You say, "Okay! Thank you all for joining us this evening. If everybody can get settled in, I think we can get started."

You say, "We've got a few new visions to discuss this evening. Not all of them pleasant, but for the most part at least the actual experiences were not that bad. Though there are some unsettling implications to be seen."

Elurora cocks her head at you.

You ponder.

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

You say, "Let's see..."

Gwenddolyn ponders.

You say, "On that note, perhaps I should start with the one that might be the most directly disturbing."

Whynd squints.

You say, "I found myself standing before the crumbling ruins of an entire city block, the torn cobblestones of the road jutting as haphazardly as the piles of shattered bricks, windows, and bent iron. Scrub grass had grown through and around the wreckage, young trees reaching for the light between masonry. As I studied the wreckage, I saw a fading sign that read "-erna Way"."

You say, "Nearby movement caught my eye and a woman in a wide-brimmed hat lit a cigarillo and inhaled deeply. She exhaled a cloud of smoke and said, "Well, it was worth a shot."

You say, "The vision faded."

Ezerak frowns.

Ayrell ponders.

Gwenddolyn says, "Hodierna way."

You nod to Gwenddolyn.

Gwenddolyn frowns.

You say, "Hard to say much from the state of the ruins, but that's certainly what the sign says to me."

Ezerak nods at Gwenddolyn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Whynd weirdly asks, "Aye, as there isnt a Kaerna way is there? not too familiar with city streets, but thats the only other spelling that would fit?"

You say, "The woman who appears, or one who looks much like her, has also appeared in a few previous visions."

Tylanni says, "Thats what I was about to ask, if you had seen her before in visions."

Tylanni nods to you.

You say, "One in which she watched a massive forest fire beneath a sky churning with clouds and lightning..."

Tylanni says, "Sounds like Warrior Mage stuff to me."

You say, "And another in which she listens to a story from the seer, and it forms a moving tattoo on her arm."

Gwenddolyn says, "Or star crashers."

Whynd scratches his head.

Whynd weirdly says, "Weird."

Ruea raises an eyebrow.

Gwenddolyn says, "A falling star could do that kind of damage, and cause a fire storm."

Whynd nods at Gwenddolyn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Ruea leans on Kaelie.

Whynd shifts his weight.

You say, "In the vision with the tattoo, I could see that she has a scarred face, and cataracts in her eyes."

Whynd scratches his head.

Gwenddolyn asks, "So someone old, no racial clues?"

You say, "Or possibly eyes damaged by whatever gave her the scars."

Mazilyn nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

You say, "Can't speak too clearly to her age."

Gwenddolyn says, "Starlight damage."

You say, "She seemed quite capable at climbing a tree to get a better view of the forest fire, in the other vision."

You say, "I'm not sure how stealing a story ties into the destruction of the other two visions, but she certainly seems to be a dangerous person."

Ezerak nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Gwenddolyn asks, "Maybe it means stealing someones identity or their life?"

You say, "The damage in the latest vision doesn't seem to be the result of a fire, but as Gwenddolyn noted, the fire could have been caused as a result of something that also caused that destruction."

Sothios says, "Stealing is bad."

Elurora glances at Sothios.

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Sothios.

Woten giggles.

Messica blinks.

Mazilyn giggles at Messica.

You say, "And if she is interested in other forms of stealing... well, the Crossing bank is on Hodierna Way."

Navesi frowns.

Messica asks, "Time to move all our money?"

Gwenddolyn says, "I don't keep my money there anyways."

You say to Messica, "For the sake of any bank representatives who might be hearing about this, I'm not actually suggesting that people take all their money out and put it elsewhere."

Woten shrugs.

Messica grins at you.

Whynd looks at you, obviously trying not to grin.

Woten says, "I've been poor before."

Zfora says, "Hodierna is the goddes of light, resurrection, healing, life, and favor. The ruins are of her street in the Crossing. The other vision is of a forest, a signficant source of life, burning."

Zfora says, "The visions are of death."

