Point of View: Miskton
You exclaim, "Okay, if everybody can get settled, I think we can get started!"

You say, "Thank you all for joining me here this evening. We've got a number of visions to discuss this evening, including several that seem to have some good clues toward identifying their subjects."

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning white cigarillo.

Illiya looks at you and lets out a hearty cheer on your behalf!

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Xinphinity takes a sip of his wine.

You say, "There was one that I was thinking of leading off with, because it follows on from visions discussed at a few previous meetings... but given some recent events, I think I may start with a different one."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Zersha raises an eyebrow in your direction.

You say, "The air thickened into a choking miasma as reality warped around me. Through the stench of burnt sugar, enormous jade-green eyes glared down from above, scanning but unseeing. In the distance, a massive, stubby-legged centipede ambled across mountain peaks, trailing orange smoke and leaving a wake of shattered glass."

Kethrai quietly says, "Whatever events could you mean..."

You say, "A sticky sludge pooled around my feet. As the ground began to hiss and burble, I spun around just as an impossibly large horror hurled itself towards me atop a nest of writhing tentacles."

Zersha wrinkles her nose.

You say, "A sudden lance of golden light streaked past, blinding bright. When I could see again, the monster was nothing more than a smoking ruin. The vision faded."

Zersha blinks.

Tirost grins.

You say, "I was not present for the recent excitement that apparently started in the Zaulfung, but those eyes and the centipede are strong symbols of Maelshyve."

Zersha grins at Rejind, her dimples flashing into view.

Zehira nods to you.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Xinphinity ponders.

Kethrai says, "Interesting... As a whole, the vision resembles one from back before magic went wild. Guess it wasn't tied into the Heralds after all."

Zersha furrows her brow.

You say, "Something indicating activity from her is certainly concerning, though the fact that her eyes apparently were not seeing things might be related to her current state."

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "She is dying..."

Gwenddolyn nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Very, very slowly."

Zersha gazes upward.

Rejind asks, "To do with the new spells being discovered, possibly?"

You say, "The tentacled horror does seem like an ur-maeldryth, though I'm not certain about the lance of golden light."

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "I thought she is deceased, or at least...dispatched? Could it be Karszen or Maeldryths involvement?"

Zersha asks in a Velakan accent, "One of the spells maybe?"

Zersha grins at you, her dimples flashing into view.

Elizzibiana asks in an archaic accent, "Or those golden knights?"

Jaelia takes a sip of her brandy.

You say, "It does sound like quite a few of the creatures were destroyed, though, from what I hear. Though not without some cost."

Cherisse says, "I don't believe the triple curse would qualify as golden light."

Zersha asks Cherisse in a Velakan accent, "Not that one, but one of the others?"

Zehira formally says to Cherisse in a refined accent, "I don't think what I can do is a golden light either."

Tirost says to you, "Blessed weapons are strong against ur-maelydryths, though they tend to flash with silvery light for me."

Gwenddolyn says, "Someone in golden plate weapon, the lance."

You say, "The lance of golden light does seem like some things that have been related to the figures in golden plate, though they have usually appeared prominently in any visions which involve them."

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Not that I'm not a fan of men in plate armor, but I'm not sure they're related."

Zersha clears her throat.

Zersha grins, revealing her dimples.

Gwenddolyn says, "Well dolden mana is holy so that makes sense."

Cherisse says to Zersha, "I don't think the empowered spittle is very golden-y."

Valynn looks at Zersha, obviously trying not to grin.

Zersha winks at Valynn.

Jaelia laughs at Zersha.

Gwenddolyn says, "Golden mana is holy."

Jaelia grins at Zersha.

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "Has there been any unusual activity amongst her minions?"

Kethrai says, "Could it be standing for the Philosopher's Knot in general? It's something like a vertical column of light."

Clematis leans over and scratches Illiya's back.

Tirost says to Xinphinity, "They've grown far more dangerous when they evolve."

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Zersha says to Cherisse in a Velakan accent, "I don't think I'd ever thought to hear 'empowered spittle' used in a sentence."

Zersha grins at Cherisse, her dimples flashing into view.

Xinphinity nods to Tirost.

Cherisse giggles at Zersha.

Kethrai says, "But, what's seen in the vision should be yet to come, not something that's already happened, I suppose."

Zersha asks in a Velakan accent, "Maybe the vision was recorded before all the swamp fuss?"

Zersha grins at Kethrai, her dimples flashing into view.

Cherisse says to Zersha, "We can't let the followers of Gauthus strut unassailed with their envious new knowledge."

You say, "Given that I hear they are a source of newly discovered spells, I suppose things destroying ur-maeldryths is an activity that will continue to happen in the near future."

You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Zersha giggles at Cherisse.

Xinphinity quietly asks you in an ancestral accent, "The vision seems to imply her direct involvement which would foretell some remergence perhaps?"

Kiashandra winks at Cherisse.

You say, "Holy magic is a possibility for the golden light, but unfortunately I saw no signs of where it originated."

Umptiskrunk takes a sip of his grog.

Mistanna takes a sip of her Expanse.

Xinphinity takes a sip of his wine.

You say to Xinphinity, "I hope that her being unseeing is the more important part there, but the centipede causing destruction is a concern."

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Dilemma leans back against Ellywen with a loving smile.

