Good evening!

The prior evening brought an eventful gathering of moon mages at the Stardome. After a series of lectures, games, and discussions... part of the group decided to try to fight back against Fate, performing a sort of group prediction. Resultingly, there was an unexpected visitation by Pelag ai Aldam into the thoughts of the present mages before swarms of shadow creatures, including the first Umbral Colossus to have been witnessed and recorded, started to attack all of those present. The colossus broke into tenaebrelings with most every hit, which further spread carnage across the Stardome. Moonblades of Katamba were absorbed by these creatures, while the brighter ones and lunar-light spells seemed to have exaggerated effects. Once the more terrifying creatures were dispatched, shadowlings then invaded the Plane of Abiding, but were promptly collected and dispelled by those remaining.

As the winner of the night's trivia, Drayden received a rectangular ceremonial plate of orichalcum inlaid with multi-colored metal script.

As the winner of the night's interpretation game, Lijarna received an obsidian amulet wrapped in an intricate anlora-avtoma web.

And the winners of the concluding raffle were:

Vaebrek - a sapphire prism within a clockwork cage Renucci - a headless spine inscribed with intricate runes (lunar focus) Zynara - a gloomwood and witchclaw enchanting case with blackened tyrium clasps Miskton - a deep vermilion hex lily bound with a slender cord Mistanna - a ghost-white moonlight gardenia pinned with a gleaming star sapphire

I wanted to thank everyone for coming out and having fun to make this night what it was.

(Just as a quick note, for how many people that were there... there was relatively little actual scroll aside from the invasions! We do have RPers among us that are blind and utilize different front ends, but everyone's consideration really is appreciated for a variety of reasons by a variety of people.)

So as a warning, this record is rather long... and has been heavily trimmed with prejudice for interest and relevance.

Thanks!

(We were not able to get the descriptions, sorry)

recall tenebraeling:

Tenebraelings were one of the first shadow creatures encountered and documented, though there continues to be some debate about their exact classification. On one hand they are clearly constructed of shadows and share much of their physiology with the common shadowling. On the other they seem to be an embodiment of frenzy, albeit a tiny one, which would characterize them as an entirely different species of Probabilistic creature.

Many theories try to reconcile this apparent problem in classification. Some scholars propose they are in fact a fourth branch of denizen, others conjecture that there must be tenebraelings that embody other concepts that haven't been observed. The most droll theory is that there is no contradiction at all -- its proponents offer only one piece of evidence; the house cat.

Due to their shadow-based physiology, creatures such as these are particularly vulnerable to light-based lunar magic. However, they are generally resistant damage and will actually draw strength from shadow-based lunar magic.

They are not known to cast any recognized spells. They are not known to carry loot in locked boxes.

recall colossus:

Creatures from the Plane of Probability are fairly well documented and studied. Generally speaking, they can be broken into three major classifications; concept, light, and shadow. The latter is the most common and well known, at least on the Plane of Abiding, and this seems to be an exceptionally large example of that variety.

You get an odd feeling for a moment. Then another, and another!

Marcul squints.

Galyyn ponders.

Mistanna gazes upwards for a moment with a thoughtful look before her smile spreads brightly in recognition. She excuses herself politely from current company.

Mistanna clasps Vahlissa's hand with a quick grin, and the two start to make their way towards the front of the Stardome.

You sense several moonbeams shift into the area, which end up leaving a trail of moonbeams and shadow-puddles behind Vahlissa and Mistanna as they wander up along the center of the padded benches.

A red moongate spreads open with a wind gust smelling of smoke and grasses.

Stepping through the moongate unceremoniously, Kraggur pauses to study the faces around him, then motions with a magnanimous grunt for his Elven companion to follow.

Casting a wary gaze over the crowd, Sebrahn reluctantly follows the Dwarf as they take their places at the front, and the moongate closes in a plume of light.

Sebrahn stands near Kraggur.

A golden carpet trundles through the door, glides to the center of the room and deposits a rumpled billow of purple robes, then furls into hand.

Damart straightens and rubs his back a moment, then nods to the assembled and sidles over to the others.

Chalinda beams at Kraggur!

Light bursts forth as an infinitesimal crack in reality forms. Four clawed arms reach through the breach, forcing it open further to allow passage for a tiny globe of light.

As the planar rip mends itself the globe of light explodes in a bright flash, leaving behind a white scaled S'kra Mur.

Kraggur says to Sebrahn, "About time ya showed up."

Levinas calmly says, "I havent seen so many moon mages in my time."

Vahlissa pulls down the hood of her cloak.

Tail-tip circling in amusement, Skaen dusts motes of frozen glitter from his robes, smiles and gives a short nod of acknowledgment.

Kraggur waves to Chalinda.

Skaen nods politely, acknowledging those present.

A red moongate opens near you and a flood of gritty black water rushes through from the other side!

Renucci says, "We've been busy."

Renucci grins.

Merritus nods politely to Skaen.

Skaen smiles.

Atazai, in mid backstroke, washes through the moongate and passes the crowd to quickly slam head-first into the far wall of the Stardome with a terrific splash of dark water and sputtered curses.

Atazai says, "Oh."

For a moment, as the moongate closes, Atazai really does look like a fish out of water while she flounders on the wet floor.

Atazai says, "Hi."

Drayden grins at Atazai.

Atazai rises to a kneeling position.

Atazai stands up.

Atazai dusts herself off.

Vahlissa grins at Atazai.

A flash of red-white light appears, quickly expanding into a rippling red moongate.

Xibar slowly rises above the horizon. You sense an overall increase in Lunar mana.

A moment later Miskton strides through the red moongate, scribbling something in a notebook held in one hand.

Miskton looks up, then snaps the book and moongate shut simultaneously before making his way over to the other hosts.

An impossibly tall white line appears, splitting with a flash into a blazing red-white moongate.

Eyuve strides through, accompanied by a swirl of snowflakes and a gust of frigid wind. She pauses a moment, surveying, then moves to take her place, standing behind the other hosts.

She towers over the lot of them, easily gazing over their heads and out at the gathered attendees as the moongate collapses.

A deep red moongate yawns open near the entrance and flickers slightly as Traim and Malzard step through before it snaps closed again. Traim is gesturing emphatically, in the middle of an argument.

Longs waves to Traim.

Drayden waves to Traim.

Malzard pats Traim on the shoulder dismissively and drifts forward to join the assembled crowd.

Malzard smiles slightly.

Traim narrows his eyes on Malzard's back and sticks his hands into the sleeves of his robe, trailing behind.

