Walls of rough-hewn oak and a dusty oak floor covered by a tasseled cotton rug enclose this small room. In one corner lies a simple stick cot, and near the cot sits a sturdy oak table. A small firepit sits beneath an Estate Holder plaque. The room holds a lingering scent of crabapples.

The shoulders of the hillside shelter a group of cottages secluded in a grove of crabapple trees and willowy shrubs. Above, the path skirts a terrace of meadowlands and fields. A small communal garden fenced by bent willow grows on a flattened area a little farther down the hill.
