The Merelew of Andreshlew harvest fine, fibrous reeds and sea-silk strands from tidal marshes and then knot the delicate threads into a lightweight, decorative openwork textile with an exceptionally fine weave. It is not suitable to be used as a base material for anything bigger than a small bag or necklace, though it is sturdy enough to be used as trim or overlay on most garments. Its surface carries the subtle sparkle reminiscent of sunlight glinting on a misty cove at dawn, no matter what color it is dyed.
Introduced during Hollow Eve Festival 454.
Common Description
The dawnmist lace trim displays a delicate sparkle, echoing the soft shimmer of dawn breaking across on a misted cove.