Traim grumbles.

Traim casually observes the area.

Traim nods politely.

Sebrahn shifts his weight.

You smile broadly, greeting the recently arrived hosts before turning back towards all of those gathered.

You say, "Good evening everyone! Thank you for joining with us today, and welcome to the conclave."

You beam!

You say, "Before we dive in, I would like to mention quickly to please have your jewelry and critters quieted to reduce our distractions. Also, there may be strong opinions, but do try to be mindful of your arguments and tone. Please save your personal quarrels and fights for later."

You say, "After too long, we'll transition into our Trivia and then Vision Interpretation games for a bit of a break before opening the floor back up for a more loosely guided discussion. This would be the best time to save any other questions you might come up with, or discussions such as sorcery or older visions and events."

You say, "Concluding most of the serious conversations, everyone will be free to wander about or join us to serve out the drinks and cake! Our gifts should likely become available by this time, though you will still have to be present for the final raffle in order to participate. It won't be terribly long after though, barring anything unforeseen..."

You ponder.

You say, "In the days before, the land around the Fists in Theren just north of Zoluren was... well, still pretty hot and covered in ash, but it was different than you will find it today. Most notably would be the Guildhall of the Monks of the Crystal Fist, which is now utterly destroyed since the volcanoes erupted."

You say, "Caught in a conflict between Dergati and Peri'el, shaken by visions as darkness and fire rose and surrounded him, Guildleader Tiv sought help from the Astral Plane, where the Arbiter in Darkness answered. Though unwilling to copy Pelag's 'crimes' it did save Tiv from the imminent eruption, and resultingly help to bring light back into the Plane of Abiding."

You say, "If we could allow a reverent moment of silence to consider the loss that this cataclysm has cost us... A shard of Grazhir, volumes of lore and knowledge, precious artifacts, but most of all... the lives of fellow scholars, seers, and friends that were taken from among us."

Atazai nods.

Kraggur gazes off into the distance.

Traim slowly empties his lungs.

You scrunch your eyebrows together and furrow your brow.

Toba bows.

Visicue bows.

Miskton frowns.

Traim gives a slight nod.

Merritus bows.

You ask, "And so... we are left with many questions. Why the Monks of the Crystal Hand, when our visions painted several of the guildhalls in peril? Did Guildleader Tiv's interaction with the Arbiter avoid those fates? Were they falsehoods spun by Pelag ai Aldam to begin with?"

Khalikryst says, "I've told people for the longest time building a guild hall on top of a volcano wasn't the smartest move..."

Khalikryst shrugs.

You ask, "Remember the Doomed Star that has been consumed by the Enigma of Dergati's Eye. These days have been woven in the heavens for us to divine. So, what now that the Wolf burns against an ever encroaching haze?"

You ask, "What is the Akul'tiz prophecy that we have only seen in reference, yet remains elusive with its words of revelation?"

You scrunch your eyebrows together and furrow your brow.

You say, "The Children of Grazhir are not creatures of inaction. We grow, we strive. We have learned that the cards do not lay with our goodwill in mind. But we do not relent to give up. We continue towards our goals, using our will and work to convert that which we have been given into our own resources."

You say, "And so, we gather our resources, here... with you. Even as students, we can combine our efforts and knowledge to strengthen the course of our paths, and better influence their directions."

You flash a quick grin.

You say, "Before breaking for questions just yet, we would ask to retain your attention just awhile longer for a brief summary from each of the sects of our guild."

You say, "We've a representative for each, and we will begin with our sponsor of this conclave, Traim Ruin for the Hand of the Crystal Fist."

You say, "Sequentially we will then hear from Malzard for the Heritage House, Miskton for the Celestial Compact, Damart for the Prophets of G'nar Peth, Kraggur for the Nomads of the Arid Steppe, Atazai for the Progeny of Tezirah, Vahlissa for the Fortune's Path, and finally, Eyuve will speak for those without a chosen alignment before sharing her interpretation of the webs of fate."

You exclaim, "Thank you kindly!"

You flash a wide grin.

You motion to Traim.

Traim bows to you.

Traim says, "I preface this brief summary of my sect, the Crystal Hand, with the admission that I do not believe I am a good representative for my sect. Still, whatever challenges I pose to Master Tiv as a student, I know that his teachings are the foundation for whatever redeemable qualities I possess."

Traim says, "To me, above anything else, the Crystal Hand is an order of thinkers. Not necessarily scholars, not mystics, and not mathematicians. Not even warriors. All those things are encompassed in the Crystal Hand membership because the sect is devoted to enlightenment, and that is not a narrow path."

Traim says, "We are a sect focused on self-realization, and through that journey, we seek a more complete understanding of the world around us. Through mastery of the self, we escape the chains and prejudices of the past. Since the time of the Lunar Accord signing, this sect has offered wisdom to guilded and non-guilded alike."

Traim says, "The Crystal Hand offers humility and fierce self-discipline. An enemy may have destroyed our hall, but the spirit of the Crystal Hand needs no walls, no tower, and no artifice. It lives in the will of its members, and I believe that will, along with the will of our fellow seers, will answer what was been done to us."

Traim says, "Thank you."

Malzard says to Traim, "Thank you, Traim."

Malzard says, "Well said."

Malzard casually observes the area.

Malzard glances at you.

You grin at Malzard.

Malzard says, "While I appreciate the opportunity to speak so soon, I must concede my place to those representing the original signatories of the Lunar Accord. Their honored place will always be to speak before me."

Malzard asks Miskton, "If you would please, continue?"

Miskton nods politely to Malzard.

Atazai praises Malzard.

Miskton says, "Certainly."

Miskton says, "Since the days of the Empire of the Seven-Pointed Star, the Celestial Compact, earlier Phelim's Compact, has been a gathering of scholars dedicated to the formal study of the skies and the practice of foresight."

Miskton says, "Under the leadership of Jares Braun, the Compact was also responsible for the original idea which eventually led to the Lunar Accord, and the founding of the modern Moon Mage Guild. The sect has been highly influential in the running of the guild ever since."

Miskton says, "Between that modern influence, and events during the days of the Empire, the Celestial Compact has gained a reputation for political dealings. But my interest in the sect has always been in our history of formal study and research."

Miskton says, "Since the original days of Phelim's Compact, the sect has been a place for collaborative research and the sharing of knowledge, greatly expanding what we know about the heavens, the nature of the Plane of Probability, and many other subjects. A never-ending task, but one that I'm happy to participate in."

Miskton nods.

