A servant nods deferentially as you follow Dragaus out of the room. [Theren Keep, Dais] A few steps or so above the polished marble deck, this raised platform nevertheless grants a commanding presence over the great hall. Glowing braziers flank the Baron's throne, infiltrating the chamber with feeble, reddish light and the pungent smell of burning herbs. Gazing downwards, the hall seems barren and quiet despite its restoration, mourning the ancestral knights, ladies, battle songs, and ballads that echoed through the keep so long ago. You also see a stone pedestal. Also here: Aymeric, Phoenix Neeno, Bastion of Life Karthor, Guard Commander Aaiyaah, Sturm, Soldier Arakar, Squire Elurora, Court Historian Erieck, Savage Gorteous, Court Playwright Saslisena, Kintryn, Unbroken Jeruliath, Sir Madigan, Inquisitor Whiteburn, Ambassador Angel, General Kenamer, Leech Farmer Nithhogr, Maunderer Aislynn, Totally Befuddled Felicini, Mazrian, Merciless Elec, Sylvan Lady Ruea, Daerlynn, Sir Sliayyl, Justiciar Rileos, High Wizard Dasheek, Fiery Doom Zalinyar, Ambassador Elizzibiana, Slum Lord Conduit, Lord Chamberlain Isleif and Baron Gyfford (sitting). A few sun-streaked strands that refuse to be tamed, escape to frame his ruggedly handsome face. Deep-set sapphire eyes are flecked with gold, glinting like the reflected rays of a setting sun on a calm blue sea. His chiseled jaw supports a regal nose and generous mouth. He is wearing a kyanite gwethdesuan, a tailored burgundy velvet doublet with gold-hemmed slashing revealing a ivory linen shirt beneath, a suit of blackened chain mail trimmed with a row of gold links, a glaes signet ring embellished with the crest of House Dunshade, a thumb ring of hammered gold etched with the seal of Therengia, a double-wrapped leather sword belt studded with nightfire opals, a burgundy leather hip pouch with a diamond and opal clasp, some black leather pants and some polished black leather riding boots. Gyfford says, "For those of you who have petitions, please speak quietly with the Chamberlain and we can get started...there's a few things I need to address tonight." Kintryn smiles at Isleif. Arakar shifts his weight. Madigan adjusts his icesteel cuirass. Isleif nods to Karthor. Rileos grasps his chin roughly and jerks it to the side. You hear a loud pop and see him visibly relax. Gyfford says, "Now then....if everyone is settled...there's a few things I'd like to discuss before hearing petitions." Gyfford says, "As most of you may know, and for those who don't." Gyfford says, "Our original Court Bardess was none other than the very talented, Daerlynn." Gyfford says, "She then graciously passed the torch to the lovely Chabelle, who kept us entertained for years." Gyfford nods to Daerlynn. Gyfford says, "Following Chabelle's desire to travel, the theater sat unused for a very long time, until." Daerlynn curtsies gracefully. Gyfford says, "The very charming Ruea took up the challenge and still oversees the Theren Theater Players." Gyfford smiles at Ruea. Gyfford says, "I'm sure there's more entertainment to come, and as such I will be renewing her commission." Ruea smiles at Gyfford. Saslisena flinches. Gyfford stands up. Gyfford says, "Ruea, I'd like you to continue oversight on all matters related to the Theren theater." Gyfford gets a General's badge from inside his sword belt. Gyfford puts on a General's badge. Ruea says to Gyfford, "It would be my honor." Gyfford smiles at Ruea. Gyfford says, "I was hoping you'd say that." Gyfford chuckles. Ruea chuckles. Gyfford places his right hand over his General's badge and it flares with a bright blue light. Removing his hand, the blue light still clinging to it, he places his palm upon Ruea's shoulder. Instantly, she is surrounded by a bright flare of light that quickly fades, revealing a new Court insignia on Ruea's chest. Ruea smiles. Ruea clenches her hand, tapping her fist to her Court insignia. It flares with a bright blue light, the glow streaming from between her fingers. Gyfford stands near a bejeweled throne. Gyfford says to Ruea, "Congratulations...again." Gyfford chuckles. Ruea grins wryly. Ruea says, "I'll celebrate with a play,I think." Gyfford says, "Now then." Gyfford says, "On another matter." Gyfford says, "My schedule has been very hectic and involves several matters, including finalizing wedding plans and continued or waning construction projects." Gyfford gazes off into the distance. Gyfford says, "As you all can probably tell by that lovely new bridge we ... don't have yet." Gyfford frowns. Gyfford