SOP does bonus evasion ranks. It just does it via an indirect method (ie in combat mechanics rather than by adding/subtracting from the skill). The only real difference between a spell like SOP and one that bonuses Evasion directly is that SOP would not have any impact if for some reason we tried to do an evasion check outside combat. - GM Dartenian