Miskton nods politely to Damart.

Damart clears his throat.

Damart asks, "What be G'nar Peth?"

Damart scratches his head.

Damart asks, "A man or god, ancient afore th' signin o' th' Accord?"

A playful breeze catches a fallen feather, wafting it through the air and out the room.

Damart asks, "Be it a faith wi'out tenets?"

Damart slowly runs his finger around the edges of his sandstone seal.

Traim gazes at Damart.

Damart asks, "A paradise wi'out succor?"

Damart asks, "A tradition?"

Damart asks, "Stargazers wi'out eyes, society wi'out community?"

Damart casually observes the area.

You ponder.

Damart gets an enruned sandstone bowl from inside his spell pouch.

Damart asks, "Th' bearers o' parched an silent bowls?"

Damart drops an enruned sandstone bowl.

Damart wryly asks, "A fraud?"

Damart harshly says, "Actors draped i' purple motley..."

Damart adjusts his seer's chasuble.

Damart asks, "Trailin i' th windblown footprints o' them as followed an were lost afore?"

Damart studies the ground for a moment.

Damart nods.

Damart firmly says, "A question. A solitary path. It be th first signpost gesturin across them dusty hills."

Damart gestures.

Damart nods.

Damart kicks Kraggur!

Kraggur grumbles at Damart.

Kraggur says to Damart, "I said POKE. Nae kick."

Damart coughs.

Damart bows.

Damart pats Kraggur on the back.

Kraggur says to Sebrahn, "Tha stuff them Pethians do."

Kraggur squints at Vansiil.

Sebrahn nods in agreement.

Vansiil bites Kraggur!

You motion to Atazai.

Kraggur says, "Unlike tha other so called sects, the Nomads are not a body o magicians, but an entire nation o individuals. To call tha Nomads Moon Mages makes as much sense as calling tha inhabitants o Riverhaven er Shard, Moon Mages. The difference be that many o the leaders, oracles, n soothsayers are able ta seek the future through their various methods."

Kraggur says, "You seek to know more o' our ways and how we came to be aligned with the Guild? Well, tha seers of the Tribes are drawn in three distinct ways."

Kraggur says, "The first is toward our individual tribe. These range from the Bensu to tha Windwalkers, and fer more information I will refer ya to tha Trabe Plateau. Even though centuries have passed since tha unification o' tha Tribes, these identities hae not died."

Kraggur says, "The second is as tha Nomads o' the Arid Steppe. Within this are our roles as advisors 'n leaders ta tha Nomads - as we wander tha high plains and mountains west o' Hibarnhvidar. This separates us fra tha other sects. It is this role, 'n our distance from Throne City and the usual machinations o' tha "civilized" lands which gives Nomads pause in our allegiance to the guild."

Kraggur says, "Third are the bonds that tie us ta the Moon Mage Guild. It be undeniable that Kir's actions greatly benefited tha Nomads. These bonds be loose, fer tha Nomads defy single leadership. However, we are not bound ta tha Plateau - sect members wander Kermoria, and other places, yet as a whole entity, we comprise a sizeable enough contingent o' tha Guild that we cannot be overly coerced."

(Kraggur steps back to stand near the other Nomads.)

Atazai says, "Hi, hello. I'm Zai and I'm representing the Progeny of Tezirah. There are some good books about the Progeny in various libraries around the Provinces, so let's skip wading through the static waters of history lessons and dive into the desires, yearnings, and passions. It seems there are a couple of general reasons people have for joining the Progeny and they often go hand-in-hand."

Atazai says, "Power. Power is a biggie. I mean, if you're already thinking about magic then you're already thinking about Power. Magical Power. Yet, even from the beginning, Tezirites have understood that magical power is only part of true Power."

Atazai smiles.

Atazai asks, "We all like power right?"

Atazai squints.

Atazai says, "Social Power is another of our desires, usually coming in the form of politics. The power to control magic and to control people. A lot of Tezirites dig it, but it is not entirely for me. What is for me are."

Atazai folds her arms across her chest.

Atazai exclaims, "Secrets. Mysteries. Those things that lie hidden beyond the reach of normal mortals. The truths hidden in Shadows where lesser beings fear to go. Many of you are already familiar with shadowlings and shadow servants, secrets wrestled from the Shadow long ago. The other sects are wary of our research but they leave it to us, so don't be scared!"

Atazai closes her eyes and makes a sound of contentment that resembles purring in the back of her throat.

Atazai says, "I'm a beach bunny and a sea queen. Water isn't usually associated with Lunar Magicians, yet it's a perfect fit for the Progeny. That's what's neat about this sect."

Atazai says, "Freedom. We don't bind you to a limited mode of thinking, about Magic or Fate. It's also what is dangerous. Too much Freedom and abuse of Freedom have historically proved catastrophic in our hands. We walk fine lines and some of us will pay a high price for it."

Atazai shakes her head.

Atazai says, "Our method, Evolution."

Atazai says, "Yeah, a little heavy at the end huh? I'll wrap it up with my reasons for joining this Sect. I have found Power in the shadows of the seas deep where light does not reach, and I search for secrets between the stars in the blackness of Creation."

Atazai frowns.

Atazai nods.

Vahlissa smiles at Atazai.

Atazai says, "And to finish."

Atazai says, "You don't have to buy what the Guild sells."

Atazai casually observes the area.

Atazai says, "I prefer not to."

Atazai says, "Thanks you."

Vahlissa applauds.

Atazai nods.

Toba ponders buying a crash landing through a window.

Aaoskar mutters something into the air about but it sure does help when you go ask kssarh for a promotion.

Atazai curtsies.

Nurah applauds.

Three deep ebony slivers drift away from Whirlingblade and disappear into the air.

Aaoskar applauds.

Atazai says, "Oh my, I curtsied."

Atazai frowns at herself.

Sebrahn says, "And you didn't fall."

Kraggur laughs at Atazai.

Sebrahn pats Atazai on the back.

Atazai grumbles.

Khalikryst says, "And here I am expecting someone to drop shadow webs... Maybe i'm getting old."

Vahlissa says, "The Fortune's Path. We have been described as Fortune Tellers, Gypsies, Travelers, and even Thieves. They have gone so far as to say we prey upon the unsuspecting and gain wealth by their loss. To me, this is a pretty shallow description. It's laughable because while it may fit the description of some, it by no means scratches the surface of what drives us to fortune."

Traim smiles at Vahlissa.

