FOCUS nijare (unbonded):

You focus your magical senses on a nijare.
The nijare has a definite magic pattern that is void of energy.
You sense that the nijare is not aligned with an element and is not bonded to another Mage.

RUB nijare (unbonded, Elemental-user only):

You methodically slide the blade of your nijare across the palm of your hand. The blood drawn is surrounded by a soft blue light as the blade of the nijare seemingly drinks it from your wound. The wound closes mere moments after the blade passes by. The hilt of the nijare shines with a bright blue-white light.

A voice echoes in the depths of your mind, "Now is the time to align me with the elements."

The voice pleadingly whispers into your mind, "TAP me to align me with the waters of Elanthia. KISS me to align me with the swirling birthplace of the elements, Aether. TRACE me to align me with the winds and air of the sky. WAVE me to fill me with the energy and presence of the mountains. TOUCH me to align me with the passion and energy of Fire. Or you may PAT me to align me with the element of Electricity." (Do so within the next 20 seconds)

When aligned to an element, the nijare changes its look as follows:

  • Air: a silver-bladed nijare with a blue diamond hilt.
    • LOOK: Etched into the base of the blade is a simplistic design consisting of a whirlwind.
  • Aether: a silver-bladed nijare with a black onyx hilt.
    • LOOK: Etched into the base of the blade is a simplistic design consisting of five interlocking rings.
  • Electricity: a silver-bladed nijare with a smooth pearl hilt.
    • LOOK: Etched into the base of the blade is a simplistic design consisting of a lightning bolt.
  • Water: a silver-bladed nijare with a star sapphire hilt.
    • LOOK: Etched into the base of the blade is a simplistic design consisting of a breaking wave.

After alignment, the verbs previously used for alignment allow for various different interactions with the nijare, with appearances varying by attunement. Additionally, the nijare can be CHARGEd with up to 10 mana to power these various interactions.

The following are the interactions for an aether-aligned nijare:

  • TAP: As you tap the pommel of your onyx nijare, a soft blue glow slinks from the symbol on the blade. The glow ever-so-slowly consumes the nijare and begins creeping up your arm. Shortly after, the glow surrounds your entire body for a moment before blinking out of existence.
    • Third person: A soft blue glow emanates from the symbol on wielder's onyx nijare. The glow slowly creeps up the nijare to surround wielder. As soon as it surrounds him, it vanishes.
  • KISS: As you kiss the hilt of your onyx nijare, a crystal clear purr of contentment emanates from it. You feel strangely elated after the gesture.
    • Third person: A crystal clear purr of contentment drifts from a silver-bladed nijare with a black onyx hilt in wielder's hands.
  • TRACE: As you trace around the blade of your onyx nijare, you feel it pulse slightly. Once you outline the whole blade, you stretch your hand out, holding the nijare in your open palm. The blade slowly lifts off of your hand and spins quickly in the air. The nijare starts spinning so fast, it becomes nothing more than a sphere of black light. Peering into the sphere, you see a depiction of five interlocked rings.
    • Third person: Wielder traces his thumb along the edge of the blade of his onyx nijare. Once the outline is complete, he stretches out his hand, the nijare laying on his palm. A silver-bladed nijare with a black onyx hilt begins spinning quickly, and soon becomes nothing more than a sphere of black light. Looking into the sphere, you see a depiction of five interlocked rings.
  • WAVE: You slice through the air with your onyx nijare, leaving an arc of black light in its wake.
    • Third person: Wielder slices through the air with his onyx nijare, leaving an arc of black light in its wake.
  • TOUCH: You touch your onyx nijare and it grows warm to your touch. Closing your eyes, you see a vision of an extraordinarily beautiful Rakash woman with piercing amber eyes and brown hair that is long. The figure smiles warmly at you while gradually fading from your mind.
    • Third person: Wielder closes his eyes and smiles as he touches his onyx nijare.
  • PAT: You reverse your grip on the nijare's hilt and pat the pommel with your other hand. The nijare feels warm to the touch as a black tendril of lightning flares down the length of the blade.
    • Third person: Wielder reverses the grip on his nijare's hilt and pats the pommel. The onyx nijare flares briefly as a black colored tendril of lightning careens down the blade.