Jaelia frowns.

Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Zfora winks at Sothios.

Nyrhin says, "Visions are always so cheerful."

You chuckle.

You exclaim, "Sometimes they're just confusing!"

Karthor says, "That makes an alarmin' amount o' sense."

Nyrhin grins.

Sothios smiles at Zfora.

Messica stares up with a look of wonder.

Gwenddolyn nods at Zfora, obviously agreeing with her views.

You say, "Okay, let's see. Next..."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Jaelia says, "I just say, there are gifts given to us by Immortals, of Life and Free Will. And there are other societies who see those gifts as very umm... in need of being checked and controlled or altered. That always concerns me."

Gridaksma glances at Jaelia.

You say, "Another vision of something disturbing, this time a bit more direct. But also a bit harder to place."

Jaelia says to Gridaksma, "Why do you keep glancing at me, if you want to say something, just say it. I am bad at small actions."

You say, "I smelled the oppressive weight of creaking timber and wet hemp rope all around me, and realized I was in the hold of a storm-battered ship. A gaethzen lantern swung above, casting its harsh light around the room. A chaotic scene of shipwrights struggling to patch a large hole in the hull while simultaneously repairing a snapped whipstaff. The team shouted commands in indecipherable jargon, and a mage produced a narrow stream of searing blue-hot flames to weld a brace to begin rejoining and supporting the steering column. Suddenly a violent explosion rocked the scene, and the mage was thrown to the ground, accidentally setting ablaze a spilled puddle of sealing pitch, and the room began to burn."

You say, "The team continued its work, indifferent to the inferno, and the vision faded."

Whynd grins at Jaelia.

Whynd nods emphatically at Karthor.

Jaelia says, "Or just shoot me in the head if that is better, but I am very confused by socially acceptable mannerisms, I apologize, sir."

You say, "Of note, blue flames have featured a bit in visions of late, though in this case it appears to just be getting used as a tool, rather than an ominous weapon."

You say, "Though, it still results in destruction."

Elizzibiana chuckles.

Gwenddolyn asks, "Blue flames signifies what?"

You look at Gwenddolyn and shrug.

Gridaksma says, "Tools and weapons are generally only differenciated by intent."

Gwenddolyn asks, "What magic has blue flames?"

Elizzibiana snickers.

Gridaksma says, "Elemental generally."

A wave of intense heat rolls out from a fiery fissure.

Saragos says to Gwenddolyn, "Sorcerous backlash can also manifest in blue flames."

You say, "It has some potentially sorcerous connotations. Though it's true that natural flames can be blue as well."

Whynd weirdly asks, "Was a blue comet in visions recently right?"

Pyppa smiles at Messica.

Messica says, "A sorcerous backlash would explain the explosion too."

Gwenddolyn says, "A comet makes sense."

Gwenddolyn says, "It will crash and cause fire and destruction."

Karthor says, "Oy, if they're tryin' to use sorcery to fix somethin' it's no wonder it went wrong."

Karthor clucks his tongue and shakes his head.

Elurora blinks at Gwenddolyn.

Whynd nods at Gwenddolyn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Gwenddolyn says, "The bloodworm comet is red, so a different one."

You say, "So, potentially a very bad situation, someone attempts to help using sorcery, and it makes things worse."

Gwenddolyn says, "I don't think sorcery could blow up the crossings."

Woten says, "With a simple cantrip I can make fire blue pretty easily, so lets not be too hasty jumping to conclusions."

Gridaksma says to Gwenddolyn, "You should know better than that."

Messica says to Gwenddolyn, "Depends on how many sorcerers there were...."

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Gridaksma.

Ezerak says to Gwenddolyn, "Historically, it's blown up more than that."

You say, "On another point, the repair team ignoring the fire seems a bit odd."

Elizzibiana nods to Woten.

Gwenddolyn says, "Yes it has, it changed the pathways too."

Elizzibiana rolls her eyes.

Whynd weirdly says, "It was only one woman mentioning she failed at the attempt on hodierna way though."