Vahlissa asks, "We are seeking the path to fortune which can change from one person to the next. In fact, it can change from one moment to the next. Wealth? Power? Happiness? What is your meaning for fortune?"

Vahlissa says, "Recently, I've given a lot of thought to what the Fortune's Path has offered me personally. A path can sometimes narrow and lead to what appears to be a single destination. However often times there can be another that might not have been previously seen. One that has new fortunes to seek, new journeys to be had, and lasting friendships to embrace."

Vahlissa says, "Through our journeys we collect memories and, hopefully, learn from experiences. That journey, that path, is never ending. Our fortune continues to evolve and expand with each obstacle and decision we make while our path unfolds before us. Wealth, power, and happiness are often described as fortune but the Fortune's Path is all about the journey and the people we meet along the way."

Vahlissa bows.

Vahlissa says, "Thank you."

Malzard nods graciously at Vahlissa, giving her a polite smile.

Malzard says, "Now then, this seems the proper time."

Malzard says, "The Heritage House has a long history as an entity within the Guild serving as a base for scholars, researchers, and archivists."

Traim gazes at Malzard.

Malzard says, "Although not an original signatory of the Lunar Accord, the Heritage House elevated to a more prominent role during the destabilizing times of the Mirror Wraith Prophecy."

Malzard says, "While others turned away from unity, finding comfort in their ancestral sects, the Heritage House offered a way forward in solidarity for all Moon Mages."

Malzard matter-of-factly says, "That tradition continues to this day, as ours is a home for those who accept that none of us would be capable of all we have achieved without the others."

Malzard wryly says, "Because really, you've already bought what the Guild is selling."

Malzard winks.

Malzard nods graciously at Eyuve, giving her a polite smile.

Eyuve gives a slight nod.

Eyuve says, "I am Eyuve. I am without sect."

Eyuve says, "I am on the plains, where the winds blow in every direction, and the grasses bend in ripples to the horizon. I choose my path, and tramp down the grass behind me."

Vivikka says, "The best of us are."

Eyuve says, "I have no aid. I walk on my own strength. I listen to the winds but am not pushed by them. I am free."

Eyuve says, "The six towers crumble and are rebuilt in the distance. Perhaps one day, one will glitter in the sun, and catch me."

Eyuve shrugs.

Eyuve glances at you.

You smile at Eyuve.

Eyuve asks, "Now, we speak of Fate, yes?"

You nod in agreement.

Eyuve says, "The silver one has asked me to speak to you about the Ocean. I am told that I see things... differently from many. More and less. She wishes me to tell you what I see, so I will."

You flash a quick grin at Eyuve.

Eyuve says, "Perhaps, if I point, you will see it too."

Eyuve says, "We float in a great, black ocean, crossed with many currents. We are each caught in our own Current, which pulls us sometimes strongly, sometimes weakly. Many times our currents cross with others, and many are the paths they lay before us."

Eyuve says, "Some lie back and float, and let the currents take them wherever they will. This is weakness. For even lost in the ocean, you have arms and legs and your own strength. You can swim."

Eyuve folds her arms across her chest.

Eyuve says, "You can pull yourself to one side of your current or another. You can turn yourself down the paths, when the ways are many. Sometimes, you can even break free of the gripping flow, wrench out and into the wide and placid openness, where you can swim in any direction you wish."

Eyuve says, "But even with all your strength, the ocean is bigger than you are. Sometimes you will be pulled. Sometimes the current is too strong, and you are swept along."

Eyuve says, "And sometimes, there are great and powerful whirlpools, that draw all the currents together into them. You may escape one to another, but they will all go swirling down together."

Eyuve says, "The silver one tells me that this is what we see, when we close our eyes to light and open them to time. The most powerful currents, the whipping of whirlpools."

Elabela scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

A passing breeze catches up some fallen rose petals, wafting them playfully through the air before gently dropping them to the ground.

You gaze up at the sky.

Visicue glances up at the sky. After a few moments he lowers his gaze.

Eyuve says, "I say, remember their strength. But remember also your own. Fight, and find the right path."

Drayden scans the sky from horizon to horizon.

Eyuve gives a slight nod.

Traim says, "Well said, Eyuve."

Vahlissa says, "Very nice."

Malzard says to Eyuve, "Always a thought provoking perspective."

Traim says, "I think that's the end for our speeches. Trivia time."

Traim asks you, "Is that right?"

You ask, "Hmm, maybe first, if we had any questions so far?"

Atazai asks, "No questions then?"

You nod to Traim.

Traim says, "Plenty of time for more discussion and whatnot later as well."

Sebrahn says, "At this time, we'd like to transition to the core purpose of this conclave by opening the floor to you, our assembled peers, for discussion and debate. We're interested in hearing your alternative interpretations of fate and the recent portents, as well as any other any other topics you may find relavent to our present situation within the guild."

Sebrahn casually observes the area.

You flash a wide grin at Sebrahn.

Traim adds to Sebrahn's praises.

Sebrahn says, "For anyone interested in sharing their thoughts, please raise your hand. In attempts to keep this orderly, if not civil, each person will be elected to speak in order, allowing their topic to run its course before moving on to the next."

Sebrahn asks, "Sounds simple enough, yes?"

Elabela darkly says, "That steak is bad."

Traim raises his hand.

Drayden raises his hand.

Sebrahn says, "If you're like myself and tend to grow weary of those who insist on overcomplicating things..."

Sebrahn frowns slightly.

Sebrahn says, "Keep in mind that the raffle will take place at the end of conclave, so I encourage everyone to stick around until that time. Also, feel free to roam around and enjoy the food and drink, and don't forget to grab a gift. The day has only just begun."

Sebrahn asks, "Now, hands?"

Yoduh asks, "Whats the raffle for?"

Traim says, "Yes, you must be present at the raffle for the prizes. Three very nice things. Clockwork prism, of the 5000 plat dokora type, unique focus, and unique enchanting case."

Traim says, "Oh Drayden first."

Traim nods.

Sebrahn nods.

Drayden says, "Okay, so Tiv has returned."

Drayden asks, "I wasn't present when he did return, though I know some of you were and brought him to Riverhaven. Have we figured out what happened while he was...whereever he was, and did he manage to save the shard that was in the volcano?"

Drayden says, "And has he spoken to anyone, given his account of what occurred on that fateful day? has anyone studied him, and seen if he has..."

Drayden says, "Hrm, what's the word.."

Atazai asks, "I think Traim should address this?"

Traim says, "For my part, and the others that were there when he returned might have a different take, I think the Arbiter took him up on an offer he made."

