You say, "Okay, well, I think we can probably get started. First off, thank you all for coming."

You say, "There are several visions to discuss this evening, and as usual most of them are a bit on the, ah, vague side. But there are some elements to work with."

Elurora grins at you.

Elurora quietly says, "Visions, vague and confusing, imagine that."

Elurora gazes off into the distance.

Aislynn begins chortling at Elurora.

You say, "I suppose we'll start with one featuring a theme that has become quite familiar, the figures in golden plate armor."

Eyst says, "Indeed."

You say, "Everything flickered, the fabric of reality rent, and I found myself standing in an open field of cinders. A figure clad in golden plate charged at me, leapt from thirty feet away, and thrust a spear forward, ready to strike. The tip of the spear sailed past my cheek, and as the figure knocked me aside, I heard an otherworldly scream."

Aislynn observes you with fascination.

You say, "I saw the figure locked in combat with a tall creature made of flowing stone banded in red lightning, lashing limb and electricity against golden plate. As spear and stone collided at blinding speed, the creature grabbed the figure's hand and crushed it. Screaming in pain, the figure headbutted the creature and both fell backwards, motionless."

Aislynn frowns.

You say, "With his remaining hand, the figure tore off his helm and grinned at me from behind a bloodied face, and shakily struggled to his feet. The creature writhed to a standing position, and brandishing the spear with his good hand, the figure faced the creature. The vision faded."

Elizzibiana says, "Ouch."

Elurora furrows her brow.

Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Eyst ponders.

Elurora says, "Darn, I was hoping for a neat face reveal with the helm."

Elurora sighs.

Ezerak chuckles.

Ezerak nods at Elurora, obviously agreeing with her views.

Navesi nods to Elurora.

You say, "The pattern seems to hold, with a figure in golden plate fighting some sort of monster, and being badly injured. Sometimes fatally, sometimes not, but never seeming to be too perturbed about it. Sometimes more than one of the figures is involved."

Eyst says, "Rather different manner of creature from the usual nightmares."

Aislynn nods in agreement.

You nod.

Navesi says, "It almost seems as though being injured is a part of their plan."

You say, "Many of them do seem to involve materials acting in ways in which they should not, though in this case it seems more specifically elemental in nature."

Aislynn ominously says, "Or self-sacrifice."

You say, "Though the red lightning would seem to indicate something strange going on there."

Cryle motions to Aislynn.

You say, "Still, if these figures do represent the Bulwark, it would make some sense that there are potential threats from more than one place outside of our own plane."

Apollys nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Kaelie grins slowly.

Zynell smiles at Nsar.

Cryle says, "They seem quite heroic to me. Smiles, I am told, are often signs of re-assurance. Though they are being beaten, they put on a brave face to show us not to fear."

Apollys says, "That was my thought about the red lightning. It doesn't seem... quite right. Not something I'd identify as strictly elemental."

Karthor asks, "Flowin' stone's also a bit abnormal, eh?"

Elurora grins at Karthor.

Sothios smiles.

Aislynn quietly asks, "Sort of pyroclastic?"

Aislynn ponders.

You hear a voice ask, "Sorcery perhaps?"

Elurora quietly says, "I really need to start bringing a dictionary with me to these things."

Elurora chews on her lip, looking deep in concentration.

Elizzibiana chuckles at Elurora.

Messica giggles at Elurora.

You say, "A warrior mage might be able to speak more to it. I think they can tweak the colors of some elements without it crossing into sorcery, but changing the nature of the way in which they interact with the world does."

Elurora smiles at Aislynn.

Navesi says, "Stone does flow, when hot enough. But certainly unusual to do so without heat."

Aislynn nods to Elurora.

Aislynn smiles at Elurora.

Zalinyar says, "Lightning would create super heated stone."

Sothios searches around for a moment.

Zynell says, "The pylons in the plane of electricity are banded in cambrinth which has red bits to it."

You say, "The location certainly seemed to have been exposed to a great deal of heat, but the figure in the golden plate looked relatively fine if the thing he headbutted was made of actually molten stone."

