Shard's assay shop is filled with the smell of new wood and plaster. Builders move in and out, hurrying to get the place finished, while the assay clerk stands behind a counter in the midst of the clutter and confusion, quietly working away. You also see a large map mounted on the wall, some balance scales and a sign.