Sebrahn says to Traim, "I believe you may be... yes. The most up to date on this matter."

Drayden says, "Become imbued with the power of the shard, so to speak, because I just don't know how to phrase it."

Traim says, "I think Tiv sought help, the Arbiter provided it, at a vicious price. What was won...is up for debate."

Drayden asks, "Do we know what was offered and what was paid?"

Traim asks, "We lost a guildhall. What would we have lost otherwise? Or is the fight still coming?"

Traim says, "What was paid...well, Tiv, it appears, was gifted with a sight of all Fate. Of all time."

Traim says, "Future, past, all paths, the full Web."

Traim says, "The price is that he appears to be barely hanging onto his sanity."

Drayden says, "That's...scary..."

Traim says, "That he is at all is...incredible."

Elabela darkly asks, "Name one moon mage that is sane?"

Vahlissa says, "Sounds confusing.."

Traim says to Elabela, "True."

Drayden says, "Not me."

Traim grins wryly.

Renucci says, "Not me."

Yoduh says, "I am pretty sane."

Sebrahn says, "Speak for yourselves."

Elabela darkly says, "I need more booze."

Renucci says, "Yoru oud."

Traim says, "As far as I know, no student has seen him since he retired with Gywyn to rest."

Drayden says, "Perhaps we should go see Gwyn."

Traim says, "But Tozu told us he is stabilized..ish."

Malzard asks Traim, "How....comforting?"

Lyzalian says, "Sanity is quite relative."

Drayden asks, "How stabilized is stabilized, were the empath's in Haven consulted?"

Drayden says, "Sorry, I'm gonna shut up and let other people ask questions."

Atazai says, "It's not something they can help with."

Elabela darkly says, "I say we gathering up and just take over Elanthia."

Renucci says, "Can't heal the brain."

Renucci says, "Wouldn't want to try."

Skaen says to Drayden, "Much improved compared to when he first returned but still dreadfully injured."

Traim says, "I don't know whether the empaths are involved or not. My concern, and I don't think I was alone, was that someone would try and use Tiv for what he now knows. While he is weakened."

Drayden says to Skaen, "I haven't seen him at all since his return...not sure where he's...at."

Traim says, "But Tiv is the best of us, if he can tolerate what he's been through, I can't imagine mortal scheming is going to fool him much."

Renucci says, "We took him to Haven."

Drayden says to Traim, "That's a good concern, perhaps we should get with the ODS and others of the Guard and arrange a patrol of the Moon Mage guild in Haven while making the rounds."

Traim says to Kraggur, "My tribesman friend, good hunting, if I don't see you soon."

Skaen says, "He still rests under Gylwyn's care, though I suspect he'll be moved to Throne city when the time comes."

Yoduh says to Drayden, "Thats a very political thing to do.."

Whirlingblade nods.

Drayden says to Yoduh, "That is true, I'd rather keep politics out of it, but I can't imagine putting moon mages on guard when the most powerful of us are already there."

Drayden says, "And Tiv is powerful."

Drayden says, "And it doesn't have to just be the ODS. Perhaps the order of the rose and others can help as well."

Yoduh asks, "Shouldn't discretion be used ere instead of bringing attention to the fact that a guild leader is now granted complete fate?"

Sebrahn asks, "Anyone else with a question or observation they'd like to share?"

Drayden says, "Keep politics out of it and keep it within the guild."

Drayden says, "Sorry, I did say I was going to shut up."

Atazai says, "If he is guarded or to be guarded, I would think Y'shai would be doing that job."

A beam of light filters through a cloud, a bright omen for a joyous occasion.

Traim says, "It's a Conclave, the last thing we want is folks shutting up."

Drayden asks Atazai, "Has anyone seen the head of our order?"

Yoduh asks, "Do we want the gold caps involved?"

Yoduh says, "Never did trust them."

Traim says, "We locked the doors precisely so we could discuss things amongst ourselves."

Drayden says, "Or spoken to him regarding Tiv. I've seen no Guild guards in Haven when last I was there."

Traim says, "On that note, I will put my hand up."

Traim raises his hand.

Sebrahn asks Traim, "You have a question?"

Skaen says to Drayden, "Gylwyn let you into her private chambers?."

Skaen grins.

Traim says, "I do. But it comes in three parts."

Vaebrek says to Drayden, "Talking about politics, I would think outside sources would be better off to be his guardians given the divisions that can exist. But what do I know."

Vahlissa says to Sebrahn, "So much for keeping it simple."

Vahlissa grins at Sebrahn.

Traim grins.

Sebrahn grins at Vahlissa.

Sebrahn shrugs.

Drayden says to Vaebrek, "That's what I was saying in the end."

Traim says, "The entire question series deals with teleologic sorcery."

Skaen casually observes the area.

Traim says, "And where we find ourselves now."

Malzard says, "Indeed."

Vahlissa grins at Malzard.

Vahlissa casually observes the area.

Stargazer Vicktoreon glides down.

Atazai rubs her hands together.

Malzard says, "Let's get to the -why- of this particular battle."

Traim asks, "The first part is, is it okay to be a philosopher and researcher, if you don't practice? And the second part is, is the practice of the Art worth the risk when the guild is at stake?"

Traim gazes at Malzard.

Traim says, "The first part, you may notice, certainly parallels the break between the Children of Kalestraum and the Progeny. Supposedly."

Atazai nods in agreement.

Marcul coughs.

Traim asks, "Is studying a weapon the same as using it? And are all weapons on the table when the guild faces death?"

Traim casually observes the area.

Drayden nods to Traim.

Atazai says, "I believe the study is separate from the use."

Vahlissa says, "I think it is important to study all things."

Drayden says, "You can't combat something if you don't know it's uses."

You nibble your lip thoughtfully.

Malzard rubs his head.

Vicktoreon asks, "Wouldn't using it be studying it as well?"

Drayden says, "Does that mean you use it yourself? That depends."

Skaen says, "If the study didn't involve use you might be right."

Vahlissa says, "Intent becomes a big part in studying."

Sebrahn asks, "I like to think that the answer to this lies within the individual. Do you have the will to simply study without being lured by the potential power?"

Jaesyn says, "To properly and fully study a weapon it must a some point be used."

You nod in agreement.

Traim ponders.

Miskton strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Drayden says, "Some may be willing to take the risk to destroy themselves by using it themselves. Others may figure out a way to combat a weapons use by studying it and counteracting it."

Malzard says to Traim, "You and your can of worms."

Malzard chuckles to himself.