Isaish gazes at Cryle.

Cryle flicks her tail, whipping it peevishly.

Kaelie exclaims to Zynell, "Whys it always gotta lead back there!"

Kaelie flails her arms about.

Kaelie laughs!

Zalinyar grins at Kaelie, her dimples flashing into view.

Zynell exclaims to Kaelie, "Apologies!"

Zynell reaches over and covers Kaelie's ears with her hands.

Apollys says, "I think, if we accept that these gold-clad figures are representative of something holy and good, then what we can deduce from that is simple. Magic is evil."

Apollys takes a bite of the tart.

Aislynn snorts, loudly.

Messica snorts, loudly.

Aislynn grins at Messica.

Elurora glances at Apollys.

Zalinyar raises her voice in merry laughter.

Zalinyar takes a sip of her Rum.

Aislynn waggles her fingers mystically at Apollys. How nice.

Messica giggles.

Apollys flashes a quick grin at Aislynn.

Karthor scratches his head.

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Elurora quietly says to Messica, "Wait until he learns about Paladins."

You say, "Let's see then. Moving on... I think next I'll talk about another vision where I might have a guess as to what it is about, though some here might perhaps be able to help me out with more information."

Messica giggles at Elurora.

You say, "Hiking up a steep mountain, I turned a moment and watched birds soaring along the ocean. As I made my way around a boulder field, I spotted a tall menhir at the edge of a cliff. Long flowing lines covered the statue, and as the sun set, the menhir began to glow. Suddenly, the ground shok, and a fumarole geysered yellow smoke into the air for a long moment. When the smoke cleared, I found myself standing before a large opening that reeked of stinging sulfur. An angry hiss echoed along the cave walls, and a pair of glistening silver eyes opened in the depths, staring at me hungrily. The vision faded."

You say, "I've not been to the area myself, but the general description makes me think of the volcano where those magma cobra creatures were recently discovered."

Navesi nods to you.

Linkwurst chuckles.

Messica asks, "Isn't there a destroyed structure on that volcano? Could the menhir have been part of that?"

Apollys says, "The scenery certainly implies that."

Navesi asks, "Has anyone seen the menhir in person?"

You say, "Has anyone here been there, and seen anything like a menhir? Or if the cobras have silver eyes, for that matter."

You say, "No? Well, I'll continue to be on the lookout for anyone who has been to the area, and I'd be interested in hearing anything about it."

You say, "The rest of the visions are a bit murkier to interpret, but let's see..."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

You say, "I found myself walking along a quiet and calm beachfront, the waves hissing along the sands. A thick fog poured from the sea, smelling of brine and obscuring my vision. The air was cool and the sand colder still. A rumbling series of clicks echoed around me, and a surge of surf washed chilly seawater around my ankles. A deafening double hoot trilled in the distance. The waters receded, leaving my feet partially buried in wet sand, and I wriggled my way free. As I peered into the mist, a slight breeze stirred the air and I was able to make out the vague outline of a long, centipede-like creature walking along the coast, slowly lumbering on countless legs, its body fading from sight. It paused and turned to the shore, tilting its strange head as a multitude of inky black compound eyes fixated on me. The vision faded."

Linkwurst says, "There's the creature that has been bothering me."

Linkwurst nods.

Kaelie quietly says, "So many charming visions."

Tirost ponders.

Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

You say, "While a centipede has appeared as a representation of Maelshyve in the past, that one appeared different in a number of ways."

Kretona angles an ear toward a miniature mimic octopus fashioned from scraps of garishly patterned cloth slightly, but otherwise ignores it.

Kaelie taps Kretona's nose.

Apollys asks, "Of a demon. Could this be in reference to the threat posed by the Hand should it break its containment?"

Kaelie jumps back from Kretona!

Kretona appears to be trying to tickle Kaelie with his tail.

Zynell reaches over and grooms Kretona's ears for a moment, purring softly.

Messica stands up.

Messica says, "Pardon me, I must duck out."

Kaelie takes a sip of her wine.

