunk asks, "South of Qi is Taisidon and Meshor, right? What is North?" Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I don't think so, I think it sounds lovely. Just go out and see." Imroth exclaims, "The journey is the destination!" Dilemma grins at Ellywen. Umptiskrunk ponders. Nawain ponders. Gwenddolyn says, "It is northeast of Ratha." Anuril asks Gwenddolyn, "Are you suggesting the Aesry tourism division injected an advertisment into the web of fate?" Anuril raises an eyebrow. Zersha quietly says in a Velakan accent, "Sometimes the journey is more important than the ending..." Kethrai giggles. Ryeka chuckles. Anuril appears to be trying hard not to grin. Gwenddolyn says, "There is a lighthouse in ratha." Imroth chortles softly at some secret joke. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "But.. You'll never see that thing you yearn for." Gwenddolyn says, "That you have to take a boat to." You say, "There's also things it could represent metaphorically, as well. The search for knowledge, seeking answers. Really great questions may not have answers found in one's lifetime, though the search itself still has meaning." You take a sip of the brandy. Zersha nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Anuril ponders. Gwenddolyn says, "I mean aesry not ratha." Ophiliah ponders lighthouses and fog Kethrai says, "Or it could be NOT a metaphor, and it means we need to sail out past Qi'Reshalia." Anuril nods to Kethrai. Gwenddolyn says, "That seems risky, we could fall off the edge of the ocean." Zersha blinks at Gwenddolyn. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "The ocean doesn't have an edge." Kethrai says, "The biggest danger out there seems like it would be the Gorbesh navy." Ryeka asks, "Red Sash?" Imroth exclaims, "Or scuttlers on carapace boats!" Ophiliah says, "Or pirates." Gwenddolyn nods to Ryeka. Nawain matter-of-factly says in a Rakash accent, "Or scurvy." You say, "There's been more than a few visions in the past about people seeking things in the depths of the ocean. As to where... well, there could very well be all sorts of things off past the archipelago." Shaylynne says, "Ahneya save the day." Gwenddolyn chuckles at Shaylynne. Kethrai says to Nawain, "We've got fixes for that, at least." Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Orange juice every morning, without fail. That's the way." Nawain nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views. Kethrai nods at Nawain, obviously agreeing with her views. Trajan gets a lemon from inside his armor pack. Umptiskrunk says, "Life gives lemons. Eat them." Umptiskrunk nods. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Until you run out of oranges." Trajan nods to Umptiskrunk. Shaylynne grins at Trajan. Ryeka grins at Umptiskrunk, her dimples flashing into view. Sofina whistles a merry tune. Gwenddolyn asks, "I missed the last visions meeting. Where there any visions from that meeting that could be related to these visions?" Trajan says, "Sometimes, Shaylynne gives them to you." Trajan glances at Shaylynne. Zersha giggles at Trajan. Umptiskrunk chuckles at Trajan. Nawain says to Elizzibiana in a Rakash accent, "Oh, that would be bad. Don't run out of oranges." Nawain blanches. Shaylynne says, "I probably got it from Ahneya." Shaylynne nods to Trajan. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "She probably learned it from Ahneya." Zersha nods to Shaylynne. Ophiliah roots around the area for a moment. Ophiliah forages around the area for a while until she finds an orange. Shaylynne nods to Zersha. Ophiliah takes a bite of an orange. Kethrai says, "Most kinds of fresh vegetables can help with scurvy. Or the livers of marine creatures if you run out." Elizzibiana chuckles at Nawain. Nawain beams at Kethrai! Shaylynne says, "Secondhand lemons, sorry." Nawain exclaims in a Rakash accent, "See? Sea.. livers!" Nawain nods. Ophiliah offers Nawain an orange. Shaylynne pats Trajan on the back. Imroth ponders. Nawain accepts Ophiliah's orange. You say to Gwenddolyn, "There was a vision of a scuttler trying to direct attention to the sky." Nawain beams at Ophiliah! Nawain takes a bite of an orange. Zersha softly says to Hebion in a Velakan accent, "I would prefer not to eat sea livers." Nawain praises Ophiliah. Gwenddolyn says, "Interesting." Umptiskrunk exclaims, "Marine creatures? Well. Yes. Let Ump grab some of those dumplings with shrimps!" Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Better to eat an orange a day, might make them last longer and then you know everyone on the crew got at least one per day." Gwenddolyn asks, "A scuttler that looks up?" Trajan says to Shaylynne, "Of all the things you can get secondhand, lemons are the least concerning." Hebion says to Zersha, "You don't have to." Nawain takes a bite of an orange. