[Empaths' Guild, Courtyard Garden]
Open to the sky, this spot is sheltered from the worst of the weather and elements by a rich cedar arbor. In the center of the courtyard, a small fountain, filled with the darting forms of tiny fish, babbles to itself. Several elaborately-carved cedar benches are placed at one edge of the garden, directly across from a cushioned swing hanging from the arbor by wrought iron chains. A riot of seasonal plants compete for the attention of those who pass here, and a whispering willow tree looms overhead as if creating a protective mantle. You also see a rock, a leaf, a rock, a rock, an ethereal vela'tohr plant, a rock, a spruce stick, a rock, a rock, a small stone firepit, a simple covered sideboard with several things on it, an Empath renown scroll, some shallow stone stairs, a marble statue of an elegant Elven woman carrying a shallow basin in her arms, a large vela'tohr plant and a silver tea cart with several things on it.
Also here: Observer Amailia, Avatar of Summoning Valenal, Mathematician Avrenka, Lifeguard Lushk, Lord Knight Bryinn, Primblade, Heart Tender Kethrai who is sitting, Life Weaver Ysilda, Healer Leilanie, Pratau, Sclerotia, Dissident Sujuroit, Holy Blade Xenxeth who is lying down, Dragon of Tyrium Adamantavious who is attended by a phantasmal violet dragon comprised of luminous aetheral mists and Web Healer Zanaide who is lying down.
Obvious paths: northeast, east, west, down, out.

Kethrai smiles.

Valenal says to Avrenka, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Avrenka."

Valenal inhales a great swallow of air.

Avrenka asks Valenal, "To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Valenal quietly says to himself, "Ok, that was better. You've got this."

Valenal glances at a braided lead rope.

Valenal tries to eat a braided lead rope.

Valenal says, "This is, ah, very good rope."

Valenal fidgets nervously.

Avrenka picks up a rock.

Amailia ponders.

You see Avatar of Summoning Valenal, Elemental Conduit of Elanthia, a Human.
Valenal has a round face, savant milky white eyes and a small nose. He has cropped snow-white-streaked red-gold hair, with weathered skin and an athletic build.
He is average height for a Human.
 He appears to be young.
He has a thin sparse mustache on his upper lip and a thin patchy beard.
 He is in good shape.
He is holding a braided lead rope in his right hand.

He is wearing a deeply-hooded burlap cloak, a heavily scarred arcanist's belt, some rugged black leather boots weathered with scorch-marks, some conjured armor of raw segmented metal
 plates and some faded pants.

Avrenka says, "Yes, almost as tasty as this rock."

Valenal firmly says, "But we can talk food later."

Xenxeth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

You rub an ethereal vela'tohr plant.

You squint at an ethereal vela'tohr plant.

Valenal says, "By now, your mana sensitives must have noticed the dangerous energy imbalance expressing itself as magical oddity in the Plane of Abiding."

A swirling vortex of brilliant light spins across the area.
Raw energies rupture near Zanaide, leaving her looking pale and drained.

You tap into the energies of the mana surge in an attempt to bend it to your purpose. As you take all you can from the mana surge, you begin to feel strangely empowered.
A strong mana surge is abruptly erased from existence!

Kethrai says, "Yes, like that."

Avrenka nods.

You flash a quick grin.

Leilanie smiles at you.

Valenal exclaims, "Yes, precisely!"

Xenxeth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Valenal says to himself, "Ok, we have common ground. Just stick with it."

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Valenal.

Valenal says, "This is the result of a net outflow of energy from this Plane to somewhere else."

The vela'tohr plant suddenly shudders, rapidly unwinding its tendrils from around its base stalk. They begin wavering in the air, searching for any who may pose a threat.

Valenal says, "It happens in small, discrete chunks."

You arch your eyebrow.

Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Valenal.

Diva Iryta just arrived.

The empowerment from the mana surge leaves you.

Iryta blinks.

Leilanie leans over and whispers, "He is a very strange man...or something else."

Iryta waves to you.

Avrenka asks, "Do each discrete chunk correspond to a specific action?"

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Leilanie.

Valenal says, "Detectable as perturbations in the aethereal matrix around the planar boundary and in a net-outflow of energy from the elemental planes that partially compensates."

You whisper to Leilanie, "What kind of something else do you suspect?"

You wave to Iryta.

Iryta comes and stands near you.

Valenal says to Avrenka, "It is believed so, yes."

Iryta whispers, "is he.. a HERALD?"

Avrenka asks Valenal, "The action being...?"

Iryta glances at Valenal.

Love's Future Witterwell just arrived.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

Kethrai asks, "Partially compensates, but not fully? Is that why the effects are getting worse?"

Amailia says, ".... This is going over my head, so I'm just going to nod."

Amailia nods.

You whisper to Iryta, "Uncertain..."

War Healer Rejind just arrived.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

Iryta stretches out a hand imploringly to Rejind.

Leilanie leans over and whispers, "I am not exactly sure but he seems to be "playing" a human. Just watch for a moment. He tries to eat rope like its food and talks to himself very nervously"

Rejind bows to Valenal.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

The globe-like heart of the vela'tohr plant lets off a soft golden glow as its pure white flowers begin to open wider, coming into full bloom.

Iryta nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Valenal says to himself, "Ok, ok, queue up the questions...don't get overhwelmed."

You whisper to Leilanie, "Oh my. That does sound suspicious."

Valenal inhales a great swallow of air.

Valenal fidgets nervously.

Leilanie smiles at Valenal.

Valenal hesitantly asks, "Can I take these one at a time?"

You whisper to Iryta, "He certainly does seem to be an odd human, if he is a human."

Avrenka says, "Of course."

Leilanie nods.

Avrenka says, "First in, first out."

Iryta nods to you.

Valenal fidgets nervously.

Kethrai nods in agreement.

You nod at Valenal, in complete agreement with his views.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

Valenal says to himself, "That is a sensible protocol."

Kethrai says, "Standard Human question-answering order."

You nod at Kethrai, in complete agreement with his views.

Iryta looks at Kethrai, obviously trying not to grin, but the dimples in her cheeks give her away.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

Iryta sits down on the cushioned swing.

Valenal says, "Yes, through...ah..observation...it has been determined that spell casting is associated with each outflow."

Valenal says, "And, in some cases, but fewer, with an inflow."

You tilt your head with a curious expression.

Valenal says, "But that is harder to track from ou...ah...my investigations."

Kethrai gives a slight nod.

Avrenka nods.

Iryta cocks her head at Valenal.

Avrenka says, "Next, Kethrai's question."

