You say, "Okay, I think we can probably get started. Thank you all for joining me here this evening."

Valynn asks Kethrai, "Prefer some wine?"

Tirost smiles at you.

Leayne smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Imroth gazes at you.

Kethrai says to Valynn, "If you don't mind..."

Imroth's ears flip forward for a moment.

Valynn offers Kethrai a goblet of Frostweyer white wine.

Ezerak waves to Casari.

Kethrai takes a sip of his wine.

Valynn smiles at Kethrai.

Casari snaps to attention and hails Ezerak with a crisp hand salute.

Kethrai delightedly says, "Ahh..."

Ezerak waves to Kethrai.

Ezerak waves to Anuril.

Leayne beams at Zalinyar!

Crobin hugs Zalinyar, who wraps her arms around Crobin with a warm smile.

Anuril nods to Ezerak.

Kethrai's ears relax for a moment in obvious enjoyment.

Leayne hugs Zalinyar, who wraps her arms around Leayne with a warm smile.

Zalinyar hugs Leayne, who wraps her arms around Zalinyar with a warm smile.

Zalinyar hugs Crobin, who wraps his arms around Zalinyar with a warm smile.

You say, "We've got a few visions to go over this evening... None of them rank highly on the most disturbing ones I've seen, but a few do seem ominous."

Zalinyar curtsies to you.

Zalinyar hugs Gwenddolyn, who wraps her arms around Zalinyar with a warm smile.

Anuril glances at a flagon of Sawstwar Sapphire stout.

Betlind nods to you.

Tirost takes a sip of his stout.

Gwenddolyn grins at Zalinyar, her dimples flashing into view.

You say, "Let's see... To start..."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Zalinyar smiles at Betlind, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Zalinyar waves to Valynn.

You say, "A man bent down, planting a row of saplings. Making slow progress, he worked through a satchel, carefully mounding dirt around their base. The summer sun beat down, and the man was curiously unprotected from the harsh noon sun, shoulders blistering, forehead sweating. The man continued, and the satchel grew lighter. After some time, the task was complete, the satchel empty, and all saplings planted in a more-or-less neat row. Wiping his brow, the man stopped a moment and looked back at the line of his effort, shoulders burnt, lips cracked."

Valynn grins at Zalinyar.

You say, "A dark cloud gathered above, rumbling deeply. A gentle rain started, and the man spread his arms wide, face to the sky. The line of saplings drank deeply, and the vision faded."

Elurora chews on her lip, looking deep in concentration.

Betlind blinks.

Elurora slowly says, "That seems hopeful."

Leayne ponders.

Leayne nods.

Imroth exclaims, "Well that's nice!"

Zalinyar smiles at Tirost, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Betlind nods in agreement.

Gwenddolyn asks, "Well it's still raining so will it ever stop ?"

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Valynn smiles.

Casari says, "Unless you compare it to the visions of Immortals as trees growing stronger. If someone's having to plant new Immortals, then that doesn't bode as well."

Kethrai says, "The Immortals have been shown as saplings before... But, seeing them be planted is unusual."

Anuril smirks at Casari.

Kethrai nods to Casari.

Leayne shrugs.

Betlind furrows her brow.

Imroth ponders.

Tirost says, "The man works hard, suffers, maybe, but it feels worth it when the rain comes, and the plants are nurtured."

Zalinyar asks, "Maybe planting regrowth in the dark hand or somewhere after it's healed?"

You say, "This could indicate all sorts of different projects someone is working on... but it does seem nuturing in nature, at least. And the rain would seem to be a good outcome to it."

Leayne nods.

Gwenddolyn nods at Zalinyar, obviously agreeing with her views.

You say, "Possibly soothing to the injuries the man suffered in the process, too."

Elurora nods to you.

Betlind nods.

Crobin says, "Maybe it just shows progress."

Zalinyar nods to Crobin.

Tirost nods to Crobin.

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning black cigarillo.

Imroth says, "Planted in a row, like rowing a boat! It means boats."

You say, "Something that requires effort, and maybe some sacrifice to accomplish. And maybe not done perfectly, but well enough, and achieved in time for something to happen."

Zalinyar says, "Could be growing lumber for boats for sure."

Tirost nods to you.

Leayne nods to Zalinyar.

Gwenddolyn says, "Perhaps the idea of new mortals is valid, maybe they choose new champions."

Gwenddolyn says, "Not new mortals."

Gwenddolyn says, "New immortals."

Casari says, "No. It's not."

Imroth says, "I doubt some guy planting seeds would be used to imply new Immortals."

Gwenddolyn says, "Lots of religions have their own mortals, maybe a new religion."

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "The idea of making new Immortals tends to get people in trouble."

Majelaket folds his arms across his chest.

Gwenddolyn says, "Own gods."