Traim says, "A fair point, Sebrahn. Study may not, in the end, be completely separated from practice."

Drayden says, "I am one of what I just first said. I'll take the risk in order to learn a weapons use."

Drayden says, "By actually using it myself."

Malzard says to Drayden, "I would beg you to reconsider your stance."

Malzard says, "Let us even set aside a few things..."

Drayden says to Malzard, "I can't. I've not yet learned how to counteract it, for lack of finding others whom are willing to use it themselves."

Vahlissa says, "Give enough power to someone and there will be those that have no self discipline. It is a slippery slope indeed. In order to study it then you would have to be willing to accept the possibility of being prosecuted for it."

Malzard says, "...let us set aside the implications of the practice on our official Guild sanctioning...."

Atazai nods to Malzard.

Malzard says, "Let us even set aside the context of the events that led to the rediscovery and rampant assault of teleologic sorcery upon our Students."

Longs raises her hand.

Malzard says, "Those things aside..."

Malzard matter-of-factly says to Drayden, "It seems to me an untenable position that we should deploy one of the most unstable and destructive forms of magic known to exist through the sacred avenue of our most defining and useful talent - a connection to the Plane of Probability."

Atazai nods.

Traim says, "That presumes two things."

Drayden asks Malzard, "If we're setting those aside, than can we keep this in mind, what if the knowledge and use of these things is the only thing that may one day end up saving us?"

Traim says, "And they are, importantly, presumptions."

Drayden asks Malzard, "Would it be worth setting aside, if that may one day be the case, despite the stance of our guildleaders regarding such knowledge?"

Atazai says to Drayden, "I would liken that to Asrea linking with Lyras, but also the price she paid delving into that."

Traim says, "First, Malzard, it presumes that it is indeed that unstable. Destructive, I grant you, generally. Second, it presumes that even stabilized, it threatens the connection to the web."

Traim asks Malzard, "Is it that impossible to imagine a use, refined, like shear was?"

Atazai says, "That is interesting."

Traim asks, "A use that is not the threat you all claim now?"

Drayden says to Atazai, "She is...paying the price for her actions that day. A grave price indeed."

Malzard says to Traim, "Shear was explicitly made non-sorcerous. And the corruption to the Teleologic Sorcerer's connection to the Plane is self evident. Ealuik himself never denied it."

Vahlissa asks, "Do you really want to hear all our opinions or are you more interested in having a debate with Malzard?"

Drayden says, "And knowing that, would I be willing to pay such a price if I had too. I say yes, if I had too, not because I had too, but to keep our sects, our students, and our guild safe."

Vahlissa looks thoughtfully at Traim.

Traim says, "And I deny that Ealiuk, or the Children even, are the epoch of what we can accomplish."

Traim says to Vahlissa, "All yours. I know his."

Vahlissa grins.

Malzard says to Traim, "Would that your research can end in a non-sorcerous pattern free of corruption, by all means, persue it."

Traim says, "It is a conclave."

Traim says, "All of us."

Malzard says, "Though the research is a dangerous path itself."

Malzard says, "It is the practice that is at real issue."

Atazai says to Vahlissa, "My dispute come in, who or what defines 'unstable' and 'destructive'."

Traim says, "On that, I agree."

Sebrahn says, "Temptation."

Traim says, "On the practice, I tell you all this, I believe it is warranted here and now. For the threat that faces our guild."

Vahlissa says, "It has to be a controlled environment. We all can't go out there and start experimenting. That would be foolish."

Sebrahn says, "Temptation is nothing more than the dark mirror of the soul."

A subdued cough brings a blush to the face of one guest, and she pops a peppermint drop into her mouth with an embarassed look at having disturbed the reverent hush of the room.

Lijarna says, "And given our own visions of a smoldering web... it is entirely possible that sorcerous meddling with fate weakens the strands of fate and may be part of the cause."

Drayden says, "I must say that as a member of the Theren Guard I don't actually practice such things. But I am open to the idea of it."

Traim says to Vahlissa, "I agree with that as well."

Malzard asks Traim, "Have you stopped to consider why the threat exists to begin with?"

Atazai says to Malzard, "As a balance."

A few fluffy white clouds drift into the sky above.

Traim says to Malzard, "Not because of the sorcery. It exists because Nera named a servant, Servant. And every time we glimpse the future..."

Traim says, "We stab him with a needle."

Toba shrieks!

Toba edges away from Traim.

Malzard says to Traim, "Yes, merely glimpsing it stabs him with a needle."

Traim says, "I believe that."

Malzard says, "Now imagine you wrest control of it and demand it go in your preferred direction."

Atazai asks, "Is HE a be all end all?"

Malzard asks, "Might that be a sword through the heart?"

Malzard asks, "Might that provoke just a bit more ire?"

Traim says, "Perhaps. But he started it."

Traim bares his teeth.

Malzard rolls his eyes.

Vahlissa chuckles.

Traim says, "Let's try it this way."

Vahlissa asks, "Was that all three parts?"

Traim casually observes the area.

Traim says, "All of you, any of you."

Atazai says, "Me."

Traim says, "I believe we can do a group prediction."

Malzard glances at Traim and blinks several times.

Elabela darkly asks, "With the changes?"

Traim says, "We can gaze into the web together, with a touch of...mixed mana patterns."

Malzard frowns at Traim.

Atazai rubs her hands together.

Miskton strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Malzard says to Traim, "You can't possibly be serious."

Vansiil raises an eyebrow.

Atazai says, "Now that's getting steamy."

Traim says, "And I believe with that addition, we may be able to get a glimpse that can help this guild. Help us see. As Tiv sees."

Traim gazes at Malzard.

Elabela darkly says, "If you succeed it will open way to Terizah."

Traim says, "I am."

Elabela observes Traim with fascination.

Elabela darkly says, "Is how we did long time ago when she took Pathian up brought forth a child."

Malzard frowns at Traim.

Malzard matter-of-factly says to Traim, "I'll have no part in this."

Atazai says to Elabela, "Unless Tezirah made it to where the Dragon came from."

Traim says to Malzard, "The threat is worth the risk."

You scrunch your eyebrows together and furrow your brow.

Malzard says, "None of you should."

Malzard casually observes the area.

Elabela darkly says, "World dragon is in aesry in ice."

Elabela nods to Atazai.

Atazai says, "Came from."

Sebrahn asks, "Okay, but we don't have to hold hands... right?"

Traim says, "Karosti said we lacked the resolve, Malzard."

Sebrahn glances at Traim.

Traim asks, "Do we?"

