[Moon Mage Guild, Seers' Study] (2017210)

The skylights above curve down to form the exterior wall of this wedge-shaped chamber, offering a breathtaking view of the western half of the city and Wyvern Mountain beyond. One interior wall is lined with sturdy bookcases, while the other features a large cork board next to a desk stocked with paper and writing implements. A complicated web-patterned mosaic on the floor converges on a black marble lectern near the crystal wall. You also see a frosty observer manifested as a sequence of ceaselessly falling raindrops, a frosty observer manifested as a series of swirling snowflakes, a frosty observer manifested as a trio of watery orbs orbiting one another, a Prydaen villager, an azure poplar tree and a comfortable chair with Elothean silk upholstery.

Also here: Citizen Miraeven, Light of the World Gwenddolyn who is surrounded by a corona of fiery light, Traim, Court Mage Miskton who is protected by a crazed black barrier, Lady of Elamiri Ayrell, Valynn, Priestess Aemaranth who is emanating a malevolent holy aura, Firehawk Casari, Mountain Lord Ezerak, Forest Sprite Lileath, Shield of Starlight Betlind, Veteran Apprentice Anuril who has a fiery visage, Heart Tender Kethrai, Soul Surgeon Zynell who is sitting, Healer Aerilia, Qetu who has a stony visage and Ryeka who is shrouded in ghostly flames.

Obvious exits: southwest.

Anuril chortles softly at some secret joke.

Aerilia hugs you, and you wrap your arms around her with a warm smile.

You hug Aerilia who wraps her arms around you with a warm smile. A faint scent of fresh honey clings to her skin.

Betlind smiles at you, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Ryeka ponders.

You smile at Betlind.

Kethrai says, "Perhaps that one's a metaphor."

Miskton says, "It was not too long after that when the announcement of Dokt's retirement came out."

Anuril gives Kethrai a gentle poke in the ribs.

Valynn appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Ryeka says, "Maybe."

Anuril says, "Not retirement, it's more of a pivot."

Anuril puffs away on his silverwillow pipe.

Ryeka nods.

A Prydaen villager appears to be doing her best to avoid drawing attention.

Traim chuckles.

Miskton nods to Anuril.

Aerilia says, "He has certainly earned the right to do whatever he wishes."

Ryeka chuckles.

Ryeka nods.

Kethrai nods at Aerilia, obviously agreeing with her views.

Valynn nods in agreement.

Casari asks, "Did he have to earn that?"

Aerilia says, "Though I miss the convenience of having all the patients there."

Aerilia grins.

Kethrai says, "Although from what I've tasted, his baking could use practice."

Betlind nods to Gwenddolyn.

Valynn grins at Aerilia.

Ryeka says, "I took a look at his baked goods. Um- they are a little expensive."

Ryeka chuckles.

Miskton says, "I've seen the cookies on display, though I've not yet tried any of them."

Valynn ponders.

Kethrai says, "He's no Thipbeet, all I'm saying."

Brenist just arrived.

Ryeka nods in agreement.

Ryeka grins, revealing her dimples.

Anuril dryly says to Aerilia, "Some of them have started visiting the courtyard very... regularly."

Ryeka lets out a hearty cheer for Brenist!

Brenist smiles at Ryeka.

Aerilia nods to Anuril.

Valynn quietly asks Kethrai, "Perhaps an article in the next Berries edition is called for?"

Aemaranth says, "Not that expensive if one tips their healer justly."

Kethrai groans.

Kethrai quietly says to Valynn, "Not you too..."

Ryeka chuckles.

Anuril chortles softly at some secret joke.

Miskton chuckles.

Valynn grins at Kethrai.

Ryeka says, "Might be a little tough for youngsters, though."

Valynn quietly says to Kethrai, "I'll do the writing."

Valynn winks at Kethrai.

Kethrai casually observes the area.

Kethrai loudly says, "Everyone heard her say that."