You say, "My guess would be that the location is of some importance, so with the coastline featuring prominently probably not somewhere in Ilithi."

Zalinyar asks, "Ratha maybe?"

You say, "It was noticeably cold in the vision... Though we are drawing on toward winter."

Linkwurst says, "I find it interesting that the 'temperatures' of the previous visions have been very hot and this one is very cold. Perhaps Aesry with the Ice caves."

Linkwurst nods to you.

Tirost asks, "Do the rumbling clicks represent the sound of something being opened?"

Navesi says, "Or the sound of centipede feet."

You say, "I think the clicks were likely the sound of the centipede walking."

Eyst gives a slight nod.

Kaelie says to Tirost, "I like that theory so much better than a thousand centipede legs on rocks."

Elizzibiana chuckles at Kretona.

You say, "Though, the fact that it was so long that its body faded off into the mist makes me think it probably represents something other than an actual massive centipede. I hope."

Tirost grins at Kaelie.

You hear a voice say, "Do owls live near beaches? You mentioned hoots."

Linkwurst says, "The influence or reach of the entity."

Kretona gazes at his claws.

You say, "With all the mist it was hard to tell where the sound was specifically coming from, but the hooting was extremely loud."

Aislynn quietly says, "Could be fog horns."

Navesi nods to Aislynn.

Aislynn quietly says, "With all that fog. Sort of necessary."

Kretona raises an eyebrow.

Kretona nods to a miniature mimic octopus fashioned from scraps of garishly patterned cloth.

Cryle asks, "Did not the Merelew's leviathan hoot...?"

Aislynn quietly says, "Though the clicks and hoots also remind me of.. Yes, that."

Tirost glances at Cryle.

You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Apollys says, "Well, my thoughts were, there was a previous vision of the Hand pouring out beyond Blackthorn, and this might be a continuation of that. The blight spreading further north, to Acenamacra, perhaps. It might be a bit of a stretch, though."

Apollys rubs his neck.

Isaish whispers something to Elizzibiana.

Elizzibiana nods to Isaish.

You say to Apollys, "A good point, though I would think there might be some sort of barrier in the vision, either destroyed already or being breached."

Apollys gives a slight nod.

Zaran leans forward.

You say, "The sounds of the leviathans is also a good point... Probably won't be able to ask any Merelew about it for a while, though."

Navesi nods to you.

Eyst says, "Interesting that such a creature wasn't overtly threatening. As imposing as it might be it seemed to just be about its own business."

Tirost gives Eyst a slight nod.

Cryle stares outside for a few long moments.

You say to Eyst, "It did seem that it only noticed me toward the end of the vision, so hard to say what the next move might be."

Elurora quietly says, "Maybe you were just really small and the critter was a normal one going about its business."

Elurora appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Linkwurst says, "Or at least, not immediately threatening to the character whose eye through which we were seeing."

Apollys says, "I don't go out of my way to stomp on ants. Likely, if it represents a demon, it views on-looking mortals the same way. Biggest plans in motion."

Navesi nods to Apollys.

You say, "Hmm, now, which one to go with next... The unpleasant one, or the odd, but interesting experience..."

You ponder.

Navesi says, "Though it seems unlikely to be Maelshyve, given how thoroughly dying she is."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Apollys asks you, "Do you ever have pleasant ones?"

Elurora quietly asks Navesi, "Can demons have babies?"

Elurora furrows her brow.

Kaelie says, "Let's save the real horror show for last."

Linkwurst says, "Unpleasent then odd.... just like training as a mage."

Linkwurst grins.

You exclaim to Apollys, "Occasionally!"

You chuckle.

Zalinyar grins at Linkwurst, her dimples flashing into view.

Navesi says to Elurora, "Good question. I'm not sure."

You say, "Okay, unusual experience first, then."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

You say, "I found myself floating in nothingness, and I could not remember anything. I began to gather myself, creating first principles, simple mathematics, and logic. At my whim, I gave rise to space, emptiness now stretching around me, and sparks flickered near and far, sequences resulting in the sequential progression of time. For now."