says, "Sir Aaiyaah." Aaiyaah grins. Gyfford says, "You have been in my service for decades, including serving as the Lady Athelisa's Champion at one time." Gyfford gazes at Aaiyaah. Aaiyaah grins. Gyfford chuckles. Aaiyaah asks, "A pinch or something?" Angel says to Aaiyaah, "It fits you well Commander. I mean Court Advisor Sir." Gyfford says, "Yes, unfortunately for you, it really is." Gyfford pats Aaiyaah on the back. Aaiyaah sweeps a tyrium great helm off his head and in front of him in a large arc, fluidly stepping backward and bowing to Gyfford at the same time. Aaiyaah stands near Isleif. Gyfford says, "For those of you who have not been in service while we've had a Court Advisor." Gyfford says, "The job is basically for him to be a conduit for the people to ensure their petitions or concerns reach me." Gyfford says, "He's not here to take anyone's authority." Angel says to Aaiyaah, "As the Official Assistant to the Court Advisor, Lady Wyndz, you have large shoes to fill Commander." Angel smiles at Aaiyaah. Aaiyaah grins at Angel. Aaiyaah nods at Angel, obviously agreeing with her views. Gyfford says, "He's always been a loyal servant to the throne and as such, I suspect he'll likely be an open door to all of you." Gyfford says, "Sir Aaiyaah..." Aaiyaah takes a tyrium great helm off his head. Aaiyaah moves a tyrium great helm to his left hand. Gyfford says to Aaiyaah, "I should let you know that will have to step down as Speaker of the Theren Guard." Gyfford says, "But don't let that deter you from further communications with them." Aaiyaah says to Gyfford, "I understand Your Grace. There are many fine leaders in the Order that can continue moving the Order forward." Gyfford says, "I believe that as well." Gyfford nods at Aaiyaah, obviously agreeing with his views. Isleif whispers something to Gyfford. Gyfford says, "And one more thing..." Gyfford chuckles at Isleif. Isleif says, "Saslisena would like to speak." Gyfford nods. Saslisena inhales a great swallow of air. Saslisena slowly empties her lungs. Daerlynn smiles at Saslisena. Erieck gazes at Saslisena. Gyfford gazes at Saslisena. (Saslisena steps forword before she curtsies before Gyfford.) Gyfford gives a gracious nod. Saslisena says, "Your Grace, I plead that you ease a burden on my heart and release me from the role of Court Playwright." Gyfford says, "I'm fairly certain you don't hold the position of Court Playwright and haven't for quite some time." Saslisena gets a Theren Theatre Staff badge displaying the title "MANAGER" from inside a traveling thespian's satchel lettered in gold embroidery with THEREN THEATRE PLAYERS. Erieck raises an eyebrow. Saslisena gets a gold pin engraved with "Theren Theatre Players" in flowing script from inside a traveling thespian's satchel lettered in gold embroidery with THEREN THEATRE PLAYERS. Gyfford says, "You may keep that as a memento." (Daerlynn raises a brow at Gyfford.) Saslisena says, "I am sorry your Grace has decided that. Would you p--." Gyfford nods to Saslisena. Saslisena sighs. Saslisena says, "As you will." Saslisena nods. Gyfford says, "Or I can take it, if it makes you happy." Erieck frowns. Saslisena says, "That is all, thank you, your Grace." Gyfford nods. Gyfford nods to Isleif. Isleif says, "Kintryn would like to speak." Gyfford nods to Kintryn. Kintryn nods politely. Kintryn kneels down before Gyfford. Kintryn fervently says, "Your Grace. I am here today to renew my oath to you, Theren, and the citizenry of Theren. Many years ago as a young girl, I came to Theren, was taken in by the Guard and this was my home. Suddenly I had to leave." Kintryn remorsefully says, "This left a lot of questions unanswered and rumors were started. When I came back, things were not easy. I had to prove myself to the citizenry not just here in Theren but among all of Elanthia and cut through these rumors that be." Gyfford smiles at Kintryn. Gyfford says, "Very well." Gyfford deftly removes the broadsword from his morawen. Kintryn reassuringly says, "Many years ago, I put a promise ring on my finger to symbolize my oath that I originally took. It has never left my finger. Even in the years that I was gone from Theren, have I never forgotten my promise." Gyfford stands up. Kintryn says, "That said,." Gyfford nods to Kintryn. Kintryn humbly says, "Today I offer my fealty to you, Your Grace, Baron Gyfford Theren. I will always remain true, to faithfully serve and protect you, all of the Therengian land, and the citizens that are among us. I promise to serve the Guard with all of