Witterwell sings in a sopranino voice:
 "The flow goes in
 The flow goes out
 The magic goes pfft
 And your arms fall off."

Valenal says, "Yes, right, ok."

Iryta blinks at Witterwell.

Kethrai observes Witterwell with fascination.

Valenal says to Witterwell, "That was...on point, actually."

Iryta says to Witterwell, "Excellent timing."

Witterwell nods to Valenal.

Witterwell curtsies gracefully.

You giggle at Witterwell.

Witterwell melodiously says, "Why thank you."

Witterwell melodiously says, "I do try."

Witterwell grins, revealing her dimples.

Avrenka praises Witterwell.

Witterwell grins at Avrenka, her dimples flashing into view.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

A single pure white flower detaches from the vela'tohr plant, swirling lightly to the ground.

Valenal says to Kethrai, "You asked whether the net outflow of energy is why effects are getting worse, paraphrasing a little bit."

Iryta picks up a pure white vela'tohr flower.

Valenal asks, "Did I accurately grasp the intent of your question?"

Xenxeth gestures.
A lucent sphere glistens around Xenxeth.
A crash of shattering glass echoes through the area. You are overcome by a sense of wrongness.

Your spell cannot maintain itself in this magically inert area.
The tingling across your body diminishes as you feel the motes of energy fade away.

Iryta winces.

Kethrai sighs.

Kethrai says to Valenal, "Yes."

Your tail undulates lazily through the air.

Valenal nods to Kethrai.

Valenal says, "In that case, the answer is yes. The total energy circulating in the planar system considered non-locally should remain stable over time."

Avrenka asks Valenal, "Has there been a specific energy type identified associated with the outflow and with the inflow?"

Valenal says, "With local fluctuations in energy density depending on various metaphysical factors."

You nibble on your lip.

Avrenka says, "One would hope energy is non-locally stable."

Avrenka chuckles.

Iryta nods to Avrenka.

Iryta grins, revealing her dimples.

Witterwell melodiously says, "I'm locally unstable."

Kethrai says, "Be pretty terrible if it was instable non-locally."

Xenxeth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Witterwell nods emphatically.

Valenal says, "Well, it's a lot of math...."

Iryta says, "Oh no we cant have that."

Iryta shakes her head at you.

Avrenka grins.

You grin at Iryta.

Avrenka says, "Math is my language."

Iryta says to Avrenka, "And my nemesis."

Kethrai guzzles down some of his coffee and then smacks his lips and wipes them with his sleeve.

Iryta shudders.

Leilanie nods at Iryta, obviously agreeing with her views.

Xenxeth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Witterwell licks a rainbow-swirled lollipop.

You gaze down at the ground.

Iryta quietly asks Leilanie, "Did we just become best friends?"

Iryta gazes down at the ground.

Leilanie nods emphatically at Iryta.

Kethrai gazes silently at Valenal.

Avrenka gazes down at the ground.

Iryta lays her palms against Leilanie's in a quick, yet deliberate movement.

The base stalk of the vela'tohr plant suddenly jerks back, as if startled. Its tendrils rise rapidly into the air, swirling about in a blurry green shield before it. Before long, the tendrils are simply tangled with each other!
The vela'tohr plant hisses in frustration!

Leilanie lays her palms against Iryta's in a quick, yet deliberate movement.

Rejind rubs an ethereal vela'tohr plant.

Kethrai sighs.

Kethrai stands up.

With a concerned look, Kethrai begins the daunting task of unwinding the vela'tohr plant's mass of tangled tendrils. After a good deal of grunting and careful unweaving, he succeeds in freeing the plant creature from its own bonds!
The vela'tohr plant's tendrils begin to waver about in the air in satisfaction, nuzzling Kethrai affectionately.

Valenal matter-of-factly says, "And so as you can clearly see, it follows that spellcasting displaces energy but doesn't remove it from the system, when done in-realm."

Xenxeth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Witterwell licks a rainbow-swirled lollipop.

Iryta smiles at Kethrai, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Iryta ponders.

Avrenka says, "Fascinating."

You notice as a grey cat prances into the area.

The grey cat begins to watch the goings on carefully.

Iryta pets the grey cat.

The grey cat sits down.

Avrenka says, "Excuse me one moment."

Mathematician Avrenka goes out.

Valenal says, "However, when the frequencies of different mana types, to use a simplification, interact, they can create an energetic resonance that pulls energy from the void and adds a small contribution to the system."

Mathematician Avrenka just arrived.

Avrenka drops a rock.

(Valenal say continues to lecture, obvlivious to whether his audience is following along)

Rejind asks Valenal, "So sorcery adds to the total energy in the system, in small amounts?"

Avrenka raises his palms skyward, chanting.

Witterwell takes a bite of the lollipop.

Kneeling down, Avrenka draws a baffling fractal pattern with ebony chalk.

Avrenka's ebony chalk design erupts, transforming into a pattern of glowing white lines!

The pure white flowers sprouting about the translucent golden heart of the vela'tohr plant continue to wane, their petals creeping ever-so-slowly inward.

(Allye squints alternately at the diagram on the ground and at Valenal, attempting to follow along.)

Avrenka's glowing white ritual burns away, leaving no sign of its former presence.

Avrenka puts his packet in his black backpack.

Avrenka gazes into the distance, eyes unfocused.

(Kethrai focuses on the speaker rather than the unintelligible diagrams.)

(Iryta peers down at the dirt drawing, puzzling the puzzle.)

Valenal says to Rejind, "Yes! Exactly. In the long run, this is balanced by certain negligable outflows that you could call evaporation, for lack of a better term."

Avrenka says to himself, "Time to invoke Braun's Conjecture to make sense of this ..."

Iryta says to Avrenka, "That's Moonie-speak right."

Kethrai says, "But... You said that there was a net out-flow, not in-flow."

Valenal says, "The result is a net energy balance that is stable accross the entire system."

Valenal nods to Kethrai.

Kethrai asks, "Is that caused my something else?"

Valenal exclaims to Kethrai, "Correct!"

You notice as a spotted storm-grey lynx with piercing blue eyes pads into the area.

The storm-grey lynx begins to watch the goings on carefully.

You say, "Ooh."

Valenal quietly says to himself, "Ok, ok, you're doing fine.."

Rejind ponders.

Iryta says to Kethrai, "10 points to Empath Guild."

Leilanie nods at Valenal, obviously agreeing with his views.

Iryta kindly says, "You are doing just fine."

Iryta smiles at Valenal, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Valenal says to Kethrai, "It is indeed caused by something else."