Xinphinity slowly empties his lungs.

Xinphinity nods to you.

You say, "Still, if people are going to be hunting the ur-maeldryths, I would ask them to keep an eye out for anything... more than usually strange happening in there."

Lasciel says, "It's very strange in there."

Lasciel nods to you.

Zersha nibbles her lip thoughtfully.

Zersha nods at Lasciel, obviously agreeing with her views.

Kethrai says, "If any of the demons could continue wreaking havoc after they died, seems like it would be her."

Vyraka smiles at Dilemma.

Zersha grins at Hebion, her dimples flashing into view.

Anuril raises an eyebrow in Tirost's direction.

Hebion nods to Zersha.

You say, "The next vision I have to discuss appears to be a continuation of some we've talked about recently..."

You frown.

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Zersha cocks her head at you.

You say, "A scene of ruin and chaos stretched before me, and I watched as a man used blade and shield to fight a pack of monstrous, fire-spitting creatures, weaving protectively around a child and mother. The mother fought fiercely, slicing a small knife with precision, her other arm wrapped around her child. Several burns still sizzled across her shoulders and weapon arm, but still she fought."

You say, "A particularly bold creature leapt forward, and time seemed to slow."

You say, "The mother leaned aside, driving her dagger in an upward thrust into the creature's belly. The man leapt backward and cleaved a wide, blind arc. The creature howled as it died, but the mother's legs buckled and she began to fall, a fatal wound opening across her neck and chest. A spray of blood spattered across the child's face. The child went wide-eyed and silent."

Tirost gazes at you.

You say, "The vision faded."

Zersha gasps!

Zersha sniffles.

Karthor winces.

Ezerak frowns.

Xinphinity ponders.

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Poor childling."

Kiashandra gets a thoughtful expression on her face.

Mistanna frowns.

You say, "I have the feeling that this is still building toward something... but it seems unlikely to be a happy ending."

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Tirost frowns.

Dilemma frowns.

Valynn frowns.

Gwenddolyn says, "An orphaned child, fire spitting creatures."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Fire spitting..."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "That seems to narrow things somewhat."

Hebion nods to Zersha.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Vyraka huskily asks in a Gorbesh accent, "Fire!?"

Zersha wipes one of her eyes.

Vyraka huskily asks in a Gorbesh accent, "Like those ur-things?"

Xinphinity ponders how many large creatures also spew flames of some sort.

You say, "So far, it still seems hard to make much of it other than a specific event, barring some enlightenment on what the creatures might represent if not actual beings."

Vyraka huskily asks in a Gorbesh accent, "Are they fire based?"

Tirost quietly says, "The mother fought to protect her child with all she had."

Jaelia takes a sip of her brandy.

Zehira formally says to Vyraka in a refined accent, "They cast other things, not fire at me I don't think."

Vyraka nods to Zehira.

Zehira formally says in a refined accent, "And they have tentacles."

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "They do?"

Zehira nods to Xinphinity.

Zehira formally says in a refined accent, "Or things that look like them."

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I hope the beasties die and the child finds a safe home. That should be the next vision."

Zersha nods to you.

Zehira formally says in a refined accent, "They are nasty."

Seihjin looks at Amabalis, obviously trying not to grin.

Amabalis grins, revealing her dimples.

Tirost takes a sip of his wine.

Cherisse says, "I think its symbolism. The accepted protector not being enough. The sacrifice that must be made to rescue the future."

Zehira formally says in a refined accent, "There is a way to repel them though, I have it in my vault."

You say to Zersha, "I suspect that there may still be more to see... hopefully it will end that way."

Zersha nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Zersha smiles at you, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "The time slowing is of interest..."

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Amabalis looks at Seihjin and shrugs.

Kiashandra glances at Cherisse.

Kiashandra jots down some notes.

Amabalis grins at Seihjin, her dimples flashing into view.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Xinphinity takes a sip of his wine.

Umptiskrunk blinks in confusion for a second.

Zersha gazes at Umptiskrunk.

You say, "I suppose it is also instructional on the importance of learning to cooperate in combat."

Umptiskrunk shows Zersha his 'Tog Fist grog.

Umptiskrunk makes a grunting noise.

Zersha giggles at Umptiskrunk.

Zersha pats Umptiskrunk on the back.

Zersha nods at Hebion, obviously agreeing with his views.

Zersha grins at Hebion, her dimples flashing into view.

Kethrai nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Amabalis smiles at Seihjin, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Cherisse says, "I didn't consider that it was the protector who killed the mother."

Cherisse ponders.

Zersha raises an eyebrow in Hebion's direction.

Rejind nods to you.

Cherisse jots down some notes.

You say, "Since while it was a bit chaotic, my impression is very much that the mother was accidentally struck by the man."

Xinphinity raises an eyebrow.

Rejind says to Cherisse, "It doesn't seem clear, but I felt it implied that at least the fatal blow might have been struck by the man."

Lasciel asks, "Oh what? The monster didn't kill her?"

Kiashandra ponders.

Kiashandra jots down some notes.

Zersha asks Rejind in a Velakan accent, "I can see it both ways, the vision seems unclear on that, doesn't it?"

Vyraka shakes her head at Lasciel.

Zersha gazes thoughtfully at Rejind.

Rejind nods to Zersha.

