The Warrior Mage's Guild has continued its investigations into the recent incident along the Journalai Foothills. In addition to the ursines previously reported on, further forays into the area have revealed animated onyx gargoyles. Like their granite brethren near Crossing and the Dragon's Spine, these specimens show a particular resilience against our cold and fire attacks, but seem to be considerably stronger, faster and generally more capable in combat.

Being animated stone, we have reached out to the Empaths' Guild specialists with knowledge of such [[Construct|constructs]] to further research, and contain, the specimens. It is our hope that cooperation between our Guilds can lead to safer expeditions further into the area, and perhaps uncover the source responsible for animating the monsters.

Until our investigations have concluded, we urge caution to all in the region. Those closer to the Expert end of Adepts may be able to assist in securing the area beyond the hillside within the Rocky Pass.

Hi folks!

This week, GM Ulerith is revisiting an old, unreleased expansion to the Journalai region of Zoluren. A new variant of gargoyles is included. They're very similar to the granite gargoyles (estimated 21), but these have a base estimated level of 63 and can spawn -2 to +2, so the range covers 61-65. This should help fill a gap on the Empath construct ladder before gam chaga, and we're eyeing more on that front down the line.
