[Taelbert's Inn, Banquet Room]
Candles placed at regular intervals along several wide banquet tables light the room with a warm golden glow. A single table placed at right angles to the rest sits atop a low platform near the northern wall. Garlands of wildflowers drape in gentle spirals around stone pillars, filling the air with their delicate, sweet scent. You also see a deed register, a wide arch and a tiny alcove.
Also here: Forest Wizard Theale, Biomancer Leayne and Fearless Crobin.
Obvious exits: none.
You notice as a storm-grey cat with gold-flecked crystal blue eyes prances into the room.
You smile.
Leayne smiles at you, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
You hug Crobin who wraps his arms around you with a warm smile. A faint scent of falling rain clings to his fur.
Crobin gives you a brotherly hug, rubbing your scalp with his knuckles.
You see Fearless Crobin Yuanfen, Death's Messenger of The Locksmith Union, a Prydaen.
Crobin has a round face with an expansive scar winding across the forehead and terminating through the left eyebrow, cropped ears, cat-slitted murky black eyes and a pushed-in nose. He has a cropped blue-black mane, with ghostly white fur with black points, a thick tail and an athletic build.
He is tall for a Prydaen.
He appears to be young.
He has faint scuffing to the back.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing some germish'din hide footwraps, some bone-white battle leathers, a braided spidersilk rope affixed with a steel grappling hook, a bias-cut bone white cloak pinned at the shoulder with a darkstone signet clas, a fitted dark charcoal satin shirt with ka'hurst toggles, a curious timepiece suspended by a thin bronze chain, a palm-sized chestnut-brown spider and some reinforced sharkskin pants with rough leather lacing.
You say, "Good to see you."
Crobin says, "Good to be seen."
Crobin says, "How are you doing sir/."
You chuckle.
You say, "No complaints. Training goes well."
You ask, "How are you?"
Leayne pets your storm-grey cat.
You softly ask Leayne, "And can I trouble you for healing, Leayne?"
Leayne nods.
Crobin says, "Doing alright, training and getting to hang with Leayne as much as I can, so going good."
You smile at Leayne.
Leayne rests her hand on your arm with a soft smile.
You feel a warmth radiate from Leayne's touch.
You have a brief sensation that leaves your wounds tingling.
You see Biomancer Leayne Gammelyn of the House of the Verdant Lily, an Elothean.
Leayne has an aristocratic face, delicate ears, dreamy sapphire eyes, a straight nose and dimples. Her strawberry hair is hip length and wavy showcasing metallic gold dye on the tips of the hair, and is worn loose. She has pale skin and a curvaceous figure.
She is pint-sized for an Elothean.
A luminous sunstone daylily rests on her forehead, just above her eyes.
She appears to be young.
Her thigh has a tattoo of a crystal-blue river flowing down the sides of a mountain with the phrase "Life Flows On" above it.
She is in good shape.
She is holding a glass of sangria slush in her right hand.
She is wearing a feather-lined turquoise shawl blanketed with clear glass beads, a scooped neck gown of sapphire blue gemfire velvet, a tantalizing mistglass choker with dangling rivertears, a slender mistglass hip-chain draped in cascading tiers of rivertear, a pair of bluefire velvet high-heeled slippers accented with shimmering rivertears, some white-rimmed spectacles encrusted with diamond dust, an ivory bracelet shaped like a curled sleeping cat, a four-strand necklace of stephanotis blossoms sculpted from winter white acenite, a delicate tiered necklace strung with a Saendalen emerald nestled in a sungold lily, a jade four-leaf clover clustered with tiny emeralds, a black steel mourning band inlaid with ivory lilies, an onyx mourning band adorned with pale green vela'tohr flowers in bas-relief, some sapphire blue weepers, a miniature orange lily, a luminous sunstone daylily, a pair of snowy white feather wings adorned with bejeweled charms, an enameled-iron black fox pin with bright amber eyes, a Queen-of-the-night lily pin shaped from glistening pearls, a gleaming sapphire lily, some calla lily earrings with pearl accents, a vivid butterfly-shaped handbag accented with a multitude of gemstones, a platinum ring set with a nightfire opal, a beribboned spun glitter basket embellished with sapphire tabby cats, a pale alabaster spellbook case draped with carved emerald morah vines, a smooth silver camocas cosmetic case with a star-shaped crystal clasp, some faceted crystal hairsticks topped with chunks of amethyst, some jewel-toned glass hair beads, a braided gold ring set with a large faceted sapphire, a tiny white dove charm, a gwethdesuan, a wildling spider carved from cambrinth, a diamond anklet and some hammered iron toe bells in the shape of hex lily blossoms.
You nod to Crobin.
A curious tingling sensation rises within you as the boundary between you and Leayne melts away, until you feel her body as if it were your own. A bewildering nausea grips you as your mind is assailed by information from a sense that you do not possess. Just as the sensations begin to overwhelm your consciousness, the boundary between you and Leayne dissolves completely. For a few dizzying moments you seem to occupy the same flesh. A creeping sensation of tingling coldness envelops you as Leayne seeks to draw the hurts from your body.
The pain of your wounds abruptly ceases, as if ripped forcibly from your body.
The feeling of unity with Leayne gradually ebbs away.
You say to Leayne, "Thank you."
You scratch your cat, which purrs in contentment.
Leayne softly says, "A few scratches."
Leayne giggles.
You chuckle.
You nod.
Leayne softly says, "Welcome."
You say, "I just began hunting in the moths near the Boar Clan. I find them less dangerous than the wyverns I hunted before."
Crobin says, "Hmm seems I have my work cut out for me then."
Crobin says, "Still playing catch up."
Leayne grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.
You grin.
Lady of Frostbite Siendra came through a wide arch.
You say, "I feel that way too, but I try to embrace the grind."
Crobin waves to Siendra.
You smile at Siendra.
Siendra smiles.
Crobin taps a curving bloodwood branch that he is holding.
You hug Siendra who wraps her arms around you with a warm smile. A faint scent of cloves clings to her skin.
Leayne smiles at Siendra, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

A small lump starts to move about under Siendra's clothing as if some tiny creature is walking around under there.
Crobin says, "Hey Maz."
Mazrian shakes Crobin's hand.
You say, "Evening, Maz. Thanks for coming."
A fist-sized cream-colored spider with black and snow-white speckling climbs out onto Siendra's shoulder, waving its forelegs and staring up at her.
Leayne curtsies to Mazrian.
Siendra bows to Mazrian.
Leayne softly says, "Evening."

Mazrian bows to Siendra.

Mazrian says, "I could hardly miss it."
Leayne pets your storm-grey cat.
Crobin says, "Hate to say this Maz, but your face is sort of on fire."
You see Mazrian Daemondred-Rudeone, an Elf.
Mazrian is surrounded by a lattice-like sphere of electricity bristling with crackling spikes.
Mazrian's skin has taken on a greenish granite-like sheen, roughening his features and lending him the forbidding appearance of living stone.
Mazrian has an angular face with elegant arched eyebrows, pointed ears, crystal blue eyes and a classical nose. His dark brown hair is long and thick, and is worn in a simple, loose style. He has fair skin and an athletic build.
He is tall for an Elf.
He appears to be an adult.
He has a tattoo of a wolf's head shrouded by an aura of flame over twin crossed swords on his arm.
He has faint scuffing to the abdomen.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a sprig of heart's-ease, some round spectacles with silversteel wire frames, a handsome pale grey cashmere longcoat with a pale moonsilk lining, an ivory linen swordsman's shirt with blackworked cuffs, a multihued moonsilver wedding ring enclosing a faceted aldamalm, a pair of finely tailored black wool pants trimmed with stormsilk down each leg, a slender matte-black staff traced with geometric runes engraved in Elven silver and a pair of shield-engraved gold cufflinks.
Siendra appears to be trying hard not to grin.
You chuckle.
Mazrian says, "It's so I light up the room."
Siendra says to Crobin, "Someone had to tell him."
Mazrian says, "With my presence."
Crobin asks, "Do we need a cream...healing...anything like that?"
Mazrian flashes a quick grin.