Amabalis gives Seihjin a gentle poke in the ribs.

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "She killed the monster it appears, and her defender seems to have dealt a killing, albeit accidental blow?"

Seihjin hums to himself.

Cherisse says, "Perhaps then its the establishment striking out in blind rage, when the people stand up and deal with a problem, the establishment is failing to keep down."

Xinphinity gazes at Cherisse.

Vyraka huskily asks Anuril in a Gorbesh accent, "Do you have to do that now?"

Anuril asks Cherisse, "Ah, like necromancers?"

Xinphinity nods in agreement.

Tirost says, "I think the man was fighting against the monster to protect the mother and child, but there were likely too many."

Zersha blinks at Anuril.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Zehira formally says to Vyraka in a refined accent, "You just have to ignore it, he likes to whip out all his wands for some reason."

Amabalis grins at Seihjin, her dimples flashing into view.

Xinphinity takes a sip of his wine.

Vyraka smirks.

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Amabalis nods at Seihjin, obviously agreeing with his views.

You say, "I suppose we shall see if there's more to come, there. The next vision is less unpleasant, at least."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Zersha beams at you! What a warm feeling!

Cherisse asks Anuril, "Consider the fire motif, I don't think that would be the enemy being portrayed. Perhaps more followers of Gauthus with their freshly enhanced toy?"

Amabalis nods to Seihjin.

Vyraka appears to be listening intently for something.

Zehira grins at Cherisse, her dimples flashing into view.

Seihjin rubs his hands together.

Anuril says, "It's hard to tell when things are metaphor and when they are not, isn't it."

Anuril nods to Cherisse.

Amabalis grins at Kiashandra, her dimples flashing into view.

You say, "I stood in the midst of a sprawling market place, hearing the shouting of trade and bickering over deals, smelling savory meats and sugary treats, pungent spices and the catch of the day becoming less than fresh. A green-orange crystal sprouted before me, flowing upward like water and solidifying into a curious little pillar. The crystalline pillar tilted slightly, as if addressing me, and my head filled with a catchy chime that no one nearby appeared to hear. I touched the pillar's crown, sending a ripple of light expanding across the surface in concentric rings. A tidy stack of platinum Kronars drifted upward, passing seamlessly through the crystal's surface."

Kiashandra grins at Amabalis.

Illiya closes her eyes and settles into a graceful stance.

You say, "As I scooped up the coins, my vision went a little grey and fuzzy. Nearby, another pillar sprouted and faced a curious merchant, and the vision faded."

Amabalis giggles.

Cherisse nods to Anuril.

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "How about that."

Zersha gazes thoughtfully at you.

Vyraka huskily exclaims in a Gorbesh accent, "Dreams of winning the Zoluren Lottery of course!"

You say, "That certainly strikes me as something related to Trader magic. Though I'm afraid I don't recall if that green-orange color corresponds to one of their commonly used crystal types."

Amabalis nods emphatically at Kiashandra.

Karthor scratches his head.

Valynn takes a sip of her Expanse.

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "Perhaps it speaks to a new type of Tessra?"

Gwenddolyn asks, "Perhaps a portable pillar for banking on the run?"

Rejind says, "It would make sense, but I'm also unaware of Trader crystal colors."

Amabalis grins at Seihjin, her dimples flashing into view.

Cherisse says, "I feel like I need to make friends with a trader if they are going to start creating pillars that spew platinums all about."

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "It was a very polite pillar, giving that little bow and all."

You say, "I don't think it matches crauyarin, avtalia, or Trabe crystals, though."

Zersha giggles at Cherisse.

Kethrai says, "It doesn't seem like crauyarin or avtalia, at least."

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Cherisse.

Zersha nods at Cherisse, obviously agreeing with her views.

Kethrai nods to you.

Vyraka squints at Anuril.

Jaelia asks Cherisse, "Instead of you just handing lots of plats to them personally?"

Jaelia says to Cherisse, "Maybe we are the pillars."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "I know some. I wonder if the Negotiants were an imbalanced contract to make with their guild."

Anuril praises Tirost.

Tirost chuckles at Anuril.

Kiashandra takes a sip of her Elixir.

Umptiskrunk takes a sip of his grog.

Cherisse says to Anuril, "To be clear, I hold no ill will towards Warrior Mages as a collective."

Zersha smiles at Hebion, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "They have obtained magiks some feel are better suited in our hands, or at least in our hands first."

Anuril dryly asks Cherisse, "Just certain ones?"

Zersha shifts her weight.

Cherisse gazes at Anuril and rubs her chin in pious contemplation.

Hebion rests his hand on Zersha's arm with a soft smile.

Anuril chuckles.

You say, "Tapping a crystal to get money has appeal, though my vision going grey and fuzzy seems to indicate some possible cost there."

Zersha beams at Hebion!

Zersha grins at you, her dimples flashing into view.

Gwenddolyn nods to you.

Tirost nods to you.

Cherisse says to Anuril, "I don't think so, but you never know who I might be forgetting."

Vyraka huskily asks Anuril in a Gorbesh accent, "Don't we all have someone we dislike?"

Rejind says, "The platinum did seem to be payment for something, though what wasn't clear."

Xinphinity quietly says to you in an ancestral accent, "As with the Tessra, the magic is lent under conditions that can be..."

