Recall
An instrument from Elven culture, the pan-pipes are favored particularly by Forest Elves. Consisting of five or more pipes or tubes of gradually increasing length, and occasionally girth, the pan-pipes are also similar to the syrinx. Unlike the syrinx, pan-pipes are traditionally set in a curved array, enabling the musician to reach all notes by a simple turn of the head. Pan-pipes are normally made of reeds, with the kokona reed and bamboo being the two most popular, however a lightweight wood can be used as well.