Miskton says, "But yes, Dokt has certainly put in a lot of work. And it seems he finds this less stressful. Perhaps at least until the culinary reviews start coming out."

Anuril laughs!

Valynn begins chortling at Kethrai.

Ryeka chuckles.

You chuckle.

Anuril asks Miskton, "He's no veteran of the glaes spatula, eh?"

Gwenddolyn says, "I think his bakery is a front and he is laundering money."

Ryeka winks at Gwenddolyn.

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Miskton says to Anuril, "That's how it sounds! I'm sure I'll have a chance to try his wares before long."

Valynn grins at you.

You smile at Valynn.

Valynn gets a wooden oak cask from inside her leather carryall.

Valynn moves a wooden oak cask to her left hand.

Anuril grins.

Valynn pours herself a pint of Peregrine porter from her cask.

Valynn offers you a pint of Peregrine porter. Enter ACCEPT to accept the offer or DECLINE to decline it. The offer will expire in 30 seconds.

>accept

You accept Valynn's offer and are now holding a pint of Peregrine porter.

You laugh happily.

>applaud valy

Raising your Peregrine porter to Valynn, you give her a toast. Cheers!

Valynn pours herself a pint of Peregrine porter from her cask.

Valynn offers Aerilia a pint of Peregrine porter.

Aerilia accepts Valynn's Peregrine porter.

You say to Valynn, "One keg runs dry and another is opened, eh? Thanks, Val."

Valynn pours herself a pint of Peregrine porter from her cask.

Valynn grins at you.

You take a sip of the porter. Warm and spicy. It makes you tingle down to your toes!

Kethrai closes his eyes for a moment and grows still.

Valynn says to you, "You're welcome."

Valynn casually observes the area.

Miskton says, "Now, on to the visions that have been seen more recently... and I think we'll start with another one that I think we have a pretty good idea on."

Gwenddolyn whispers, "good to see you"

Miskton turns a page in his astronomer's journal.

Brenist glances outside a moment.

You smile at Gwenddolyn.

You whisper to Gwenddolyn, "You as well."

Valynn offers Anuril a pint of Peregrine porter.

Aerilia takes a sip of her porter.

Anuril accepts Valynn's Peregrine porter.

Anuril nods to Valynn.

Miskton says, "I saw a man dragging a corpse along a road, sweating with effort. The corpse bore several grotesque wounds, the left leg bent at an odd angle. As the man struggled a bit, drawing the occasional odd glance from merchants leading oxen and nods of recognition from adventurers, a few children playing in fields stopped to watch."

Valynn pours herself a pint of Peregrine porter from her cask.

Anuril sniffs at a pint of Peregrine porter.

Valynn nods to Anuril.

Miskton says, "Eventually, the man reached a crossroad, where a large vela'tohr thicket swayed in the breeze, the gathering spot for several individuals and travelers. The man hauled the corpse near the thicket, and stretched momentarily, rubbing his shoulder with a mild grimace. Pointing at the corpse, the man watched the thicket extend a branch to the battered body, and nodded in approval as the corpse's wounds began to knit shut. The vision faded."

Valynn offers Traim a pint of Peregrine porter.

Master of Fate Keemar just arrived.

Aerilia ponders.

Anuril takes a sip of his porter.

Traim accepts Valynn's Peregrine porter.

Traim bows to Valynn.

Traim takes a sip of his porter.

Ryeka smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Ryeka nods.

Valynn smiles at Traim.

Miskton says, "Not long after I started seeing that vision, I heard word that Empath researchers had made some improvements to the spell pattern for Embrace of the Vela'Tohr."

Kethrai nods to Miskton.

Aerilia nods in agreement.

Anuril asks Miskton, "Have you refined your craft somehow, that these visions have become so very explicable?"

Anuril observes Miskton with fascination.

Ryeka exclaims, "Oooh!"

