Backtrace

Backtrace is an ability a Moon Mage"Moon mage" is not in the list (None, Bard, Barbarian, Cleric, Empath, Moon Mage, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Thief, ...) of allowed values for the "Guild association is" property. is granted that allows them to tell where a locate has come from. Any time a Moon Mage locates someone it leaves a residual imprint of magic in that room. If a Moon Mage knowing the backtrace ability PERCEIVES in that room they will get a description telling them one of several things depending on skill:

• Who was located but not who cast the Locate spell
• Who was located and the Moon Mage who located them
• Who was located, the Moon Mage who located them, and the room name the mage was in when he cast the spell

To learn this ability knowledge of the Locate spell must be known as well as a Power Perception skill requirement. Asking Kssarh in the Crossing guild will grant you the ability if the above requirements have been met.