Witterwell melodiously says, "Pretty sure if you're completely soused it'll make more sense."

Witterwell nods emphatically.

Iryta says to Witterwell, "Soused you say."

Iryta rummages through a sleek crossbody messenger's satchel fastened with ghostly mistglass hardware searching with intent, but it quickly becomes apparent she's not got a clue where to look.

Valenal tries to eat a braided lead rope.

Iryta gets a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler from inside her messenger's satchel.

You say, "Something else..."

Malice Inouvu just arrived.

You nibble your lip thoughtfully.

Witterwell melodiously says, "Yep completely blitzed out of your gourd."

Witterwell nods.

Iryta shakes her head at Valenal.

Rejind says to Valenal, "But if sorcery and the interaction of different frequencies of mana cause a net inflow...what is happening to make the outflow so high? The net out should equal, or nearly equal, the net in if the system were to remain balanced."

Kethrai offers Valenal a smoked salmon and dill tea sandwich.

Grinning, Iryta pulls a swig from a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Valenal accepts Kethrai's tea sandwich.

Iryta says to Witterwell, "On it."

Rejind says, "It sounds almost as if we are 'leaking' energy out of our plane."

Witterwell grins at Iryta, her dimples flashing into view.

Avrenka says, "So in-realm casting displaces energy, sorcery negligible adds energy that evaporates and becomes neutral."

Witterwell melodiously says, "Lets see... what to drink."

Valenal asks Kethrai, "Is this a .. hat?"

Primblade just arrived.

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

Leilanie smiles at Valenal.

Witterwell opens a traveler's liquor cabinet with silverwood panels and gold fittings.

Iryta praises Witterwell.

Witterwell rummages through a traveler's liquor cabinet with silverwood panels and gold fittings with a frantic look of loss.

Witterwell grins at Iryta, her dimples flashing into view.

Leilanie says to Valenal, "You eat it."

(Valenal tries to place the sandwhich on his head, then looks at Kethrai expectantly.)

Leilanie nods.

Iryta appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Kethrai nods to Leilanie.

Iryta says, "Exactly."

Iryta nods to Valenal.

Witterwell melodiously says, "Oh absinthe that should help."

Xenxeth bows his head and chants catechisms.

Kethrai says, "It's hat-shaped food, an easy mistake to make."

Iryta offers Valenal a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Leilanie gives you a slight nod.

Witterwell melodiously says, "Nah... rum ... rum makes everything better."

Iryta nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Rejind offers Witterwell a bottle of yesterday's absinthe.

Witterwell gets a coffee-crammed ceramic banana partly unpeeled to create a naturally formed handle from inside a traveler's liquor cabinet with silverwood panels and gold fittings.

Valenal says to himself, "You did not bring enough hands."

Iryta says to Witterwell, "Do not take anything from him."

Witterwell melodiously says, "Nah I got banana rum."

Witterwell grins at Rejind, her dimples flashing into view.

Avrenka asks, "So .. if there's too much outflow ... wouldn't the solution be ... mor esorcery?"

Avrenka ponders.

Iryta just nudged Rejind.

Valenal exclaims to Avrenka, "Likely!! Yes!!"

Valenal beams at Avrenka!

Valenal takes a bite of the sandwich.

Avrenka says, "Fascinating."

Witterwell melodiously asks Iryta, "Whyzat?"

Grinning, Witterwell pulls a swig from a coffee-crammed ceramic banana partly unpeeled to create a naturally formed handle.

Iryta points at Avrenka.

Rejind says to Avrenka, "Mm, not if the reason for the outflow was ALSO sorcery-related."

Valenal exclaims to Kethrai, "Oh, this is GOOD!"

Iryta says to Avrenka, "That researcher guy will not like that."

Kethrai says to Valenal, "You can put the rope on the floor until you need it again."

Valenal beams at Kethrai!

Grinning, Witterwell pulls a swig from a coffee-crammed ceramic banana partly unpeeled to create a naturally formed handle.

Kethrai says, "It's a useful trick when you need hands."

Grinning, Iryta pulls a swig from a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Witterwell gazes intently into her sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Valenal says to himself, "Objects placed on surfaces will remain until acted on otherwise."

Avrenka quietly says to Iryta, "Hush, ixnay on the esearcheray."

Iryta giggles at Kethrai.

Valenal drops a braided lead rope.

Iryta covers her mouth with her hand.

Grinning, Witterwell pulls a swig from a coffee-crammed ceramic banana partly unpeeled to create a naturally formed handle.

Valenal nods to Kethrai.

Witterwell grins slowly.

Amailia says, "Well. This is something. We got a guy that is team sorcery and another guy that is team no sorcery."

Leilanie nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Iryta nods to Avrenka.

Amailia smirks.

Witterwell casually runs the tip of her tongue over the point of one of her loveglass fangs, somehow managing to appear both threatening and seductive at the same time.

Witterwell puts her banana in a swirling eddy of incandescent light bound by a gold-striated coralite frame.

Leilanie looks at you, obviously trying not to grin.

Rejind asks Valenal, "Do you have any idea what might be causing our larger-than-it-should-be energy outflow?"

Iryta says, "Team mango sparkler is recruiting."

Tempest Knight Saragos just arrived.

Iryta taps a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler that she is holding.

Witterwell hums cheerfully to herself.

Valenal hesitantly says, "I... I think I may need someone to recap the conversation that occurred while I was figuring out sandwhiches."

Witterwell melodiously says, "Banana fosters rum."

Iryta waves to Saragos.

Kethrai nods at Rejind, obviously agreeing with his views.

Witterwell nods to Iryta.

Valenal takes a bite of the sandwich.

Saragos gazes at Valenal.

Xenxeth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Iryta observes Saragos with fascination.

Iryta stands up.

Avrenka asks Valenal, "If sorcery causes slight outflows, what kind of magic causes inflows?"

Valenal says to Saragos, "Ah, hello, fellow Human Warrior Mage."

Valenal beams!

Saragos nods to Valenal.

Iryta appears to be trying hard not to grin.

You giggle.

Valenal ponders.

Valenal says, "I will try to recap."

You cover your mouth with your hand.

Iryta winks at you.

Amailia says to Saragos, "I'm sorry about what happened to your wife, I hope we can find her soon."

Leilanie takes a sip of her tea.

Avrenka asks, "Apologies, I meant to say inflows, what kind of magic causes outflows?"

Saragos nods to Amailia.

Valenal nods to Avrenka.

Saragos says to Amailia, "Thanks."

Valenal says, "Oh, ok! I can pick up with that."