Miskton says to Anuril, "Oh, don't worry... we'll get back to the confusion soon enough."

Anuril laughs!

Ryeka grins, revealing her dimples.

Valynn chortles softly at some secret joke.

Aerilia says, "I have noticed it's easier to keep tabs on my plant now, too. The researchers did good work."

Traim grins wryly.

Kethrai nods at Aerilia, obviously agreeing with her views.

Miskton says, "And the plants are now able to be directed to take wounds from the dead, helping with the process of getting them back on their feet."

Betlind exclaims, "Neat!"

Ryeka nods.

Valynn pours herself a pint of Peregrine porter from her cask.

Kethrai says, "I'm intrigued to see what the plants would do with the corpse of someone who they would not heal if it were living. I suspect they will heal nevertheless."

Aerilia says, "Good news for triage."

Ayrell smiles at Valynn.

Valynn offers Ayrell a pint of Peregrine porter.

Anuril observes Kethrai with fascination.

Kethrai says, "As a dead body is generally a dead body regardless of who, to us."

Anuril hopefully asks Kethrai, "Do you need a body to test?"

Ryeka grins, revealing her dimples.

Kethrai looks at Anuril and sighs.

Anuril casually observes the area.

Kethrai rubs Anuril gently, massaging his muscles.

Anuril makes a grunting noise.

Betlind clucks her tongue and shakes her head.

Aerilia looks thoughtfully at Kethrai.

Valynn smiles at Ayrell.

Valynn offers Betlind a pint of Peregrine porter.

Betlind bows to Valynn.

Betlind declines Valynn's offer.

Valynn nods to Betlind.

Betlind exclaims to Valynn, "Apologies, not a drinker!"

Kethrai says, "For example, when we heal other Empaths, their reflected talent makes the process so easy that we don't even learn anything from it."

Betlind blushes a bright red color.

Valynn smiles at Betlind.

Kethrai says, "But when we heal a dead Empath, it's the same as healing anyone else."

Valynn quietly says to Betlind, "More for me."

Betlind snickers at Valynn.

Aerilia nods to Kethrai.

Betlind nods emphatically at Valynn.

Anuril takes a sip of his porter.

Ayrell smiles at Valynn.

Keemar's tail undulates lazily through the air.

Anuril quietly says to Valynn, "This is quite good."

Valynn offers Ezerak a pint of Peregrine porter.

Valynn smiles at Anuril.

Ezerak accepts Valynn's Peregrine porter.

Miskton says, "For the next vision... I think I should start by reviewing a vision we went over at the last meeting."

Miskton turns a page in his astronomer's journal.

Ezerak says to Valynn, "Thank you."

Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Miskton.

Aerilia tilts her head to one side.

Valynn quietly says to Anuril, "Specialty of the Ranger guild."

Raising his Peregrine porter to Valynn, Ezerak gives her a toast.

Ezerak takes a sip of his porter.

Miskton says, "With a hammering blow, I felt the air torn from my chest, and I found myself cast high into the sky. I swept past the approaching champions, flung beyond the furious gaze of beings I could not recall, and looked to silent stars, to the darkness between, seeing the now familiar bulges of nothingness writhing. A faint pulsing blue light flickered, shifted to a dull red, and vanished. The vision faded."

You raise an eyebrow in Valynn's direction.

Aerilia says, "Oh, right."

Aerilia furrows her brow.

Miskton says, "And now, more recently..."

Ryeka blinks.

Miskton says, "With a hammering blow, I felt the air torn from my chest and found myself cast high into the sky. Gazing past the moons, a bright point of blue light pulsed, a smudged bruise over a small patch of darkness. I steeled myself, ready, and felt the rage building behind the conceit of this abomination that defied the sequence, the stars themselves snarling in disgust, begrudgingly lending their support in the face of this paradox."

Valynn frowns.

Miskton says, "A bulge of nothingness wormed its way across my field of view, winding between the stars, blurring the blue light. The stars recoiled, refocused, and began to scream. The vision faded."

