(Allye makes her way up to a tall stool placed at the front of the crowd and takes a seat on its edge, her legs dangling over the side.)

Allye gets a double-necked cross-strung harp made of both dark finivire and pale diamondwood from inside her harp case.

(Allye places her harp on her lap, cradling the instrument as it leans against her torso.)

Allye says, "I haven't titled it, but as you might expect it's sort of a lullaby."

(Allye bows her head and begins to hum softly. Her quiet voice floats through the air.)

(Allye's lullaby lilts gently, the haunting refrain arching along a minor key as she lifts her hands to her harp.)

Allye smiles to herself as she begins to put words to the tune, plucking the strings on her harp to create a slow, steady harmony.

Allye softly sings in a soprano voice:

"Hear them drifting through the night,
    Fluttered shadows in dark skies,
    Lying breathless, eyes shut tight,
    Don't fear their secret gaze."

(Allye's voice clings to the last notes of the verse, drawing them out and into the next stanza.)

Allye sings in a soprano voice:

   "Crawl into your cozy bed,
A pillow 'neath your weary head,
    Darkness cloaks a rustled tread,
That finds you as I leave."

(Allye bends over the instrument as her fingers glide over the harp's strings, the melody swelling louder and increasingly intricate.)

Allye sings in a soprano voice:

   "Safe, safe in my arms,
    Something you'll yearn to feel."

(Allye lifts her head, her eyes closed, as the song's complexity falls away to reveal the gently plucked harmony of the next verse.)

Allye sings in a soprano voice:

"Dancing 'round you in your dreams,
    Whispered voices tug your seams,
    Closing in are memories,
I send for you to keep."

(Allye rocks subtly with the pace of her song, her eyes cast down over the harp as her fingers skim the instrument's strings.)

Allye sings in a soprano voice:

   "Underneath the silvery moon,
They wrap you in a soft cocoon,
Reminders that I'll hold you soon,
    One day, when we awake."

(Allye's voice fades to a whisper, the final plucked notes lingering in the air as the strings vibrate, untouched.)
