Starfall Hall in Willow Walk, Crossing
[Willow Walk, Willow Tree]
The massive weeping willow tree for which the garden is named spreads its trailing branches toward the ground, veiling the area and swaying with every breath of passing breeze to both reveal and conceal. Occasionally, the leaves part enough to allow a glimpse to the south of the Sorrow Garden in which the Empath Guild Leader stands, and the tall wrought-iron fence running between there and here. You also see a pine-trimmed home, a dark cedar frame house surrounded by discarded gore-spattered body parts, a white oak-shingled cottage with a weeping willow tree in the front yard, an ivy-covered hall with a crumbling brick chimney visible over the roof and a cozy blue stucco abode.
Obvious paths: northeast, northwest.
>look tree The trunk of this ancient tree is easily two feet across, and branches spread in all directions. In the very highest of them, a squirrel has built its nest.
>look fence The airy tracings of the wrought-iron fence are designed to separate the peace of the Willow Walk from the bustle of the Empath Guild.

[Starfall Hall, Sitting Room]
High silver-bordered walls and a polished walnut floor covered by a gold-edged blue floral carpet enclose this room. In one corner lies an elegant ivory velvet settee, and near the settee sits a graceful oval lacewood tea table on which rests a three-tiered tea chest constructed from lustrous apricot wood. A darkened oak mantel fireplace burns along the far wall with a whimsical ink drawing of a merry-looking Halfling woman hanging above it. The room holds a lingering scent of brewing tea. You also see a pint-sized brindle puppy, a high-backed mahogany parlor chair that is facing the settee and an elegant black mahogany bookcase with blackened moonsilver filigree.

An alerce mosaic floor set in a compass-rose pattern spreads across this room into surrounding walls of cobalt blue jaalmin. A large brick fireplace, with a horizontal artwork depicting dancing women in the woods hanging above it, stands guard over a dining table with white legs and an elegant carved ironwood sideboard. A faint scent of wine fills the air. You also see a pint-sized brindle puppy, a wide bow window with decorative glitvire latticework and trim, a gold-plated bar cart with glass shelves, a carved ironwood chair that is facing the table and a carved ironwood chair that is facing the table.

>look floor Starting in the center of floor, the eight points of the compass rose radiate outwards, each arm made of a myriad of tiny tiles in various colors.
>look wall Woven into the warp of the cobalt blue linen are evenly-spaced filaments of shimmering gold, their metallic sheen appearing to almost ripple like quicksilver with the slightest movement. The closely spaced golden threads interact with the background fabric to create the illusion of pinstriping that runs vertically along the surface of the walls. Gold leaf covers the carved cup-and-ball motif on the crown molding, helping to bring out the accents of the metallic fibers in the textile-covered walls.
>look sideboard Delicate panels of jaalmin are set into the three doors of the long table, the lustrous cobalt hue bright against the dark frame. Flourishing scrollwork embellished with moonsilver runs along each corner, terminating at masterfully carved dragonclaw-foot legs.
>look fireplace The fireplace has a solid oak surround that is a combination of crown molding, dentil trim, and fluted casing.
>look window Offering an expansive panoramic view, the set of five joined windows are angled slightly to give the illusion of a curved wall.
[Starfall Hall, Kitchen]
A lingering scent of baking cookies fills this room. Its bare striking blue and jade tile floor supports a large kitchen island with a polished marble countertop and a multicolored wood butcher's block, and the area is enclosed by walls of white-washed plaster. A convoluted cast iron combination oven burns near the far wall with some quilted wool oven mitts hanging above it. You also see a pint-sized brindle puppy, a fan-shaped stained glass window composed of seaglass in blue and green hues, a smooth pine three-legged stool that is facing the island, a smooth pine three-legged stool that is facing the island and a freestanding white pantry with silversteel fittings.

>look island The polished black walnut base complements the cool tones of the marbled foggy grey surface. Brass fittings ensure a large amount of weight can be set atop the wide counter, while two drawers and a shelf are set below for additional storage.

Multiple shelves line the upper interior allowing one to store all the necessary contents of a well-stocked pantry, while a double row of pull out baskets are perfect to hold fresh produce that needs to be shielded from light. Additional spice racks line the inside of each door, letting its owner maximize space usage.

