| Look: | The plump, round body has a short tail and proportionally long legs. Slate grey plumage mantles the upper surfaces, the feathers boasting a high iridescence that, depending upon the lighting, can change the grey to intense shades of purple, blue or green. Creamy white feathers cover its belly and beneath each black-barred wing. A splash of vivid red marks the breast, as though the stuffed bird has been wounded. Diffused, the red hue extends down the belly, furthering the macabre illusion. |