Zalinyar says, "Maybe tree mortals too, they got a name... ummm. dryads? Myads? somethin like that."

Crobin waves to Majelaket.

Elurora gazes off into the distance.

Imroth says, "The vision has a humdrum feel."

Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum.

Leayne smiles at Majelaket, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

You say to Gwenddolyn, "The last time I'm aware of that happening was with the Akul'tiz, which makes me a bit leery."

Elurora whispers something to Betlind.

Gwenddolyn says, "I hope they all dont turn into vine creatures."

Ophiliah nods to Zehira.

Betlind begins chortling at Elurora.

Zehira nods to Ophiliah.

Zalinyar nods to Gwenddolyn.

Davrion nods to Zehira.

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning black cigarillo.

Zehira nods to Davrion.

You say, "The summer heat giving way to a gentle rain also seems like a promising sign, in general."

Elurora nods to you.

Tirost glances at Valynn.

Imroth nods to you.

Kethrai says to you, "Says you."

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "I might be one of the few who is enjoying all the rain."

Betlind grins at Aemaranth, her dimples flashing into view.

Gwenddolyn says, "If it seems like a good vision, be skeptical."

Leayne nods to Aemaranth.

You say to Kethrai, "Some of us do dry off more easily than others, it's true."

Crobin smiles at Kethrai.

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "I am waiting for the snow."

Casari says, "Bards, he means."

Leayne grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.

You say, "So, a little hard to pin to a specific action, but it does seem promising, at least."

You say, "For the next vision..."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Kethrai takes a sip of his wine.

You say, "A jeweler bent over a small strip of metal, carefully removing material with a jigsaw. After a while, a vague key shape emerged, and the jeweler changed to a rough file. With meticulous movements and the most minute of adjustments alternating with intense scrutiny, a long, thin key emerged from the strip of metal, displaying a dozen precise teeth, a complex groove, and several embedded slots. The jeweler ran a wire brush along the piece, smoothing away burrs and uneven edges. Finally, an oily cloth was rubbed over the key, until it shone."

Elurora flashes a quick grin at Aemaranth.

You say, "The jeweler held the key aloft and pressed it forward. It disappeared into nothingness, and with a turn, a loud click echoed through the workshop. Spiderwebs of luminescence radiated outward from the point of entry, and the jeweler stood up and gently pressed a door open that was not there before. The vision faded."

Tirost raises an eyebrow.

Zalinyar blinks at Gwenddolyn.

Betlind blinks.

Kethrai ponders.

Gwenddolyn says, "Someone like Borruger again."

Zalinyar nods to Gwenddolyn.

Gwenddolyn says, "He did that with keys."

Betlind cocks her head.

Leayne nods.

Elurora says, "Huh. Useful key. Depending on how much control you have over the key."

You say, "There have been a number of visions featuring craftspeople of various sorts, so I would not be surprised if it's linked in there somehow... but we're still not sure of the overall meaning there."

Betlind nods to Elurora.

Tirost nods to you.

Crobin ponders.

Gwenddolyn says, "Perhaps jewlrey making will finally be possoble for us."

Aemaranth says to Elurora in a melodic accent, "Most keys fall into the hands of those who would cause trouble."

Crobin says, "I do like keys."

Betlind smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Tirost grins at Crobin.

Leayne giggles at Crobin.

Imroth asks, "Did the others involve dimensional doors?"

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning black cigarillo.

Crobin says, "Could it have anything to do with the Null Prison."

Zehira casually flicks some ashes off the end of her black cigarillo.

Zalinyar says, "Well, there's a missing key for a missing pendant that could...."

Crobin angles his ears forward in curiosity.

Imroth points at Crobin.

Zalinyar frowns.

Kethrai says to Crobin, "That was my thinking."

Gwenddolyn nods to Crobin.

Imroth says to Crobin, "THat was my thought."

Zalinyar gazes at Gwenddolyn.

You say, "There are plenty of things that might be considered locked away. I know one recent one people have been looking to access is the Null Prison. But that's far from the only thing that's difficult to open a way to."

Imroth says, "But I might just have Null Prison on the mind."

Tirost thoughtfully says, "The jeweler made the key that got into the hidden door..."

Gwenddolyn says, "It could also mean the man behind the null prison."

Crobin asks, "Maybe could be a key unlocking the dam holding back the flow of magic at times?"

Kethrai says, "A jeweler makes me think of Hav'roth, although craftsmanship would be Kertigen."

Aemaranth whispers something to Elurora.

Aemaranth grins at Elurora, her dimples flashing into view.

Elurora begins chortling at Aemaranth.

You say, "Sadly, I did not spy anything through the door as it opened."

Gwenddolyn says, "Borrugar Steadfoot the merchant magician made keys."

Crobin says, "Always mysteries."

Tirost nods to Crobin.