Leayne rests her hand on Mazrian's arm with a soft smile.
Crobin nods to Siendra.
An almost visible connection between Leayne and Mazrian seems to thrum through the air.
Mazrian shivers briefly as wounds and traces of battle abruptly vanish from his body.
Leayne exhales slowly as corresponding wounds bloom on her flesh.
Siendra stands up.
Siendra dusts herself off.
After a moment's silence a lissome russet panther with rivulets of azure rippling through its fur appears, lands, and glances up at Siendra expectantly.
You ask Siendra, "How have you been, Si? Training much these days?"
Siendra pets her russet panther.
Lunar Princess Angel came through a wide arch.
Siendra says to you, "As much as I can. Dytt handed me my tail the other day so now I have been out in the field a bit more."

She is wearing a brilliant ruby-shaded rose, a barbed eyebrow ring of tangled steel wires, a set of iron stud earrings with tiny spikes, a peacock spider choker of iridescent covellite, a dragon claw necklace cut from polished black coral, a naturally plated wyvern hide with rich dragon's scale sapphire eyes, a red-scaled wyvern with firestained indurium and blood ruby eyes, a dented silver badge that reads "Where's the Bar?", a molten-core diamond rose displayed on an asini stem, some graceful wyvern-hide wings spanning a frame of dragonwood, a padded leather libation caddy hung from a woven grass strap, a sky-blue storyplait sarong draped in graceful folds, a glitzy ring pop cradling a flamboyant candy emerald, a smooth dragonwood ring wound with a thin strand of dragonfire amber, a golden candy ring shaped like a coiled serpent, a sturdy pale leather bullwhip and a clouded arzumos pelt thigh bag with gut drawstrings.
Crobin says, "Selame, good to see you."
Crobin coughs.
Leayne giggles at Selame.
Selame says, "Hiyas."
Crobin says, "Ribs...the ribs."
Theale gets a barrel of Very Cherry whiskey from inside an effervescent eddy of honey-hued light captured by a sungold frame.
Khaelyn says to Angel, "Hello."
You say to Selame, "Welcome."
Selame smirks at Crobin.
Angel gives Khaelyn a formal hug, pressing first her right cheek, then her left, against Khaelyn's.
Angel asks Khaelyn, "How are you?"
Grey Empath Akeiro came through a wide arch.
Selame says to Crobin, "I didn't realize you were so fragile, my apologies."
Akeiro waves.
Angel says to Khaelyn, "It has been a rois since I have seen you. Nice to see you."
Leayne smiles at Akeiro, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
You bow to Akeiro.
Angel gives Selame a formal hug, pressing first her right cheek, then her left, against Selame's.
Akeiro perks his ears up happily as he gazes at Selame.
Akeiro pulls Selame to him in a tight hug.
You see Grey Empath Akeiro Nakohu, a Prydaen.
Akeiro has a bestial face with an undulating scar across the cheek, cold cat-slitted crystal blue eyes and a slim animite septum ring threaded through an amaranth riftstone piercing the septum of a deeply scarred nose. His silver mane is long and thick, and is worn pulled back in a multitude of beaded braids. He has glittered ghostly white fur with silvered black stripes, a long bushy tail and a sleek build.
He is pint-sized for a Prydaen.
He appears to be young.
He has an elaborate arrangement of piercings in the flesh surrounding both of his eyes. Thin bone shards of various sizes jaggedly perforate the flesh of each brow, transitioning as they turn back under the eye to small silver rings that dangle tiny bone beads and skulls across his cheekbones.
His right wrist has a tattoo of a lush symbol of growth.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a gold foil-covered chocolate crown stamped with the word "KING", a bright yellow dandelion, a snuggly wool blanket embroidered with a combat nurse dual wielding lollipops, some fuzzy pajamas with a rainbow mohawk and felt horn extending from the hood, a pristine white plush unicorn with a golden horn and rainbow-colored tail, a pale Enmity rose, a shimmering dreamweave unicorn with a glowing truegold horn, a red candy fireball ring decorated with yellow flames and some fluffy sand spider slippers with furry legs wearing tiny spider slippers.
Crobin says, "I am like the desert rose on a cold night."
Crobin nods to Selame.
Selame laughs at Crobin.
You laugh!
Selame kisses Akeiro on the nose.
Khaelyn asks Angel, "Very well, you?"
Leayne peers quizzically at Crobin.
You say to Crobin, "You are quite the poet, Crobin."
Angel gives Hanryu a formal hug, pressing first her right cheek, then her left, against Hanryu's.
War Wizard Etasia came through a wide arch.
Crobin chuckles.
Crobin hugs Etasia, who wraps her arms around Crobin with a warm smile.
Etasia smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Etasia waves.
Angel says to Khaelyn, "Well, thankfully."
Siendra beams at Etasia!
Crobin says, "Can't help myself."
Etasia hugs Crobin, who wraps his arms around Etasia with a warm smile.
Angel wrinkles her nose.
Leayne smiles at Etasia, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Mazrian says, "A strong and likely not-very-flammable coalition, we've assembled here."
You smile at Etasia.
You see War Wizard Etasia, a Human Warrior Mage.
Etasia's skin has taken on a greenish granite-like sheen, roughening her features and lending her the forbidding appearance of living stone.
Etasia has a round face, fathomless amber eyes, a freckled nose and dimples. Her golden brown hair is long and wavy, and is worn in a deceptively careless-looking arrangement of upswept locks held in place by a dainty flamewood comb carved with ghostflower blossoms. She has tanned skin and a slender figure.
She is average height for a Human.
She appears to be an adult.
She has a tattoo of a grey wolf howling at a moonlit sky on her shoulder.
She is in good shape.
She is holding some Kygar's roast coffee in her right hand.
She is wearing a flower spider earring crafted from copper, a twisted silver earcuff set with a white coral dragon breathing crystal flames, a pair of brushed silver earrings, a simple back harness of shadowy nightsilk, a gleaming steel badge embossed with "Good morning! I see the assassins have failed", a spidersilk baldric webbed in wildlace, an elegantly draped heartname leather cloak edged in bone warding beads, a soft clingy onyx-dusted bodice with delicately woven laces of whisperlayne, a scrimshaw morgawr bone armband inlaid with blackwater jet, a watered steel armlet encased by a series of six interlocking rings, a draping platinum hip-chain dangling garnet and onyx bells, some low-slung sleek black supple hide leggings, an ornate tel'athi anklet etched with crude symbols and a pair of nightmare black spidersilk thigh-boots with a wildlace overlay.
Mazrian casually observes the area.
Akeiro nods to Golameth.
Akeiro holds his hand out towards Golameth for a highfive.
Khaelyn smiles at Angel.
Crobin stands near Leayne.
A dark and hairy horned beastie leaps to its cloven-hoofed feet and glares at Golameth. Pulling a sign that reads ~NAUGHTY~ from its blood red jumper, the beastie strides across Golameth's shoulder with hostile intent and begins to shake his clawed fist, shrieking words no one should ever say or hear. Without warning, the beastie whaps Golameth right in the face with his sign, before going still once again.
Karthor chuckles.
Siendra hugs Etasia, who wraps her arms around Siendra with a warm smile.
You chuckle at Mazrian.
Golameth and Akeiro highfive each other.
Leayne hugs Crobin, who wraps his arms around Leayne with a warm smile.
Crobin waves to Akeiro.
Etasia says, "Greetings everyone."
Akeiro waves to Crobin.
You say to Mazrian, "Just so."
Ayrell grins at Vaddon.
Etasia smiles at you, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Golameth exclaims, "Now presenting Lord of the Snacks!"
Etasia chuckles at Golameth.
Vaddon smiles.
Karthor says to Mazrian, "I s'pose there's a "that's because Madigan isn't here" joke in there somewhere."
Ayrell smiles at Vaddon.
Theale tickles Khaelyn, grinning mischievously.
Akeiro smirks at Golameth.
Akeiro mutters to himself.
Selame laughs happily.
You say to Golameth, "Thank the gods. If I were a better host, I'd have brought food and drink."
Etasia grins at Akeiro, her dimples flashing into view.