my strengths and ability. I promise to live by example to all around me." Kintryn positively says, "My hope is to put the past in the past and move forward with a new chapter." Kintryn says, "That is all." Gyfford says to Kintryn, "Your service is always welcome here, Kintryn." Kintryn smiles at Gyfford. Gyfford taps his broadsword on Kintryn's right shoulder, followed by her left. Gyfford says to Kintryn, "Thank you for your service." Kintryn gazes at Gyfford. Gyfford secures his broadsword to his morawen. It rattles against the steel sabre secured to his morawen, and he adjusts them. Gyfford sits down on the bejeweled throne. Kintryn stands up. Kintryn says, "Thank you, Your Grace." Gyfford nods to Isleif. Kintryn stands near Jeruliath. Daerlynn says, "Oh, and Saslisena... thank you for your service to Therengia as well. As founder of the Players, I thought it needed to be said in this forum. Chabelle appreciated you greatly." Isleif says, "Arakar would like to speak." Daerlynn curtsies to Saslisena. Gyfford nods. Arakar clears his throat. Erieck adds to Daerlynn's praises. Arakar gazes at Gyfford. Arakar snaps to attention and hails Gyfford with a crisp hand salute. Saslisena smiles sadly. Arakar humbly says to Gyfford, "Lord Baron, I am Arakar, a humble soldier, hailing originally from Ilithi, but recently of Rossman's Landing. Thank you for hearing my petition." Arakar matter-of-factly says to Gyfford, "I have noticed upon my stay that the orcs of the area harass pilgrims as they traverse between Rossman's Landing and Therenborough unmercifully." Gyfford nods to Arakar. Arakar emphatically says to Gyfford, "They are bold and the errant adventurers do not seem to whittle down their numbers in any appreciable manner." Gyfford nods at Arakar, obviously agreeing with his views. Arakar humbly says to Gyfford, "I simply request the attentions of some of your troops, for the sake of the people, to make a pass through to help curb this orc menace." Arakar respectfully says to Gyfford, "Thank you for your time and patience, my Lord." Gyfford says, "Of course." Arakar raises his hand in a quick salute. Arakar shifts his weight. Gyfford says, "Troops, you know what to do." Gyfford chuckles. Gyfford says to Arakar, "Thank you for the report." Arakar nods to Gyfford. Gyfford nods to Isleif. Arakar humbly says, "My pleasure." Isleif says, "Karthor would like to speak." Gyfford nods. Karthor says, "Greetings Yer Grace, an' thanks fer this opportunity." Gyfford smiles at Karthor. Karthor says, "It seems there's lately been an increase in crime 'round Langenfirth. Mostly burglaries an' thefts, far's I can tell." Isleif whispers something to Gyfford. Gyfford frowns. Karthor says, "I'd like to ask fer some guards to be assigned to the town to patrol it an' enforce the law." Gyfford says, "I'll consider it." Karthor nods. Karthor says, "Perfect, my thanks." Karthor bows to Gyfford. Gyfford says, "Langenfirth has always been a more wild area compared to Theren proper." Gyfford says, "As most of the Rangers there can probably tell you." Karthor nods in agreement. Gyfford says, "But I will definitely consider it." Isleif nods to Erieck. Gyfford nods to Isleif. Isleif says, "Sir Erieck would like to speak." Gyfford grins at Erieck. Gyfford nods. Erieck says, "Mi'lord Baron..." Erieck bows to Gyfford. Erieck says, "I have been in service to Therengia since before the age of twenty..I an now 107 years of age.." Gyfford says, "Old man." Gyfford nods to Erieck. Gyfford chuckles. Erieck says, "I have committed my life to Theren and her people.." Gyfford says, "You certainly have." Saslisena gazes at Erieck. Erieck says, "And it has been an honor to be of service to the Baron as court historian.." Gyfford nods. Gyfford says, "It's been a pleasure to have you in our service." Erieck says, "But....due to words spoken here earlier I ask that I be released from my position immediately and retire from service.." Erieck gazes at Gyfford. Gyfford says, "Granted." Erieck nods to Gyfford. Erieck says, "Thank you Mi'lord." Gyfford says, "Again, your service has always been appreciated." Daerlynn curtsies to Erieck. Erieck says, "Indeed...as should have other's service as well." Erieck gazes at Saslisena. Gyfford says, "And theirs has as well." Gyfford says, "I certainly have said more than once." Gyfford nods. Erieck says, "Friends...thank you and I am sorry.." Erieck smiles faintly Daerlynn says, "You are a good man, Sir Erieck." Saslisena looks at Erieck and begins to weep softly. (Erieck steps back into the