Stat contest {{PRel|Magic|spell}}s lose power over the distance they need to travel unless it's an area-effect pattern. Getting into melee range is critical if you want to try popping a powerful Shear with Soul Sickness.

Realistically, you're better off trying it with {{PRel|Category:Targeted Spells|TM}}. Or a crossbow.