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Goodness. This is a massive orange." Zersha beams at Hebion! Nawain takes a bite of an orange. Shaylynne nods at Trajan, obviously agreeing with his views. Zersha giggles. You say, "Also, another vision related to the sea, though on the shore. Though that spiraled shell turning red might have another meaning, as was discussed at the meeting. A spiral that is red. Or a Red Spiral, if you will." Nawain praises Ophiliah. Trajan rubs a lemon. You chuckle. Gwenddolyn nods. Ryeka rubs her nose. Imroth chuckles. Gwenddolyn nods to you. Anuril says, "The passage may not be unique, there may be more of them." Nawain asks in a Rakash accent, "Oh?" You nod to Anuril. You say, "That is a possibility as well, yes." Gwenddolyn says, "Let us hope that the scuttlers are not going to be a new race." Gwenddolyn shudders. Shaylynne ponders. Shaylynne asks, "If they already exist aren't they already a race?" Shaylynne scratches her head. Kethrai says to you, "Ever since... that one time... I prefer to look for literal interpretations before metaphorical ones." Zersha says to Shaylynne in a Velakan accent, "I'd think so." Anuril grins at Kethrai. Gwenddolyn says, "They are a cerature, not a race." Gwenddolyn says, "Creature." Gwenddolyn coughs. Shaylynne says, "I see." You nod to Kethrai. Ryeka pats Gwenddolyn on the back. Nawain waves the applewood wand through a simple series of gestures. A lavender-hued motherfruit apple appears in her right hand! You say to Kethrai, "Yes. Sometimes it's a metaphor. Sometimes it really is a metal giant that is going to stomp across a city." Kethrai nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views. Anuril smirks. Trajan says, "I have heard it said that everything evolves into crabs." Shaylynne grins at Trajan. Trajan says, "So, if anything, we're more likely to become the new scuttlers." Kethrai says to Trajan, "You take that back." Kethrai says, "I will never scuttle, I refuse." Anuril coughs. Anuril appears to be trying hard not to grin. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I skip on occasion." Imroth grins. Gwenddolyn chuckles at Kethrai. You chuckle. Nawain giggles at Kethrai. (Ryeka pretends to scuttle!) Shaylynne says, "Crab walking is good for the triceps." Trajan says, "You'll know Kethrai, because he'll be the scuttler with good posture." Zersha observes Shaylynne with fascination. Ryeka hums to herself. Nawain laughs! Gwenddolyn says, "Here is a question." Umptiskrunk ponders being a scuttling Tog. Anuril laughs! Imroth laughs at Trajan. Gwenddolyn asks, "Do scorpions scuttle?" Ryeka grins at Umptiskrunk, her dimples flashing into view. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Yes." Kethrai says, "I'll be the first of the sashayers." Shaylynne nods to Kethrai. Gwenddolyn says, "Maybe that was about noticing the scorpion in the sky." Ryeka grins at Kethrai, her dimples flashing into view. Shaylynne ponders. You say, "To clarify on that vision, it was recognizable as specifically a crauyarin scuttler." Ryeka nods to you. Kethrai says, "That's a relief in a couple ways. That we know what it is, and that it isn't avtalia." You say, "Let's see... Two more visions to discuss this evening. Perhaps we'll leave the unpleasant one for last." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Zersha grins at you, her dimples flashing into view. Gwenddolyn nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views. Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at you. Ryeka peers quizzically at you. Dilemma grins at Ellywen. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Reading something light before bed, got it." Ellywen smiles at Dilemma. Umptiskrunk snickers at Zersha. You say, "So we'll start with another featuring a craftsperson." Zersha grins at Umptiskrunk, her dimples flashing into view. You say, "A man crouched over a workbench, meticulously carving nested geometric lines into a ceramic plate. A complex pattern emerged, and using a pair of tongs, the man removed a crucible from a forge, and slowly poured a dull metallic liquid onto the plate. Replacing the crucible in the forge, the man waited a moment for the metal to cool, and used a file to grind down any excess material. The man spread a thin layer of ceramic atop the work, and repeated the process." Ryeka rubs her nose. Shaylynne says, "Yeah that is just nightmare fuel." Trajan asks, "The atack of the crystal lobster wasn't the unpleasant vision?" Shaylynne smirks