Selame perks her ears up happily as she gazes at Akeiro.
Golameth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.
Etasia snaps to attention and hails Karthor with a crisp hand salute.
Angel says to Leayne, "Nice to see you my sarling sister."
Akeiro laughs happily.
Siendra slyly says to you, "I may have frat for everyone."
Karthor waves to Etasia.
Ayrell smiles at Etasia.
Khaelyn smiles at Theale.
Siendra appears to be trying hard not to grin.
Leayne grins at Angel, her dimples flashing into view.
You glance at Siendra, a female Rakash.
Etasia smiles at Ayrell, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Ezerak waves to Etasia.
Etasia waves to Ayrell.
Angel says to Leayne, "Darling too. Dang gum."
You get an odd feeling that someone is watching you. It quickly passes.
Etasia waves to Ezerak.
Angel gazes upward.
Theale casually observes the area.
Black Fox Xionara came through a wide arch.
Hanryu takes a sip of his beer.
You say to Siendra, "You're... so generous..."
Xionara studies the faces around her.
Leayne smiles at Xionara, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
You smile at Xionara.
Siendra laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.
Xionara nods politely.
You see Black Fox Xionara Swiftstrike, Western Wrath of Elanthia, a Prydaen Warrior Mage.
Xionara has a triangular face, vibrant, deep electric blue-tipped pointed ears and some fashionable sunglasses with elongated cat-eye frames enhancing her cat-slitted jade eyes. Her deep blue-streaked honey mane is shoulder length and straight, and is worn loose. She has glittered rust-colored fur, a slender tail that deepens in color and shifts to a vibrant, deep electric blue at the tip and a lissome figure.
Some fire whirl ruby drakes float lazily around her head, glowing with a lustrous sheen against her fur.
She appears to be elderly.
She has a stud of polished glaes nestled into her labret.
She has a tattoo of a dragon made of blue ice breathing white flames on her hand.
She has tiny scratches to the right arm, minor swelling and bruising around the left arm compounded by cuts and bruises about the left arm, faint scuffing to the right leg, tiny scratches to the left leg, faint scuffing to the right hand, faint scuffing to the left eye.
She is holding a thin-stemmed goblet of deep black rum in her right hand.
She is wearing a conical black wizard's hat strewn with twinkling points of starlight, a deeply cowled cloak with a heavy austere mantle, a lightweight black cotton smock with rolled three-quarter length sleeves, a hooded black leather longcoat embroidered with vibrant flames, a stunning lifesculpted rowan armband cradling a brilliant heartsblood trillium, an onyx mourning band adorned with pale green vela'tohr flowers in bas-relief, some luxurious purple dreamweave meditation pants, a braided jadeleaf anklet splotched with indeterminate stains, a braided jadeleaf anklet splotched with indeterminate stains, a pair of sun vulture-winged boots tinted deep brown and a silken chain of incarnadine heartsblood trillium.
Selame snickers at Akeiro.
Siendra smiles at Xionara.
You say to Xionara, "Glad you could come, Xionara."
Mazrian smiles at Xionara.
Siendra bows to Xionara.
Crobin hugs Xionara, who wraps her arms around Crobin with a warm smile.
Ayrell smiles at Xionara.
Xionara hugs Crobin, who wraps his arms around Xionara with a warm smile.
Xionara waves to Ayrell.
Khaelyn taps a regal diamondwood scepter capped with a trilliant-cut Sunderstone that she is holding.
Ezerak doffs his top hat at Xionara.
Leayne softly says to Angel, "Nice to see you too Sis."
Akeiro gets some spicy chicken wings from inside his entangling brambles.
Akeiro offers Golameth some spicy chicken wings.
Khaelyn nods to Theale.
Angel wrinkles her nose.
You say, "Let us start our meeting in another roi or two."
Xionara scratches one ear, looking bemused.
Grinning, Theale pulls a swig from a barrel of Very Cherry whiskey.
You get a glass goblet of darkefire rum with silver varked flames from inside your watersilk bag.
Selame wraps her arms lovingly around Akeiro, snuggling close.
Akeiro offers Selame some spicy chicken wings.
Selame looks at Akeiro and drools.
Selame accepts Akeiro's chicken wings.
Akeiro touches Selame on the wrist with two fingers, feeling for a pulse hopefully.
Theale paces back and forth.
Etasia grins at Karthor, her dimples flashing into view.
Etasia chuckles.
Akeiro waves to Karthor.
Siendra blinks.
Etasia nods.
Karthor waves to Akeiro.
Leayne gets a glass of mocha milkshake from inside a swirling eddy of incandescent light bound by a gold-striated coralite frame.
Karthor closes his eyes for a moment and grows still.
Hanryu grins.
Siendra says, "Rin, stand closer, darn it."
Leayne offers Angel a glass of mocha milkshake.
Siendra pets her russet panther.
Siendra nods.
You smile at Siendra.
Angel beams at Leayne!
Leayne grins at Angel, her dimples flashing into view.
Angel takes a sip of her milkshake.
You recite:
 "Thank you all for coming.
It is an honor to speak with you."
Selame leans on Akeiro.
Mazrian nods in agreement.
Mazrian waves some strong black coffee around.
Vaddon shifts his weight.
Siendra gazes at you.
Selame says to you, "I busted out the snack baskets for you."
Selame eats some of the wings.
You smile at Selame.
Hanryu takes a sip of his beer.
You say to Selame, "It's appreciated."
Angel smiles at you.
Selame nods to you.
You say, "The warlord Krenze will invade the Crossing again, and I hoped we could share counsel to determine the best way to defend it."
Theale takes a bite of the venison.
Crobin's ears droop for a moment as he gazes sadly at Selame.
You say, "I would like to begin by sharing what we know about Krenze, and then using that knowledge to create a battle strategy that will benefit all defenders of the Crossing in the event of an attack."
Theale leans back against Khaelyn with a loving smile.
Miskton takes a sip of his rum.
Siendra gives a slight nod.
Angel gives a slight nod.
Selame angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Crobin.
Kolja came through a wide arch.
Xionara takes a sip of her rum.
You ask, "I wished to pose to all of us the question: what have we observed about Krenze?"
Selame smiles at Akeiro.
Kolja leans forward on her gloomwood cane, listening intently.
Crobin says, "He has a mean throwing arm."
Theale says, "He's not really that smart.."
Siendra asks, "Besides that he's a bit unhinged?"
Vaddon grins at Crobin.
You nod in agreement.
Etasia says, "He hits, kills and runs."
Akeiro says, "Actually, haven't seen him myself."
You nod to Etasia.
Deadly Shadow Darkgaze came through a wide arch.
Theale takes a bite of the venison.
Etasia nods to you.
Crobin waves to Darkgaze.
Ezerak dryly says, "He likes fire."
Angel says to you, "As I noted to you earlier, he doesn't seem to utilize Targeted Magic."
Darkgaze just kissed Angel.
Leayne dimples at Darkgaze.
You grin at Ezerak.
Darkgaze nods politely to Crobin.
Etasia nods at Ezerak, obviously agreeing with his views.
Khaelyn says to you, "I hate to admit but I'm a bit uniformed."
Darkgaze nods politely to Leayne.
You nod to Angel.
Angel bats her eyelashes.
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Angel stands up.
Xionara softly says, "I have not seen him yet either."
Angel points at some alluring high-heeled sandals fastened with spiraling black straps she has.
Karthor says, "Yet he's an oddly good sport, far's I can tell. Pickin' folks up off the ground, fer instance."
Angel kisses Darkgaze on the nose.
Angel sits down on the ironwood chair.
Karthor scratches his head.
Mazrian nods to Karthor.
Ezerak says, "That is unusual."
Crobin says, "I have been in many goblin areas trying to find where he may hideout at."
Mazrian says, "He takes some cues from us."
Siendra says, "He's a fire mage. Clearly not to be trusted."
Crobin says, "No luck though."
Leayne grins at Karthor, her dimples flashing into view.
Siendra flashes a quick grin at you.
You squint at Siendra.
Xionara flicks her ears back in obvious annoyance.
Angel pats an ironwood chair.
Crobin nods to Siendra.