Woten chuckles.

Gridaksma says to you, "Unless it isn't sorcery at all, but specialization among an elemental mage."

You say, "It's understandable that the ship being in the process of actually sinking is a concern, but burning oil splattered about the interior would very quickly become a major problem."

Pyppa shifts her weight.

Jaelia says, "I think sorcery tied in with enough things can blow up anything. And there are a lot of crazy... err "interesting" things about everywhere, and Crossings is a nice Middle Place where many travel through. Including the High Temple. That could be literal or symbolic."

Elurora grins at Woten.

Gwenddolyn says, "A sinking ship could be a metaphor."

Mazilyn asks, "She mighta tried to save the city and "it was worth a try" to do so?"

Jaelia nods.

Zfora says, "The old woman in with the cataracts could barely see. A storm was coming, burning life, but she could barely see it. The ship is on fire but the repairmen are ignoring it..."

Gwenddolyn says, "Something that is already failing."

Tylanni nods to Mazilyn.

Elurora slowly says, "Seems to be if it was Crossing, it wasn't recent, didn't the vision talk about new growth? Maybe it's meant to be a chance to start over."

Whynd weirdly says, "Am not tryin to be argumentative, but she was at more than one place of destruction, trying to blow them up seems more likely than save them to me..."

Pyppa smiles at Sothios.

Mazilyn smiles at Tylanni.

Tylanni says, "Thats what I was thinking, we assumed she was of bad sorts."

You say to Elurora, "Yes, it did seem like whatever happened, the vision was some time afterwards."

Elurora nods to you.

Pyppa pats Sothios on the back.

Pyppa nods to Sothios.

You say, "The vision of apparently stealing a story has led me to view her as somewhat malicious."

You say, "Let's see, let me get the details on that one..."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Elurora cocks her head at you.

Gwenddolyn asks, "Any idea who the woman in the hat and smoking the cigarillo?"

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

A wave of intense heat rolls out from a small fiery fissure.

You say, "I found myself in a smoky room, standing before a seated woman wrapped in a broad cloak and wearing a wide brimmed hat. A cigarillo flared cherry red, softly illuminating the lower half of her scarred face, and she grinned widely. Tilting her head up, her cataract eyes stared directly at me beneath the brim of her hat, and she exhaled twin plumes of acrid smoke from her nostrils. I was telling a story, one I was intimately familiar with, though I paused, unsure of what happened next."

Whynd weirdly says, "Yo momma, sorry couldnt help myself."

You say, ""Is that all then?" she asked."

You say, "She reached forward, her tattooed arm displaying a vivid depiction of the exploits I just recounted to her, and I watched as the images began to move and shift. She laughed, and the vision faded."

Elurora chews on her lip, looking deep in concentration.

Woten says, "Now that's an odd vision."

Saragos raises an eyebrow.

Jaelia says, "We aer nothing without our stories."

You say, "Somehow, in the telling of the story, it formed a moving tattoo on her, and I forgot how the story goes."

Whynd weirdly says, "Oh interesting one..."

Saragos says, "That's an interesting one. Doesn't map to any kind of abilities I can think of."

Mazilyn says, "Interestin way to record history."

Woten says, "There are spells that manipulate memory, could be something like that."

Karthor asks, "It almost sounds a bit like...favors. Could she be a goddess?"

Woten says, "Clerics do it in a way."

Karthor scratches his head.

You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Suberri whispers something to Gridaksma.

Gridaksma nods to Suberri.

You say to Karthor, "An interesting point."

Woten says, "Plus those memory orbs that occasionally show up, also a holy spell pattern."

Woten gets a mirror-finish memory orb of polished telothian from inside his hooded longcoat.

Tylanni grins.

Elurora smiles at Suberri.

Gwenddolyn says, "There was also a vision about a Human man with a scarred face and burnt hand."

Mazilyn asks, "So maybe not a bad person, just differently moraled?"