at Trajan. You say, "After countless iterations, the man had produced a ceramic cube. The man lifted a large tuning fork, and with a sharp whack on the table, the workshop filled with a piercing resonant thrum. The ceramic cube shuddered and crumbled to dust, leaving behind a complex metallic wire-frame. The man observed his work for a moment." You say, "The vision faded." Nawain ponders. Ryeka ponders. Anuril says, "Clearly a high circle barbarian." Zersha nibbles her lip thoughtfully. Anuril dryly says, "They're always crafting." Nawain asks in a Rakash accent, "Breaking the mold, to see what's left?" Ophiliah says, "I have nightmares .. with crafting." Trajan ponders. Ophiliah shudders. Imroth scratches his head. You say to Nawain, "Yes, I do think the intent was for the ceramic to break away." Nawain nods to you. Kethrai nods in agreement. Imroth says, "He made a... metal bird nest." Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Seems like there are a lot of things you could do with a small metal frame." Nawain asks in a Rakash accent, "It was obviously a frame, though? Not a... I don't know, core ball of stuff?" Nawain ponders. Rwendin says, "That metal frame has the feel of a enchanting device, spellcraft of some kind." Kethrai says, "Complex geometric metallic forms make me think of some of what we see at Zengmodaleth." You say, "Could be something literal being created, could just be some particularly intricate task." Imroth asks, "A series of frames stacked together, yeah?" Gwenddolyn says, "Interesting." Gwenddolyn asks, "A metal cage?" Ryeka ponders. Gwenddolyn asks, "To confine something?" Imroth says, "Some sort of complex shape that couldn't be made with a single mold." Umptiskrunk nods at Imroth, obviously agreeing with his views. You say, "Lots of fine metal lines running throughout it." Umptiskrunk says, "Took layers." Kethrai says to Imroth, "It's hard to know what the full form is if we don't see each cross-section. If you make a bunch of circles that get larger and then smaller, in three dimensions you'd get a sphere. But each slice would look like a circle." Imroth says, "Od." You say, "The plates allow doing one thin line at a time, and by placing them atop the previous plate, at certain points the metal could fuse with the previous layer." Umptiskrunk says, "Like cake." Umptiskrunk nods. Kethrai nods to Umptiskrunk. Ryeka grins at Umptiskrunk, her dimples flashing into view. Kethrai says to Umptiskrunk, "A very intricate cake, yeah." Imroth says, "But if you wanted a metal sphere you could just make one mould of the whole thing." Umptiskrunk nods to Kethrai. Rwendin nods at Umptiskrunk, obviously agreeing with his views. Imroth says, "This has lots of fine wire-like bits." Gwenddolyn says, "Sounds like a spherical cage." Umptiskrunk says, "Ump think cage is made around things. Or made to have things inside. This sound like some other shape." Gwenddolyn cocks her head and blinks at some sturdy bookcases packed with reference material in complete puzzlement. Ryeka says, "You know- I have a friend who's a trader, and she described a few of her spells to me. One looks rather like a cage when it's fully formed." Imroth says, "Neat to shatter the ceramic with a tuning fork." Nawain nods to Imroth. Nawain ponders. Ryeka rubs her nose. You say to Imroth, "That is an interesting bit. I'm not sure if that's something that actually could work." You ponder. Kethrai says, "If it WERE a cage, then most of the cross-sections would be hollow. That seems like it would be easily noticed." Umptiskrunk nods to Kethrai. Ryeka nods to Kethrai. You say, "If the cage was holding something with a physical form, at least." You say, "Nothing about the purpose of the thing seemed to stand out to me as I observed it, though." Imroth nods. Ryeka nods to you. You say, "And then the final vision of the evening... Some more of apparently being mocked by the woman in the wide brimmed hat." You turn a page in your astronomer's journal. Nawain chuckles. Gwenddolyn says, "I suspect future visions may answer our questions about what it is." Ryeka blinks. Nawain quietly exclaims in a Rakash accent, "Yay!" You say, "A crowded market stretched around me, people jostling and moving, shouting offers and counter-offers. There were so many people, and the sun beat down overhead, merciless and bright. I pushed for a nearby awning, pressing against the walls of the building, but as soon as I stepped into the shade, someone jostled me and I tripped back into the sunlight. Sweat beaded on my brow and I heard a child shouting, and someone jostled me, forcing me forward." Kethrai says, "She really likes doing that." Nawain nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views. You say, "Behind me, someone chuckled and spun me around, and I saw her, the woman in the wide brimmed hat, staring at me with her cataract eyes, and she smiled her half-grin and someone jostled me, and I could not breathe, it was so hot, and the crowd flowed around her, and she began to laugh, and laugh, and the sun grew, blindingly bright, and she laughed louder and louder and I was deafened by a dull droning, and suddenly-." You say, "Everything froze. I looked around in confusion." You say, "The vision faded." Casari says, "She's usually more talkative." You nod to Casari. