Aesthene's Close is a secular holiday.

In The Crossing, on the 29th of Dolefaren, the Fall of Aesthene's Close is sometimes remembered for the havoc and renewal it brought to the city. A procession is held from the Northeast gate to the legendary location of the structure. Children often pretend to be spirits awakened by Aesthene's magic and demand treats from those along the route to not cause mischief. Many adults also choose to take the nightmares into their own lives on this night and to wear garb or carry tokens of the horrors that inspire dread, hoping to spare Asketi's attentions.