Whynd weirdly says, "A cleric among ruins on Hodierna way, interesting vision if thought of that way."

Mazilyn smiles.

Gwenddolyn says, "The scarred faces seem to signify something."

Pyppa grins at Messica.

Pyppa nods to Messica.

Ezerak ponders.

Ezerak says, "Did we decide what we thought that one was? I seem to recall it being around the same time as the raid on Basalt Isle."

Navesi rubs her neck.

Gwenddolyn says, "That was too recent."

Gwenddolyn asks, "The vision is recent yes?"

You say, "The vision has been around for a bit, but after the Basalt Isle raid."

You nod.

Gridaksma says, "That could be a link to the scarring."

Tylanni smirks.

Gwenddolyn asks, "The one with A Human man with a scarred face and burnt hand is recent?"

You say, "Oh, no, that one isn't. That was..."

Pyppa nods to Messica.

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Ezerak nods to Gridaksma.

Ezerak says to Gridaksma, "That's what I was wondering."

Gwenddolyn says, "That seems like the results of failed sorcery, burned hand and all."

Tylanni nods to Jaelia.

Pyppa leans to her left slightly.

Gridaksma smiles at you as he patiently enlightens you further on the practice of Athletics.

Zfora says, "Or Hand of Tenemlor."

Gwenddolyn says, "The hand of tenemlor is a clawed hand."

Zfora says, "That is burnt to a crisp."

You say, "There was a vision of the king with the scarred face and burnt hand back in 436, it looks like."

Gridaksma says, "It could explain the odd magics, perhaps some kind of living memory experiement."

Gwenddolyn says, "Could be then."

Gwenddolyn says, "That is quite old vision then."

You say, "Let's see... Back to more recent visions. I suppose we can continue on ones dealing with ships."

Pyppa smiles at you.

You say, "I found myself peering over a boat railing, gazing into an uncannily still ocean. As I focused, peripheral distractions fell away, and I began to see glimmers of movement in the depths. A streak of light flashed across the surface, skittering back and forth a moment before diving deep and vanishing. Darkness, and then a faint glimmer and a luminescent disc expanded in the depths, growing larger and larger. The boat suddenly shuddered, and the waters vibrated intensely. The ring began to expand, and the vision faded."

Gwenddolyn says, "Guess I am keeping the boat docked for awhile."

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Karthor scratches his head.

You say, "Large things rising up from the depths could certainly be either literal or metaphorical."

Gwenddolyn says, "That reminds me of a shard of grazhir in the water."

Otherion says, "If the water was still and you were staring into it, you may have been seeing the sky reflected."

You say, "That does seem to potentially be the case in some visions."

Navesi says, "A good thought, but it seems his perception of it diving puts it as likely actually in the water."

Gwenddolyn asks, "The silver disk being a moon or comet?"

Navesi nods to Otherion.

You say, "Though in this case, the water itself seems to be moving."

Gwenddolyn says, "Disc."

Otherion says to Navesi, "Something that rises would appear to dive."

Gwenddolyn asks, "The moons are black, red and azure, grazhir was silver?"

You say, "I know there are some fish that live in the deep sea, and use a small light to attract prey."

Navesi thoughtfully says to Otherion, "Maybe. It's not my instinct in this case, but I hear you."

Gwenddolyn grins at Navesi, her dimples flashing into view.

You say, "The way the lights move seems a bit different in mechanism to how something like one of those fish would attack, though."

Zfora says, "Not if you think of us as the prey."

A wave of intense heat rolls out from a tiny fiery fissure.

Rifkinn gazes at Zfora.

Ruea smiles.

You say, "Well, I think even the original light would probably only grow closer in such a case. In this instance, it seems like whatever the first streak of light is, it dives down and triggers something below."

You ask, "A luminescent disc could be representative of a celestial object. Or... a giant jellyfish, I suppose?"

Elurora asks, "Do jellyfish glow?"

You exclaim, "Some can!"

Elurora grins at you.