Amailia nods to Saragos.

Valenal says to Avrenka, "Absolutely nothing in the model should account for outflows of that nature."

Valenal exclaims, "Isn't it exciting!"

Iryta grins weakly.

Avrenka says, "Truly exciting."

Kethrai says, "Groundbreaking."

Iryta says, "..Explosive sometimes."

With a waver like a mirage, Reriyn fades into view.

Valenal takes a bite of the sandwich.

Rejind asks Valenal, "So we're leaking energy out of our plane, and y'all haven't seen this kind of thing before?"

Valenal takes a bite of the sandwich.

Iryta shudders.

Valenal takes a bite of the sandwich.

Valenal takes a bite of the sandwich.

Avrenka asks Valenal, "Have you detected a significant outflow or inflow event last night?"

Grinning, Iryta pulls a swig from a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Kethrai picks up a braided lead rope.

Avrenka says to Kethrai, "Save that for later, it's a tasty treat."

Leilanie wrinkles her nose.

Iryta nods to Kethrai.

Valenal says, "Let me rearrange these sets so they make sense."

Valenal ponders.

Kethrai nods to Valenal.

Saragos asks, "So you think Sorcery is the solution. You think that'd help the issues with the Elemental Mana replenishment cycle?"

Valenal hesitantly says, "Well. It's a multivariate sort of problem."

The stringy green vines branching outward from the vela'tohr plant waver lazily about in the air, basking happily in the daylight.

You ponder.

Saragos nods to Avrenka.

Valenal says, "Not every spell is associated with a net inflow our outflow. Every sorcerous spell is associated with an inflow."

Valenal says, "Some normal casts...many more recently... are associated with outflows."

Saragos asks, "Inflow of what into where?"

Avrenka says, "Fascinating."

Iryta blinks.

Rejind asks, "Is it known what kind of spells specifically are associated with outflows, or is it apparently random?"

Rejind says to Saragos, "Energy from the void into our plane."

Saragos asks, "Mana into the Plane of Abiding?"

Iryta says, "I doubt its random."

Saragos asks, "From the Void?"

Saragos blinks.

You ponder.

Witterwell sits down on the cushioned swing.

Rejind nods to Saragos.

You ask, "Was that specified?"

Kethrai nods to you.

Valenal says, "Of Energy into the plane of abiding, yes."

Avrenka asks Valenal, "If normal casts result in an outflow, then why would casting sometimes feel like one is exploding with attunement to the point of incineration?"

Saragos says to Valenal, "What kind of Energy? Certainly not one of the four mana types."

Leilanie takes a sip of her tea.

Witterwell takes a bite of the popcorn.

Iryta grins at Witterwell, her dimples flashing into view.

Witterwell grins at Iryta, her dimples flashing into view.

Saragos puts his talisman in his firesilk tote.

Saragos gets a purpleheart humidor inlaid with a silver ophidian devouring its own tail from inside a crackling eddy of seething blue light arcing from a lumium torus.

Saragos gets an elegant silver-foiled cigarillo from his purpleheart humidor.

Kethrai quietly says, "Let's allow time for answers. Like all Humans, he only has the one mouth."

Saragos puts his humidor in a crackling eddy of seething blue light arcing from a lumium torus.

Leilanie nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Avrenka nods in agreement.

Saragos touches a silver-foiled cigarillo with a glowing finger, and it quickly catches fire.

Valenal pauses for a moment, rubbing his head and fidgeting.

Saragos moves a burning silver-foiled cigarillo to his right hand.

Leilanie says to Valenal, "Just breathe."

Leilanie nods.

Iryta offers Valenal a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Avrenka says, "And breathe out of course."

Valenal accepts Iryta's mango sparkler.

Iryta says, "I promise this will help."

Valenal sniffs at a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Saragos's silver-foiled cigarillo glows faintly as it burns down.

Valenal tries to eat a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Saragos takes a long drag off of a burning silver-foiled cigarillo.

Saragos allows a line of smoke to rise from his mouth. The scent of Warm Night follows the image.

Valenal asks Iryta, "And I do...what...with this?"

Iryta says, "You drink that with your mouth."

Valenal shakes his mango sparkler!

Witterwell melodiously exclaims, "Guzzle it!"

Grinning, Valenal pulls a swig from a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Valenal blinks.

Leilanie wrinkles her nose.

Saragos quietly says, "Cute."

Kethrai takes a sip of his coffee.

Iryta gives Witterwell a gentle poke in the ribs.

Witterwell giggles at Iryta.

Witterwell gazes intently into her sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Valenal hesitantly says, "Smooth."

Iryta says to Saragos, "He's clearly nervous. That's liquid courage."

Witterwell shakes her head as if clearing it.

Valenal gazes at his sparkler.

Witterwell melodiously says, "See! It's good for you."

Leilanie takes a sip of her tea.

Witterwell takes a bite of the popcorn.

Valenal slowly empties his lungs.

Witterwell hums cheerfully to herself.

Valenal says, "Alright. Let's...um...purge the stack, could we? I will answer what I can in the time I have."

Valenal says, "And I must ask some questions of you as well."

You nod to Valenal.

Valenal asks, "Does that sound acceptable?"

Avrenka nods.

Witterwell melodiously exclaims, "Questions are fun!"

Iryta nods.

Kethrai nods to Valenal.

Saragos says, "I've got different priorities than theorizing, so I'll get this question out and then leave you all to theorizing."

Avrenka asks Valenal, "I have one final question for you. Are you familiar with the name ... Liraxes?"

You say, "It does."

Tiny puffs of smoke rise from Saragos's silver-foiled cigarillo as it burns.

Iryta glances at Avrenka.

Iryta glances at Valenal.

Saragos asks Valenal, "You ever known any forces who hate Sorcery to kidnap anyone? Extraplanarly?"

You gaze at Saragos.

Saragos takes a long drag off of a burning silver-foiled cigarillo.

Valenal blinks.

Saragos exhales some tobacco smoke. A faintly perfumed aroma wafts from a pale lavender plume of smoke, carrying with it the scent of mulled wine.

Leilanie tilts her head, clearly curious about something.

Valenal says to himself, "How do I parse..."

The half-open faint violet petals of the vela'tohr plant's flowers flutter lightly in the breeze.

You cock your head at Valenal.

Witterwell takes a bite of the popcorn.

Lazy curls of smoke drift off of Saragos's silver-foiled cigarillo.

Leilanie takes a sip of her tea.

Iryta shakes her head as if clearing it.

Witterwell folds her arms across her chest.