Navesi says to Elurora, "My best guess is no, but I'm not sure how any of them are generated to begin with."

Eyst ponders.

Elurora quietly says, "/quietl I was just thinkin'. Since I've been told I look like my Mom. A child might make sense."

You say, "Time passed."

Aislynn blanches.

Navesi nods to Elurora.

Aislynn quietly asks, "Maths?"

You say, "A field of stardust shimmered, bathed in knowledge and secrets, whispers of what was before. I knelt, dug a small hole, and dropped a single seed into the pit, which I covered. A seedling emerged and unfurled fuzzy, oblong leaves. A pointed bud formed and ripened quickly, its layered white petals edged in red, spiraling slightly."

Aislynn frowns.

Aislynn quietly asks, "Phofe again?"

You say, "I stepped back, the protea flower blossoming before my eyes revealing billowing shadows. As what passed for the air around me filled with the scent of sweet honey, I watched in wonder as dozens of seedlings popped up nearby, then hundreds, then thousands, and the vision faded."

Aislynn quietly says, "Ahh. Protea."

Aislynn nods.

Navesi nods to Aislynn.

Kaelie says, "See, why can't all visions be flowers and fields of them."

Apollys says, "Whatever that confusing mess is about, I'm blaming traders. I throw my hands up when it comes to mathematics."

Apollys takes a bite of the tart.

Elurora grins at Kaelie.

You say, "Protea flowers appearing in areas that aren't physically possible does seem to be a thing which has showed up in visions a few times."

Ayrell chuckles to herself.

Aislynn nods.

You hear a quiet voice say, "Whispers of what was before..."

Kaelie winks at Elurora.

Kretona gets a lion leg from inside his butcher's bag.

Kaelie takes a sip of her wine.

Elurora slowly says, "The part about time was interesting."

Kretona licks a lion leg.

Eyst gives a slight nod.

Navesi says, "Mathematics is perhaps the most beautiful of all things."

Kretona nibbles on a lion leg thoughtfully.

You say, "It is... difficult to really give a good impression of what that experience was like in words."

Navesi smiles slightly.

Tirost glances at Navesi.

Navesi takes a sip of her tea.

Ezerak chuckles.

Ezerak says to Navesi something in Ilithic.

You say, "One might think that suddenly finding yourself floating in nothingness could be upsetting, but I couldn't even remember how to feel something like panic."

Ayrell gives Ezerak a gentle poke in the ribs.

Navesi says to Ezerak, "Excuse me, I didn't catch that."

Ayrell quietly says to Ezerak, "Common, dear."

Ezerak coughs.

Navesi says, "Common isn't necessary, but if you prefer."

Kaelie says to Navesi, "He said he loves math too."

Xelten says, "Something that foul really cannot be translated."

Ezerak says to Navesi, "Beg pardon, I said I'll take your word for it."

Navesi laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

Tirost chuckles.

Ayrell chuckles at Kaelie.

Eyst says, "I imagine waking from such an omnipotent perspective was disorienting."

Aislynn begins chortling at Xelten.

Apollys says, "From the sounds of it, it was more... what's the word? Almost serene? An intellectual endeavor, rather than an adventurous one."

Navesi says to Kaelie, "I'll be sure to gather some wonderful tomes to lend him."

You nod to Eyst.

Ayrell chuckles at Xelten.

You nod to Apollys.

Kaelie says to Apollys, "For some an intellectual endeavor IS an adventure."

Tirost asks Aislynn, "Can I ask if there's anything of particular importance you can think of with regard to protea flowers?"

Navesi says, "They've featured in many visions before."

Zaran winces.

You say, "If we could work out the meaning of the protea flowers in these visions, I'm sure they would be more enlightening."

Zalinyar says, "Seeing something unexpected and captivating multiply in such a way must have been significant."

Aislynn quietly says to Tirost, "There's been a couple of interesting visions, like was said. Rooms with specific angles, an odd, watery snake being that bursts from protea blossoms..."

Aislynn ponders.

Zalinyar says, "Especially to the one planting the seed.It reminds me of creating an army."

