Hey guys. Not to stifle a good conversation, but this thread is a little all over the place. There are no plans to introduce a generalized anti-enchanted item system. Enchanting provides a creation system designed to access magically enchanted goods. Whether any specific goods can be disrupted by abilities, magical or not, lies solely up to the creator of those items. Furthermore, I can conceive of few scenarios in which creating a system to disrupt enchanted items would add value to the game. If creatures begin using enchanted items against players regularly, it might make sense to plan for new avenues of defense, but I'm not going to put the effort into such a concept just to allow players to harass each other.

As stated previously, there are also no plans to include non-magical forces in the creation of enchanted items. Other creation systems will be able to produce items of "effect". Just because your voodoo-khri-inner-mumbo-jumbo face mask of whatever isn't made out of magic doesn't mean you won't ever be able to create it. It just means that you will not need the enchanting skill to do so. Non-magic using guilds will have access to the enchanting creation system, but we're not going to invent some kind of external representation for previously internal forces just to try and pack all supernatural items into the enchanting skill.