Karthor asks, "Anythin' can glow in a vision, eh?"

Karthor chuckles.

You say, "I'm not aware of any large enough to cause a significant displacement of water, but well... Visions."

You shrug.

You say, "And the deep ocean."

A shiver runs up your spine.

Whynd weirdly asks, "Couldnta been a large glowing iron fragment? is that reaching?"

You say, "I think in that case I would expect to have felt some sensation of cold, or to perhaps have noticed stars at some point."

Whynd gives a slight nod.

Whynd weirdly says, "Aye."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

You ask, "The next vision continues a theme that's been noticed in visions for some time. But might indicate... an escalation?"

Gwenddolyn says, "Only thing."

You say, "A steady drumbeat furiously echoed around me, and I found myself standing before a war band of men and women brandishing spears, clad in leather and bone, masked in the skulls of wolf, bear, and wyvern. A tall warrior stood before the force, spear held high as he rallied the group."

You say, ""Who will grind their cities to dust?" he shouted, and the warriors pounded their chests twice in response."

You say, ""Who will shatter their air?" he howled, and the warriors pounded their chests twice."

You say, ""Who will pull screaming iron from their mountains?" he screamed, and the warriors pounded their chests twice."

You say, ""They do not have permission!" he yelled, and the assembly roared with noise."

You say, ""They do not have permission!" he yelled, and the vision faded."

Woten squints.

Karthor scratches his head.

You say, "In previous visions it has usually been presented in the form of "You do not have permission."

Nyrhin says, "Hmm."

Nyrhin says, "Curious."

Gwenddolyn asks, "A clan of warriors, from where?"

Gridaksma asks you, "Do you happen to have that previous vision recalled easily?"

You say to Gridaksma, "I can pick one. There's a number of them at this point."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Gridaksma says, "Knowing the other side may help put the puzzle in order."

Gwenddolyn says, "It seems like it is a gathering of warriors from various clans."

Saragos frowns.

Gwenddolyn says, "Not sure what the permission comments mean though."

You say, "Let's see, here's one of the earlier ones."

Navesi nods to Nalron.

Woten glances outside a moment.

You say, "You see a parent sitting with their child, speaking before a warmly glowing hearth fire, the rest of the room obscured in shadow. The child is looking up at the parent, who speaks softly, gently, their voice blending with the crackling flames and howling of the storm against window shutters. "Your questions are profound, but only accidentally so. You inquire only to establish your boundaries. You will always be safe here," the parent says, squeezing the child in a hug."

You say, "The storm continues, and the walls groan with the effort of remaining upright. The parent begins to hum a comforting tune, and the child seems oblivious to the maelstrom outside. As the storm intensifies, so too does the parent's song, winding along octaves, strangely resonant and haunting. The hearth glows brighter, and suddenly, the parent stops, looks up at you and says sharply, "You do not have permission."

You say, "The door flies open, an icy wind howls around you, and the vision fades."

Gwenddolyn says, "That is the boy I mentioned in my lecture."

Suberri glances at Gridaksma.

Gridaksma nods to Suberri.

You say, "That's from years back, in 431."

Suberri quietly says, "It sounds a lot like politics and history of the Nomads."

Gwenddolyn says, "We talked about the nomads last time."

Gwenddolyn nods to Suberri.

Jaelia smiles at Gwenddolyn.

You say, "There's been at least a half dozen other visions touching on the theme since then, not counting this latest."

You say, "And that's just the ones I have readily marked in my notes, I think there are some more."

Maraisel winks at Ruea.

Suberri quietly says, "I've noticed a shift that many are moving away from the teachings of their guilds and more to the old ways of direct training. Maybe this is to remind us of what was given up when our people joined the Accords."

You say, "I think the general consensus is that it has something to do with Lunar magic, either that of moon mages or of traders."

Saragos nods to you.

You say, "One of the more recent visions, with a captured star screaming the phrase, would seem to strengthen that."

Prowler Reiku just arrived.

Reiku casually observes the area.