Atazai says, "The other side of the Grazhir hallway."

Elabela darkly says, "Is another way but i will not share that info with this guild."

Elabela darkly says, "Im going home."

Elabela casually observes the area.

Dark Illusionist Elabela strolls down.

Traim loudly says, "Join me if you will help with this group prediction."

Malzard says to Traim, "Karosti manipulates you, Traim."

Atazai joins Traim's group.

Malzard scowls.

Vaebrek shakes his head.

Vansiil joins Traim's group.

Eyuve joins Traim's group.

Traim clears his throat.

Sebrahn joins Traim's group.

Vaebrek folds his arms across his chest.

Atazai frowns at Malzard.

Traim says, "He does not. He will not."

Rysmus joins Traim's group.

Skaen joins Malzard's group.

Vansiil joins Traim's group.

Vaebrek stands near Malzard.

Miskton strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Lemoki joins Traim's group.

Drayden joins Traim's group.

Traim says, "We are answering the attack, Malzard. We must."

Miskton glances at Malzard.

Traim puts his tea in his bright golden pouch.

You shift your weight.

Malzard shakes his head.

Thin streamers of cloud float in a mostly clear sky as the sun rises high above them.

You mutter something into the air about bad ideas.

Hobris joins Traim's group.

Miskton joins Traim's group.

Longs joins Traim's group.

Lemoki says, "My vision is usually cloudy, hope I don't blur the vision."

Malzard says, "Madness..."

Traim says, "We have to be willing to risk it all. Otherwise we're too predictable."

Marcul joins Malzard's group.

Atazai nods.

Malzard nods to Marcul.

Traim says, "It's the only way to break his chains."

Atazai says, "I'm down. I already know everything I need to know about Fate."

Traim says, "I will start the circle with a prediction into events of the future. Please follow me with predictions yourselves."

Vaebrek says to Traim, "That or perhaps this will ensnare you in his chains."

Skaen shakes his head.

Traim says, "The pattern I will cast will gather the views into one tunnel."

Traim says to Vaebrek, "Perhaps."

Skaen says, "This will not end well."

Traim glances at Skaen.

Malzard asks Traim, "When did you...?"

Malzard fixes Traim with a calm, clear stare.

Traim says to Malzard, "Research, friend. This can work."

Lemoki's ears droop for a moment.

Traim says, "It can. It must."

Sebrahn closes his eyes briefly before snapping them open again revealing scleras awash with shadows that creep into the irises. Threads of silver flicker across the pupils as his eyes drift about serenely. Sebrahn blinks once, returning his eyes to normal.

Vahlissa says, "Hmm.. what happened to a controlled environment? This seems impulsive."

Atazai laughs!

Lemoki asks, "I know nothing of future events, is that type of prediction required to participate?"

Traim says, "I am starting the circle. Last call. Anyone that does not want to help, please step outside the circle."

Atazai joins Traim's group.

Rysmus scans the sky from horizon to horizon.

Traim says, "Otherwise, join me now."

Vansiil scans the sky from horizon to horizon.

Traim closes his eyes briefly before snapping them open again revealing scleras awash with shadows that creep into the irises. Threads of silver flicker across the pupils as his eyes drift about serenely. Traim blinks once, returning his eyes to normal.

Lyzalian joins Traim's group.

Vahlissa says, "A bit too impulsive for me. Sorry Traim."

Chalinda joins Traim's group.

Malzard holds hands with Vahlissa.

Vaebrek nods at Vahlissa, obviously agreeing with her views.

Malzard nods to Vahlissa.

Gazing intently at those gathered with him, Traim inhales deeply and exacts a few subtle gestures.

Vaebrek joins Malzard's group.

Renucci joins Traim's group.

Lijarna joins Malzard's group.

Skaen joins Malzard's group.

Chalinda gazes solemnly at the sky.

A writhing, purplish energy crawls down Traim's right arm and leaps into the silvery-white web, moving with singular purpose on a determined course between the seers.

Chalinda scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

Lyzalian says, "Well, I'm not really ready for an event prediction."

Traim quietly says, "More. Gaze. All in the circle."

Fragments of prophecy slide into your mind unbidden; A grey haired man stands on the field of battle. Bodies surrounding him and his crimson robes hide much of the blood and viscera shed this day. A handful of mages rally behind him, none entirely hale, but the shadows are approaching for another assault.

Jaesyn joins Malzard's group.

An obelisk stands before you, crafted of some translucent material and shimmer slightly with an internal light. Square at the base, it tapers as it rises to height of nearly fifteen feet. Shadows swirl within the monument, slowly drowning out the light. As the final glimmer is extinguished the obelisk explodes into a hail of molten shrapnel.

Winding like a serpent, the purplish energy completes its circular journey and as it reaches Traim's position, crawls back up his left arm.

Lemoki joins Traim's group.

Kassin joins Traim's group.

You scrunch your eyebrows together and furrow your brow.

Yoduh joins Traim's group.

Halls of marble surround you and shattered crystal panes fill the sky above. An eerie silence hangs over the halls, broken only by the soft flutter and twitter of tropical birds. Indistinct mutterings you're your attention and you turn to find an emaciated gnome wandering the halls. His grey eyes are continually downcast dull, and scant wisps of black hair remain to him.

Drayden's shadow seems unusually animate... for a shadow.

Vahlissa sighs.

Miskton scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

Vansiil shudders.

The pattern of energy running through the silvery-white web flashes multiple times in rapid succession, surging with increasing intensity.

You gaze off into the distance blankly.

Longs gazes off into the distance.

Miskton frowns.

Lemoki scans the sky from horizon to horizon.

Sebrahn frowns.

Taleicia joins Traim's group.

You fidget nervously.

An elderly S'Kra Mur gazes towards you, his empty eye sockets burning with arcane power. Your unconscious mind screams out a warning, pulling you away from these threads of fate before you can examine them further.

Atazai ponders.

Traim groans.

Beads of sweat roll down Traim's forehead as he works desperately to maintain control of his spell pattern.

Atazai winces.

Vansiil giggles.

Drayden makes a grunting noise.

You sense an overall decrease in Lunar mana.

Blademaster Kaijana goes down.

Venarstrualis ponders.

The world fades and becomes a land of shadow and harsh, chill light. Incomprehensible creatures roam the bizarre landscape and one in particular soars about bat-wings driving the lesser creatures before it. The land darkens with her passage and ever stranger monstrosities rise and take shape in her wake.

Jaesyn frowns.