Tirost thoughtfully says to Aislynn, "Snake being? Interesing..."

Aislynn nods to Tirost.

Zaran shudders.

Aislynn quietly says to Tirost, "Several years back, though, that one. I thought it was particularly lovely."

Aislynn ponders.

You say to Tirost, "Something that might be a naga, from what I remember of previous discussion on that one."

Navesi nods to you.

Aislynn nods to you.

Tirost nods.

Navesi says, "Like a naga with antlers, if I recall."

Linkwurst says, "Planting a single seed and seeing the growth multiply seems simple to interpret, but yes, finding out what exactly is being implied to multiply would be the crux of the interpretation."

Elurora says, "Nagas are viscious."

Elurora wrinkles her nose.

Navesi frowns at Elurora.

Apollys says, "Nagantlers. Very rare species."

Apollys gazes upward.

Apollys takes a bite of the tart.

Elurora says to Navesi, "At least the one I saw was, as it made me not alive."

Elurora grins at Navesi.

Nsar says, "Ideas, like seeds, multiply when planted correctly and nurtured."

Navesi chuckles.

Sothios leans back against Zynell with a loving smile.

Navesi says to Elurora, "Yes. They'll do that."

Elurora laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

Elurora nods at Navesi, obviously agreeing with her views.

Navesi says, "I wouldn't say vicious though. More like intent. And skilled."

You hear a voice ask, "I do not really know what a protea flower is...rather poor at botany. Is it an old flower?"

You say, "Holding onto the mental state I was experiencing in that vision is tricky, though it seemed I perhaps did not expect so many of them."

Eyst gets a king protea blossom from inside his tinker's pack.

Aislynn quietly asks, "It's called the King Protea blossom. For.. Hmm. Reasons? Who the void is King Protea?"

Aislynn squints.

Tirost glances at Eyst.

Elurora asks Navesi, "I've heard they'll turn on their summoner sometimes. That seems a little more so than not?"

Navesi observes Eyst with fascination.

Eyst holds a king protea blossom high into the air for all to see.

Elurora giggles at Aislynn.

Tirost grins at Aislynn.

Navesi says to Elurora, "Could be many reasons for that."

Kretona tries to eat a lion leg.

Elurora nods to Navesi.

Elurora blinks at Kretona.

Kretona chews pensively on a lion leg.

You say, "They're native to Taisidon, but I don't know too much about their history, unfortunately."

Elurora says to Kretona, "I hope you cooked that first."

Aislynn quietly says, "They're from Taisidon, so we don't get many chances to study them."

Aislynn nods to you.

Kretona shakes his head at Elurora.

Kretona says to Elurora, "Ruin good meat/."

Kretona coughs.

Elurora looks at Kretona and sighs.

Sothios smiles at you as he patiently enlightens you further on the practice of Alchemy.

Eyst says, "If anyone would like to see it closer they're welcome to handle it."

Elurora quietly says, "I know too many Prydaen."

Elurora gazes off into the distance.

Kretona angles an ear toward a miniature mimic octopus fashioned from scraps of garishly patterned cloth slightly, but otherwise ignores it.

Kretona nods to a miniature mimic octopus fashioned from scraps of garishly patterned cloth.

Kretona just touched a miniature mimic octopus fashioned from scraps of garishly patterned cloth.

Kretona nibbles on a lion leg thoughtfully.

Elurora furrows her brow.

You say, "At any rate, I actually found the whole experience rather soothing, which is a nice change of pace."

You say, "But certainly disorienting when it ended."

Elurora flashes a quick grin at Aislynn.

Aislynn nods to Elurora.

You say, "Can't say as much for the last vision to discuss this evening, I'm afraid."

Tirost smiles at Woten.

Ezerak says, "They can survive wildflowers, as I recall, and are considered a symbol of courage and tenacity."

Tirost bows.

Ezerak coughs.

Woten nods to Tirost.

Ezerak says, "Wildfires."

Elurora shifts her weight.

Messica says, "Surviving wildflowers is impressive."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Navesi chuckles at Ezerak.