Kethrai asks you, "You happen to make a detailed diagram of the shape of the key?"

Zalinyar nods to Crobin.

Betlind says, "Well, s'lot of work to make something that a moongate could accomplish, so must be somewhere quite, erm... interesting."

Gwenddolyn says, "That opened several doors to places."

Betlind rubs her nose.

Crobin nods to Betlind.

Gwenddolyn nods at Zalinyar, obviously agreeing with her views.

Valynn leans against some sturdy bookcases packed with reference material.

You say to Gwenddolyn, "As I recall, his work on a 'key' did not end well."

Gwenddolyn says, "His key is still missing."

Gwenddolyn nods to Zalinyar.

Leayne smiles at Davrion, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

You say, "He did accomplish something, though the result was it taking a while for people to find all the pieces of his body."

Anuril smirks.

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Betlind whispers something to Elurora.

Kethrai says, "Who here hasn't had a day like that, though."

Betlind grins at Kethrai, her dimples flashing into view.

You say, "Hopefully this one has a less... messy end."

Imroth ponders.

Elurora whispers something to Betlind.

Crobin says, "The other day I made myself into soup."

Zehira pulls her linen hat down around her ears.

Leayne giggles.

Zalinyar gawks at Crobin.

Imroth glances at Crobin.

Kethrai wrinkles his nose.

Tirost pats Crobin on the back.

Leayne softly says, "He did."

Elurora blinks at Crobin.

Elurora just nudged Betlind.

Elurora looks at Betlind, obviously trying not to grin.

Zalinyar asks Crobin, "Was it good soup?"

Ophiliah says, "What kind of soup."

Betlind rubs her nose.

Gwenddolyn says, "He was the creater of the chalice."

Valynn raises an eyebrow in Crobin's direction.

Betlind hums to herself.

Crobin says, "Crobin soup."

Gwenddolyn says, "Keep that in mind."

Tirost takes a sip of his stout.

You exclaim, "On to the next vision!"

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Betlind nods emphatically.

Leayne nods to Zalinyar.

You say, "Before me lay a short plinth topped with a gentle bowl. I looked into the bowl and saw six dice, each with a different number of faces. I inspected each, and discovered no numbers or pips, but rather various symbols a crown, a heart, a leaf, a skull, a rain cloud with a lightning bolt, a cup, an open book, a knife, a fire, a crescent moon, and several others. I was unfamiliar with the meaning of the dice or their symbols."

Zalinyar nods to you.

You say, "Compulsively, I picked up the six dice and threw them into the bowl. Each landed knife side up, and after a moment, melted into the bottom of the bowl. The vision faded."

Betlind blinks.

You say, "My initial feeling was that this reminded me a little bit of finding the Heralds' bell artifact. Not a direct link from the vision, just a bit of a gut feeling."

Leayne nods to Crobin.

Imroth scratches his head.

Gwenddolyn says, "That seems like the same purpse bones are, for prediction."

Elurora grins at Aemaranth.

Leayne looks thoughtfully at Crobin.

Betlind asks, "A hint we'll be finding another artifact? But it's even more dangerous?"

Crobin says, "Makes me think of battle coming."

Betlind nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Tirost ponders.

Betlind nods to Crobin.

Gwenddolyn says, "If we are looking for an artifact that a key is needed to open a doorway to get to, that could be a clue."

Betlind says to Crobin, "I like that. Maybe a message that our messin' with the artifact is only gonna spur the Heralds to fightin' us down here again."

Gwenddolyn nods to Betlind.

Zalinyar says, "Or it could mean we need to watch our backs, so we don't get stabbed in them."

Imroth says, "Knife makes me think more of assassination than battle."

Kethrai ponders.

Betlind says, "Or, well, sendin' the drakes that is."

Betlind nods.

Elurora nods to Betlind.

Imroth says, "Or cutting steaks."

Crobin says, "Daggers make me think of fighting, and then the melting could be into mana maybe."

Elurora says, "Yeah, we haven't really fought the Heralds so much as their minions."

Kethrai says, "Dice with different numbers of faces, six of them..."

You say, "Rolling all knives does seem a bit ominous, but I didn't really recognize any of the symbols in terms related to dice."

Gwenddolyn nods to Kethrai.

Betlind says, "We messed with their artifact and in doing so threw the dice. Now they're gonna come at us."

Betlind shrugs.

Aemaranth says to Imroth in a melodic accent, "It is a winning way to accomplish ones goals. Sure an honorable fight makes for good stories but a dead enemy is still dead."

Leayne frowns.

Betlind nods to Elurora.

Kethrai says, "I'm kind of reminded of the elemental planes? As viewed from the Planar Observatory."

Crobin says to Betlind, "Bout damn time."

Gwenddolyn says, "Maybe it means there are six artifacts."

Betlind grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.