Valenal slowly says, "Extraplanar kidnapping would be, theoretically, very, very difficult. For a lot of reasons both mathematical and practical."

Saragos's silver-foiled cigarillo glows faintly as it burns down.

Raven's Blade Rifkinn just arrived.

Rifkinn sheathes his felwood halberd.

Iryta asks, "What about Astral?"

Iryta cocks her head at Valenal.

Leilanie takes a sip of her tea.

Saragos asks Valenal, "Focus instead of the how on the who. You know anyone or anything who would do that?"

Rifkinn asks, "Is a healer avalible?"

Rifkinn casually observes the area.

Valenal says, "To distill the problem into something with a practical answer, only an entity or entities with a lot of influence could manage such a thing."

Kethrai touches Rifkinn with a confident grace and heartfelt smile.

Leilanie lays her hand on Rifkinn's arm.

Valenal ponders.

Leilanie takes a sip of her tea.

Witterwell gazes intently into her sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Kethrai says to Rifkinn, "All better."

Iryta says, "That drink I gave you was distilled, too."

Iryta nods to Valenal.

Valenal hesitantly says, "The Heralds could accomplish that, no question. The Immortals could, of course, if it were set up the right way."

Saragos nods to Valenal.

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Valenal.

Rifkinn nods to Kethrai.

Avrenka says, "Fascinating."

Iryta ponders.

Valenal says, "And several extra-planar creatures could, with the right window of access."

Avrenka says to Saragos, "Try not to blow up the Realms to get to them."

Iryta says, "Several."

You ask, "Of those options, which could turn off our access to magic at will?"

Valenal says, "I think it would be safe to say that whoever is stealing energy was likely behind the kidnappings, too."

Rejind ponders.

Avrenka says, "Ah hah..."

Rejind says, "The Heralds wouldn't need to be stealing our energy."

Iryta nods to Rejind.

Rejind says, "Nor would the Immortals."

Saragos says to Valenal, "Well, super suspicious Human Warrior Mage. You seem to want to promote Sorcery. I'm currently very mad at some anti-Sorcery forces because they've kidnapped my wife and others. So it might come to the point that some serious activity might be needed to get their attention."

Iryta asks, "Maybe someone who needs it to enter the Plane of Abiding?"

Rifkinn asks, "Stealing energy... kidnappings.... those Magic Users up to their hijinx, eh?"

Tiny puffs of smoke rise from Saragos's silver-foiled cigarillo as it burns.

Amailia observes Saragos with fascination.

Saragos says, "So I'll be in Arhat's Tower. You want to actually share any of the good stuff. The GOOD stuff, mind. I'll listen."

Saragos takes a long drag off of a burning silver-foiled cigarillo.

Miyuka just arrived.

Kethrai takes a sip of his coffee.

Saragos blew smoke in Valenal's face. Harsh!

Iryta blinks.

Saragos says, "Keep in touch."

Valenal hesitantly says to Saragos, "...Ok? I mean, Sorcery is likely to...oh hey, a new smell."

Tempest Knight Saragos strides out.

Valenal blinks.

Amailia says, "Um, wow."

Iryta shakes her head.

Valenal yells, "Thank you for letting me smell that."

Iryta says, "Oh dear..."

Witterwell giggles.

Valenal yells, "It was very nice."

Rejind asks Valenal, "Sorcery is likely to do what?"

Leilanie looks at you, obviously trying not to grin.

Iryta says, "He's ... big on sharing."

Iryta pats Valenal on the back.

You giggle at Leilanie.

Valenal nods at Iryta, obviously agreeing with her views.

Leilanie grins.

Kethrai says to Valenal, "You've been generous with your time, and you said you had questions for us."

Valenal slowly empties his lungs.

Rifkinn asks, "Is anyone here a Cleric, by chance?"

Inouvu nods to Rifkinn.

The spindly green arms of the vela'tohr plant stretch out to their furthest limits in search of something that you cannot begin to venture a guess at.

Rifkinn whispers something to Inouvu.

Miyuka bows her head and chants a prayer.

Valenal says to Kethrai, "There is a massive transfer of energy being accomplished in tiny quanta."

Iryta ponders.

Iryta sits down on the cushioned swing.

Iryta grins at Witterwell, her dimples flashing into view.

Valenal says, "According to no pattern or function that can be ascertained."

Valenal shakes his head as if clearing it.

Iryta pushes with her feet, causing the swing to sway from the arbor with a rhythmic creaking noise.

Witterwell scoots over a little closer to Iryta.

Witterwell hums cheerfully to herself.

Rifkinn whispers something to Inouvu.

Valenal says, "Yet it continues to happen. It follows that it is not due to a natural process."

Witterwell gazes intently into her sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

You gaze at Valenal.

Valenal says, "So someone is STEALING energy."

Rifkinn looks over Valenal very closely.

Amailia says, "Stealing..."

Amailia ponders.

Valenal says, "Removing."

Valenal ponders.

Iryta asks, "To what end?"

Valenal asks Iryta, "That is a great question! Are you an investigator?"

Iryta says, "Often."

Kethrai appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Rifkinn nods to Inouvu.

Shavay just arrived.

Valenal beams at Iryta!

Leilanie smiles.

Rifkinn whispers something to Inouvu.

Scarabella just arrived.

Leilanie glances up at the sky.

Scarabella smiles.

Valenal says, "Identify the motive and the means and you have the perpetrator, I believe."

Iryta asks, "The people who were taken.. they are masters at their magic manipulation. Would someone trying to take energy need them perhaps to strengthen that?"

Shavay leans on you.

Valenal ponders.

Rifkinn asks, "Who was taken?"

You lean over and scratch Shavay's back.

Rifkinn casually observes the area.

Shavay closes his eyes and makes a sound of contentment that resembles purring in the back of his throat.

Rifkinn nods to Inouvu.

Scarabella asks, "Any healers working on taking wounds mind getting mine?"

You say, "Miskton, Navesi, Dantia, Mazrian, and Ayrell."

Iryta nods to you.

Leilanie nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Shavay asks, "How's it going?"

Iryta rubs her hands together.

Inouvu ponders.

Scarabella shivers briefly as wounds and traces of battle abruptly vanish from her body.

Rifkinn asks, "And they were called "masters"?"

Scarabella beams at Rejind!

Rifkinn chuckles to himself.

Shavay says, "Navesi is one of them? Ooh, this'll make a great article."

Valenal hesitantly says, "I don't believe so. Whatever entity is intervening is able to do so in contravention of all the established metaphysics that should govern such an act."

Iryta rolls her eyes.

Amailia says to Rifkinn, "They are being kept in some kind of magical cell."