You say, "I have noticed that Krenze is immune to debilitation and targeted magic. The spell patterns are shredded as they pass through what seems like three integrity wards."
Angel smiles at Darkgaze.
Selame offers Akeiro a red-chested songbird.
Akeiro accepts Selame's red-chested songbird.
Akeiro's face lights up with joy for Selame.
Darkgaze sits down on the ironwood chair.
Selame gets a glass of glowing absinthe from inside her thigh bag.
Akeiro viciously tears the wings off his songbird, discards them and then slowly peels the feathers and skin away from the legs, revealing fresh meat. Akeiro sinks his fangs into the poor creature as it shrieks painfully.
Akeiro grimaces in obvious pain, stunned.
Darkgaze leans on Angel.
Mazrian says, "I think he wants to... engage with our culture, for lack of a better way to describe it."
Selame offers Akeiro a glass of glowing absinthe.
Akeiro digs into the songbird's flesh, going after tender portions of meat under the feathers while avoiding its thrashing beak and feet.
Akeiro grimaces in obvious pain, stunned.
Akeiro accepts Selame's glowing absinthe.
Xionara nods to Siendra.
Angel asks you, "Has a Moon Mage scrutinized his aura?"
Ezerak says, "Perhaps that is why he doesn't use Targeted Magic. He can't get through his own wards."
Ezerak chuckles.
Golameth gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.
Golameth says, "It seems like he just wanted to burn everything and finds joy in it."
Angel raises her voice in merry laughter.
You shake your head.
Angel smiles at Ezerak.
Akeiro takes a sip of his absinthe.
Akeiro angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Golameth.
You say to Angel, "Not that I know of."
Akeiro says, "Fun times."
Akeiro grins at Golameth.
You ask Mazrian, "Can you say more, Mazrian?"
Hanryu takes a sip of his beer.
Angel says to you, "I would like to do that next time he is invading."
Xionara takes a sip of her rum.
You ask Mazrian, "He thinks of himself as an adventurer?"
Crobin nods to Angel.
You nod to Angel.
Selame offers Crobin a red-chested songbird.
Crobin accepts Selame's red-chested songbird.
Angel raises an eyebrow.
Leayne smiles at Crobin, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Mazrian says, "Krenze has spent some amount of time talking to adventurers, including me. I don't know that he thinks of himself as one, but he thinks he's using our language."
Angel raises an eyebrow in Crobin's direction.
Crobin wraps his arms around Selame, giving Selame a great big bear hug!
Siendra nods to Mazrian.
Crobin viciously tears the wings off his songbird, discards them and then slowly peels the feathers and skin away from the legs, revealing fresh meat. Crobin sinks his fangs into the poor creature as it shrieks painfully.
Angel says to Crobin, "If you eat that bird I will be very angry."
Angel scowls at Crobin.
Angel stands up.
Mazrian says, "He learns from each of our encounters. He doesn't seem to know a lot about how our society actually works."
Xionara takes a sip of her rum.
Mazrian says, "Hence, him demanding volcanos."
You nod to Mazrian.
Mazrian says, "Someone mentioned a Volcano around him, explained what it was, and he wanted one."
Siendra asks, "Does he want...what we have? In terms of lifestyle?"
Akeiro takes a sip of his absinthe.
Mazrian coughs.
Leayne takes a sip of her slush.
Ayrell chuckles at Mazrian.
Mazrian says, "I think he might want to just...have it and take a nap on it. I don't know that he'd value it per se for what it is."
Leayne pats Crobin on the back.
Darkgaze rubs Angel gently, massaging her muscles.
Siendra nods to Mazrian.
Karthor scratches his head.
Khaelyn leans back against Theale with a loving smile.
Mazrian says, "He's very clever but his particular perspective limits his ambition, a bit."
Mazrian says, "He wants a volcano and a dragon. They're big, cool, fire-related things."
Angel whispers something to Leayne.
Mazrian says, "...we can all respect that."
Mazrian coughs.
A tiny murder crow lifts its head and nuzzles Kolja's ear before warbling a heart-rending melody.
Siendra wrinkles her nose.
You grin.
Crobin looks at Mazrian and shrugs.
Theale grins at Mazrian.
Khaelyn says, "Aim big."
You take a sip of the rum. Mmm! The silky smooth blend of smoke and exotic spice wraps around your tongue like a flame in a slow dance as you sip your dark rum. Sweet honey helps to soothe the heat of pepper on your lips.
You nod to Khaelyn.
Etasia raises an eyebrow in Mazrian's direction.
Mazrian says, "But he likely doesn't have a long-term plan or possibly any plan."
Selame smirks at Akeiro.
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Hanryu asks, "'Besides the mostly mindless minons he rolls into town with, does he have any associates?"
Crobin says, "Lets be honest."
Mazrian says to Golameth, "Other than show up, burn stuff, and have fun with doing that."
Siendra says, "It seems there must be a way to trick him..."
Crobin says, "Plans are for mad scientists and bridge builders."
You say, "It is my view that he cannot be trusted, and even if he were to acquire his demands, he would inevitably grow bored and attack."
Golameth grins at Mazrian.
Mazrian nods to you.
Theale takes a bite of the venison.
Siendra asks, "Someone show him the ethereal fissure and he has his own volcano, yes?"
Golameth says, "He made it pretty clear thats what he wanted to do one of those nights."
Mazrian says, "Almost certainly. Leaving aside that no one has a Dragon OR a Volcano to give him.."
You nod to Mazrian.
Ayrell says, "I do not even think one would have to wait until he became bored. I believe, even if he received what he wanted, he would likely still attack."
Miskton says, "I haven't spoken with him enough to have a sure opinion, but appearing to have simple plans in order to make people underestimate you is a potential tactic that can be taken."
Mazrian says to Siendra, "It might be possible...at least worth trying...to convince him to walk through a fissure into the Plane of Fire."
Akeiro's tail undulates lazily through the air.
Mazrian chuckles.
You nod at Ayrell, in complete agreement with her views.
Xionara softly says, "Ah.. actually, I do have a dragon familiar, but I wouldn't give it to him."
Xionara softly says, "Lure him with it, that I would do."
Darkgaze rubs Angel gently, massaging her muscles.
Mazrian nods to Miskton.
You blink at Xionara.
Siendra grins at Mazrian.
Selame giggles at Xionara.
You grin at Xionara.
Darkgaze stands up.
Akeiro grins.
Mazrian says to Miskton, "That seems very possible."
Darkgaze joins Angel's group.
You say to Xionara, "That may prove a useful strategy."
Ayrell says, "If I may, I believe the lure idea would likely only incite him more."
You say, "He seems relatively easy to goad."
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Ezerak nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
Siendra asks, "Are his forces well trained?"
You nod to Siendra.
Crobin says, "A bit well trained."
Siendra says, "Impressive."
Crobin says, "But there are always so many of them."
Mazrian says, "Come to that, it's probably possible to get him to leave the city to fight just by saying "Hey, we'll all be over here."
Lunar Princess Angel's group went through a wide arch.
Akeiro ponders.
Xionara softly says to Ayrell, "He's already attacking the Crossing... I do not think diplomacy is going to be effective. But as Mazrian says, we can probably control the location of the battlefield."
Mazrian says, "And moving north along the road to wait. It worked at least once."
You nod to Mazrian.
Ayrell says to Xionara, "I am certainly not suggesting diplomacy."
Ayrell smiles at Xionara.
Leayne hugs Crobin, who wraps his arms around Leayne with a warm smile.
Xionara grins at Ayrell.
You say to Mazrian, "It's worth trying, I think."
Xionara takes a sip of her rum.
Crobin wraps his arms around Leayne in a loving hug.
Mazrian nods to you.
Leayne takes a sip of her slush.
Mazrian says, "At least as a way to minimize civilian casualties."
Crobin says, "I think he has a thing for Mazrian."
You nod in agreement.
Mazrian says, "And avoid creating more orphans."
Crobin says, "Even showed up to try and return a javelin of his one time."
Mazrian glances at Crobin.
Leayne grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.
Etasia grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.
Mazrian dryly says, "And missed."