[Starfall Hall, Master Bedroom]
A white snowbeast pelt rug adorns the polished walnut floor of this room. A white pillared marble fireplace, with a carved wooden-framed mirror pressed with gold leaf above it, rests between a large canopy bed draped with spidersilk lace curtains and a lifesculpted e'erdream vanity with delicate sungold filigree pushed up against the white-washed plaster walls. The room holds a lingering scent of candles. You also see a pint-sized brindle puppy, a graceful scrolled walnut chair that is facing the vanity, a large garden window with sparkling glass panes and an ornate carved mahogany wardrobe.

Red and gold flocked paper walls and a polished ironwood floor covered by a large bearskin rug with the head set in a snarling pose enclose this room. In one corner lies a red velvet saddleback sofa, and near the sofa sits a polished redwood coffee table with tapered copper legs with an oblong smokewood humidor featuring a series of smoke image engravings and a long-stemmed crystal glass filled with brilliant ruby port on it. A black marble fireplace with a gilded mantle burns along the far wall. The room holds a strong scent of burning tobacco. You also see a pint-sized brindle puppy, a gloomwood-framed bay window, a broad dark ironwood bookcase with intricate scrollwork and a dark red velvet armchair that is facing the table.

>look table The rectangular slab of wood is stained a bright red hue and coated in lacquer to protects its surface, its bold color emphasized by the copper hairpin-style legs holding it up.
>look rug A pair of rubies has been set into the beast's eyes and its mouth is propped open to show the sharp fangs. Long black claws stick out from the ends of each of the legs, each one razor sharp.
>look window Each side of the three-sided window is held up by solid planks of the dense-grained purple tinted wood.
[Starfall Hall, Starlight Ballroom]
Alerce mosaic walls stare silently at a bare glittering crystal tile floor. A tall silver brazier, with a spiraling moonsilver chandelier dripping with glittering crystals hanging above it, rests between an elegant carved ironwood sideboard and a carved dark ironwood bench pushed up against the alerce mosaic walls. The room holds a lingering scent of perfume. You also see a pint-sized brindle puppy, a wide bow window with decorative glitvire latticework and trim and a dark walnut grandfather orlog.

>look chandelier Three extravagant tiers of flawlessly cut translucent shards glimmer and shine as they dangle in elaborate helical coils, reflecting the silvery gleam of the luminous, finely wrought metal that composes the arching frame. Scattered light from the opulent chandelier dances erratically in every direction, radiating from a large hollow within the feature that allows ample space for an array of candles.
>look wall Set against a sweeping expanse of larger midnight black tesserae, all the moons and planets are depicted with skillful use of smaller multi-colored cubes of the glittering stone-like bark of the alerce tree. The rare white alerce has been utilized to form the outlines of the constellations, which spread across the open spaces between the bigger celestial bodies.
>look bench Vines twist around this sturdy bench with faces peering out from behind their leafy foliage. A faint sheen of golden paint accents some of the faces, while others have jade-inlaid eyes.
>look orlog On the orlog's polished silver face is a black enameled pointer mounted on a central spindle. The face has words and figures around the edge, from "midnight" at the top, then the numbers 1 to 11 down the right side to "noon" at the bottom, and 1 to 11 ascending on the left.
Above the face is a semicircular opening where the top halves of three metal discs can be seen. As the background revolves to picture night or day, the smaller discs show the phases of the moons, ascending on the left as they wax and descending on the right as they wane. Below the face is a shiny brass plaque engraved with: "Allye."
The timepiece, tall enough to stand on its own, has a dark walnut cabinet. Beneath the orlog face is a tall case carved with fanciful sea monsters. The case of the orlog is closed.
Allye's Beach Villa, The Enclave
[The Enclave at Fang Cove]
This quiet locale is a blend of soil, sand, shell and wood debris as the inland jungle meets and mingles with the beach. A long dead frond rests its dried tip on the ground as it dangles from a tall full-headed fan palm. From time to time, one of the night's avian predators alights in the treetop and silently surveys the sandy beach for its prey. You also see a spacious white sandstone villa with tropical shonji plants growing in brightly colored clusters along the path to the front door and an unremarkable hutch.

>look palm Though already tall, the tree is still quite young and will continue to climb both up and out as it ages.