Kretona gets a severed lizard's tail from inside his butcher's bag.

Kretona smiles at a severed lizard's tail.

Tirost chuckles at Messica.

Navesi says to Ezerak, "Vicious flower battles."

Kretona gives a severed lizard's tail a hug!

Ayrell nods at Messica, obviously agreeing with her views.

Kretona licks a severed lizard's tail.

Aislynn nods at Elurora, obviously agreeing with her views.

Elurora giggles at Aislynn.

Aislynn grins at Messica.

You say, "I found myself in a dark forest standing before a campfire. A man knelt before the flames, gripping his left forearm and staring at his hand, straining in agony and effort, his muscles bulging and sweat pouring from his body. His left hand shook, clenching, the knuckles cracking and tendons creaking. The man snarled and said through gritted teeth, "We will show them. We will show them all."

Aislynn frowns.

Elurora blinks at you.

You say, "He wrestled his struggling hand down slowly slowly into the flame, and as the flesh began to blacken, several eyes opened along the palm and looked around frantically. Red pustules bubbled and popped, and a sharp-toothed maw opened along his wrist and began to scream. As the appendage burned, it seemed to drink in the flames, changing and twisting, and soon the man began to scream instead. The vision faded."

Kaelie wrinkles her nose.

Kaelie guzzles down some of her wine and then smacks her lips and wipes them with her sleeve.

A pained expression crosses Aislynn's face.

A pained expression crosses Navesi's face.

Xelten raises an eyebrow.

Woten says, "Yeesh."

Eyst tugs at the tip of his mustache distractedly.

Elurora nods at Messica, obviously agreeing with her views.

Karthor raises an eyebrow.

Zalinyar blinks at you.

Kretona ponders.

Aislynn quietly exclaims to Woten, "Welcome!"

Aislynn grins at Woten.

Apollys says, "Hm. That's... huh."

Woten winks at Aislynn.

You say, "It's unclear if "we" was meant to include whatever was in his hand, though it certainly didn't seem to be happy about being put in the fire."

Aislynn quietly says to Woten, "You have the best timing."

Aislynn pats Woten on the back.

Elurora quietly says, "It almost sounds like his hand wasn't...his hand."

Tirost gazes thoughtfully at you.

Ezerak says, "That's certainly disturbing."

You hear a voice say, "I do not know why, but it seems to me that this is the same man that has been featured in other visions...the scarred King. As we move forward, its seems we are seeing further into his history."

Woten quietly says to Aislynn, "No kidding, I'm sorry I came."

Zalinyar says, "Demonic."

Linkwurst says, "Multiple eyes appear in several of the visions."

Kaelie grins at Woten.

Elurora gazes down at her hands.

Elurora quietly says, "Nope, no eyes."

Linkwurst says, "Multiple legs, multiple eyes... multiple plants."

Kaelie says to Woten, "You missed the one about king protea fiels of flowers."

Woten sighs.

Woten snaps his fingers.

You nod in understanding as Sothios fills you in on some of the obscure details of Alchemy you desperately need to know.

You say, "Yes, the king with the scarred hand did definitely occur to me. Not as much of the celestial theme, but as there was no crown yet that could be explained away."

Zaran says, "The maw reminds me of the Hunger."

Navesi says, "Moon Mages see visions of the future. So the burning of the hand is yet to come."

Nefis rubs his left hand.

Nefis frowns.

Kretona nods to Nefis.

Woten says to Kaelie, "That'll teach me to show up on time."

Kaelie grins at Woten.

Nsar raises an eyebrow in Zaran's direction.

Nefis says, "Yes....but what I am suggesting is the initial vision were much *further* into the future."

Linkwurst says, "Seems to imply a force that is scrambling, growing, and watching."

Zaran nods.

Messica says to Woten, "We retroactively made the visions extra-special worse, just because you were late."

Kaelie says to Woten, "When fashionably late means your stomach curls at the discussion to arrive to."

Elurora giggles at Messica.

