swarm of striped amber honey bees
Look: These flying, honey-bearing insects are identical in every way. Translucent bands of gold and black amber create distinct striping across each abdomen, while a tufted ruff of yellow-tinged fur mantles the thorax. Glossy black onyx forms their large compound eyes, as well as the small, sharply pointed stinger. Paper thin slices of clear amber fit into slim wire frames to create the wings. When set into motion, their movement creates an incessant humming noise.

Verbs

  • STUDY: Experience with the honey bees and other similar items gives a clue to their nature. You believe you could PUSH them to change their location, RUB them to activate or silence them, WEAR them or REMOVE them.

The bees can be worn about the head, neck, right forearm, left forearm, right arm, left arm, right wrist, left wrist, right hand, and left hand.

  • PUSH: With a light push, you redirect a swarm of striped amber honey bees floating around your left hand to hover around your neck instead.
  • RUB: Restoring the atmospherics to your honey bees.
  • WEAR: You slowly release your honey bees into the air, setting them to orbit in lazy circles around your neck. Hovering in place, the bees sway slightly in formation as the sound of their buzzing grows in volume. Eventually, the honey bees quiet and continue the sedate orbit around your neck.
  • REMOVE: With careful timing, you reach out and pluck a swarm of striped amber honey bees from the air.