[Allye's Beach Villa, Bedroom]
A cozy e'erdream and sungold bed draped in sheer whisperlayne curtains and a lifesculpted e'erdream vanity with delicate sungold filigree rest upon the alabaster floor of this tiny hovel. An elegant alabaster fireplace with matching urns, with a horizontal seascape of a woman in a floating shell hanging above it, burns from its resting place at the edge of the silk carpet covering the alabaster floor. Gold watered silk papered walls enclose the area, holding in its lingering smell of sea spray. You also see a large garden window with sparkling glass panes, an Ilithian black bogbirch wardrobe carved with lotus blossoms, an embroidered golden silk chair that is facing the vanity and a ghostly grey kitten.

>look bed Small clusters of delicately carved flowers are captured in mid-bloom across the frame of the canopied bed, and the subtly inlaid metal gilds the unfurled petals in warm hues of rosy pink, red, and purple. Gossamer lengths of whisperlayne cascade down to pool upon the floor and billow out to flutter dreamily with the slightest breeze. The bed offers a comfortable haven for any who rest within its embrace, submerged in a plush sanctuary of cashmere blankets and soft, down-filled pillows.
>look on bed On the cozy bed you see a strawberry tart-shaped pillow decorated with a glittery glaze, a cashmere pillow embroidered with roses, a plush ghost pillow swathed in tatters of white lace, a plush fish-shaped pillow, an emerald satin frog-shaped pillow with sad-looking eyes, a heavy silver satin pillow, a scallop-edged whitework quilt, a fancy tri-colored blanket stitched with interlocking faiyka and a shell-pink cotton blanket.

>look kitten The small kitten is a translucent grey color, with clear patches that may have once been white. Looking prim and proper, it's apparent that the little ghost hasn't realized his untimely demise, nor his current state. No marks mar the kitten's fur, leaving the original cause of his death a mystery. He is standing on the floor.
A ghostly grey kitten struts over to the cozy bed and starts nosing at it. After a minute, he passes straight through it, vanishing from sight completely. A ghostly grey kitten slowly fades into view. A ghostly grey kitten catches a glimpse of his own tail and whirls around trying to catch it. He spins in circles for a moment, and then glances up at you with a sheepish look. Apparently embarrassed, the kitten becomes transparent and vanishes completely. >kiss kitten You walk over to the grey kitten and lean down to give him a little kiss between the ears. He purrs happily, seeming to like the attention. However, your lips feel numb afterwards, and you have to rub them briskly to warm them up.
Magnolia Manor, Riverhaven
[Magnolia Corner, Blossom Circle]
One particularly large tree rests in the middle of the path, forcing the pavers to split the line of cobble in two to accommodate the trunk's breadth. Laden with pristine white blossoms, the magnolia's branches extend far over the rooftops of several nearby houses. Local birds twitter noisily above, concealed by the leaves. You also see a tidy cat, a stately white marble manor with clusters of budding pink amaryllis along the path to the door and a wooden gate within a tall boxwood hedge.

>look cat Many cats haunt Riverhaven's alleys, but tidy cat is certainly not one of them. She's obviously been pampered from day one, and her pristinely groomed fur is redolent with the fragrance of the magnolia trees sheltering her home turf. Her brilliant sky-blue eyes shine like glass amidst the fluffy mass of clean white fur, and her blushing pink nose and haughty demeanor give her all the charm of a pretty princess on her wedding day.
Darling creature! A fine specimen of her species.
>pet cat You pet tidy cat. Your fingers feel like they are stroking a cloud! What a pleasant treat.

A few magnolia petals flutter down from the branches above, and one tickles your face on its way to the ground.

[Magnolia Manor, Tea Room]
Pale pink rose-stenciled walls and a tamboti floor of parquet tiles set in a fan pattern covered by a gold and black tasseled rug enclose this room. In one corner lies a rich black cashmere sofa, and near the sofa sits a rolling drop-leaf tea cart skillfully crafted from burnished ribbon-stripe on which rests a gold-flecked coralite teapot covered in delicately inked pink roses. An elegant alabaster fireplace with matching urns burns along the far wall with a whimsical ink drawing of a merry-looking Halfling woman hanging above it. The room holds a strong scent of brewing tea. [The Second-Floor Hallway]
The walls of the upstairs hall are covered with cream paper hand-painted in tones of green and gold with scenes of woodland and meadow. Two bronze lamps light the hall, and a big window graces the street end. You also see a silverwood door elaborately carved with blooming vines and an Elven silk picnic cloth embroidered with silvery thread with several things on it.