Iryta nods to Valenal.

Rifkinn lets out a loud "Huzzah!"

Iryta says to Amailia, "He is the last person to care about that."

Rifkinn says, "With a little luch. they might stay there."

Avrenka asks, "If we were to increase our sorcery casting to increase the inflows of energy, would that open the opportunity to whoever is stealing energy to steal more energy?"

The globe-like heart of the vela'tohr plant lets off a soft golden glow as its faint violet flowers begin to open wider, coming into full bloom.

You say to Shavay, "We must see her safe return first, I'm afraid."

Valenal says, "And there are only a few entities that fit that bill. The Heralds. The Immortals. Possibly some extraplanar actors, but...to have such breadth of access..."

Shavay says, "Oh, that'll be easy."

Valenal shakes his head at Avrenka.

Shavay says, "No one can keep Navesi from what she wants to do."

You grin at Shavay.

You say, "Very true."

Kethrai asks, "They would need a way through the Bulwark?"

Amailia says to Shavay, "This is true."

Iryta says to Rifkinn, "You are absolutely welcome... to see yourself out if this subject bores you."

Shavay says, "Go ahead and try it. She's scary."

Valenal says to Avrenka, "Not at this point. At this point you are...adding water to a leaky bucket."

Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Valenal.

Iryta grins at Shavay, her dimples flashing into view.

Shavay says, "In the best possible way, of course."

Southurn bows his head and chants a psalm.

Lushk closes her eyes for a moment and grows still.

Avrenka says to Valenal, "So let's fill the bucket and plug the holes, I see."

Valenal nods to Avrenka.

Valenal exclaims, "Crudely stated, but correct!"

Reriyn ponders.

Reriyn asks, "Shouldnt you plug it then fill it?"

Iryta says, "Even a plugged bucket can overflow though."

Valenal says to Kethrai, "Something like that, yes. Such creatures can touch the plane of abiding briefly, but it would be terrifying to know they had so much access."

Leilanie nods at Reriyn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Avrenka ponders.

Rejind says, "Ideally the system would stay in balance, so for all the energy we pull in via sorcery, an equal amount would 'escape' back into the system at large."

Iryta says to Rejind, "Fair."

Grinning, Valenal pulls a swig from a large glass of Tangy Mango Tango sparkler.

Valenal wobbles, looking a bit faint.

Avrenka says, "There is only one antagonist that know of recently ... Liraxes."

Iryta says, "Hey hey soldier, take it easy on that."

Valenal says to Kethrai, "I must ask your help."

Rejind says, "Hrm, there was no Holy magic in the kidnapping, nor the cells."

Valenal says, "...general you, as it were."

Kethrai asks Valenal, "With what?"

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Valenal.

Iryta smiles at Shavay, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Rifkinn taps a twisted bogbirch limb covered in obscure symbols that he is holding.

Valenal says, "The energetic system is becoming more chaotic because so much has been drawn away. And the rate of draw has increased."

Iryta grins at Witterwell, her dimples flashing into view.

Kethrai nods.

Witterwell beams at Iryta!

Witterwell melodiously says, "D'aw so cute."

Valenal softly says, "That means something very large is happening, and whoever is pulling energy out is willing to move in a way that will... break everything, for lack of a better explanation."

Iryta cringes.

Leilanie frowns.

Iryta says, "Aaand there it is."

Avrenka nods.

You ponder the meaning of Valenal's existence.

Witterwell melodiously says, "That sounds terrible."

Valenal says, "They show their hands. They have to. And you must identify them so they can be stopped, if they can be."

Reriyn asks, "Do you think they are getting closer to making their play?"

Iryta says, "Is definitely what we are trying to do."

Kethrai says, "Sounds like their play is already being made."

Valenal says, "They must be. Otherwise, they would never dare to risk so much."

Valenal nods.

Reriyn says, "Maybe play was the wrong word then."

Rejind says to Reriyn, "They must be, if they wait until the whole system breaks there's no play left to make."

Valenal says, "I believe they will send... representatives...to try to muddy the waters."

Avrenka asks, "Is this Asildu a maker of holes?"

Iryta glances at Avrenka.

Iryta dryly says to Avrenka, "He certainly thought we were."

Valenal says, "And to try to prevent you from thwarting them."

Valenal gazes at Kethrai.

Valenal gazes at Iryta.

Valenal gazes at Avrenka.

Taruc just arrived.

Avrenka smirks.

Iryta shifts her weight.

Reriyn says, "Trust no one."

Iryta says, "Oh that's comforting."

You frown.

Reriyn looks over Valenal very closely.

Valenal says, "Watch for those who warn you against Sorcery."

Rifkinn asks, "So, does anyone know this Human?"

Shavay says, "So the Clerics and Paladins."

Iryta says, "That answers that question."

Kethrai says, "Don't worry. We're quite good at knowing when someone isn't really what they claim they are."

Rifkinn points at Valenal.

Inouvu says, "That should be anyone with any sense."

Valenal beams at Kethrai!

Avrenka smirks at Kethrai.

Iryta stands up.

Witterwell gazes intently into her sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Shavay says, "Hounds of Rutilor are bad - check."

Iryta says to Rifkinn, "We do."

Iryta dryly says to Shavay, "Surprise surprise."

Valenal says to Kethrai, "I am glad! What with everyone having a head, two arms, two legs, and sometimes two eyes, it is easy for people to hide."

Rifkinn asks Iryta, "You have met him befor?"

Iryta grins at Valenal, her dimples flashing into view.

Avrenka asks Valenal, "These leaks, these holes ... are we looking for a location, or something else?"

Shavay says to Iryta, "Right? They chose their name right, at least. Once they get their teeth into an idea they don't drop it."

Iryta nods at Shavay, obviously agreeing with his views.

Valenal says, "Every time a non-sorcerous spell is cast, there is the potential for a leak."

Valenal nods to Avrenka.

Iryta blinks at Valenal.

Avrenka says, "Fascinating."

Iryta says, "Well that's... news."

Valenal says, "Or a theft, more accurately put."

Reriyn raises an eyebrow.

You nibble your lip thoughtfully.

Leilanie wrinkles her nose.

Reriyn asks, "So its not sorcery causing issues?"

Shavay says, "Alright - Empaths, you now use Lunar mana. Clerics - head over to Elemental."

Avrenka says, "So we must defeat the entity responsible."

Kethrai nods to Avrenka.

Inouvu says, "I will do no such thing."

Kethrai says, "I think that's the takeaway."

Iryta says to Kethrai, "I actually had been thinking about this at OA earlier."