You say, "Yes, if the events are all far enough in the future, we won't necessarily see them in the order in which they occur, if multiple visions are related to the same thing."

Elizzibiana closes her class to new students.

Tirost asks, "What sort of entity would be inclined to drink flame?"

Navesi takes a sip of her tea.

Messica says, "Also, the events could theoretically be in both in the past and future, depending on the geometry of time."

Aislynn quietly says to Tirost, "Barbarian."

Tirost grins at Aislynn.

Zynell says, "Or reside in an arm."

Apollys asks, "Besides a circus act?"

Zynell nods to Tirost.

You say, "I wasn't able to get a very good view of what ultimately happened to his hand, though. If he burned away whatever was there, or if it changed into something else."

Elurora gazes at Messica.

Xelten dryly says, "I suspect I know someone who would drink fire if she could."

Kaelie says, "I can't imagine it coming out as anything pleasant."

Navesi says, "Well, I need to be going. Good to see you all."

Navesi nods politely.

Tirost says to Zynell, "Sivroch has transformed her body such that she has manifested additional eyes."

Nefis says to you, "If it's the same man...his hand is burned and he wears a crown of stars."

Elurora quietly says to Messica, "You missed the vision that had math."

Ayrell chuckles at Xelten.

You say, "It's possible that the man began screaming because he burned out whatever was in his hand and began feeling the fire himself."

Ezerak grins at Xelten, his dimples flashing into view.

Nefis says, "Similar to one that Lord Jeihrem wore in one vision."

Messica says to Elurora, "Figures."

Zynell says to Tirost, "But she does not reside inside another's arm."

Linkwurst says, "That would seem to be a reasonable conclusion."

Kaelie says, "I mean your hand in fire alone would probably be reason enough to elicit a scream."

Elurora nods at Kaelie, obviously agreeing with her views.

Linkwurst nods to you.

You say, "I think destroying whatever it was is unlikely, however, given his statement about "showing them all"."

Aislynn quietly says, "Perhaps he was saying that he would show everyone what was in his hand. Errm. What I mean to say is.. Perhaps the eyes and such weren't visible until he forced them out. To show everyone."

Eyst nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Zalinyar says, "Fire is cleansing as well."

Tirost says to Zynell, "She does not, but Jeihrem was able to survive by bonding to her in some fashion. It is likey she has some sort of symbiotic relationship with another entity."

Linkwurst says, "Or at least, the process of evicting the entity eventually burned past their tolerance for pain."

Apollys says, "Or, the opposite might be true. It was a way to bond with whatever was ... inflicted on his hand."

Aislynn nods to Apollys.

Nsar says, "It also began to drink in the flames if you were paying close enough attention to the description.."

You say, "I'm leaning toward thinking the fire was meant to change it in some way, possibly to gain some sort of power."

Nefis chuckles.

Tirost gazes thoughtfully at you.

You say, "It's unclear who he was referring to, but people speaking like that may not have the most clearly thought out plans anyway."

Woten tugs at the tip of his beard distractedly.

Tirost says, "I don't think the man was allied entirely to whatever was in his hand."

Messica nods at Tirost, obviously agreeing with his views.

Linkwurst says, "Hmmm... I interpreted the intent of the thrusting of the arm into the flame as trying to rid them of the eyes, but it having the opposite effect as the eyes drank in the flames."

Tirost says, "He had to wrestle it down to the flame, and it screamed... until he screamed."

Zaran pushes his spectacles up the bridge of his nose.

You say, "It certainly didn't seem happy about the process, yes."

Zynell says to Tirost, "One can join with another in various fashions to survive things, the one in the vision may be more of a useful parasite."

Linkwurst says, "Intent is a hard thing to gather from visions."

Kaelie guzzles down some of her wine and then smacks her lips and wipes them with her sleeve.

Nefis says, "Probably irrelevant, considering his...circumstances, but I believe Zauldin had a scarred hand as well."

Nsar chuckles.

Zynell grins at Nefis.

Kretona asks, "Hand?"

Nsar says, "To Zauldin."

Nsar takes a sip of his sherry.