crowd.) Isleif asks, "Does anyone have anything else they'd like to speak about?" Whiteburn nods to Isleif. Isleif says, "Whiteburn would like to speak." Gyfford nods. Whiteburn draws her greatcloak aside, and bows courteously, sweeping her free hand before her. Whiteburn says, "I am heartened to see you well, Your Grace." Whiteburn gazes at Gyfford. Whiteburn says, "I humbly request Your Grace's judgment regarding my recent appeal, that I might serve the Barony and Province in the capacity of Court Cleric." Whiteburn says, "Years past, out of small-minded pride, I committed great offenses against you and your people. I recognize that such crimes may never fully be overlooked, and I understand shouldst I be found wanting in the light of my past." Whiteburn says, "... Nevertheless, I stand before you now, in earnest desire to lend what aid I may to personally serve a just land and her righteous people, by the Holy power vested in me." Whiteburn kneels down before Gyfford. Gyfford nods to Whiteburn. Gyfford says, "Once upon a time, you were little more than a thorn in my side, Whiteburn. You've however come full circle and completely redeemed yourself." Whiteburn bows her head in acknowledgement. Gyfford says, "You've shown that you anyone can come from even the worst of things, to something that requires great fortitude and become something that is very admirable." Gyfford says, "I recognize that and appreciate your honesty." >mychar thinks That sounds like high praise, from someone I've been told can be very hard to please. You think to yourself, "That sounds like high praise, from someone I've been told can be very hard to please." Gyfford says, "It's a valued thing in these times that not everyone can seem to afford." Gyfford says, "Please rise." Gyfford nods to Whiteburn. Whiteburn stands up. Gyfford says, "I did receive your missive and wanted to acknowledge that as well." Gyfford says to Whiteburn, "I'll take it into consideration." Gyfford nods to Whiteburn. Whiteburn says, "I am honored that Your Grace would grant me such consideration." Gyfford says, "You've earned your place here." Gyfford nods to Whiteburn. Whiteburn humbly says, "Thank you." Gyfford asks, "Anyone have anything else?" Whiteburn says, "There is one other matter I wouldst speak of, if such a thing is sound." Gyfford says, "Of course." Gyfford says, "Bearing in mind that I don't know what you're going to discuss." Whiteburn says, "Several days prior, a small contingent of Dragon Priests appeared before those of us attending a modest function held at the Noble Inn in Riverhaven. Though their immediate objective was unclear, their intent to sow discord amongst the residents was evident." Gyfford says, "So I've heard." Whiteburn says, "As the heretics had yet to initiate any sort of violent action, and, uneager as I was to involve the local citizenry in deadly alteraction, I made haste to alert the nearest guardsman of the situation. I was henceforth informed by one of the remaining guests that the insurgents had since abandoned the Inn to locations unknown." Gyfford nods to Whiteburn. Whiteburn says to Gyfford, "One of your guardswomen, Zalinyar, did so impede the heretics with sharp rebuke. Were it not for her unwavering courage in the face of the foe, I may have been unable to locate a warden ere blood had been spilled. Therefore do I commend this woman before Your Grace as a tribute to the stalwart and unshakeable spirit of the Therengian Guard." Whiteburn says, "That is all." Zalinyar looks at Whiteburn and blushes. Gyfford nods to Whiteburn. Gyfford says, "So noted." Gyfford nods to Zalinyar. With a graceful movement of her hands, Zalinyar lowers her head and sinks into a formal curtsy before Gyfford. Gyfford says to Zalinyar, "Your unwavering service is honorable." Zalinyar says to Gyfford, "Thank you Your Grace." Gyfford asks, "And speaking of....does anyone have any further reports on this group?" Gyfford asks, "Are they still threatening our citizens?" Kenamer says, "I do your Grace." Gyfford nods to Kenamer. Kenamer says, "Recently, a joint effort of Guard and shielders have been seeing that your orders to keep these so called priest's out of Therengia." Gyfford nods to Kenamer. Gyfford says, "The joint efforts have been duly noted." Kenamer says, "They continue their efforts to disturbe the peace of the province." Gyfford says, "And again, I can't say enough of your continued service." Gyfford nods to Kenamer. Kenamer nods to Gyfford. Kenamer says, "The Bin in Lang seem's to be a popular target of