Traim tilts his Peregrine porter side to side, making the light play off it.

You let out a long, contemplative breath.

Ryeka acts puzzled.

Anuril makes a grunting noise.

Ershta Zehira just arrived.

Betlind ponders.

Miskton says, "Bulges of nothingness in the dark of the sky have appeared in a few visions in the past, though often seeming to be not quite the main subject."

Gwenddolyn asks, "Stars screaming?"

Aerilia frowns in thought.

Ryeka smiles at Zehira, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Valynn puts her cask in her leather carryall.

Zehira winks at Ryeka.

Anuril takes a sip of his porter.

Ezerak takes a sip of his porter.

Miskton says, "Now, though, it appears to take on a more ominous light."

You thoughtfully say, "And the blue light."

Kethrai asks, "A bright point of blue light, a smudged bruise over a small patch of darkness... Doesn't that sound similar to the early stages of the Involuted Passage's arrival?"

Ezerak whispers something to Ayrell.

Zehira gets a thin silver cigarillo case from inside her deathfiber carryall.

Zehira gets a long silvery cigarillo printed with glittery shooting stars from inside her cigarillo case.

Zehira snaps the top of her cigarillo case into place.

Zehira puts her case in her deathfiber carryall.

Betlind cocks her head.

Miskton says, "It does seem somewhat similar."

Zehira gets a diminutive tin magma viper from inside her deathfiber carryall.

Zehira points her tin viper at a long silvery cigarillo and a flame shoots from the creature's mouth, making the cigarillo quickly catch fire.

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning silvery cigarillo.

Zehira puts her viper in her deathfiber carryall.

Ayrell nods at Ezerak, obviously agreeing with his views.

Zehira exhales reverently, easing the fragrant smoke through her lips so softly, you think she might be praying. The tantalizing scent of fresh purple iris emanates from the cigarillo as fragile tendrils fill the area with an airy, inviting aroma.

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning silvery cigarillo.

Gwenddolyn says, "It reminds me of a reocurring sign like the bloodworm comet."

Aerilia asks, "The stars seem to dislike the blue light quite a bit, but not as much as the.. nothingness?"

Miskton says, "Based on the previous vision... My take is that the denizens of the Plane of Probability may be preparing contingencies for use against the Heralds. And while they are hostile to moon mages, they seemed grudgingly willing to work with me in this latest vision."

Ryeka ponders.

Betlind furrows her brow.

Aerilia gives a slight nod.

Miskton says, "However... In the last vision we also went past the Heralds. So it may be that there's yet another threat approaching from beyond."

Brenist ponders.

Miskton says, "Such as a return of the Involuted Passage."

Zehira raises an eyebrow in Keemar's direction.

Kethrai ponders.

Zehira asks in a Velakan accent, "Can I help you?"

Anuril asks, "Aren't its remains in the sea?"

Miskton says, "Exactly how the nothingness plays into that is unclear, but the stars did not seem happy about it."

Gwenddolyn says, "Or maybe something the Heralds are sending."

Zehira takes a long drag off of a burning silvery cigarillo.

You ask, "What are the stars grudgingly lending their support to? The light, or the nothingness?"

Keemar angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Zehira.

Miskton says, "There's still some crystal from the Involuted Passage somewhere in the sea... but it itself just... left."

Kethrai nods to Miskton.

Keemar inhales a great swallow of air.

Zehira squints at Keemar.

Keemar slowly empties his lungs.

Keemar's tail undulates lazily through the air.

Miskton says, "To me, I think. I was steeling myself with rage against that point of blue light."

You nod to Miskton.

Zynell asks, "Could that rage indicate being in the perspective of the Heralds?"

Kethrai says, "The... bulges of nothingness. That is reminiscent of something we can see at the Planar Observatory."

Zehira waves her hand distractedly.