>look lamp A bronze lamp shaped like an acanthus leaf is attached to the wall. On the top of the lamp is a glass tube enclosing a wick.
>move door You walk in a silverwood door elaborately carved with blooming vines.
[Shard Apartment, Interior]
A white snowbeast pelt rug adorns the white marble floor of this room. A white pillared marble fireplace, with a watercolor portrait depicting a sun-drenched mermaid hanging above it, rests between a sleek black willow canopy bed with soft pillows and a long dark sana'ati table with blackened moonsilver filigree pushed up against the grey mistwood walls. The room holds a faint scent of gardenias. You also see a pure-white Tetomba'ia, a rich black cashmere armchair that is facing the fireplace and a rich black cashmere armchair that is facing the fireplace.

>look portr Glistening drops of water bead over the pale skin of the ethereal creature as she basks upon a sparkling white sand beach. Rendered with a delicate hand, each scale of her undulating tail bears the blue-green hue of the sea that crashes before her in foamy waves. A swooping letter "A" marks the bottom right corner of the piece.
>look tet The Tetomba'ia is a small bundle of fur. Not much can been seen except for two wide eyes that blink constantly as they take in its surroundings.
It is standing on the floor.
>rub tet You playfully mess up the fur of the Tetomba'ia which lets out an indignant squeal and quickly rolls around on the floor, rearranging its thick fur to the way it was before.
>hug tet You pull the Tetomba'ia close and snuggle it against you, feeling its love as it purrs happily.
Rolling quickly to the side of the bed, the Tetomba'ia begins to bounce against the ground, gaining height with each bounce. Finally high enough, it lets out a small excited squeal and lands on the edge. There it sits for a minute as small gasps for air come from within the bundle of fur.
Squeaking excitedly the Tetomba'ia starts bouncing around the room, chasing a bit of fur that escaped from its bundle.
Almarius and Allye's Writing Room, Crossing
[Dintacui Apartments, Third Floor]
A giant geometric rose has been sculpted out of the end of this corridor. Underneath it run several lines of poetry, lit by glowstones emitting softly pearling light. You also see a blue willow door covered in fanciful depictions of puffy white clouds and glittering rainbows, a brass-trimmed olivewood door and a yew door.

>look rose This is a geometric abstract of a rose, with more than a hundred petals painstakingly sculpted from magenta basalt.
>look poetry You observe several lines of S'Kra calligraphy, wonderfully flowing despite the medium of chiseled white sandstone. >read poetry Night drops its shade and the Wind furiously blows, What will survive night, beloved, if not the Rose? But the Rose requires Heartsblood for its drink, Only the Soul could understand, if it chose.
>move door You walk in a blue willow door.
[Writing Room, Interior]
An alabaster floor of triangular tiles spreads across this small room into surrounding glazed blue and silver walls. An elegant alabaster fireplace with matching urns, with an intricately embroidered silk tapestry displaying a detailed map of Elanthia hanging above it, stands guard over the pine bunk bed and ban-minahle writing table that rest upon a fluffy featherlette rug featuring bright blue and green hues covering the floor. A very faint scent of crisp paper fills the air. You also see a green padded armchair that is facing the table, a diamond-shaped window with mistglass panes, a blue willow door, a trio of cascading baskets hung from the ceiling and a green padded armchair that is facing the table.

>look rug Splashes of red and purple can also be found in the shimmery floor covering's high pile.
>look floor Arranged in a series of interlocking tiles, the space between each block is set with jet black mortar which contrasts with the pure white stone.
>look fireplace Pale, almost translucent white veneer covers the outside of the fireplace, which has a white-painted wood mantel. Two tall urns stand on either side of the firebox, their walls so thin they are almost transparent.
>look tapestry Dark crimson forms a thick border on the heavy tapestry trimmed with heavy golden tassels. Smooth tan and blue-green silk forms the shapes of the known lands and oceans, while iridescent thread forms the many natural features of the world: forests, mountain ranges, deserts, and rivers. Cities are represented in intricate detail and clearly labeled in tiny block letters.
