Valid Spell Target: Players or Creatures
Description: The Halt spell, if the caster's will is strong enough, holds the subject motionless for a brief time. It is useless against dumb beasts, but effective when battling more intelligent creatures, or when one must intercede to prevent a citizen from attacking another citizen unjustly.
Example Messaging: Success: You stare intently at <target>, stopping <him/her> in <his/her> tracks with your gaze.

<Caster> stares intently at you, stopping you in your tracks with <his/her> gaze.

Failure: <Caster> stares at you intently as if trying to stop you in your tracks with his gaze.
<Caster> and <target> stare at each other intently for a few moments.

Restrictions

Paladins must have a minimum soul state to cast this spell.

Notes

  • 8 seconds is the minimum duration of Halt. It is slightly longer than Stun Foe.
  • The maximum duration of Halt is slightly shorter than Stun Foe.