Anuril observes Kethrai with fascination.

You ask Kethrai, "Did we see something like that there?"

Kethrai says, "One of the planes that's visible. It's like a... sphere of darkness, nothingness, but bulging at the edges like something is trying to push its way out."

Anuril nods to Kethrai.

Zehira motions to Keemar.

You ponder.

Gwenddolyn says, "Remember previous visions we mentioned the possiblity of the fourth moon being restored somehow."

Ryeka ponders.

Kethrai says, "It's on the same... frequency? as the Spiritual Plane. My assumption was it was the Plane of Exile."

Miskton says, "There was a previous vision where the sky shattered, and the gaps writhed with bulges of nothingness..."

Aemaranth says, "The idea of things pushing their way out of celestial bodies isn't the most reassuring thing ever."

Gwenddolyn says, "Or maybe a new moon."

Keemar angles his ears forward, eyes bright with curiosity.

Anuril nods to Miskton.

Brenist gazes at Miskton.

Zehira peers quizzically at Keemar.

Keemar blinks at Zehira.

Gwenddolyn asks, "What is in the plane of exile?"

Kethrai says, "I'm afraid I don't know much, I've only found fragmentary notes referencing it."

Anuril gets a primrose chamois cloth from inside his silk backpack.

Anuril taps a stately silverwillow pipe with a cocobolo stem that he is holding.

Gwenddolyn says, "Interesting."

Zehira pulls an oversized pair of sunglasses with dark geometric lenses slightly away from her features.

Miskton says, "Possibly the source of at least some of the entities we call demons."

Anuril uses his chamois cloth to meticulously clean his silverwillow pipe.

Anuril puts his pipe in his pipe case.

Valynn whispers, "I sense an extraplanar incursion here. Is that yours or Anuril's?"

You whisper to Valynn, "Not mine."

Miskton says, "And speaking of things that seem possibly demonic, the next vision..."

Miskton says, "I found myself standing in the midst of a blasted plain, jagged rock and cracked mud stretching as far as I could see, kissed by a cold wind under a grey sky. I began to walk, though there was no color, no feature, and no life, to mark my passage. Something caught my eye, and I whirled in place, watching as a skeletal monstrosity made of razor shadow and hissing smoke gathered before me, an expansive toothy grin starkly contrasted against the otherwise dark form. Gathering into a cyclone, the form flung several shadow-hooks towards me, latching into my flesh and pulling me into its maw. I dug my feet into the ground, cutting my hands on the jagged threads of shadow, but felt myself dragged forward, forward, falling into the swirling shadow before me. I heard it laughing, and the vision faded."

Valynn whispers, "Is it war mage?"

Ryeka ponders.

You whisper to Valynn, "I'm not sure. I don't sense anything out of the ordinary."

Betlind shudders.

Traim says, "Reminded me of the shadowy collossus from the conclave however many decades back."

Zehira smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Aerilia frowns.

Kethrai angles his ears forward, gazing curiously at Traim.

Brenist raises an eyebrow.

Aerilia says, "That's truly awful. I hope to never see such a being."

Miskton says, "The thing seems similar to the creatures the figures in golden plate have been seen fighting in various visions, at least."

You ask Traim, "The conclave?"

Zehira says in a Velakan accent, "Reminds me of some things I've seen."

You nod to Aerilia.

Gwenddolyn nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.

Traim says, "Very large very deadly plane of probability creature, showed up at a moon mage conclave a long time ago."

Traim says, "Looked like that."

Aemaranth glances at Zehira.

Brenist glances at Zehira.

Ryeka blinks.

Zynell grins at Zehira.

Miskton gets a blackened steel umbral colossus from inside his utility belt.

Miskton shows you a blackened steel umbral colossus. A vaguely humanoid shape, the colossus has thick fingers which reach nearly to its feet. Two bony wings shaped from Katamba spinels on its back have a small switch between them. Although mostly featureless, there is a small opening at the level where a mouth might be expected.

