A young girl delivers a rolled piece of parchment to the Crossing Empath Guild, and is quickly directed to the object of her pursuit, Salvur Siksa. The letter is written in very precise handwriting, each line of text perfectly straight across the page. The writing is not elegant or fancy, but perhaps there is a beauty in the meticulousness of it all.

Khalo rae Wen Salvur,

It has been quite some time since we last spoke, when I would come to you inquiring about moving on to my next Circle. But my time since then has not been wasted; I have been traveling the world, fighting and healing alongside combat groups in need, and proving that a willful Empath is not to be dismissed.

You once told me that you felt like your work was 'playing mother hen to a bunch of soft, peeping chicks who don't know their beaks from their backsides.' I'm writing to you today for two purposes. First, to offer assurance that not all those you have trained over the years remain soft. Some of us listened, learned, and trained as hard (or harder) as our non-Empath brethren. People are starting to take notice of the immovable wall that is an Empath on the battlefield. Where once we may have been dismissed as delicate flowers, tucked 'safely' away in a triage, now combat leaders eagerly ask us to join them on the front lines.

Second, we are quickly moving to war against the Lich, Jeihrem. I'm sure you've read the news accounts and hear the gwethdesuans, but suffice to say that the whole thing is going to come to a head soon. There will be many deaths and even more wounds. Should any up-and-coming Empaths express a desire to learn more about becoming a combat Empath, or show a willingness to participate in this assault, I would welcome you to direct them to me. As you have said, 'we can hold more power than any other guild could care to imagine,' and I mean to to turn some of our peeping chicks into battle-hardened forces - and the sooner the better for us all.