Siendra asks, "Is there a battleground we could set that might pose a weakness to him without handicapping ourselves?"
Ayrell says, "I am just saying that if a lure is attempted, by telling him you have what he wants and leading him somewhere to ambush him, it will only anger him more, thus potentially making the inevitable attack worse."
Theale says, "Lure him up to the Greater Fist..."
Crobin says, "But he was nice enough to return it."
Theale says, "At least there's a volcano there to tempt him with."
Golameth asks, "What if we got him something with a volcano on it?"
Hanryu takes a sip of his beer.
Etasia grins at Golameth, her dimples flashing into view.
Selame says, "I can paint him a pretty volcano."
Ezerak says, "Or a mound of dirt, tell him it's a volcano."
Selame nods to Golameth.
Akeiro asks Golameth, "Like a snow globe?"
Mazrian says, "If it spat lava, he'd probably be into it."
Mazrian nods to Golameth.
You grin.
Leayne softly says, "There are those gummy dragons too."
Leayne giggles.
Golameth nods to Akeiro.
You say, "Another thing I've noticed is that Krenze seems very resistant to physical attacks. It reminds me a bit of the effects of the Empath spell Iron Constitution."
Crobin nods to Leayne.
Golameth says, "A snow globe would be amazing."
Crobin says, "Penrhyn had those."
Theale says, "Shove him in the gate of souls and barricade the boulder."
Siendra says to Mazrian, "I don't think we're going to let him keep you, though."
Leayne nods.
Khaelyn giggles at Theale.
Mazrian says to Siendra, "I'm not really the kind you keep, anyway."
Mazrian dusts himself off.
Hanryu asks, "Besides making demands for dragons and volcanoes, is there anything that he values enough that we could turn it against him?"
Mazrian says, "I don't think so, Hanryu. He's a goblin. They don't really seem to understand possessions beyond "it's not nailed down and you can't stop me taking it."
Miskton takes a sip of his rum.
Crobin smiles at Mazrian.
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Crobin says, "I know people like that."
You say to Hanryu, "He seems to delight in the trappings of power: titles, clothing - that sort of thing, but I don't think he understands it. But he is very powerful, beyond a doubt."
Xionara takes a sip of her rum.
Mazrian says, "He would probably be happy enough in other circumstances to get drunk on apple wine and pass out in a field after burning down some farm houses."
Leayne takes a sip of her slush.
Mazrian nods to you.
You say to Mazrian, "Earlier, perhaps. But his recent letter makes me think he's gaining ambition - at least as much as he can concieve."
Hanryu says, "Does he carry favors with the Gods? I've seen him struck down, but he does seem to keep coming bakc."
Mazrian says, "Perhaps. It's possible his horizons have broadened from being around us."
Crobin says, "I think it is more he thinks a volcano and dragon would give him...fame then anything."
Khaelyn asks, "How often has he attacked?"
You gaze at Hanryu.
You say to Hanryu, "You anticipated one of my questions."
Hanryu chuckles.
Crobin nods to Hanryu.
You ask, "Has anyone noticed how Krenze has been able to revive himself after he's been slain?"
Theale takes a bite of the venison.
Crobin says, "I have asked a few times why he attacks the empath guild so much most of the time."
Mazrian says, "That's a good question. Nothing I've seen speaks to it either way."
Hanryu says, "I mean, I don't cotton to bargining with goblins. I'd rather find a way to put it down for good."
Ayrell nods at Hanryu, obviously agreeing with his views.
Khaelyn grins at Hanryu.
Crobin says, "One time a fire portal opened and pulled him through."
Etasia blinks at Crobin.
Akeiro says, "Ooh."
Hanryu ponders.
Selame blinks at Crobin.
Crobin says, "I think he is attacking cause they are learning."
Crobin says, "I have a feeling they are gaining knowledge from us."
Mazrian says, "For good or ill."
Crobin says, "Learning how the moons move, how to open portals, how our empaths can take wounds."
Mazrian nods in agreement.
Crobin says, "Clerics bringing back the dead."
Crobin taps a curving bloodwood branch that he is holding.
You ask Crobin, "A fire portal opened and pulled him through?"
Leayne takes a sip of her slush.
Crobin says, "I believe so yes."
You frown.
Selame gets a tiny tower-shaped glass of Crystal Tequila garnished with a twist of lime from inside her thigh bag.
Selame takes a sip of her Tequila.
Crobin says, "Like I say...it is like his people are learning with the attacks."
Hanryu says, "That's very interesting. I wonder who's opening those portals."
You say, "It would be a considerable advantage to know if he is being revived by favors, necromancy, or some other means."
Mazrian says, "The goblin shamans know some lunar magic."
Ezerak ponders.
Crobin says, "I am trying to find his hide out."
Crobin says, "But he is very well hidden."
Akeiro quietly asks Golameth, "You down to jump through next time a fire portal opens?"
Akeiro angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Golameth.
Selame laughs!
Mazrian says, "I imagine it's possible they have some who know enough to manage a portal."
Ezerak says, "Well, I suppose that's one way to get some answers."
Ezerak chuckles.
Mazrian flashes a quick grin.
Siendra thoughtfully says, "I'm torn...while we can't let goblins simply rise amongst us in hostility, the route they are taking in their own evolution makes a full out war against them feel a bit dirty."
Crobin says, "My goblin is a bit broken in what I know, but I have been in the fields listening, and though they speak of him...I have not found the hole he stays in."
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Golameth says to Akeiro, "Only if you come with to stink the place up with burnt fur."
Golameth nods to Akeiro.
You ask Ezerak, "Send Golameth into the portal?"
Etasia grins at Mazrian, her dimples flashing into view.
Etasia chuckles at you!
Akeiro nods at Golameth, obviously agreeing with his views.
Akeiro says, "We'll go in."
Ezerak says to you, "Well, anyone who might survive long enough."
Etasia appears to be trying hard not to grin.
Akeiro quietly says to Selame, "With marshmellows."
Ezerak chuckles.
Akeiro winks at Selame.
Crobin says, "I will go as well Akeiro."
Xionara shudders.
Crobin says, "If you will have me."
Selame looks at Akeiro and drools.
Mazrian says, "We know some things that are useful, at least. His minions are goblins. They fight like goblins, and we know how to deal with that."
You say to Siendra, "I think the goblins would be easily subdued without Krenze. He is truly a force to be reckoned with."
Siendra gives a slight nod.
You nod to Mazrian.
Crobin nods to Siendra.
Akeiro says, "I feel like Madigan should also go into the fire portal."
Mazrian says, "Krenze himself as a powerful elementalist who prefers fire but can do other things."
Akeiro nods.
Selame holds her hand out towards Akeiro for a highfive.
Akeiro and Selame highfive each other.
Etasia says, "I would go also if opportunity arose."
Crobin says, "I will talk to him about it for you Akeiro."
Mazrian says, "He likes to run around using Electrostatic Eddy, for example."
Leayne shivers.
Xionara scowls.
Ezerak ponders.
Mazrian says, "He prefers to attack with two hammers constructed of fire."
Mazrian says, "And likely knows some other elemental magic."
You ask Mazrian, "I've never seen him use targeted magic, maybe on account of his resistance to it. Have you?"
Siendra asks, "And we don't know who he's learned this all from?"
Selame nods at Akeiro, obviously agreeing with his views.
Siendra frowns.
Mazrian looks at Siendra and coughs.
Ezerak says, "One thing that goblins seem to understand and respect is power. Perhaps some sort of display of power might get him to reconsider? Though if learning is his motivation, that might not be the best idea."
Mazrian says to you, "Not yet, but we know the shamans know some. He probaby just prefers his hammers."
Golameth says, "He has used target magic."
Siendra cocks her head at Mazrian.
You glance at Golameth, a male Elf.
Selame sticks her tongue out at Akeiro.
Golameth says, "Tiny little fireballs go flying around."
Mazrian nods in agreement.
Mazrian says, "The ones that set everyone in the area on fire."
You say, "Ah."
Golameth ponders.
Crobin says, "Is that targeted."
Crobin says, "Or just like."
Akeiro says, "Sounds like a theme."