You say, "So, this more recent vision may indicate... retaliation."

Rifkinn nods to Reiku.

Reiku stands near Rifkinn.

Reiku nods to Rifkinn.

Navesi raises an eyebrow.

You say, "For whatever happened or will happen to the star in the previous vision."

Rifkinn whispers something to Reiku.

Suberri quietly says, "If taken literally, yes. Though it could be symbolic that we need not give in to the restrictions anymore."

You say, "I'll recap thato ne as well..."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

You say, "I floated in the cold of emptiness and heard the song of distant constellations. Before me spun a strange structure, rings nested within geometric forms wrung with pulsing light. Through the gaps, I saw a caged star, burning bright blue. Periodically blazing coronal ejections roared outward and lashed against the structure, curving backwards along unseen currents as dissipating matter rained back down. The structure was unblemished by these flares."

You say, "I began to hear it, the agony, seething in fury and desperation. The fear. The star was helpless, and it was suffocating."

Reiku whispers something to Rifkinn.

Reiku looks at Rifkinn and sighs.

You say, "As the structure spun, I caught snippets of the star's screams: the words "not," "you," and "permission." The vision faded."

Gwenddolyn asks, "You think it is the nomads taking action?"

You say, "No. Something from the Plane of Probability, more likely."

Elurora furrows her brow.

Sothios says, "There's a caged ball of energy in the plane of electricity staring at a structure."

Rifkinn whispers something to Reiku.

You say, "Hmm... Those skulls. I need to recheck my notes from the attempt at communicating with beings from the Plane of Probability using a Nomad ritual, though. There were some unusual beings then, and something is tickling my memory, but I don't have it handy for reference."

Elurora asks, "Isn't there something about Naming things and how it traps them as that thing?"

Jaelia says, "If for any reason, you ever find a glowing fragment and if for whatever reason you want to do a ceremony to return it back to the stars - I will perform that ritual for you. Stars and their pieces are important always, although we don't always know why. Just so that is an aside."

Reiku gives Rifkinn a slight nod.

You nod to Elurora.

Navesi smiles at Jaelia.

Navesi says to Jaelia, "Thank you. I didn't realize that was possible."

You say to Elurora, "Something along those lines. Naming something appears to lock down the nature of its existence in some way."

Saragos says, "Might be that whatever is caged is something that needs caging."

Elurora says to you, "So that star could be something like that. Trapped by a Name."

Navesi nods at Saragos, obviously agreeing with his views.

You say to Elurora, "But the details of even the Naming ritual for Grazhir shards are not widely shared... And I think what Nera did went well beyond that."

Gwenddolyn says, "A trapped star or signifying something else that is trapped."

Elurora asks you, "Could they be in pain? The shards?"

Elurora cocks her head at you.

Gwenddolyn asks, "The broken shards of grazhir?"

Suberri says, "It is our naming that has angered and hurt many on that plane."

Gwenddolyn says, "The naming makes them no longer unified."

You say to Elurora, "I've not seen anything indicating the Grazhir shards have anything like a mind, at least."

Zfora says, "I hear that when Maelshyve died, she was broken up into shards."

Elurora nods to you.

Suberri peers quizzically at you.

Navesi nods to Jaelia.

Jaelia smiles at Navesi.

Mazilyn angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Zfora.

Suberri says, "I felt the shards have all been pure mind."

Gwenddolyn asks, "Wouldnt it be something if unifying the shards of grazhir brought the moon back?"

Sothios asks, "Ya think the shards have minds?"

You say, "I'm not sure exactly what "screaming iron" means, but it being pulled from mountains combined with the air being shattered makes me think of natural laws being twisted. The kind of thing that might happen when planes bleed into each other."

Gwenddolyn nods to you.

Reiku whispers something to Rifkinn.

Gwenddolyn asks, "The planes are divided by what?"

Navesi bows her head, acknowledging Jaelia.

Gwenddolyn asks, "What keeps them divided?"

Jaelia smiles at Navesi.