Gwenddolyn says, "Each one is a clue as to what it is."

Crobin nods to Kethrai.

Imroth says, "Six melty knives."

Betlind says to Crobin, "I haven't even been back that long but... aye, I agree completely."

Betlind coughs.

Crobin nods to Betlind.

Anuril takes a sip of his stout.

Leayne takes a sip of her wine.

Zalinyar asks, "With the number of pictures, they'd have to be at lease a 10 faceted die, but there were many more images noted. So how many sides, may 13?"

Leayne grins at Zalinyar, her dimples flashing into view.

Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum.

Gwenddolyn says, "Oh 13 would make sense."

Kethrai says, "I'm not sure you could make a 13-sided die."

Imroth says, "A 13 sided object would not be symmetrical."

Zalinyar says, "Can the images make sense of the immortals."

Imroth nods to Kethrai.

Leayne softly says, "Sounds odd."

Crobin asks Imroth, "Does it have to be?"

Imroth shrugs.

Elurora leans on Betlind.

Imroth says, "Most dice are."

Betlind leans on Elurora.

Elurora leans over and scratches Betlind's back.

You say, "It only matters if you want them to roll evenly, I suppose."

Gwenddolyn says, "It was not meant to make sense, it was sent as a clue."

Betlind giggles at Elurora.

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Most dice hate me."

Valynn grins at you.

Aemaranth grins, revealing her dimples.

Ophiliah leans on Davrion.

Betlind nods at Aemaranth, obviously agreeing with her views.

Crobin smiles at Aemaranth.

Imroth nods.

Kethrai says, "I would guess it's just the different standard dice shapes... Four, six, eight, ten, twelve, twenty."

Elurora pats Aemaranth on the back.

Anuril gets a set of five prismatic crystal dice with golden pips from inside a fuzzy dice pouch with black cording.

Zehira folds her arms across her chest.

You say, "The dice also seemed to not all have the same number of faces."

Gwenddolyn says, "It is math related so trader stuff."

Gwenddolyn grumbles.

Imroth says, "The bowl is a boat and the plinth is the water. The dice are people on the boat, and they each have a knife."

Zalinyar asks, "Kife, rose, lighting, fire, crown, heart, skull cup, book... do they make an alignment to the immortals?"

Kethrai nods to you.

Kethrai says, "Six of them, you said."

You nod to Kethrai.

Zalinyar says to Kethrai, "Six dice, many pictures."

Kethrai says, "My point about the elemental planes earlier... Those are the same shapes as those planes, as seen from the Observatory."

Kethrai says, "Although that might be a coincidence."

Anuril nods to Kethrai.

Betlind ponders.

Tirost gazes thoughtfully at Kethrai.

Tirost asks Kethrai, "Does the knife symbol have any significance you know of there?"

Kethrai shakes his head at Tirost.

Crobin says, "When you were saying what was on the die I thought of guilds and such."

Crobin says, "But not sure."

Leayne nods to Crobin.

Kethrai says, "Although, some of the symbols do make sense as reference to... well, us. Adventurers."

Betlind nods at Crobin, obviously agreeing with his views.

Kethrai nods to Crobin.

You say to Crobin, "Some of the symbols seemed to work there, but others were a bit harder to place thinking of it that way."

Betlind says to Crobin, "I had that thought also."

Gwenddolyn says, "That is a good interpretation."

Crobin nods.

Elurora chews on her lip, looking deep in concentration.

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Reminds me of looking into the void. Just when you think you might understand something else is learned, all understanding becomes lost."

Gwenddolyn nods in agreement.

Betlind nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Elurora nods at Aemaranth, obviously agreeing with her views.

Crobin says, "And we know new guilds are opening up."

Betlind grins at Aemaranth, her dimples flashing into view.

Crobin says, "Aren't even."

Kethrai glances at Crobin.

Tirost nods to Kethrai.

Leayne softly asks, "What?"

Anuril gazes at Crobin.

You grin at Crobin.

Imroth asks, "What guild is the cup?"

Kethrai asks Crobin, "We know what...?"

Crobin says, "Trader."

Kethrai says, "Ah."

Betlind asks, "Then crown?"

Imroth says, "Or Cleric? They do stuff with cups."

Betlind cocks her head.

Crobin says, "Crown I think paladin."

Crobin says, "Leader sorts."

Betlind ponders.

Ophiliah rubs Davrion gently, massaging his muscles.

Zalinyar giggles at Crobin.

Elurora slowly says, "No thanks, sounds like too much pressure."

Elurora gazes off into the distance.

Valynn quietly says to herself, "What are the chances six dice all turn up the same symbol? Omnious, if you ask me."

Betlind giggles at Elurora.

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Elurora.

Imroth asks, "The open book?"

Leayne nods to Valynn.

Crobin says, "Bard."