Rejind says, "Asking people to stop non-sorcerous casting is just as impossible as what the other fellow wanted, the one who wanted everyone to give up Sorcery."

Valenal says to Avrenka, "Precisely! If they can be found."

Amailia says to Reriyn, "I think these are all theories at this point."

Iryta nods to Rejind.

Shavay says, "I think you mean hypotheses."

Valenal says to himself, "Alright, I think that went well."

Iryta smiles at Valenal, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Iryta nods to Valenal.

Amailia says to Shavay, "Same thing in my book."

Witterwell grins, revealing her dimples.

Amailia grins at Shavay.

Shavay says, "A hypothesis is a guess. A theory is not."

Rifkinn asks, "So again.... have you all met this fella before?"

Iryta says, "Feel free to come back. Oh and keep that drink."

Iryta grins at Valenal, her dimples flashing into view.

Leilanie shakes her head at Rifkinn.

Valenal says to himself, "Now exit politely and remember to write your notes."

Iryta appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Rifkinn says, "And this guy walks in, asking you to do a bidding....."

You say, "We just met. He started a new hat trend."

Valenal beams at Iryta!

Witterwell melodiously asks, "Aw you're leaving?"

Witterwell begins pouting.

Valenal nods to Witterwell.

Shavay just edged a little closer to the hat!

Rifkinn asks, "And you are all listening intently, happy to follow?"

Amailia says to Shavay, "Then maybe the whole meeting earlier was wrong? They kept mentioning theory."

Witterwell melodiously asks, "Can I have a hug before you go?"

Iryta grins at Witterwell, her dimples flashing into view.

Witterwell beams at Valenal!

You say, "Well, it was a very intriguing hat trend."

Avrenka asks Valenal, "One last question ... do you know anything about ... the name Liraxes?"

Valenal says, "I have to! I am so sorry. My, ah...cat is dying."

Kethrai says to Rifkinn, "We're listening and learning."

Iryta pats Valenal on the back.

Witterwell melodiously says, "Aww poor kitty."

Inouvu growls ferociously!

Shavay says to Amailia, "I'd have to know the context."

Leilanie says, "I wouldn't say happy to follow so much as just listening."

Witterwell leaps to her feet!

Valenal steps towards Witterwell and opens his arms, then pauses uncertainly

Iryta says to Kethrai, "He's just annoyed because no one is as interested in anything he has to say."

Witterwell just hugged Valenal.

Shavay says, "We should have done better in previous generations in maintaining specific lexicons."

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Witterwell.

Witterwell melodiously exclaims, "Eee Thank you!!"

Valenal breaks into a sweat.

Iryta grins at Witterwell, her dimples flashing into view.

Witterwell beams at Valenal!

Shavay clucks his tongue and shakes his head.

You try hard not to grin.

Witterwell melodiously exclaims, "You're the best!"

Iryta says, "Nice human practice... I mean action."

Iryta winks at Valenal.

Valenal nervously says, "Ah. Ha Ha. That was very, um...yes, well. It was a thing."

Witterwell flashes a wide grin at Valenal.

Witterwell nods emphatically.

Witterwell melodiously says, "One of the best reasons to have 2 arms."

Witterwell nods emphatically.

Leilanie nods to Inouvu.

Amailia asks Rifkinn, "I don't think anyone here knows him, but he sounds smart-ish?"

Valenal shakes his head as if clearing it.

Inouvu pats Leilanie on the shoulder appreciatively and offers her a tip.

Avrenka frowns.

Avrenka begins to advance on Valenal.

Avrenka says to Valenal, "Who is Liraxes."

Kethrai moves over to guard Valenal.

Valenal calmly exclaims, "Please consider what...ahh!!"

Avrenka closes to pole weapon range on Valenal.

Valenal flails his arms about.

Kethrai protects Valenal from being engaged.

Avrenka closes to melee range on Kethrai.

Kethrai blinks at Avrenka.

Iryta rests her hand on Avrenka's arm with a soft smile.

Taruc blinks.

Valenal retreats from combat.

Amailia asks, "Uh?"

Iryta shakes her head at Avrenka.

Valenal flails his arms about.

Taruc gazes off into the distance.

Rifkinn raises an eyebrow.

Leilanie assesses her combat situation.

Shavay sighs.

Witterwell frowns.

Avrenka smiles broadly.

Avrenka says to Valenal, "That was a joke, friend."

Shavay says, "Another reason people should be hanging out in the Infirmary instead."

Witterwell frowns.

Avrenka laughs!

Witterwell melodiously says, "Don't be mean."

Kethrai says to Valenal, "You know that Human sense of humor. It's so inscrutable."

Valenal says, "Ah, ha ha, a joke. Yes, of course."

Valenal laughs!

Witterwell melodiously asks Valenal, "Need another hug?"

Witterwell squints at Avrenka.

Iryta says, "Maybe we should stop touching the guy."

Valenal quickly says, "No, No, I must be going."

Avrenka clears his throat.

Iryta frets.

Valenal smiles nervously

Kethrai retreats from combat.

Kethrai retreats from combat.

Valenal says, "Thank you for the sandwhich, and the sparkler."

Witterwell melodiously exclaims, "Ok, Go home safely!"

Valenal waves.

Iryta beams at Valenal!

Avatar of Summoning Valenal goes out.

Iryta waves.

Avrenka ponders.

Kethrai slowly empties his lungs.

Reriyn says, "I've met some odd people before, and he was up there."

Leilanie slowly says, "That was the strangest thing."

You say to Avrenka, "He did seem to avoid that question, multiple times."

You nibble your lip thoughtfully.

Avrenka nods to you.

Kethrai guzzles down some of his coffee and then smacks his lips and wipes them with his sleeve.

Iryta says, "I dont think he was a people."

Shavay chuckles.

Avrenka says, "I do not trust him for that one reason."

Rifkinn asks Iryta, "Do i know you?"

Witterwell melodiously says, "I liked him."

Leilanie nods at Iryta, obviously agreeing with her views.

Reriyn says, "I dont think he was a person either."

 * Valenal returns home from a hard day of adventuring.

Shavay asks, "Which question?"

Rifkinn observes Iryta with fascination.

Witterwell sits down on the cushioned swing.

Leilanie says, "Certainly not."

You say, "Any question about Liraxes."

Iryta rubs her windsteel shark, and it shudders slightly.

Shavay asks, "Who's that?"

You say, "Exactly."

Reriyn says, "He was very rushed to leave, like something would happen to him if he stayed."