Traim's face betrays a look of shock and genuine surprise as the overwhelming energy collapses back into his body and an eerie stillness settles over the area.

Atazai begins to weep softly.

Lijarna takes off a delicate sandstone seal embossed with a closed golden eye.

Malzard casually observes the area.

Yoduh says, "Thats disturbing."

Lijarna traces an outline around her sandstone seal.

Drayden stares blankly into the distance.

Malzard asks Traim, "What have you done?"

Malzard frowns at Traim.

A pained expression crosses Traim's face.

A inhuman voice fills the air, its words distorted with rage. "Meddlers. Fools. Defilers. You are bugs. Your flailing sends ripples through the web and you are oblivious to what they bring. I was named Pelag ai Aldam. The Defilers of Fate are mine to claim and I demand sacrifice."

Traim kneels down.

The entire world darkens slightly as shadows thicken and coalesce into a gargantuan humanoid creature.

The umbral colossus begins to advance on Lyzalian.

Atazai gulps.

Nurah screams!

Traim screams!

Traim stands up.

Chalinda gestures at a frenzied tenebraeling. A crackling stream of energy flies at a frenzied tenebraeling! Bubbles erupt in quick ripples across its head just before it implodes in a messy collapsing of greasy liquid, ebony bone fragments and unidentifiable grey globs. Traim says, "Getting there, turning it..."

Skaen asks, "Has the colossus been brought down?"

Skaen leaves a shining arc in its path and lands a light hit that just barely penetrates the skin to nick the stomach ('Tis but a scratch!). Skaen's blue-white moonblade flares brilliantly as it disperses part of the frenzied tenebraeling's abdomen.

Miskton leaves a shining arc in its path and lands a light hit that barely pierces the skin to nick the chest. The frenzied tenebraeling flinches away from the blue-white moonblade.

Traim says, "Closing them down...getting closer..."

Malzard says to Traim, "You're definitely getting closer, Traim. You have that right."

Malzard frowns.

Traim scowls.

Eyuve gestures at a frenzied tenebraeling. A brilliant beam descends from the sky and shrinks into a tiny point centered on a frenzied tenebraeling. The beam completely incinerates the head! The frenzied tenebraeling falls to the ground and lies still.

You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.

Traim asks, "Did you see though? Did you see?"

Traim snarls.

A frenzied tenebraeling splinters into thousands of tiny black glass-like slivers.

Traim pants.

Renucci slowly empties his lungs.

Longs pants.

Vaebrek frowns.

.Venarstrualis wipes his forehead. A pyroclastic ash cloud thins out and dissipates completely.

You ask, "What could go wrong?"

Venarstrualis says, "Geez."

Traim leans against a cloth-covered silverwillow crate.

Traim slowly empties his lungs.

Venarstrualis says, "That was something."

Skaen says, "What I saw was what lies at the end of the path of teleologic sorcery."

Vaebrek shakes his head.

Malzard exclaims to Traim, "You have no right to spread the corruption so broadly...arrogantly! Who even knows what these visions are worth?!"

Vansiil exclaims, "That was invigorating!"

Eyuve makes a grunting noise.

Venarstrualis asks, "What just happened?"

Chalinda says, "I appear to have mostly lost a hand.."

Whirlingblade's shadow paces about a bit, acting independently of its source.

Whirlingblade blinks.

Traim asks Malzard, "We'll see. When we have time to reflect on them. For now, let's make sure everyone is alright?"

You hear the ghostly voice of Fenaro ask, "Just a hand?"

Vansiil pokes Fenaro to see if he will move.

Sebrahn says, "So many people ran."

A dark shockwave shudders through the area as the last creature falls. You are left with a sense of unease. A worrisome premonition that this isn't over yet.

Miskton frowns.

You say, "Oh."

Vansiil asks, "Can we do it again?"

Sebrahn says, "I believe we lost half our crowd from fear."

Vaebrek says to Traim, "That was crazy, and not the good kind of crazy like jumping off a waterfall."

You fret.

Vaebrek frowns at Traim.

Vansiil giggles.

Skaen's shadow paces about a bit, acting independently of its source.

You look around, trying to appear nonchalant.

Fenaro says, "Apparently i didnt get the memo to get my armor and weapons from the repair for this party..."

Traim says, "If the fight was easy, we would have already won it."

Traim scowls.

Renucci grins at Fenaro.

Longs says, "Dont leave home without them."

Traim says, "We survived. We are smarter than we were when we started. A success I'd say."

Longs grins.

Traim scowls at Malzard.

Hobris pants.

Vansiil pats Traim on the back.

Baleful yellow eyes slowly blink open from the deepest of shadows nearest Traim. One after another, spreading across every dark crevice of the area until countless cat-slitted obs glare upon you judgmentally.

Malzard frowns at Traim.

A soft voice from somewhere near Skaen babbles, "Ho bama!"

Fenaro says, "Usually i dont... but said 'whats the worst that can happen?'."

Renucci pats Hobris on the back.

Traim says, "Uh oh."

Traim casually observes the area.

A pair of bright eyes blinks within Skaen's shadow.

You hear a low, faint growl come from nowhere, yet everywhere around you. Looking around, it is obvious from others' expressions that the sensations were shared.

Atazai says, "Well."

Skaen says, "What I saw willfull violence levied against the plane of probability, and there will be an accounting."

Atazai leans on Traim.

Malzard says to Traim, "Well, there they have it then, the Teleologic definition of success."

You scrunch your eyebrows together and furrow your brow.

Malzard shrugs.

The growl crescendos, accompanied by a threatening hiss before an unfamiliar language babbles eerily from the shadows closest to you.

Lijarna slowly empties her lungs.

Traim exclaims to Skaen, "The accounting was already underway! It was winning!"

Whirlingblade says, "Much better than sitting in adult armadillo's in M'riss all day."

A feral scream punctuates the muttering, which builds rapidly into a deafening cacophony of yowls and jibbering!

Traim says, "We have to punch back."

Whirlingblade mumbles something under his breath.

Traim frowns.

A yawning pool of shadow suddenly appears over your head as a pudgy mischievous shadowling tumbles through to land easily on the ground.

Vaebrek asks, "I guess the debate now is did we fuel whatever evil that was or did we hurt it?"

A fuzzy mischievous shadowling pops its head up curiously before leaping through a flickering shadowy tear to land nearby.

Vaebrek folds his arms across his chest.

A pair of glowing eyes blink open from the depths of the shadows in front of you before a fuzzy vicious shadowling walks past, purposefully ignoring you.
