>>Also I've been counseled by GMs in multiple consults that 1 warning isn't sufficient. They have to be repeatedly warned and made absolutely clear that their actions will result in their death. One time I gave 5-6 warnings and I was still admonished to be careful.

Speaking for myself at least, I really advocate the use of WARN COMBAT simply because it will be logged and if someone reports someone else it serves as undeniable proof that party A did inform party B of his or her intentions, whether or not party B accepted or declined the warning.

You can say, "I warned Bob five times to stop arranging my hair into pigtails, and he ignored my warnings so I pulled his entrails out through his nose," but we have no (easy) way to verify whether or not any of that is true. Bob may claim that you walked into the room, punched him in half, and then left without a single word.

So then we end up in yon consultation suite telling Bob's entrail yanker to please be very careful in making sure his intentions are plain when he gets into fights, and please please use warn combat please for the love of god.

Plus, if you end up with someone who lobs a warn interact/harassment in response to your warn combat, well, you can be pretty sure what will happen if you do kill them. How you proceed is up to you, but at that point I'd seriously consider just cutting my losses and punching some textual puppies or adding the person to my gags file. Sometimes it's just not worth it.