theirs." Gyfford says, "So I've heard." Kenamer says, "Some ideas have been passed around that any assistance the Keep could offer in making this a safe area would be much appriciated." Kenamer says, "As well as pardons from any of the brigades who fight to keep them at bay." Gyfford says, "Noted, as previously mentioned." Kenamer nods. Kenamer nods to Gyfford. Kenamer says, "That is all my lord." Kenamer bows to Gyfford. Isleif whispers something to Gyfford. Gyfford says, "Thank you all for your service and continued vigilance." Gyfford asks, "Anyone else have anything to report?" Vanzok raises his hand. Gyfford grins at Vanzok. Gyfford motions to Vanzok. >whisper Madigan No one is going to report on the upcoming assault? You whisper to Madigan, "No one is going to report on the upcoming assault?" Vanzok says, "Your Grace. Forgive my tardiness and condition, or any slips of etiquette - it's been a few years since I had any of my classes at the Guild..." Gyfford chuckles. Gyfford says, "I can fix that." Vanzok chuckles. Gyfford chuckles at Vanzok. Madigan whispers, "That would be a really good idea." Gyfford says, "I'm sorry, carryon." Gyfford nods to Vanzok. Vanzok nods. Madigan whispers, "I'll do it." Vanzok says, "To add on to Kenamer's point, if the solution at the Bin ends up being warding it against violence, it would be wise to ensure it's also warded against petty theft. It's a favorite tactic of certain of their group, instigating conflict by picking pockets." Gyfford gives a slight nod. Vanzok says, "They're particularly fond of doing so when safe from reprisal, so Banner of Truce is, ah, unideal." Vanzok says, "That's all I have, your Grace." Vanzok nods to Gyfford. Gyfford says, "I'll take it under consideration and thank you." Madigan raises his hand. Gyfford motions to Madigan. Madigan says, "M'lord, if there is time for another." Madigan smiles warmly. Madigan takes a lumium great helm with a rampant gryphon motif off his head. Madigan says, "Good to see you again m'lord." Gyfford says, "The 'other' old man." Gyfford grins at Madigan. Gyfford says, "And you, Sir Madigan." Gyfford says, "Very good to see you." Madigan says, "I am enjoying being back in service and thank you for taking me back in service." >whisper Madigan And thank him for the warships! You whisper to Madigan, "And thank him for the warships!" Gyfford says, "Always." Gyfford nods to Madigan. Madigan says, "The coalition is set to attack the Lich." Gyfford says, "That's great news." Gyfford says, "Maybe we can finally put this behind us." Madigan says, "I wanted to thank you for the two warships m'lord." Gyfford nods to Madigan. Madigan says, "And, I am honored for all the Therengians that have fought and will fight in the battle." Madigan bows. Madigan says, "Thank you m'lord." >mychar watches the Baron closely for his reactions to the information, obviously an issue of great concern for her. Dantia watches the Baron closely for his reactions to the information, obviously an issue of great concern for her. Gyfford says, "Of course. There wasn't much question about whether we'd send them when the call for help arose." Gyfford says, "As am I." Gyfford nods at Madigan, obviously agreeing with his views. Madigan says, "That is all I had m'lord." Madigan puts a lumium great helm with a rampant gryphon motif on his head. Madigan adjusts his great helm. >whisper Madi Thank you for stepping forward, I appreciate it. You whisper to Madigan, "Thank you for stepping forward, I appreciate it." Gyfford says, "For those of you going to fight, know that the Gods are surely with you and that you will all be in our prayers for a safe return." Madigan mumbles a word of general praise. >smile gyff You smile at Gyfford. Gyfford says, "I almost wish I was going myself." Gyfford says, "Given my fondness for such things." Gyfford chuckles. Madigan says, "That's the spirit m'lord." Whiteburn reverently says, "Praise be." >exhale You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs. Gyfford says, "Again, I can't say enough for your service because mere words certainly won't ever cover that measure of devotion." Gyfford says, "Thank you." Gyfford nods to Isleif. Isleif says, "Mazrian would like to speak." Isleif says, "I hope I didn't miss anyone." Gyfford nods to Mazrian. Gyfford says to Mazrian, "We meet again, mage." Gyfford grins at Mazrian. Mazrian says to Gyfford, "I'm like a bad lirum, my lord. I keep turning back up." Mazrian smiles at Gyfford. Gyfford says, "True that." Gyfford chuckles. Gyfford asks, "But