Crobin says, "Here you go."
Hanryu asks, "Since he's got such a strong connection to fire, is there some way to cut him off from that source of power?"
Golameth asks, "Maybe Gar Zeng also?"
(Crobin acts like he is tossing things in the air)
Selame nods to Akeiro.
Mazrian says, "It's something. Goblin magic is different. It seems like standard elemental stuff, but onlys eems that way."
Ezerak says to Hanryu, "Not sure there's a way to do that, short of Convincing the Lord of the Void."
Ezerak chuckles.
Hanryu nods to Ezerak.
Ayrell nods at Ezerak, obviously agreeing with his views.
You say to Hanryu, "We're thinking in the same direction."
Mazrian says, "We do know there are some things we can do to fight him."
Golameth says, "I am not the magic expert here...kinda."
Leayne takes a sip of her slush.
Selame grins at Golameth.
Mazrian says, "He is VERY strongly warded much of the time, but those wards can be broken with enough persistance."
Crobin nods to Golameth.
Kolja mutters something into the air.
Mazrian says, "It takes a lot of doing."
Golameth says, "Ice patch....he does use ice patch."
Crobin asks, "Can we break his wards with magics?"
You say, "The source of his ability to revive himself and resist magic seems unknown. I would very much like to know if it comes from a divine source."
Mazrian says, "Oh, fantastic. He's learned."
Crobin asks, "Or is it more slamming weapons into him over and over again?"
Mazrian gives Golameth a wry grin.
Mazrian says, "It's both, Crobin."
You say to Crobin, "I've never tried to Ward Break him."
Theale takes a bite of the venison.
Xionara softly says, "His wards will have to come down first, I think."
Golameth coughs.
Etasia gets some Kygar's roast coffee from inside her leucro hide pack.
Mazrian says, "Slam enough spells or damage into him, and the wards will eventually come down."
Akeiro nods to Golameth.
Carnage Darling Dantia came through a wide arch.
Golameth says, "I can not ward break, rend, or hulp him."
Akeiro waves to Dantia.
Crobin says, "I have abilities to eat wards...I will trya nd sneak up to him next time and just stand there for a few bit and eat them if I can."
Dantia smiles.
Dantia quietly says, "Pardon my tardiness."
Leayne smiles at Dantia, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Crobin just hugged Dantia.
Ezerak asks, "Er, I know this is a bit on the nose, but have you tried setting him on fire?"
Dantia stands near Mazrian.
Dantia touches Mazrian with a confident grace and heartfelt smile.
An almost visible connection between Dantia and Mazrian seems to thrum through the air.
You say, "But it would make little difference if he was able to revive himself quickly, as he has been in the past."
Xionara smirks at Ezerak.
Mazrian says to Ezerak, "Yes. It's very satisfying."
You smile at Dantia.
Ezerak nods to Mazrian.
Etasia smiles at Dantia, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Siendra bows to Dantia.
Theale asks, "Any chance anyone has tried to dispel his wards?"
Mazrian nods to Theale.
Dantia nods to Theale.
You respectfully say to Dantia, "You made it. Thanks for joining us."
Xionara softly asks, "Does he take any more damage to cold or ice attacks, or is this something we don't know?"
Akeiro taps a regal diamondwood scepter capped with a trilliant-cut Sunderstone that he is holding.
Xionara scratches one ear, looking bemused.
Mazrian says, "At the very least I can't do it, and I don't know of anyone who has done it, individually."
Khaelyn waves to Dantia.
Crobin says, "Dantia is good at fashionably late."
You see Carnage Darling Dantia, Rallying Point of Therengia, a Human Empath.
A diffuse, honey-colored light undulates lazily across her skin, swirling and eddying with every movement.
Dantia has a delicate face, resplendent emerald eyes and a freckled nose. Her radiant red-gold hair is long and interspersed with strands of copper and honey, and is worn loose. She has fair skin and a slender figure.
She is petite for a Human.
She appears to be middle-aged.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a clingy white gossamer gown embroidered with silver filigree, a pair of gleaming silver wings with sharpened pinions, a delicate silver necklace suspending a tiny pink diamond dahlia, a pair of daintily winged ankle boots with white gossamer and silver accents and a pristine white Therengian rose.
Crobin winks at Dantia.
Mazrian says, "But casting at him enough will take them down."
Dantia nods to Mazrian.
Mazrian says, "As will just hitting him with sharp things until he gets hurt."
Crobin says, "So if we had a group of mages all bombard him at the same time with ward break would work then."
Golameth says, "So does covering him in acid."
You say to Xionara, "Because he resists targeted magic so well, it's difficult to say."
Crobin says, "Oh I have sharp things."
Mazrian holds his hand out towards Golameth for a highfive.
Vaddon nods at Crobin, obviously agreeing with his views.
Dantia says, "I've attempted to Ward break him back to back about three or four times with no success. At that point, I have to go back to healing."
Dantia chuckles.
Akeiro asks Golameth, "What about poison?"
Golameth and Mazrian highfive each other.
Ezerak says to Golameth, "I wondered about that as well."
Xionara takes a sip of her rum.
Dantia closes her eyes for a moment and grows still.
Xionara frowns at you.
Xionara nods.
Mazrian says, "I think there are two keys to engaging him with success. The first is to go at him in large groups."
Mazrian says, "And not individually."
You nod in agreement.
Mazrian says, "We need the weight of fire to take his wards down and actually hurt him."
Crobin nods to Mazrian.
Hanryu takes a sip of his beer.
You say, "Let us speak then of strategy."
You say, "Based on his previous invasions, Krenze will likely attack with his champions and veterans, while roaming the battlefield, burning people and attacking with his flaming hammer."
Crobin asks, "Do you finger wagglers have a way to dispell things that are about to be cast?"
Akeiro angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Crobin.
Mazrian shakes his head at Crobin.
Siendra grins at Crobin.
Siendra waggles her fingers mystically at Crobin. How nice.
Xionara softly says, "Yes, unless we tell him to show up with a small retinue so he can come inspect his new dragon. Or his new volcano."
Dantia says to Mazrian, "His tactics lately have been to actively try to pick people off individually, going so far as to chase an individual for a while."
Vaddon grins at Xionara.
You grin at Xionara.
Crobin shivers.
Mazrian nods to Dantia.
Etasia says, "I kept fire rain up, but all was hectic, not sure how much it damaged him."
You nod to Etasia.
Akeiro says, "So set up an individual as bait."
Crobin says, "I was able to stab him quite a few times."
Golameth asks, "Do you need to barrow some running sandals to keep up?"
Golameth leans on Dantia.
Mazrian says, "Ah, that's useful. Means once he's annoyed we don't have to look for him."
Crobin says, "But then he decided to remove me from the fight."
Dantia grins at Golameth.
You nod to Mazrian.
Mazrian nods to Akeiro.
You say, "He is very susceptible to taunts. It is definitely a weakness we can exploit."
Theale says, "Hrm. We could all throw some naptha at him if someone were successful in actually setting him on fire."
Akeiro says, "Also self described as succeptible to bribes that involve dragons and volcanos."
Akeiro nods.
Theale rubs his hands together.
Karthor chuckles.
Mazrian says, "His hammers usually don't kill in one hit. If the group is on the ball, his target can often escape. Making him shift focus while he gets damaged is the way to win, ultimately."
Crobin asks, "Who just carries that much Naptha on them?"
Akeiro quietly says to Selame, "Which, I am, too."
Crobin smiles.
Crobin says, "Oh wait."
Crobin says, "Nm."
Mazrian looks at Crobin and coughs.
Golameth says, "So next time we should tell Krenze that Madigan told Mazrian he bets the lady goblins can cast bigger fireballs then his."
Dantia chuckles.
You grin at Golameth.
Mazrian chuckles.
Selame quietly says to Akeiro, "Noted..."
Etasia chuckles.
Selame winks at Akeiro.
Crobin chuckles.
Selame laughs at Golameth.
Mazrian says, "That's a good one."
Mazrian nods at Golameth, obviously agreeing with his views.
Xionara shakes her head.
Xionara begins chortling at Golameth.
