Description

About as long as a Halfling is tall, this river caiman is a dull olive-green, with faded black spots and a slightly yellowish color along its underbelly. The common name derives from the bony ridge along the front of the eyes, lending it the appearance of wearing spectacles. It's common to spot these creatures from the decks of ships and barges along the Faldesu as they bask in the sun or float lazily in the water. They're usually not aggressive, but have been known to get particularly ravenous when food supplies are low -- unfortunately, this specimen seems to fall in this latter category.

From the anatomy chart

Nearly four feet in length, the river caiman is a dull green color, designed to blend with the river water and banks it travels. A bony ridge over its eyes protects the creature from water debris, and the yellowish underbelly allows it to hide from any predators that may be swimming beneath.

Work quickly once they've been killed. If you don't skin and loot them fast enough, the living caimans will grab the dead and drag them away with this messaging: The unengaged river caiman drags the body of the dead one away to be cannibalized.

These are great for training over rocktrolls. Defenses were in high 90's and 4 rock trolls could kick the crap out of me, but wouldn't get my higher defenses above dabbling. These I can take on three at a time and with 4 they mostly land glancing and brushing, but lock my Defense quickly. Defenses begin to train very slowly at 118-120. Hard cap hiding at 112.-Glause

whilst still better than Rock Trolls(1) these now teach at much lesser ranks. Armor (84) and evasion (88) trained ok but weapons (75), TM/Debilitation (87) and parry/shield (90) didn't move. in fact these now equate to Blood Wolves(Langenfirth)[Sept 2014]