Kethrai looks thoughtfully at Valynn.

Imroth ponders.

Zalinyar says, "Scholars."

Elurora leans on Aemaranth.

You say to Valynn, "Not great, although hard to calculate since I didn't get a good feel for how many sides each one had."

Crobin says, "Or a mages spell book."

Zehira stretches her arms.

Imroth shrugs.

Valynn nods to you.

Betlind asks, "Ok, so, let's assume it is the guilds of the lands then. It's suggesting this guild is the key to the next artifact?"

Anuril gets a lelori pipe adorned with tiny heggarangi frogs from inside his silk backpack.

Betlind asks, "The knives?"

Anuril puts his tobacco in his lelori pipe.

Zalinyar says, "Thieves."

Anuril touches some Dark Pass Desire tobacco with a glowing finger, and it quickly catches fire.

Leayne giggles at Zalinyar.

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Books contain knowledge. Bards pass down knowledge in the form of songs and stories."

Anuril puffs away on his lelori pipe.

Zalinyar looks at Leayne and shrugs.

Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum.

Davrion quietly asks, "Or an artifact tied to each guild?"

Betlind ponders.

Elurora rubs her head.

Kethrai says, "We might not be able to fully interpret the symbols without seeing all of them and the dice they're associated with."

Kethrai says, "Which... we might soon see, if it's another artifact."

Betlind says, "That'd be an odd way for the Heralds to organize their artifacts, but... I don't pretend to know how they think."

Crobin says to Betlind, "Slowly."

Leayne rubs her hands together.

Crobin says, "They think slowly I feel."

Betlind giggles at Crobin.

Elurora quietly says, "Me too."

Zehira rubs gingerly at her temples.

Betlind snickers at Elurora.

Aemaranth says to Betlind in a melodic accent, "And with malice. They don't like being ignored."

Betlind nods emphatically at Aemaranth.

Valynn dusts herself off.

Zehira wipes her fingers over the saffron wool of her longcoat, flicking some stray lint and dust off.

Elurora slowly asks, "Is it with malice or are they protecting themselves?"

Elurora shifts her weight.

Betlind asks Crobin, "So what're the chances there may be some Herald artifact sitting about in some, erm, dark corners somewhere? That had 'gone missing'?"

Valynn smirks.

Zalinyar says, "Artifacts like to go missing."

Gwenddolyn says, "Very good chance."

Imroth nods.

Casari says to Elurora, "It seemed ambiguous for a while, but then it became pretty clear malice in my opinion."

Crobin nods to Betlind.

Crobin says, "I think that is a very good chance."

Aemaranth says to Elurora in a melodic accent, "A good point! A being defending themselves tends to be rather dangerous."

Leayne raises a hand, rubbing her neck absently.

Betlind gives a slight nod.

Imroth asks, "Pretty good chance. Though, did I miss a connection from this vision to Herald artifacts?"

Tirost says, "I'm sure the Heralds think they're protecting themselves. There's just collateral damage that many of us wish we could stop."

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Malice and a spirited defense of one's self isn't that different."

Elizzibiana raises a hand, rubbing her neck absently.

You say to Imroth, "Just a feeling going off of the strange bowl and dice sitting on a plinth, after the appearance of the bell."

Kethrai says to Imroth, "The presentation on the plinth in a shallow bowl is similar to where the bell was found."

Betlind says to Imroth, "We were saying if the dice represented guilds and they all came up knives then it was suggesting that the thieves have some roll in the next artifact. It's a leap, but..."

Imroth nods to you.

Leayne nods to Kethrai.

Imroth asks, "Did the bell melt?"

Gwenddolyn says, "Getting rid of all of the artifacts will level the fighting field against the heralds."

Betlind asks, "See what I did there, by the way? Have some 'roll'?"

Betlind clears her throat.

Betlind dusts herself off.

Crobin asks, "Didn't one old vision have adventurers in a bowl trying to get to people that were at looms and such?"

Aemaranth says to Betlind in a melodic accent, "They could aquire it."

Kethrai blinks at Betlind, shaking his head in exasperation before resting his face in the palm of his hand. Ouch.

Aemaranth grins at Betlind, her dimples flashing into view.

Betlind quietly says, "I can excuse myself if need be."

Betlind gives a slight nod.

Imroth says to Betlind, "Nice one."

Tirost laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement.

You say to Imroth, "The bell was broken rather than used."

Imroth nods to you.

Imroth says, "Alright."

You say, "Some of us nearly had the insides of our heads melt from it, though..."

Elurora slowly says, "I would think it best all artifacts we find linked to the heralds are broken rather than used."

Imroth says, "I wasn't there. Just making sure I didn't miss something important."

Betlind nods at Elurora, obviously agreeing with her views.

Casari nods to Elurora.

You say, "Two more visions to discuss tonight. I think I'll go with the stranger of the two first..."