hopefully much wiser this time around, no?" Gyfford smiles at Mazrian. Mazrian says, "I would like to think so." Mazrian coughs. Gyfford says, "Good." Mazrian says, "But I suppose we'll see." Mazrian flashes a quick grin. Gyfford chuckles. Gyfford says, "That's a great start. I hope you didn't work on that approach long." Gyfford chuckles. Mazrian says, "I am grateful to you for hearing a small request. Several years ago, colleagues of mine engaged in some research that culminated in the opening of a portal on the Handsome Plateau." Gyfford nods to Mazrian. Mazrian says, "That portal leads to a section of the Plane of Electricity, and among the many areas of research opened up, it is likely tied somehow to the Suur pillar." Gyfford nods to Mazrian. Mazrian says, "The Gealeranendae College houses an impressive collection of research on the pillar and its surroundings, but that research is not public." Gyfford says, "Interesting." Mazrian says, "I would ask your intercession in gaining access for myself and my colleagues so we can benefit from that work. We will be glad to share anything we glean in return." Mazrian says, "And I am willing to make a substantial donation to the College." Gyfford chuckles. Mazrian says, "Not contingent on their cooperation, of course." Mazrian says, "That would be crass." Mazrian smiles. Gyfford says, "We should talk about this in more detail later...so I'm sure we're in understanding." Gyfford nods to Mazrian. Mazrian says, "Of course, my lord. I will put myself at your disposal." Isleif says, "I may be able to add something to that." Gyfford nods to Isleif. Isleif says, "Mazrian and I share the same guild...for those that aren't aware." Gyfford grins. Mazrian nods in agreement. Gyfford asks, "Anyone have anything else?" Gorteous raises his hand. (Mazrian steps back into the crowd.) Gyfford exclaims, "Great!" Gyfford says, "Then I will thank you all again for your service or continued ......." Gyfford says, "Oh I'm sorry." Gyfford says, "Gorteous." Gyfford motions to Gorteous. Gorteous says, "Thank Your Grace." Gorteous says, "I have but a small request." Gyfford says, "Of course." Gorteous asks, "Some of the Theren Guards and I were talking, out of that conversation it seemed that the prospect of a Trash Bin might be very handy in city?" Gorteous says, "This would aid in keeping the roads clean as well as boxes from those that pick." Gorteous asks, "I wasn't sure if Your Grace might consider this?" Gyfford asks, "Granted....any place that would serve as a good spot?" Gorteous asks, "Perhaps the Quad?" Gyfford says, "Done." Gorteous beams at Gyfford! Gyfford smiles. Gorteous says, "Thank you ever so kindly." Gyfford stands up. Gyfford says, "If no one has anything further, I'd like a moment with Sir Erieck and following that, Sir Aaiyaah and Lady Ruea...if you all have that time that is." Madigan says, "M'lord, something that is not a formal thing." Madigan smiles at Gyfford. Gyfford nods to Madigan. Madigan says, "I would like to introduce you to Dantia." Gyfford says to Madigan, "Of course." Madigan gestures at you. Gyfford says, "Ahh." >smile madigan You smile at Madigan. Gyfford nods graciously at you, giving you a polite smile. Gyfford exclaims, "Excellent!" Madigan says to Gyfford, "Yes, m'lord. Please do not remind her I am just a regular soldier." Gyfford exclaims to Madigan, "And brave too?! Keeper!" Gyfford chuckles. Madigan chuckles. >laugh You laugh! Madigan says, "Good to see you again m'lord and take care." Gyfford grins. >curt You curtsy. Madigan snaps to attention and hails Gyfford with a crisp hand salute. >smile mad You smile at Madigan. Gyfford says, "And you both as well." Gyfford nods. You follow Madigan down. [Theren Keep, Great Hall] Seven columns span the chamber in a vast semi-circle of burnished black marble, the middle three curving around a broad dais while the outer pairs brace high, spectacular balconies. Striking blue-gold banners and silken tapestries proclaim the royal colors of Therengia, but these minor ornaments pale before the tiled dome ceiling and a massive, seven-sided table which dominates the great hall. You also see a small fiery fissure, a swinging deobar door, an ornate gilded birdcage on a jewel-encrusted stand, a well-lit corridor, a flower arch of fairy fern twined with white roses, orange blossoms and stephanotis and some scissor chairs positioned around the table. Also here: Sir Madigan, Justiciar Rileos, Inquisitor Whiteburn, Bastion of Life Karthor, High Wizard Dasheek and Vanzok. Obvious exits: out.