Anuril nods to Cherisse.

Seihjin looks at Amabalis, obviously trying not to grin.

Xinphinity ponders.

Tirost raises his rice wine in a toast.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Questionable."

Mistanna takes a sip of her Expanse.

Lasciel chuckles at Xinphinity.

Agostom says to Vyraka in an insular accent, "I keep a list, like any perfectly rational person."

Vyraka grins at Agostom.

Kiashandra grins at Amabalis.

Dilemma chuckles.

You say to Xinphinity, "I seem to recall that some interactions can also result in a Trader bursting into flames when exposed to bright sunlight. Yes, there does seem to be some risk."

Xinphinity nods at Lasciel, obviously agreeing with her views.

Zersha grins at Cherisse, her dimples flashing into view.

Zersha blinks at you.

Valynn blinks at you.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Xinphinity nods to you.

Valynn glances at Zersha.

Tirost takes a sip of his wine.

Zersha softly says to Valynn in a Velakan accent, "Yet another reason I'm glad to be a Ranger."

Zersha grins at Valynn, her dimples flashing into view.

Zersha giggles.

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Cherisse says, "It does feel like there is some sort of cost being extracted by these pillars. I'm stuck in the land of symbolism. Capitalism greying our world, stealing its true beauty, something."

Valynn grins at Zersha.

Rejind asks, "Spontaneous combustion of Traders eh?"

Illiya takes a bite of some golden brown griddle-fried dumplings stuffed with shrimp and aromatics and chews carefully on it.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "They can apparently take loan of lunar energies with tremendous penalties if those loans remain unpaid."

Illiya takes a bite of some golden brown griddle-fried dumplings stuffed with shrimp and aromatics and chews carefully on it.

Gwenddolyn says, "A heck of a sunburn."

Lasciel says to you, "Trader Magic is the worst kind of sorcery."

Cherisse giggles at Zersha.

Ellywen says to Lasciel in a lilting accent, "Says the moon mage.."

Zersha looks at Rejind, obviously trying not to grin, but the dimples in her cheeks give her away.

Lasciel nods at Ellywen, obviously agreeing with her views.

Zersha laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.

Xinphinity raises an eyebrow.

Illiya takes a bite of her salmon and a look of hearty satisfaction crosses her face.

Kiashandra takes a sip of her Elixir.

Ellywen pats Illiya on the back.

Kethrai says, "Liraxes was a being of Probability that served the Greater Concept of Balance. When it appeared once at the Traders' guild, the Negotiants seemed to defer to it."

Illiya flashes a quick grin at Ellywen.

Ellywen says to Illiya in a lilting accent, "Careful.. heartburn."

Ellywen rubs Illiya in a friendly manner.

Tirost glances at Anuril.

Kethrai says, "So, whatever else they might be, I doubt they're imbalanced."

Illiya says to Ellywen, "I should be able to heal it."

Kiashandra nods at Amabalis, obviously agreeing with her views.

Agostom says to Kethrai in an insular accent, "Moon mages, I'm pretty sure they're imbalanced."

Ellywen ponders.

Zersha softly says in a Velakan accent, "Prepare heal heartburn coming up."

Zersha chortles softly at some secret joke.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "I think you mean.."

Cherisse asks Kethrai, "So if the pillar is representative of a greater being, the gift of platinum is balanced by the theft of... something?"

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Unbalanced."

Xinphinity appears to be trying hard not to grin.

You say to Agostom, "There's a fair number of people who might claim that."

You grin wryly.

Agostom says to Xinphinity in an insular accent, "You are correct."

Rejind says to Cherisse, "Theft or perhaps the being thought the person touching it was consent for whatever."

Vyraka jots down some notes.

Zersha asks Rejind in a Velakan accent, "Theft or trade then?"

Xinphinity quietly says to Agostom in an ancestral accent, "Access to the planes and fates are not held without at least some risk."

Rejind nods to Zersha.

Zersha nods to Rejind.

Tirost smiles at Valynn.

Mistanna takes a sip of her Expanse.

Xinphinity quietly says to Agostom in an ancestral accent, "Tezirah taught us that."

Xinphinity covers his mouth with his hand.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Whoops."

Xinphinity gazes upward.

Xinphinity cringes.

Rejind says, "I suppose we'll have to wait until giant crystals start sprouting in trader plazas, see what's what."

Zersha peers quizzically at Xinphinity.

Lasciel pats Xinphinity on the back.

Casari says, "Standard decor for Shard."

Mistanna asks, "Could the coins be bait?"

Agostom says to Xinphinity in an insular accent, "I'm not sure if you're very brave, or very foolish, for mentioning Tezirah in public. Lucky for me, she isn't my problem."

Agostom grins at Xinphinity.

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "A pretty dress would be better bait for me."

Illiya grins at Zersha, her dimples flashing into view.

Cherisse giggles at Zersha.

Cherisse glances at Zersha.

Zersha winks at Cherisse.

Zehira says to Agostom in a refined accent, "The least of."

Illiya says, "You can use coins to buy pretty dresses."

Zersha chortles softly at some secret joke.

Kiashandra nods at Zersha, obviously agreeing with her views.

Cherisse jots down some notes.

Umptiskrunk loudly says, "Ump is gypsy. Play with dice, deal cards, talk to Fate."