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Interesting." Ryeka nods in agreement. You say, "Yes, she usually has some commentary." Kethrai nods to Casari. Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Everything but the viewer froze." Trajan asks, "No one in that vision knows how to say, 'Excuse me'?" Umptiskrunk chuckles at Trajan. Umptiskrunk says, "Sounds like Ratha." Umptiskrunk smirks. Ryeka chuckles. Gwenddolyn says, "Lots of jostling going on." Gwenddolyn chuckles. Nawain giggles at Trajan. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Sounds more like crossings." You say, "Yes. I got the sensation of everything freezing, but the vision faded before I could process much more about the situation." Ryeka says, "Sounds like Crossing." Nawain nods to you. Ryeka winks. Shaylynne says, "Maybe the jostler had cataracts too." Shaylynne shrugs. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "The heat makes me think of Muspar'i..." Kethrai asks, "The sun growing and being blindingly bright... That makes me think of some other visions, yeah?" Ryeka ponders. Kethrai says, "The person going through the scorched wasteland..." Nawain ponders. Gwenddolyn asks, "A shop in the wasteland?" You say, "There are probably a few like that, but yes, that's one where... something went wrong with the sun." Ryeka ponders. Gwenddolyn says, "In Muspari." Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "I feel like the sun being blindingly bright might simply be something the sun often is? Maybe that's too literal." Imroth says, "Well we have a time freeze and a time reverse now." Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "And several markets." Ryeka ponders. Nawain cheerfully exclaims in a Rakash accent, "Temporal shopping!" Rwendin takes a sip of her wine. You say, "The overall sensation was not, from my understanding, too different from what someone having a panic attack in a crowd might feel on a very hot day, if they grew close to passing out from the experience. Well, except for the everything freezing part." Imroth gasps at Nawain! Gwenddolyn chuckles at Nawain. Zersha leans on Sofina. Zersha taps Sofina on the nose and exclaims, "Boop!" Imroth says, "I feel that way at markets too sometimes." Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "So avoid any traders market, gotcha." You say, "Perhaps one day I'll actually be able to ask that woman some questions... Though I'm sure any answers would be cryptic." Nawain nods to Elizzibiana. Gwenddolyn chuckles at you! Umptiskrunk nods to you. Imroth exclaims, "Or just mean!" Nawain says in a Rakash accent, "Cancel all festivals. Right. You go tell the merchants associations." Nawain shudders. Kethrai says to you, "She might just blow smoke in your face." Gwenddolyn says, "You do not want to meet her." Elizzibiana chuckles at Nawain. Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I kind of want to meet her." Umptiskrunk says to you, "She might not see Miskton. She got bad eyes." Umptiskrunk shrugs. Imroth chuckles at Umptiskrunk. You ask, "And with that, we've covered all the visions I had to discuss this evening. Does anyone have any additional points they would like to raise?" Rwendin says, "Eyes are not the only way to see though." Imroth says, "I get the feeling she sees a whole lot." Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Maybe she's someone trapped in the flow of time, she saw so much she went blind, but now she knows a lot." Sofina studies the faces around her. Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "I've been wanting to meet her for quite awhile now, sadly I dont forsee that happening and I'm not even a moon mage." Umptiskrunk observes Zersha with fascination. Gwenddolyn says, "Good eve to you, thanks Miskton, was interesting as usual." Umptiskrunk takes a bite of the dumplings. Gwenddolyn waves. Zasko nods. You exclaim, "Well then, thank you all for coming!" You carefully mark your place and close your astronomer's journal, securing the clasp. |
