Grey Empath Academy

Purpose

Founded by Grey Empaths Illiya and Akeiro, Grey Empath Academy is a school for Empaths who want to learn how to fight adventurers (PvP) while managing their shock. Students gain a solid foundation of how to PvP as an Empath in a low-pressure, fun and friendly environment. They will learn how to attack, defend, and heal themselves and others in individual and group combat situations.

Course Structure

Lecture and matched spars will be held Thursday evenings, while Fridays will be reserved for focused 1v1 and group spar practice on alternating weeks.

Students

Empaths of any level who are interested in learning to harness their native abilities in PvP are welcome to enroll as students. Simply show up and participate during classes and practice sessions! Those who have completed a meaningful amount of coursework and shown competence in applying the principles of Grey Empath combat shall be deemed graduates and receive a special graduation gift.

Location

• Wyvern Arena -

  Located through the arena portal in each city (from the Crossing bank: SW, GO BRIDGE, SE, SE, GO ARENA PORTAL). This will be the location of our 1v1 practice spars. Wyvern Arena is equipped with skill equalization and death prevention mechanics to make for fair and exciting matches!
  

• Kirm Morzindu -

  Located in Steelclaw Clan (from the SCC gate: NW, GO MORZ, GO ARCH, E. Note: you will need 100 Dokoras to enter the arch). This will be the location for group spars. An elaborate arena equipped with observation and team-making capabilities. Not equalized, but a fun introduction to team combat!

• What is a Grey Empath?

  A 'Grey' Empath is one who deals a limited amount of damage to their opponent, straddling the line between totally unshocked and fullshock.

• Am I "big" enough to PvP?

  Yes! Anyone can participate in PvP, and with challenges and/or arena death prevention mechanics there is almost no risk. Your attitude is more important than your skills, and with the goal of learning and having fun it's easy to be a winner! Now with Wyvern Arena equalization, skills and stats can be equalized between any two opponents.

• Can anyone attend?

  The course is open to Empaths of all skill levels, while adventurers of any guild and persuasion are free to audit! We are also looking for non-Empaths to serve as sparring partners. If you are interested in participating as a sparring partner, please contact Illiya or Akeiro!