Woten says, "Void."

You say, "The planar void."

Navesi nods to you.

Rifkinn whispers something to Reiku.

Reiku nods at Rifkinn, obviously agreeing with his views.

Gwenddolyn says, "Interesting to think the void is allowing them to bleed together then."

You say, "Though it's obviously not a hard barrier that blocks all contact."

Navesi says, "Such rules breaking might be the result of other structures upholding natural laws being broken, perhaps."

Gwenddolyn asks, "You think that it would destroy things like parts of crossings as it gets worse?"

Woten says, "That might be reading a bit much into what seemed like war crys to me."

You say, "I'm not sure the ruins would be that recognizable if that was the method of destruction."

Jaelia bows her head and chants catechisms.

Jaelia nods.

Ruea glances at Ayrell.

Gwenddolyn says, "And finding all of the shards would be impossible, some are still undiscovered in the waters."

You say, "And then, one more recent vision, which is just... a bit odd."

Navesi nods to Nalron.

Jaelia laughs!

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Jaelia says, "Phelim's light is needed at times."

Gwenddolyn says, "There is always one more."

You say, "A crack in nothingness spidered across my field of view, and after a moment, disappeared behind a perfectly square panel of utter black hanging in midair. I gazed at the paper thin blackness which was markedly nearby, but perfect edged and fathomless. Pinpricks of light appeared in its depths, spiraling forward, and with the sound of shattering glass, the panel slowly hazed over, resolving into the normal, unblemished field of view as before. With a *click*, the square disruption vanished, and everything appeared as normal. I blinked in confusion, and the vision faded."

Ruea whispers something to Ayrell.

Ayrell nods at Ruea, obviously agreeing with her views.

Messica grins.

Messica says, "I like that one."

You say, "Not too different from a moongate, but opening up into blackness."

Sothios takes a full step back and plants his feet firmly.

Sothios takes a step back and readies an open palm.

Ayrell whispers something to Ruea.

Sothios grins.

Sothios nods to Zfora.

Gwenddolyn says, "Paper thin."

You say, "And the way in which it went away was different from a moongate."

You say, "Hard to say if the lights broke something, or if it was something else that broken and prevented the lights from reaching the 'surface'."

Zfora giggles.

Gwenddolyn says, "It said it was a square disruption."

Gwenddolyn says, "Odd wording."

Tylanni shakes his head at Jaelia.

You say, "A disruption in space."

Tylanni chuckles.

Gwenddolyn says, "But square."

You say, "Well, I suppose it would probably be possible to open a square moongate, as well, if someone wanted to go to the effort."

Tylanni chuckles.

Gwenddolyn says, "I have never seen one."

Tylanni nods to Jaelia.

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Gwenddolyn says, "That seems like a challenge."

Gwenddolyn winks.

Mazilyn asks, "Is partial displacement square ish?"

Sothios grins.

Gwenddolyn says, "I thought it was triangular."

Messica winks at Sothios.

You say, "Being a perfect square might mean something of a mathematical concept involved, though."

Navesi nods to you.

Jaelia says, "I really need a Moon mage to sit down and have a very long discussion with me about the scholarly elements of the planes and such. I will pay you for your time."

Gwenddolyn says, "Partial would mean more than 1 and 2 triangles is a square."

You say, "Hopefully it's not indicative of something opening a hole directly to the Plane of Probability or something."

Navesi says to Jaelia, "No cost. I'd be happy to talk to you sometime."

Jaelia exclaims to Navesi, "Fantastic, I will set up a time soon!"

Navesi says, "My husband and I specialize in researching the planes."

Ruea whispers something to Ayrell.

Tylanni says, "Its a lot to take in."

Gwenddolyn nods at Tylanni, obviously agreeing with his views.

Ayrell nods at Ruea, obviously agreeing with her views.

You ask, "And that covers the new visions I had to discuss this evening. Does anybody have any further questions, or things they'd like to bring up?"

RRifkinn casually observes the area.