You say, "In my view, we will have two objectives: minimize damage to adventurers and the people of the Crossing, and exhaust Krenze himself, since permanently destroying him does not seem to be within our power."
Khaelyn grins.
Xionara softly says, "Boo."
You ask, "For the first objective, will it possible and useful to maintain triage in the empath guild hospital, where most people will go if they are in trouble?"
Golameth says, "Douse him with water."
Golameth says, "See if he metls."
Xionara begins chortling at Golameth.
Khaelyn says, "Holy water? On it."
Dantia whispers something to Mazrian.
Theale grins at Khaelyn.
You chuckle.
Dantia nibbles her lip thoughtfully.
Mazrian dryly says, "The question is probably "is it possible to get people to NOT heal there in particular." and the answer, historically, has been no."
You smile at Khaelyn.
You nod to Mazrian.
Mazrian whispers something to Dantia.
Leayne nods.
Dantia nods at Mazrian, obviously agreeing with his views.
Dantia grins at Mazrian.
You say to Mazrian, "That was my thought too, so I'm curious if we could banner it."
Theale takes a bite of the venison.
Karthor says, "Maybe if yer loud enough about it bein' somewhere else, he'll leave the real one alone."
Crobin says, "I think he enjoys targeting the empath guild at the start."
Leayne nods to you.
Karthor scratches his head.
Crobin says, "It lures people in very quick."
Mazrian nods to you.
You say, "It does, but that's where everyone will go - I myself go there when I'm hurt."
Selame gets a sausage roll from atop a creamy white damask cloth.
You say, "If it's bannered, Krenze may leave it alone. I've not seen him shred a banner yet."
Xionara softly says, "That's where everyone goes because it's not been established to do otherwise."
Xionara sighs.
You nod to Xionara.
Mazrian says, "As far as triage goes, the best we can likely do is start in the Courtyard then drag people down to the Healerie when it gets overrun."
Crobin says, "I am sure he will find a way Tirost."
Selame offers Akeiro a lobster and radish sainyuso roll drizzled with creamy coconut lime dressing.
Leayne takes a deep breath, looking serene and determined.
Xionara softly says, "If you want to change tactics, you have to assign places with ... code names, and let people gather triage at those points."
Akeiro accepts Selame's radish sainyuso roll.
Akeiro kisses Selame on the nose.
Akeiro takes a bite of the roll.
Akeiro taps an indurium phoenix with eyes of canary diamond that he is holding.
Akeiro takes a bite of the roll.
You say to Xionara, "I thought about that too, but came to the conclusion that it may be better to work with what people know."
Selame takes a sip of her Tequila.
Xionara softly says, "Then you can safely call out on the gweth, go to the red room, or something like that, which means a place pre-determined."
Leayne softly says, "It would be hard to get the word out to so many."
Akeiro takes a bite of the roll.
Siendra says to Xionara, "The only problem there becomes a lot of people needing to know, and a bigger chance he learns."
Selame takes a sip of her Tequila.
You nod to Leayne.
You say to Leayne, "My thought as well."
Xionara softly says, "Well, if you want people to heal other places, you have to establish those places somehow."
Selame takes a sip of her Tequila.
Crobin nods to Xionara.
Ayrell stands near Ezerak.
Selame takes a sip of her Tequila.
Xionara softly asks, "But what is the plan? Are we to lure him?"
Leayne softly says, "I was healing in the Courtyard and wasn't being attacked durinng one of his attacks."
Mazrian says, "Perhaps some interested Empaths could coordinate to set up a secondary site? Some OBF members could head that up."
Theale nods to Khaelyn.
Ezerak smiles at Ayrell, revealing the dimples in his cheeks.
Leayne nods to Dantia.
Dantia smiles at Leayne.
You nod to Mazrian.
Kolja says, "Have ya all figured out how to put him down permanantly yet? He seems to be getting back up over and over, wonder if he's got a Immortal he favors or somethin'."
Mazrian shakes his head at Kolja.
Theale enfolds Khaelyn in a warm embrace.
Mazrian says, "Likely there's no way to put him down permanently."
Crobin asks, "Do you think Goblins use the same we do...or do they have their own?"
Theale smooches Khaelyn all over her face.
You say to Kolja, "That is a central question. I'd spoken to Navesi about this meeting, and hoped she might join us to share her thoughts."
Khaelyn giggles.
Crobin says, "Immortals that is."
Khaelyn enfolds Theale in a warm embrace.
Kolja nods to you.
Hanryu says, "Might be good to set up something that's accesible via the escape tunnel system. Since when Krenze is around the streets are often crowded."
Ezerak says to Crobin, "Interesting and frightening question."
Crobin says, "I mean."
Xionara softly says, "Ah, I hope that is not the case Mazrian. I do not relish another battle against the same enemy without end."
Theale raises his hand in a quick salute.
Mazrian ponders.
Crobin says, "Surely they have their own group they believe grant them powers."
Forest Wizard Theale went through a wide arch.
Crobin nods to Ezerak.
Mazrian dryly says, "That is the recent history of the five provinces, Xionara."
You say, "It's my belief that if the gods are reviving Krenze, Khaelyn might be able to shift his favor."
Siendra asks, "Is there any way to convince him to another talk, using his ego to our advantage?"
You quietly say, "I've seen her literally drink holy water..."
Xionara softly says to Mazrian, "It doesn't mean I have to like it."
Xionara smirks.
Dantia gets a fluted glass of sparkling white wine from atop a creamy white damask cloth.
Mazrian nods in agreement.
Dantia takes a sip of her wine.
Khaelyn grins at you.
Siendra exclaims, ""Krenze, you are so very impressive! How do you do what you do!"
You smile at Khaelyn.
Akeiro takes a bite of the roll.
Dantia chuckles.
Miskton says, "There's probably a few gods out there who wouldn't mind helping him out a bit for the sake of destruction or just a bit of chaos."
Mazrian says to Siendra, "If someone just invited him somewhere to chat, he'd likely go. That has happened at least twice."
Khaelyn says to you, "It's good for the soul."
Crobin gazes intently into his sanowret crystal, and scintillating sparks of light dance across its surface.
Miskton takes a sip of his rum.
Crobin ponders.
Leayne takes a sip of her slush.
Crobin says, "Think I will continue searching the goblin areas."
You say to Siendra, "He'd likely engage, but his attention span is not long, and his nature, I think, is best thought of as fire."
Etasia nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.
You chuckle at Khaelyn.
Siendra says, "Then like fire, it can be fed."
You say to Khaelyn, "If only I didn't enjoy alcohol so much..."
Crobin says, "I mean...if you want his attention just try and talk to him on the gweth."
Crobin says, "He seems to use it often enough t times."
Mazrian says, "A good track to take might be to use words to lure him somewhere it's safe to fight, away from triage and the non-combatants."
You nod to Mazrian.
Dantia nods to Mazrian.
Golameth asks Mazrian, "How good are you with a pike?"
You say, "And I agree that a large group has been effective in fighting him."
Xionara softly asks, "Is there a place where the elemental magic is weak, that we can lure him?"
Mazrian says to Golameth, "About as good as someone can be."
Mazrian flashes a quick grin.
Xionara softly says, "I haven't wandered about lately, but maybe that would be adventageous."
Ezerak says to Golameth, "He's better with a trout."
Golameth scratches his head.
Etasia chuckles at Ezerak.
Mazrian says, "The same gweth conversation could be a call to rally to that same spot."
Mazrian says, "We could pick, just for instance, the cemetery in front of the mausoleum."
Golameth asks, "So you think you could hit Krenze with one?"
Selame quietly asks Akeiro, "Think we could lure him in with a volcano of bonbons?"
You ask Dantia, "How difficult is it for an empath to keep up with Krenze in terms of healing both burns and his hammer?"
Mazrian carefully says, "I'd be no worse at killing him with a Pike than with anything else."
Akeiro nods at Selame, obviously agreeing with her views.
Golameth says, "Might let you barrow this mana saping pike, see how he likes having no mana."
Dantia says to you, "Healing the wounds Krenze puts out can be done by a single attentive Empath. However, the larger the group, the greater the impact of fire."