Umptiskrunk hums to himself.

Zersha grins at Umptiskrunk, her dimples flashing into view.

Seihjin laughs with delight, his eyes full of merriment.

Xinphinity quietly says to Agostom in an ancestral accent, "Both...in parts...I think. Twas an error indeed. Fortunately my sect maintains a tenuous understanding with hers."

Kiashandra nods to Amabalis.

Illiya takes a tiny bite of a lotus petal-patterned pastry stuffed with nomlas and Therengian river rice and chews daintily on it.

Cherisse says to Umptiskrunk, "Sounds like any common gambler to be honest."

Amabalis nods to Kiashandra.

Agostom nods to Xinphinity.

Umptiskrunk loudly says to Cherisse, "Sect is known for gambling, yup."

Umptiskrunk nods to Cherisse.

You say, "For the next vision..."

You ponder.

Kiashandra nods to Amabalis.

You say, "I think perhaps I should make a disclaimer before discussing this one."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Mistanna tilts her head to one side.

Zersha cocks her head at you.

Xinphinity raises an eyebrow in your direction.

Agostom says to Umptiskrunk in an insular accent, "Makes sense, considering the name Fortune's Path."

Umptiskrunk grins at Agostom.

Valynn hums to herself.

Illiya leans over and scratches Valynn's back.

Umptiskrunk nods at Agostom, obviously agreeing with his views.

Valynn grins at Illiya.

Dilemma shifts her weight.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

You say, "While they are certainly some implications that can be made from elements seen in the vision, I do not believe there is anything in it that directly reveals anything that some people might want kept secret."

You clear your throat.

You say, "So, that having been said..."

Anuril raises an eyebrow.

Zersha looks about with a puzzled expression on her face.

Xinphinity gazes at you.

Umptiskrunk leans forward.

Umptiskrunk observes you with fascination.

Xinphinity seems to be waiting for something.

You say, "Constellations danced under a moonless sky, a bluer-than-blue smudge smearing the light of the constellation of the Panther."

Tirost smiles at Saph.

You say, "An old beggar dressed in rags scanned around a moment before slipping into the shadows and sneaking down the alleyway. The beggar arrived at a narrow drainage grate, and gave it a precise twist and pull, freeing it cleanly from its frame. The beggar then shimmied backwards into the culvert, reset the grate, and vanished down the pipe."

Amabalis nods at Kiashandra, obviously agreeing with her views.

You say, "After a moment, a young urchin approached the drain, and inexpertly mimicked the motion, giving the grate a pull and twist. After a few clumsy tries, the grate popped free. Looking equal parts startled and satisfied, the urchin replaced the grate and hurried down the alley, looking back frequently."

You say, "The vision faded."

Xinphinity holds his breath.

Zersha shifts her weight.

Elizzibiana chortles softly at some secret joke.

Zersha quietly asks in a Velakan accent, "Are we allowed to talk?"

Zehira hugs Ellywen, who wraps her arms around Zehira with a warm smile.

Ellywen grins.

Zehira gently kisses Dilemma on the cheek.

You chuckle.

Zehira kisses Vyraka. And she doesn't seem to want to stop.

Ellywen hugs Zehira, who wraps her arms around Ellywen with a warm smile.

Zehira gently kisses Cherisse on the cheek.

You say, "The constellation of the Panther of course points toward Damaris."

Agostom says in an insular accent, "Seems like there is about to be one less urchin in a town."

Zehira nods to Dilemma.

Vyraka kisses Zehira. And she doesn't seem to want to stop.

Cherisse smiles at Zehira, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Kethrai says, "I don't... much like the idea of another smudge in the sky."

Zehira shoves futilely at Agostom.

Gwenddolyn nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Mistanna glances up at the sky.

After a few moments she lowers her gaze.

Valynn says, "Sounds like Ratha and it's tunnels."

Dilemma gazes off to the southwest.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "All of this heavily speaks to closely held secrets."

You say, "That blue smudge is another point of concern, but perhaps not the only point of the vision."

Anuril ponders.

Amabalis nods at Kiashandra, obviously agreeing with her views.

Seihjin takes a sip of his cider.

Kiashandra grins at Amabalis.

Cherisse asks, "Does the blue smudge or a smudge of any color in the sky hold some historical significance?"

Rejind says, "Not just secrets, but secrets that have been discovered."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Ratha is not the only locale with tunnels, but crossing is the only place with a beggar and urchin of that description I believe..."

You say, "A good idea to keep an eye on the Panther in the sky, though it may be the case again that something is bleeding into multiple different visions when the heavens are prominently featured."

Amabalis giggles.

Lasciel glances up at the sky.

After a few moments she lowers her gaze.

Jaelia takes a sip of her brandy.

Tirost takes a sip of his wine.

Seihjin takes a sip of his cider.

Lasciel says, "It's not even up there."

Kethrai closes his eyes and settles into a graceful stance.

You say to Cherisse, "That was what was originally seen of the Involuted Passage, long before its actual arrival here."

Anuril glances outside a moment.

Seihjin takes a sip of his cider.

Zersha glances outside a moment.

Anuril glances up at the sky.

After a few moments he lowers his gaze.

Seihjin takes a sip of his cider.

Kiashandra glances at a sleek golden panther with enigmatic violet eyes.