You blink.

Ezerak takes a sip of his porter.

Miskton says, "It looked a bit like that."

Miskton grins.

Betlind chortles softly at some secret joke.

Zehira says in a Velakan accent, "The maw, the shadows, the skeletons, but doesn't mean it's demonic. Not everything that looks like that is demonic."

Gwenddolyn chuckles.

Aerilia nods to Valynn.

You nod to Miskton.

Kethrai says, "Hate to say it, but I agree. That feels more Plane of Probability than demonic."

You say to Miskton, "Does bear some resemblence."

Aerilia asks, "Is that really less preferrable?"

Zehira says in a Velakan accent, "Did not remind me of any demons I know of."

Anuril dryly asks, "Well it's not like anyone has been helping beings from the plane of probability enact their mysterious plans here on abiding, right?"

Anuril casually observes the area.

Kethrai says to Aerilia, "No, not necessarily."

Traim nods to Zehira.

Betlind begins chortling at Anuril.

You say to Anuril, "Or fruitlessly attacking any powerful beings from the Plane of Probability."

Anuril laughs!

You grin.

Kethrai says, "There are beings from Probability every bit as powerful and evil as any demon."

Miskton says, "Shadows aren't uncommon for beings from the plane of probability. Or even skeletal seeming creatures made from it. Smoke is a bit stranger there, thouhg."

Traim gives a slight nod.

Valynn nods to Aerilia.

A strange sense passes through you. Afterward, the area feels somehow more... normal than it did a moment ago.

Ryeka blinks.

Ryeka shivers suddenly, seeming less secure.

You whisper to Valynn, "I felt that. That was War Mage."

Betlind asks, "Smoke usually tends to show up as a theme with the golden plate visions you had mentioned though, aye?"

Betlind nods to Miskton.

Traim nods to Zehira.

Aemaranth ponders.

Miskton says, "It's one of the things the figures might be made from. Ice, smoke..."

Gwenddolyn says, "Like dry ice melting."

You ask Miskton, "Did that featureless, lifeless environment suggest to you the Plane of Probability?"

Kethrai says, "I've always considered the golden figures and the Bulwark to be protecting Abiding from all the other Planes. Not just the Void."

Betlind nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Zynell bows her head and mutters a short prayer in a hushed voice. Raising her head, she glances to the shadows with a knowing smile.

Miskton says to you, "I can't rule it out, though there haven't been too many good instances where we can be fairly confident that's what we were seeing, to compare."

Aemaranth chuckles.

Traim nods in agreement.

You nod to Miskton.

Zehira kneels down.

Zehira gives Zynell a smooch.

Zehira leaps to her feet!

Zynell babbles something incoherent at Zehira.

Traim says, "Certainly some paths in the astral plane that look very similar to that though."

Kethrai says, "It could be, literally, the Blasted Plain..."

Keemar chuckles.

Miskton says, "The creature did bear some similarity to something like an umbramagus or a shadow master, though."

You nod to Traim.

Traim takes a sip of his porter.

Kethrai points northeast.

Traim idly picks at a black seordstone talon eyebrow ring.

Traim grins wryly.

Miskton nods to Kethrai.

Gwenddolyn nods at Betlind, obviously agreeing with her views.

Miskton says, "I'm not actually sure what the area looks like, once you get deep into the desolation. I imagine there aren't many who do."

Brenist gazes off into the distance.

Zehira says to Zynell in a Velakan accent, "My favorite."

Kethrai says to Miskton, "I found a shield once that was engraved with a map of the place. Allegedly, I guess."

Zehira says to Traim in a Velakan accent, "Moonmage."

Zehira says to Aemaranth in a Velakan accent, "Cleric."

Zehira says in a Velakan accent, "No more in town."

Aemaranth nods politely to Zehira.

Zehira says in a Velakan accent, "People."