Mazrian says to Golameth, "Last time I dueled him, we fought to a draw and then his head exploded. So, a little inconclusive."
Dantia says, "Quite a number of people neglect to stop and roll when instructed."
Leayne nods to Dantia.
You nod to Dantia.
Mazrian nods to Golameth.
(Crobin avoids looking at Dantia)
Ezerak asks Mazrian, "Exploded, you say?"
Khaelyn says, "I guess unless he enjoys long walks up wyvern mountain, I wont run into him."
Dantia smiles at Crobin.
Mazrian says, "That could work. Also, a mana-sapping pike sounds fun."
You flash a quick grin at Crobin.
Mazrian says to Ezerak, "Indeed."
Ezerak says to Mazrian, "Just...at random? Or..."
Etasia says to Dantia, "Water globe works well for mages anyway also."
Mazrian says, "I mean, I'd like to say it was something I did, but it just as well could have been a hell of a sneeze."
Mazrian looks at Ezerak and shrugs.
Xionara begins chortling at Mazrian.
Dantia smiles at Etasia.
Ezerak chuckles.
Etasia smiles at Dantia, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Selame giggles at Mazrian.
Ezerak says, "My mother always said not to hold them in."
Dantia says to Etasia, "Wonderful! Every little bit helps."
Etasia gives a slight nod.
Crobin says, "Be nice if we could put him in a gunny sack and then swing it at a tree three or four dozen times."
Leayne giggles at Crobin.
Khaelyn grins at Crobin.
Xionara rubs her head.
Mazrian gazes thoughtfully at you.
Selame leans over and scratches Akeiro's back.
You ask, "If Krenze's defenses work like Iron Constitution, would it be wiser to attack Krenze with lighter, faster attacks because of his defenses?"
Akeiro nods.
Crobin says, "When I fought him I noticed starting with a backstab worked well."
Crobin says, "Then I jabbed his chest over and voer again as quick as I could."
You nod to Crobin.
Ezerak says to you, "If that is the case, yes. Preferably focused on say, the chest or back."
You nod to Ezerak.
Xionara frowns.
Selame angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Xionara.
Dantia nods at Etasia, obviously agreeing with her views.
Etasia smiles at Dantia, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
You thoughtfully say, "Though if he revives quickly, we may need to ask ourselves if destroying him as quickly as possible is the best means of achieving our goals."
Crobin says, "Is there a way to close a portal after it opens/."
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Siendra says, "We certainly wouldn't get to learn much more from him if he can't talk."
Akeiro says, "Unbend."
Akeiro nods to Crobin.
Mazrian says to you, "In general, killing him enough seems to make him go away."
Mazrian shrugs.
Crobin says, "Be ready for that if he does get dropped then."
You say to Siendra, "He talks a lot, but he strikes me as an agent of chaos - a being of immense power that doesn't derive from planning or skill."
Crobin asks, "Has it been the same number of times when he attacks?"
You say to Mazrian, "That's a great question."
Mazrian asks, "Usually three? I think?"
Mazrian says, "Or if not kills, then engagements."
You ask Mazrian, "Does he suffer some sort of diminishing returns in reviving himself, like so many other things in our world?"
Siendra ponders.
Dantia takes a sip of her wine.
Mazrian says, "I don't know. Conditions are usually too chaotic for gathering that kind of information. He may just get bored."
You nod to Mazrian.
Akeiro takes a sip of his absinthe.
Akeiro leans over and scratches Selame's back.
Dantia nods to Mazrian.
Selame trills softly at Akeiro.
You smile.
Dantia says, "His goal is chaos and his motivation is typically boredom."
Mazrian dryly says, "Generally, though, between killing something and not killing it, killing it seems to make it go away the fastest."
Siendra says, "What about some form of game to direct his attention? If he is chaotically bored."
Mazrian nods at Dantia, obviously agreeing with her views.
You glance at Siendra, a female Rakash.
Selame grins at Akeiro.
Dantia says to Siendra, "You'd have to catch him before he goes into killing mode."
Crobin asks, "Seigery?"
Siendra says, "One that we obviously hold the winning hand to."
You say to Siendra, "Seems worth pursuing."
Khaelyn asks, "Like a nice game of dodge the holy bolts?"
Crobin says, "I know it puts me to sleep."
Leayne grins at Crobin, her dimples flashing into view.
Hanryu says, "Well I've got to run, but if alternate rally and triage points are set up, please holler."
Siendra exclaims to Dantia, "Yes, that would be the ope!"
Siendra says, "Hope, even."
Mazrian says, "Literally inviting him somewhere out of the way to throw dice might work. It doesn't have to be deep."
Etasia grins at Khaelyn, her dimples flashing into view.
Hanryu stretches his arms.
Hanryu waves.
Mazrian grins.
Hanryu says, "Safe paths everyone."
You wave to Hanryu.
Ayrell nods politely to Hanryu.
Karthor waves to Hanryu.
Dantia smiles at Hanryu.
Siendra waves to Hanryu.
Etasia waves to Hanryu.
You say, "Take care, Hanryu."
Khaelyn waves to Hanryu.
Hunter Hanryu went through a wide arch.
Akeiro takes a sip of his absinthe.
Karthor says, "It's about time fer me to wander off too, I'm afraid. Take care folks."
Akeiro waves to Karthor.
Karthor adjusts the fit of his spectacles.
Etasia snaps to attention and hails Karthor with a crisp hand salute.
You nod to Karthor.
Karthor waves.
Xionara frowns.
Ayrell nods politely to Karthor.
Leayne waves to Karthor.
Selame waves to Karthor.
Xionara softly says, "We haven't even established a strategy yet."
Leayne nods to Crobin.
Etasia takes a sip of her coffee.
Crobin waves to Karthor.
You say, "Farewell, Karthor. Thank you for joining us."
Karthor smiles.
Dantia takes a sip of her wine.
Karthor raises his hand in a quick salute.
Bastion of Life Karthor went through a wide arch.
Etasia smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.
Crobin says, "We may need another meeting just about how to fight him."
You nod to Crobin.
Leayne softly says, "It's a start."
Mazrian asks, "I mean...the broad outline is simple, right? Let me propose this in 30 seconds?"
Akeiro says to Crobin, "Just whack em till he quits moving."
You say, "It is. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and council."
Akeiro nods.
Siendra says, "We fight fire with fire, or water. I offer the latter happily."
Mazrian says, "Krenze shows up, someone gweths "meet us in front of the caravin hitch outside Berolt's."
Crobin nods to Akeiro.
You nod to Mazrian.
Mazrian says, "Everyone who is going to mob up on him meets up there."
Mazrian says, "Have the fight THERE."
Mazrian says, "And everyone try not to die."
Siendra grins at Mazrian.
Mazrian says, "...that's basically it."
Mazrian grins.
You chuckle at Mazrian.
Etasia grins at Mazrian, her dimples flashing into view.
Xionara softly asks, "And where is there?"
Etasia laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.
You say to Mazrian, "I like that idea."
Khaelyn says, "An excellent plan."
Ezerak says, "Simple. Simple is good."
Dantia nods to Mazrian.
Mazrian says, "Ah, and consider Ethereal Shield if you're going to engage him directly. It softens up those hammers a lot."
Xionara softly asks, "And who is primarily engaging? Mazrian, Crobin, others who have beaten him down?"
Etasia nods at Mazrian, obviously agreeing with his views.
Xionara softly asks, "While the rest of us hit and hope we dont get set on fire?"
Mazrian says to Xionara, "For the sake of simplicity, I think outside the path to Berolt's is actually a good spot."
Crobin ponders.
Mazrian says, "And EVERYONE needs to pile in, to break his wards."
Crobin says, "Need a finger waggler friend to put that on me then."
Mazrian says, "For the most part, I think anyone should be able to hit him."
Mazrian says, "And he's able to hit just about everyone else."
You nod to Mazrian.
Xionara nods.
You say, "He seems easy to hit, but hard to hit hard."
Mazrian says, "So the more people sending damage his way, the more quickly he'll go down."
Dantia says, "He also prefers to flee when he's getting low."