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "Rain."

Zersha sighs.

Hebion rests his hand on Zersha's arm with a soft smile.

Zersha grins at Hebion, her dimples flashing into view.

Valynn quietly asks Xinphinity, "Does Damaris ever appear as a beggar?"

You say, "Aside from the elements in the sky... the rest of the vision seems like it could represent the passing of knowledge to a new generation."

Cherisse says, "Involuted Passage is something to read about later."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Could be speaking to the when of this. And, bear in mind that the starlight sphere representation is that bluish-purple..."

Umptiskrunk loudly says, "Panther can be anything. Is master of disguise."

Zersha glances at a sleek golden panther with enigmatic violet eyes.

Rejind says to you, "Didn't seem intentional though. Seemed more a secret discovered vice a secret given."

Valynn nods to Umptiskrunk.

Lasciel nods to Zersha.

Mistanna takes a sip of her Expanse.

Zersha chortles softly at some secret joke.

Lasciel lays her palms against Zersha's in a quick, yet deliberate movement.

Lasciel says, "Smart."

Tirost takes a sip of his wine.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Cherisse says, "Unless the teacher did not want to get caught if a guard wandered by while the urchin was breaking into a locked area."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "If the trader vision was any hint, perhaps they plan on revealing the arts of a particular guild to the urchin corps."

Xinphinity rolls his eyes.

Isaish smirks at Elizzibiana.

Valynn quietly says to herself, "Just remember, there are many secrets that lay below the streets of all the cities."

Zersha nods at Valynn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Xinphinity nods to Valynn.

Kiashandra nods to Valynn.

Umptiskrunk nods at Valynn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Illiya smiles at Valynn, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Zersha gazes down at the floor.

Zersha softly says in a Velakan accent, "We are in a tower though, so that's a long ways down..."

Zersha giggles.

Elizzibiana snickers at Isaish.

Umptiskrunk chuckles at Zersha.

Valynn looks at Zersha, obviously trying not to grin.

Jaelia takes a sip of her brandy.

Elizzibiana nods to Isaish.

You say, "The urchin's actions do seem likely to not be entirely authorized, but I'm not going to speculate too much on how such things might be taught."

Xinphinity quietly asks Valynn in an ancestral accent, "Aesry? M'riss? Merkresh?"

Vyraka huskily asks in a Gorbesh accent, "Did the urchin trap the old beggar in the sewer?"

Valynn quietly says to Zersha, "I wonder what back door corridors are behind the walls of this tower."

Zersha casually observes the area.

Zersha says to Valynn in a Velakan accent, "And where they go."

Cherisse says, "Of course it is also a grate, so the teacher could be hidden in the shadows inside, coaching the urchin as well."

You say, "The motions to remove the grate do seem to indicate a particular bit of knowledge that is required for something, though."

Valynn nods to Zersha.

Zersha nibbles her lip thoughtfully.

Kethrai nods to Tirost.

Tirost smiles at Kethrai.

Valynn says to Xinphinity, "I have not visited the islands in many years. Their mysteries are lost to me."

Zersha says to Xinphinity in a Velakan accent, "I don't know about tunnels, but Kresh is cursed."

Cherisse frowns at Zersha.

Umptiskrunk loudly says to Valynn, "Is visit Moon Mage island sometime. Is nice place."

Valynn takes a sip of her Expanse.

Xinphinity quietly says to Valynn in an ancestral accent, "If there are tunnels in those places, I have not charted them."

Zersha nods to Cherisse.

Xinphinity taps a cartographer's eyepiece rimmed in bronze that he is wearing.

Lasciel says, "Ratha is mostly sewer."

Kiashandra takes a sip of her Elixir.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Zersha chuckles at Lasciel.

Valynn asks Zersha, "Where can I find the history of 'Kresh and its curse?"

You say, "And then I have one more vision to discuss this evening, which is concerning of itself, but those smudges we've seen in other visions lately make it even more so."

Mistanna takes a sip of her Expanse.

Zersha says to Valynn in a Velakan accent, "On...Kresh."

You turn a page in your astronomer's journal.

Anuril observes you with fascination.

Ellywen says to Valynn in a lilting accent, "There's a library on Mer'kresh."

Zersha grins at Ellywen, her dimples flashing into view.

Valynn folds her arms across her chest.

You say, "A blazing hot sun beat down as I squinted into the rough surf. Children splashed in the waves, ducking under and riding breaks, their sunbaked bodies shivering in the cold waters. Water coursed around my ankles, dragging fine sand out to sea, and amidst the hissing sea foam, I saw the sands teem with exposed life - tiny clams, whelks, and flat urchins - each struggling to burrow back into cover."

Zersha points at Ellywen.

Ellywen says to Valynn in a lilting accent, "They've a book or two about it in there."

Valynn squints at Zersha.

Valynn ponders.

You say, "I bent down and picked up a shell, marveling at its swirling pattern of red, blue, and black, twinkling with iridescence."

Amabalis grins at Seihjin, her dimples flashing into view.

Kiashandra quietly says, "Book club..."

Valynn nods to Ellywen.

You say, "Something pricked my toe, and I looked down to see a sharp crystal buried in the surf. The shell crumbled to chalky dust in my hand."

Ellywen nods to Kiashandra.