Zynell waves to Zehira.

Zehira nods.

Valynn jots down some notes.

Ershta Zehira traipses southwest.

Miskton says, "With the next vision... I at least know what I was seeing, but what it means is a bit trickier."

Miskton turns a page in his astronomer's journal.

Aerilia tilts her head to one side.

Anuril observes Miskton with fascination.

Miskton says, "A crystal globe sat atop a tall table, filled with a miniature ocean. Brilliant coral swayed in a circular current, picked at by small neon shrimp. A school of iridescent fish flitted in and out of nooks and crannies in the reef system, living tiny lives behind the glass. A long snout peeked from between some rocks, a row of double slit eyes staring at me through the glass. The creature seemed to grow, its long branched horns stirring the water, and its long body and many paddle-like flippers spiraling along the confines of the aquarium. The tank expanded and expanded, arcing far overhead, until I was looking straight up at the face of the leviathan, which stared at me passively. A long crack spidered along the surface of the tank, and the vision faded."

Zynell shakes her head.

Ryeka blinks.

Zynell says, "Rather ride one than be looking up at one."

Zynell nods emphatically.

Betlind grins at Zynell, her dimples flashing into view.

Ryeka says, "I would normally associate that with the Merelew."

Gwenddolyn nods to Ryeka.

Miskton says, "It could just mean that there's something that is an actual threat to the leviathans. But they aren't necessarily worried about."

Valynn glances outside a moment.

Gwenddolyn says, "Or perhaps the merelew will be coming to help against the heralds."

Ezerak says, "I don't know how much help any mortal being will be against them."

Kethrai says, "I don't know how mortal we can call a leviathan."

Zynell says to Ezerak, "We can distract them with shopping."

Miskton says, "The crack in the glass could be a threat to the ocean, or to the leviathans... or to us, if you think to the consequences of an aquarium of that size shattering above you."

Ryeka says, "Perhaps- but the Merelew mages have managed to create unusual magics."

Brenist nods.

Gwenddolyn nods to Ryeka.

Kethrai asks, "Well... An aquarium would be the, er... maritime version? of a garden, wouldn't it?"

Aerilia ponders.

Miskton says, "And there have been some tasks where mortals have been able to be of assistance to the leviathans. They've had some struggles with Drogor that some of you may have assisted with."

Anuril nods.

Ryeka nods.

Betlind nods to Miskton.

Kethrai says, "Perhaps that was something like a leviathan's view of the garden from ages past."

Miskton strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Miskton says, "Yes, the idea of aquarium as a garden does seem to work, at least."

Qetu lightly asks in an Ilithian accent, "Can't an aquariam also be considered a cage?"

Anuril snorts, loudly.

Miskton says, "I'm not sure how much we can take from the leviathan just staring passively. Anything that would get one of them to actually panic would be... very bad, I think."

Qetu lightly asks in an Ilithian accent, "And their cage is breaking apart?"

Valynn jots down some notes.

Kethrai says, "The leviathan did seem to be struggling against the 'confines' of the aquarium, but... passively."

Aemaranth says, "With enough effort, anything could be a cage. You just have to know what to put into it."

Miskton says, "If it was anything other than a leviathan in this case, I think the idea of a cage would seem stronger to me."

Gwenddolyn nods to Zynell.

Betlind nods in agreement.

Gwenddolyn asks, "What about the visions of a caged star? Same concept but in the ocean instead of the sky?"

Qetu lightly says in an Ilithian accent, "Well, think of it more like a long term cage then, you need to keep the occupants fed, why not make it it's own little eco system."

Miskton says to Gwenddolyn, "Though the caged star struggled quite a bit more."

Gwenddolyn nods.

Gwenddolyn nods to Miskton.

Aemaranth whispers something to Zynell.

Aemaranth smiles at Zynell.

Aemaranth hugs Zynell, getting a smile in return.