Gwenddolyn says, "Figuring out what they are and where they are is the key."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Imroth exclaims, "Strange!"

Leayne sighs.

Valynn gazes at you.

Leayne softly says, "My poor head."

Betlind giggles at Leayne.

You say, "I stood in a dark, thick mist, atop soft, manicured sand. Voices echoed in the distance, though they did not sound hostile, only curious. A loud, clanging grind of metal gears pierced the area, slowing after a moment. I heard the soft strain of metal groaning for a moment."

Betlind nods at Leayne, obviously agreeing with her views.

You say, "Suddenly, a loud release popped, and the soft woosh of something large moving, gaining speed, came towards me. A massive metal sphere affixed to a thick cable swung into view and sped past me, leaving a smooth line in the sand nearby."

Elurora ponders.

You say, "A long moment later, the pendulum returned, carving another line rotated several degrees counterclockwise. Again. Again. Again."

Betlind blinks.

You say, "The voices grew louder, and something changed."

You say, "The pendulum returned, following the previously carved line. The vision faded."

Elurora says, "Oh, like one of those meditation sand things."

Kethrai frowns.

Betlind blinks at Elurora.

Gwenddolyn says, "So that may be one of the artifacts."

Crobin says to you, "Well good job...I have no idea there."

Gwenddolyn says, "Having to do with time."

Leayne nods to Crobin.

Imroth asks, "A pendulum?"

Imroth scratches his head.

Elurora quietly says to Betlind, "They're usually smaller than you though, like the size to fit on a table not bigger than a house."

Tirost asks, "A rotating pendulum, eh?"

Imroth says, "Really big pendulum."

Betlind gives Elurora a slight nod.

You say, "A pendulum, and possibly some people arguing over how it's supposed to be working."

Betlind ponders.

Gwenddolyn asks, "Where could you hide that?"

Zalinyar says, "Island, maybe Ratha."

Tirost asks, "What are pendulums used for? Always for measuring time?"

Ophiliah says, "Why not ask the timekeepers."

Betlind says, "And if indeed representing time, then I feel the counter-clockwise rotation is important."

Crobin says, "Or killing."

Gwenddolyn says, "Going back in time."

Imroth says, "I don't know why would would need a giant pendulum."

Betlind asks, "Could it represent the Close being open?"

Elurora quietly says, "If I was going to hide something big, I'd put it in the desert."

Kethrai ponders.

Kethrai says to Betlind, "That could make sense."

Imroth chuckles at Elurora.

Leayne smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Zalinyar says, "Pendulums can be used for many things. And perhaps, its not a giant one, but one that is intended to make us feel small and insignificant."

Gwenddolyn says, "Dunes of despair."

Ophiliah says, "Again. why not ask the timekeepers."

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "The sands always shift, so it would almost hide itself."

You say, "Something about the direction of motion moving counterclockwise seems to have been unexpected or unwanted, since the voices grew louder and it moved back to the original path."

Elurora nods to Aemaranth.

Imroth nods to you.

Betlind rubs her head.

Crobin says, "Last pendulum I saw was used for something very different."

Majelaket nods approvingly at Ophiliah.

Betlind blinks at Crobin.

Tirost nods to Valynn.

Leayne peers quizzically at Crobin.

Gwenddolyn says, "That would make sense as to why nobody ever returns from the dunes of despair."

Tirost asks Crobin, "What was it used for?"

Crobin says, "Torture."

Betlind quietly says, "Then it'd be the Dunes of Disappear..."

Tirost frowns.

Elurora giggles at Betlind.

Kethrai holds his hand out towards Betlind for a highfive.

Betlind and Kethrai highfive each other and follow it up with simultaneous finger snaps. Sassy!

Leayne shudders.

Zehira wrinkles her nose.

Imroth laughs at Betlind.

Gwenddolyn asks, "Who is going there to look for it?"

Zalinyar points at herself.

Zalinyar points at Gwenddolyn.

Zalinyar bounces around happily.

Zalinyar grins at Gwenddolyn, her dimples flashing into view.

Leayne smiles at Zalinyar, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum.

Elurora says, "I think I'll wait for tree fellow to show up and give us another clue before I wander across the world to get lost in a desert."

Zalinyar says to Gwenddolyn, "Me and you mom lady person."

Raising her darkefire rum to Gwenddolyn, Zalinyar gives her a toast.

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Elurora.

Betlind giggles at Elurora.

Betlind nods at Elurora, obviously agreeing with her views.

You chuckle.

Crobin says, "Getting lost is half the fun."

Betlind says, "Not while in full plate it isn't."

Betlind shakes her head at Crobin.

Elurora nods at Aemaranth, obviously agreeing with her views.

Illiya grins at Betlind, her dimples flashing into view.

Elurora nods to Betlind.