Zersha nods at Kiashandra, obviously agreeing with her views.

Valynn grins at Kiashandra.

Ellywen grins at Kiashandra.

You say, "The vision faded."

Kiashandra grins.

Tirost gazes thoughtfully at you.

Karthor scratches his head.

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "If only that vision was as nice as it sounds like it should be."

Mistanna says, "Moon-colored shell."

You say, "The crystal buried in the surf is the concern there, because we still do not know what has happened with the crystal from the Involuted Passage that ended up in the ocean."

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "But his toe is probably going to turn green and fall off or something."

Gwenddolyn says, "So outside of water it turns to chalky dust."

Cherisse giggles at Zersha.

Tirost nods to you.

Rejind says, "Hrm, and the giant emerging crystals from the other vision."

You say, "I think the destruction of the shell is probably linked to being pricked by the crystal."

Saph nods to Rejind.

Cherisse says, "I suppose the color represent the moons."

Tirost takes a sip of his wine.

You say to Cherisse, "Most likely, yes."

Lasciel says, "I like the beach."

Agostom takes a sip of his wine.

Zersha nods at Lasciel, obviously agreeing with her views.

Elizzibiana says in an archaic accent, "Hmm, wonder if the travel crystals are being awakened again."

Anuril dryly says, "If something is going to come out of the sea and try to kill us I wish it would get on with it already."

You say to Elizzibiana, "That would certainly be preferable to what I fear."

Elizzibiana chuckles.

Kethrai jabs an elbow into Anuril's ribs. The honeymoon must be over.

Karthor chuckles.

Valynn asks Elizzibiana, "The ones moonmages can create or could create?"

Anuril coughs.

Clematis peers quizzically at you.

Elizzibiana shakes her head at Valynn.

Illiya asks you, "What do you fear?"

You say, "I can only assume that the crystal is still down there, and has possibly been growing over time."

Anuril nods to you.

Tirost frowns.

Kethrai nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Rejind asks you, "Is there any indication as to which beach that was?"

Valynn ponders.

Elizzibiana says to Valynn in an archaic accent, "Very long sago crystals were discovered that when rubbed would take you to various cities."

You say, "Somewhere safe enough for children to play, I suppose."

Rejind says, "Mmm. Children play on the beach outside Yrisa's hut, I believe."

Cherisse says, "Could the shell's destruction represent a disconnection? The crystal no longer reliant on the Moons."

Valynn says to Elizzibiana, "That must have been when I was in exile. I am sad to have missed it."

Elizzibiana says to Valynn in an archaic accent, "I found some hidden in m y vault and just trashed them."

Rejind says, "But I am sure children play on many beaches."

Gwenddolyn says, "Well thanks for sharing the visioos misktong."

Valynn takes a sip of her Expanse.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Gwenddolyn waves.

Lasciel shakes your hand.

Gwenddolyn nods to Tirost.

Elizzibiana stands near Isaish.

Gwenddolyn nods to you.

Vyraka waves.

Isaish leans back against Elizzibiana with a loving smile.

Tirost takes a sip of his wine.

Valynn gets a crisp red radish from inside a burnished gold lunchbox painted with an emerald-green dragon.

Valynn takes a bite of the radish.

Illiya grins at Valynn, her dimples flashing into view.

Valynn glances at a crisp red radish and grins.

Valynn grins at Illiya.

Valynn takes a bite of the radish.

Vyraka grins.

Xinphinity mumbles a word of general praise.

Illiya takes a tiny bite of a lotus petal-patterned pastry stuffed with nomlas and Therengian river rice and chews daintily on it.

You say, "My gut feeling is that the destruction of the shell is a threat to moon mages. Probably not the actual moons. Or at least, not until later."

Kethrai observes Vyraka with fascination.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Mistanna takes a sip of her Expanse.

Xinphinity takes a sip of his wine.

Illiya looks with concern at you.

Kethrai takes a sip of his Expanse.

Xinphinity raises an eyebrow in your direction.

Valynn looks at you and jots down some notes.

Valynn takes a bite of the radish.

Illiya says to you, "That would be very concerning if that is the case."

Valynn takes a bite of the radish.

Valynn licks her lips.

Cherisse asks, "Perhaps a new threat that can disconnect the Mage from their lunar power?"

Isaish whispers something to Elizzibiana.

Xinphinity quietly asks you in an ancestral accent, "Care to elaborate on that last statement?"

Elizzibiana chuckles at Isaish.

Elizzibiana pats Isaish on the back.

Anuril asks you, "Because of the colors of the shell?"

Elizzibiana shakes her head at Isaish.

Valynn nods to Illiya.

You nod to Anuril.

Anuril nods.

Valynn takes a bite of the radish.

Valynn takes a bite of the radish.

Valynn licks her lips.

Tirost says to you, "The presence of the crystal around children playing on the beach is troubling. It may not do much good, but it might be worth reaching out to Khoheke and others who might hear reports of anything out of the ordinary around the islands. These visions have been presistent."

Kethrai says, "If it's related to the Involuted Passage, it seemed like that was aimed at Moon Mages too. Its arrival corresponded with some threatening visions."

Lasciel says, "There's never any moons as it is and half the time it's day time for some reason."

Anuril observes Lasciel with fascination.

Anuril gazes upward.

Lasciel says, "Well not now."

