I realize you probably were very busy, but I should have let you know that you were welcome to be there. That being said, for your peace of mind, please know that it was my decision solely to step down as the Speaker for this fine Order. Any rumors or tales that say otherwise are false. It is done with joy and a look forward to the future with no ill will or malice involved."
Valkhan smiles at you.
Valkhan says, "Kaelie, I don't know if you have that much malice in you at all."

(Kaelie fans at her face, and takes in a slow deep breath to try and steady her emotions. Nodding a little, mostly to herself, she can do this without blubbering.)
Valkhan shakes his head.
You say, "That means a lot to me."
Lycette says to you, "On behalf of all of us, thank you for everything you've done over the years."
You ask Valkhan, "Do you mind if I address the Order for a final time?"

You humbly say, “To the Council that has served the Order with such diligence and honor to the position they hold, most of them for my entire tenure, for allowing me to Speak for them and the Order of the Black Fox with the trust they have given for decades, well, it takes my breath away. And saying thank you feels resoundingly short by more than a fraction of my gratitude to you all.

I feel that in my time as Speaker I have made every effort, even when not acting in that official capacity, to maintain a demeanor that would never cause anyone to question the Council on my actions or words. I hope I have met the level of integrity that is expected of the position afforded me."

You positively say, "So let's move forward and allow a new Speaker and Vice Speaker to shine as the exemplary liaisons we all know they will be.