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Betlind.

Crobin says, "I will hold your plate for you."

Crobin nods.

Elurora says to Betlind, "Just imagine all the sand in there."

Kethrai shudders.

Betlind says to Crobin, "Then that means you're carrying me the whole way."

Crobin says to Elurora, "We could open her up and find a pearl."

Valynn shifts her weight.

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Davrion quietly says, "Sand....one of those nasty 4 letter words."

Imroth laughs at Crobin.

Elurora glances at Betlind.

Betlind nods emphatically at Elurora.

Ophiliah rubs Davrion gently, massaging his muscles.

Zalinyar nods to Davrion.

Crobin chuckles.

Majelaket shakes his head.

Elurora says to Crobin, "Miss Betlind is already a pearl."

Betlind shudders.

Elurora grins at Crobin.

Zalinyar slyly says to Davrion, "Dirty word."

Illiya flashes a quick grin at Elurora.

Tirost chuckles.

Betlind looks at Elurora and blushes.

Zehira says to Davrion in a posh accent, "I am from the desert, it's not so bad."

Crobin chuckles at Elurora.

Leayne nods to Elurora.

Davrion nods at Zalinyar, obviously agreeing with her views.

Betlind sticks her tongue out at Elurora.

Ophiliah says, "Get everywhere."

Crobin says, "Well played."

Elurora flashes a wide grin at Crobin.

Elurora wraps her arm around Betlind's shoulder in a friendly hug.

Betlind giggles a little oddly.

Zehira says to Davrion in a posh accent, "They just..don't know."

Davrion quietly says to Zehira, "It is when you are a walking tin can."

Betlind leans on Elurora.

Imroth squints.

Elurora says to Davrion, "I'm a walking damite can, thank you."

Zehira waves dismissively.

Elurora winks at Davrion.

Davrion grins at Elurora.

Crobin taps a curving bloodwood branch that he is holding.

You say, "And then the last vision for tonight... I think I have an idea of what it means in general, although the specifics remain to be seen."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Ophiliah chuckles at Zehira.

Zehira says to Davrion in a posh accent, "I can see that, walking tin cans are..special."

You say, "I was sitting at a bar, warm candlelight illuminating the space, a steaming mug that smelled of cocoa, cinnamon, and maybe a little too much alcohol warming my hands. I took a sip, finding it still too hot but bitingly delicious. The wind howled, rattling the rafters, and frost crept along the windows. Someone threw another log on the hearth, and the roaring fire beat back the cold."

Ophiliah says, "Bet you float above the sand."

Zehira winks at Ophiliah.

Elurora giggles at Betlind.

Elurora nods at Betlind, obviously agreeing with her views.

You say, "A woman sat next to me, her wide-brimmed hat pulled low. She produced a cigarillo from her robes and bent to a small flame to light it, inhaling deeply, exhaling a plume of swirling clove- and cherry-scented smoke around me."

Betlind folds her arms across her chest.

Betlind nods emphatically.

Elurora says, "Oh, hat lady."

You say, ""Enjoy it while you can. They've really outdone themselves this time." she said, turning to me. Her cataract-clouded eyes reflected the light of the fire, and she smiled kindly. The vision faded."

Illiya exclaims, "Cigarillo lady!"

Tirost nods to Illiya.

Betlind says, "Such mystery."

Betlind giggles.

You say, "Largely a pleasant vision. Except that when she appears, it seems to usually be to watch and comment on disasters."

Imroth exclaims, "Heyo! Cigarillo lady cameo!"

Leayne grins at Illiya, her dimples flashing into view.

Elurora grins at Aemaranth.

Aemaranth grins at Elurora, her dimples flashing into view.

Betlind nods emphatically at Imroth.

Betlind ponders.

Casari says, "Maybe that refers to the impending reveal of what Liraxes is really up to."

Tirost asks you, "She mentioned Liraxes by name in the past too, hasn't she?"

You say, "My guess would be that she has an idea of what the Heralds might be planning."

Betlind nods to you.

Elurora slowly says, "Can fate manifest? She seems a bit like some form of fate trying to nudge us."

You say, "She has commented on Liraxes as well, yes."

Betlind ponders.

Valynn quietly says, "Harbinger of doom, that one."

Perune just arrived.

Crobin says, "Does she know how to get a crystal off that machine, I want a piece."

Tirost says to Valynn, "Wish I knew who she is or what she represents..."

Zalinyar nods to Valynn.

Illiya asks, "At least it sounds like 'they' are going to do something soon, whoever they are?"

Valynn nods to Tirost.

Betlind asks Elurora, "Towards something we normally wouldn't be doin'? Or...?"

Zalinyar takes a sip of her rum.

Kethrai says to Elurora, "She does seem to... see forks in the flow of time? Maybe trying to guide us down one."