Avrenka says, "Also, he muttered something about "catching us in the act" at the Astral Observatory."

Kethrai says, "He said something earlier about having limited time here."

Iryta says, "Well I mean, there are some threatening people here."

Reriyn nods to Kethrai.

Leilanie says, "The eating rope."

Pilgrim Nawain just arrived.

Witterwell melodiously says, "Maybe he was scared."

Reriyn asks, "So he was open about that then?"

Iryta waves to Nawain.

Nawain waves to Iryta.

Reriyn says, "So we can say he was honest with at least one thing."

Avrenka says, "It does not make sense that sorcery is the solution, when sorcery seems to have been the cause of the problem."

Amailia says, "Somehow, I doubt he is behind this, worst case, he's serving someone who is, but... I don't know, doubtful."

Rifkinn asks Iryta, "So, thats two derogatory comments, and one concerning expression. Do i need to remind people how i take such actions?"

You nod in agreement.

Rifkinn casually observes the area.

Shavay asks, "So let me get this straight - two oddballs show up this evening, one stating how sorcery is ruining everything, and the other saying how not using sorcery is helping things fall apart?"

Leilanie asks, "Did he say we should only cast spells that are sorcery in nature?"

Iryta asks, "Does anyone else hear that buzzing noise?"

You say, "He didn't tell us to use sorcery exactly, but it was somewhat implied that it would be more balancing than not."

Reriyn nods to Rifkinn.

Kethrai nods to Shavay.

Iryta nods to Shavay.

Reriyn says, "A reminder is probably due."

With amazing speed, Rifkinn strikes Iryta in the throat with the edge of his flattened palm. Iryta clutches her throat, wheezing pathetically.

Amailia nods to Shavay.

Reriyn winces.

Nawain frowns.

Reriyn says, "That looked painful."

Shavay says, "Okay, that leaves us with two options."

Reriyn rubs her neck.

Iryta rolls her eyes.

Avrenka says, "He said sorcery would fill the bucket that's leaking, and non-sorcery spells open opportunities for leaks."

Rifkinn asks, "So what was that guy all bout?"

You nod to Avrenka.

Shavay says, "Stop using magic altogether - which will never happen."

Leilanie frowns.

Witterwell gazes intently into her sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.

Avrenka says, "Which .. .I do not believe is true."

Iryta stretches her arms.

Reriyn says, "If you were trying to manipulate people, you'd tell them the opposite."

Iryta sits down on the cushioned swing.

Shavay says, "Or, ignore them both and just live our lives as normal."

Iryta nods to Reriyn.

Avrenka nods to Reriyn.

You say, "It certainly goes against everything we've ever been taught..."

Rifkinn says to Reriyn, "Not always."

Avrenka says, "However, Valenal was more forthcoming with his theories and accusations than Asildu."

Kuudo just arrived.

Iryta nods to Avrenka.

Avrenka says, "Asildu simply said "stop sorcery."

Reriyn says to Rifkinn, "Its only what I hear. I just a small town farmer."

Inouvu says, "A reasonable course of action."

With a startled jolt the loose tendrils strewn about by the vela'tohr plant rise to waver about in the air, searching for hostile intruders.

Reriyn shrugs.

Leilanie asks Avrenka, "What was his interest in Asildu? Did he ever say?"

Iryta shakes her head.

Avrenka says to Leilanie, "He was circumspect, as was I, but I gathered he accused Asildu of being a thief, and that Valenal was an investigator in search of him."

Rifkinn says to Reriyn, "Mmhmm."

Kethrai asks, "He muttered something about transferring his... consciousness somewhere for... analysis?"

Avrenka nods to Kethrai.

You angle your ears forward, gazing curiously at Kethrai.

Nawain blinks at Kethrai.

Leilanie nods to Avrenka.

Nawain ponders.

Iryta says, "Hope he enjoys that booze."

Avrenka says, "He wanted to take Asildu back for dissassembly for further analysis as to what went wrong."

Inouvu smiles with satisfaction as he continues to confidently buff and shape his wood block.

Iryta ponders.

Iryta blinks at Avrenka.

You say, "Oh, goodness."

Kethrai nods to Avrenka.

Leilanie grins.

Iryta says, "Yea that sounds right."

Reriyn says to Rifkinn, "If you ever need leeks, I'm your gal."

Avrenka says, "Which makes Asildu sound like a rogue agent, a ... deviant."

Avrenka asks, "Question is ... is Asildu a benevolent deviant, or is Valenal the good cop?"

Rifkinn says to Reriyn, "Im more a tomato kinda guy."

Leilanie says, "Take him back where, I wonder."

Iryta lightly says to Rifkinn, "Whatever you meant to accomplish with that I assure you that you failed."

Kethrai helplessly says, "Who knows."

You say, "Lots more to ponder."

Leilanie says, "Wherever it is -humans- go."

Avrenka says, "Who knows, and I doubt either entity would reveal it."

Iryta asks Leilanie, "Extraplanar puppet workshop?"

Leilanie nods at Iryta, obviously agreeing with her views.

Inouvu beams with pride as he places the last finishing touches on his rendition of an owl, completing a wood owl bead.

Avrenka says, "They both emenated Elemental Mana however."

(Amailia looks between Iryta and Rifkinn. "Do you guys, like hate or something or something?")

Amailia chuckles.

Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Avrenka.

Rifkinn says to Iryta, "Its ok, if you continue, im sure i'll do better next time."

Amailia says, "Hate each other rather."

You say, "I need to head home. Safe paths, everyone."

Iryta says to Amailia, "I mean if you knew him, you wouldn't be a fan."

Iryta shrugs.

Leilanie says to you, "Be safe."

Kethrai says to you, "Safe paths."

Reriyn gazes at Rifkinn.

Inouvu chuckles.

Rifkinn smiles at you.

Reriyn says, "He looks swell to me."

You hug Kethrai who wraps his arms around you with a warm smile. A faint scent of lyrandia vines clings to his fur.

Reriyn shrugs.

Leilanie hugs you, and you give her a smile in return.

You grin at Leilanie.

You hug Leilanie who gives you a smile in return. A faint scent of gardenias clings to her skin.

Reriyn says, "Then again, I'm a poor judgement of character."

Iryta says to Rifkinn, "Nothing you do frightens or threatens me."

You nod.

Iryta hugs you, and you give her a smile in return.

You hug Iryta who gives you a smile in return. A faint scent of falling rain clings to her skin.

Iryta stands up.

Amailia says to Iryta, "I mean, I try to see things as neutral as possible. But... you seem to REALLY not like him."

Iryta dusts herself off.

You go out.
