CONTEXT: This delivery has been facilitated by employees of Hexium Agency, the company operated by Trader Greyhallow Hexium whom Dantia, among others, has retained his services for field operations and miscellaneous tasks. On this morning, 428-8-22, a party of five humans on horseback arrive at Theren Keep. Four of them, clearly armed escorts, stop a short distance from the drawbridge. The fifth thanks them and tosses a coin pouch before riding forward alone. Though dressed far more refined than a typical messenger, and riding an impressively outfitted horse (that’s no paltry palfrey!), he announces himself as a courier. Not waiting for a response from the guards, he produces a single letter from his attaché case bearing the Hexium Agency insignia and confidently states he has a letter that must be delivered to the Lady Athelisa. The letter is written in very precise handwriting, each line of text perfectly straight across the page. The writing is not elegant or fancy, but perhaps there is a beauty in the meticulousness of it all. My Lady Athelisa Ananthor, the future Baroness of Therengia, I hope this letter finds you in good health and positive spirits, as indeed it has lifted mine to finally put these words to paper. My name is Dantia, student of the Empath Guild, War Healer specialty. I am proud to share that I have recently become a signed and sealed citizen of your esteemed province of Therengia. As I'm sure you know, tensions have been building, and we will soon find ourselves in a fight with the Lich Jeihrem and his right-hand demon Sivroch. Through the course of this effort, I have found myself fighting side-by-side with a number of Therengians. Stories abound about the strength and honor of Therengian fighters, but little is said about their kindness and welcoming nature. It was when I was standing on the bow of a boat bound for a stand-off on Hara'Jaal, the largest battle of my life up until that point, surrounded by larger-than-life Therengian names, when I realized that this was -exactly- where I belonged. However, the main purpose for this letter was to reach out to you with an invitation for friendship. Sir Madigan, former member of the Northern Watch, and I are now Promised to one another, which means an engagement and wedding are likely not far off in my own future. As a woman betrothed to your own larger-than-life Therengian, I think we may have quite a bit of common ground between us... And I could certainly use more friends that are -not- soldiers. I can only imagine how busy your days are, but should you find any available time, perhaps we could share tea with one another. Wishing you all the best, Carnage Darling Dantia War Healer of Therengia OOC: It would be really neat if Athelisa hosted a tea party and invited Therengian citizens who are more interested in the social side of court, versus the more normal military interactions. It's a side to Theren that I'd really love to either get involved with if it exists, or start building out! At the bare minimum, I just wanted to open a line of communication with the Keep more in line with my RP rather than writing Amlach or the Baron. Have a great day!