You say, "'Soon' can be pretty relative when dealing with the Web of Fate."

Tirost says to Perune, "Puncutal as ever."

Elurora asks Betlind, "She seems...to be trying to help? Maybe?"

Betlind nods to Elurora.

Imroth says, "I think of her as the cosmic auntie who knows everyone's business."

Elurora nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Perune chortles softly at some secret joke.

Illiya nods to you.

Betlind begins chortling at Imroth.

Tirost smiles at Perune.

Crobin says, "So she comes in and like."

You say, "She at least doesn't seem hostile, exactly. We might provide her with entertainment."

Betlind nods to you.

Elizzibiana asks, "Hrrm, big time this time? Does that mean encasing Crossings, Haven, Theren & Shard in one shot?"

Crobin asks, "OMG did you see what Elurora was wearing to the dance last week?"

Elurora glances at Crobin.

Gwenddolyn says, "I still think Liraxes could have been manifested by the plane of probability."

Imroth nods to Crobin.

Betlind begins chortling at Crobin.

Kethrai says, "Interesting that it was winter in the vision."

Aemaranth grins at Elurora, her dimples flashing into view.

Kethrai says, "Might give us a clue as to when it could manifest."

You nod to Kethrai.

Valynn gives Kethrai a wry grin.

Elurora rubs her nose.

Leayne closes her eyes for a moment and grows still.

Tirost gazes at Kethrai.

Betlind nods emphatically at Kethrai.

Imroth nods to Kethrai.

Betlind exclaims to Kethrai, "Good catch!"

Elizzibiana says, "Well, guess Asketi wint be riding again this year."

Elizzibiana chortles softly at some secret joke.

Leayne smiles at Elizzibiana, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Betlind says to Elizzibiana, "I'm sure she'll make up for it. And might be even in better fighting form with her minions than usual after all this is said and done."

Betlind grins, revealing her dimples.

You ask, "And that covers the visions I had to discuss this evening. Any questions, or other things people would like to bring up?"

Elurora asks you, "Wasn't there some sort of vision about cutting down trees too?"

Leayne giggles at Elurora.

You say to Elurora, "There was one along those lines, yes."

Elurora ponders.

Elurora nods to you.

Betlind ponders.

Elizzibiana says to Betlind, "I really am not looking forward to when she rides again, all that pent up anger? She'll really go to town on the cities when she does."

Crobin says, "So a vision of cutting down trees and a new one of planting trees."

Elurora says, "Could it just be showing us the cycle of life and death? Things are cut down, things are replanted. There's work in both."

Betlind nods emphatically at Elizzibiana.

Zehira takes a sip of her tea.

Tirost says to you, "Slightly less catastrophic and gory this time. Thanks for sharing them, as always."

Leayne nods to Crobin.

Betlind nods to Elurora.

Zalinyar says to Crobin, "Building boats."

Zalinyar nods to Imroth.

Crobin smiles at Zalinyar.

Elizzibiana chuckles at Zalinyar.

Imroth glances at Zalinyar.

Zehira takes a sip of her tea.

Imroth says, "We should build a boat."

Gwenddolyn says, "We are going to need a really big boat then."

Aemaranth says in a melodic accent, "Asketi has her reasons to be angry."

Leayne softly says, "Four is too much for my brain at one time."

Leayne frowns.

Zehira takes a sip of her tea.

Ophiliah says, "I think your gonna need a bigger boat."

Ophiliah casually observes the area.

Zehira says to Aemaranth in a posh accent, "Don't we all."

Zehira takes a sip of her tea.

Elizzibiana snorts at Aemaranth.

Elurora quietly asks Betlind, "Why do we need a boat?"

Elurora furrows her brow.

Imroth exclaims, "Don't question fate!"

Zalinyar says to Leayne, "Can I fit a boat in my basement? there's no door anymore."

Elurora chuckles at Imroth.

Betlind says to Elurora, "Sail the Dunes of Despair."

Leayne softly says, "Maybe."

Elurora squints at Betlind.

Imroth takes a tiny ball out of the side of his dragonwood galleon, places it on the galleon's mangonel, aims it at Elurora, and fires, but misses! You don't see where the ball went.

Betlind nods to Elurora.

Elurora laughs at Imroth.

Ophiliah says, "A life raft maybe."

Ophiliah glances at Zalinyar.

Aemaranth says to Elizzibiana in a melodic accent, "But I do wonder if everyone would appreciate her more if she decided to smite a Herald."

Elurora says to Imroth, "We just need a way to make it bigger."

Imroth nods to Elurora.

Kethrai leans back against Anuril with a loving smile.

Imroth shakes his dragonwood galleon violently and cackles maniacally!

You say, "Okay! Well then, thank you all for coming, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening."

You carefully mark your place and close your astronomer's journal, securing the clasp.
