The holy week of Glythtide lasts for four days.

Beginning on the 32nd day of the month of Skullcleaver, the holiest day of Glythtide is celebrated. This is the time of the harvest of grapes and apples, key components in the making of wine and hard cider. The mead made from the first honey gathered early in the previous year is also ready for drinking. Many jokes and tales are made about how the name Skullcleaver is appropriate to the after effects of the parties of this holiday. Great feasts are held in Halfling communities in His honor. This day is holy to Saemaus as well and all gatherings on this day must begin with toasts to Him. He is said to walk through all parties on this day and encourage mirth and happiness at the festivities. It is common for children to be indulged in honor of Saemaus, especially in Halfling communities, and allowed to play all manner of practical jokes and pranks as long as they are designed to bring humor into the day. Adults often bribe pranksters to leave them alone by gifting them with sweets or some special treat.
