Suspended within the glass, two corpse-pale flower buds nestle beside one another, their nascent petals tightly furled. A delicate tracery of lurid carmine veins marks the adder's tongue buds, the incarnadine lines resembling rivulets of fresh blood trickling across ghostly white flesh.