You say to Xinphinity, "If the moons are going to be destroyed by the growth of crystals related to the Involuted Passage... I think it is likely all of Elanthia will suffer first, and that would likely be a very strong element to a vision in itself."

Valynn glances outside a moment.

Ellywen nods to Dilemma.

Valynn quietly says to Zersha, "I could never be a moon mage. All their dreams confuse me."

Valynn appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Zersha nods at Valynn, obviously agreeing with her views.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "They confuse us too."

Xinphinity nods.

You say, "For reference... although we don't exactly have a clear plan outline, from things experienced while on the Involuted Passage, the plan did seem to involve crystals growing over the entire planet, something it had done to others in the past."

Zersha grins at Xinphinity, her dimples flashing into view.

Valynn grins at Xinphinity.

Umptiskrunk nods at Xinphinity, obviously agreeing with his views.

Xinphinity gasps!

Anuril says to you, "The componennt to cause that could have been present on what fell into the sea."

You nod to Anuril.

Lasciel asks, "The whole planet?"

Anuril ponders.

You say, "It was firing crystal spikes, which seemed like the method to initiate the change. Most of them were destroyed, but some fragments still landed in the ocean."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "I have detected a potenial pattern in the appearances of the Nascent Unknown."

Kethrai says, "It also launched many crystalline attacks before it was brought down."

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "It is not good news, if accurate."

You ask Xinphinity, "What's that?"

Valynn glances at Xinphinity.

Ellywen nods to Cherisse.

Agostom ponders.

Dilemma shifts her weight.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Based on the previous appearances, including gaps..."

Agostom asks in an insular accent, "Has anything good ever come from a Moon Mage vision?"

Anuril dryly says, "You would think the merelew would be yelling something fierce if the sea were turning to crystal."

Ezerak nods at Anuril, obviously agreeing with his views.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Given the lag in temporal advancement..."

Rejind asks, "Mm, during the Wild Magic saga Rangers were used to commune with Elanthia itself, to try and feel out wounds. There was some success with it as I recall, would it be worth doing again for this?"

Cherisse says to Anuril, "The crystal got them first..."

Anuril winces.

Anuril nods to Cherisse.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "We could be looking at another appearance in..."

Illiya says to Agostom, "Puppies."

Rejind says, "And this time our magic is going wild and dead aroudn us."

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "37 Moliko the Balance, 455?"

Agostom chuckles at Illiya.

Rejind says, "Our magic ISN'T doing that, rather."

Kiashandra takes a sip of her Elixir.

Xinphinity quietly asks in an ancestral accent, "Perhaps through 1 Skullcleaver the Dwarven Axe, 455?"

You stroke your beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Casari asks, "What year do you think it is right now?"

Anuril laughs!

Valynn says, "That's a rather specific date."

Elizzibiana coughs.

Anuril praises Casari.

Lasciel nods to Casari.

Xinphinity coughs.

Elizzibiana asks in an archaic accent, "Xin you realize we are in 457 now?"

Illiya grins at Casari, her dimples flashing into view.

Elizzibiana chuckles at Kiashandra.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Sorry 458."

Elizzibiana nods to Xinphinity.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Soon."

Lasciel says, "It's much easier to predict past events."

Lasciel nods to Xinphinity.

Elizzibiana chuckles at Lasciel.

You grin at Lasciel.

Kethrai asks, "Based on... the gap between its previous appearances?"

Xinphinity grins, revealing his dimples.

Tirost chuckles.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Aye..."

Kethrai asks, "...the one of them?"

Anuril laughs!

Valynn smiles at Xinphinity.

Anuril coughs.

Ellywen says in a lilting accent, "Welp..."

Ellywen says in a lilting accent, "Bye."

Lasciel waves.

Anuril looks at you, praising you and supporting you with his approval.

Jaelia nods.

Tirost smiles at Valynn.

Anuril takes a sip of his cocktail.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "The Nascent Unknown has been spotted multiple times."

Valynn says, "Time to ponder the trees and paths of the forest."

Zersha says in a Velakan accent, "I fear I do find myself rather tired. I hope everyone has a safe path home."

Tirost says to Valynn, "Take care out there, Ranger."

Kethrai takes a sip of his Expanse.

Hebion joins Zersha's group.

Rejind waves to Zersha.

Hebion nods politely.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "Ranging from 445 to.."

Zersha says to you in a Velakan accent, "Thank you for sharing your visions as always."

Zersha waves to Rejind.

Casari waves to Valynn.

Zersha just hugged Cherisse.

Zersha hugs Valynn, getting a smile in return.

Valynn says to Tirost, "Thank you for the instruction."

Zersha hugs Illiya, getting a smile in return.

Zersha curtsies gracefully.

Cherisse says to you, "Thank you for hosting. Its quite fun to make wild guesses at something less clear than the will of the Immortals."

Valynn hoots, sounding remarkably like a real owl.

Xinphinity quietly says in an ancestral accent, "448."

Tirost warmly says to Valynn, "Most welcome."

Clematis waves to Valynn.

Tirost smiles.

You grin at Cherisse.

Saph bows to you.

Kethrai glances at you.

Kethrai takes a sip of his Expanse.

You exclaim, "And yes, that does conclude the visions I have to discuss this evening. So thank you all for coming!"