Betlind says, "Doesn't make me think cage or garden, just makes me think it's just their underwater realm. And maybe the balance and magic of it all is getting messed with due to all the things going on up here. As to say, it's not just our problem."

Miskton says, "Based on everything we've heard from the Merelew, I think the leviathans probably find us... amusing. If they did become a threat for some reason, it would probably be bad."

Zynell nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.

Ryeka nods to Miskton.

Kethrai nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.

Valynn nods at Betlind, obviously agreeing with her views.

Gwenddolyn says, "Or maybe not a threat, maybe they can help with the heralds."

Priestess Aemaranth goes southwest.

Miskton nods to Gwenddolyn.

Qetu lightly says in an Ilithian accent, "Well from the inside it's not a cage, but suppose you are beyond them lookin at them from the outside, until they have grown too big for the cage, would be why they are towering over someone."

Kethrai says, "The impression I have is that a leviathan might rival a dragon in sheer scope of its power."

Gwenddolyn says, "The merelew would have to control them."

Master of Fate Keemar saunters southwest.

Ayrell nods to you.

Anuril puffs away on his silverwillow pipe.

Miskton says, "And then I have one other vision that I've seen to discuss, but a little more to bring up after that."

Miskton turns a page in his astronomer's journal.

Ryeka rubs her nose.

Miskton says, "I found myself walking along a dark corridor, a whispering breath inhaling and exhaling far ahead. I walked forward, unsure of where I was or what lay ahead. A heavy mist began to fill the corridor, obscuring my feet, then my knees, until I was wading in a chest-high fog that ebbed and flowed like the tide."

Miskton says, "A hissing whisper wound from ahead, "You should not have come."

You smile at Ayrell.

Ryeka blinks.

Miskton says, "I continued forward, hearing metal dragging across metal."

Miskton says, "The whisper continued, "And here we are."

Miskton says, "I continued walking forward, and the hallway began to widen. The vision faded."

Betlind blinks.

Ryeka ponders.

You glance at Anuril, a male Elf.

Aerilia furrows her brow.

Betlind furrows her brow.

Valynn raises an eyebrow.

Gwenddolyn says, "Perhaps whatever is approaching."

Valynn's eyes widen as she points to something in her notebook.

Miskton says, "I am perhaps somewhat biased here, but with some of the discussion I've heard going on, seeing this vision makes me wonder if it has something to do with plans in motion for going to the Null Prison."

Traim nods at Miskton, obviously agreeing with his views.

Valynn narrows her eyes.

You chuckle at Ayrell.

Ryeka says, "Well- there are heavy mists that guard the area to where the death spirits of Leth roam. but that's not inside a building."

Ayrell nods to Miskton.

Betlind says, "Ahh."

Betlind nods.

Ryeka ponders.

Aerilia ponders.

Gwenddolyn says, "Maybe that is not such a good idea."

Valynn nods in agreement.

Anuril says, "Doesn't seem like the null prison at all, to me. Although I agree it is foolish to go back there."

Gwenddolyn asks, "A warning perhaps to not go?"

Miskton says, "I know there a few different plans for things in the works, and that people have been seeing visions from the Immortals shared through Unaka. Though I have only seen a few myself."

Ryeka nods.

Betlind asks Anuril, "Any ideas what it could be then?"

Anuril shakes his head at Betlind.

Zynell nods to Miskton.

Betlind frowns.

Betlind gives a slight nod.

Betlind ponders.

Brenist frowns.

You say, "It made me think of Zengmodaleth, mostly because of the metal and corridors."

Kethrai says, "The null prison was much more... um. Not-spatial."

Ryeka nods.

Gwenddolyn nods.

Gwenddolyn nods to you.

You say to Anuril, "I'd be curious what the Captain made of that vision."

Ezerak nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Kethrai says, "But, this could also be representative rather than literal."

Anuril gives you a slight nod.

Betlind nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Kethrai says to you, "Oh, that's a thought. The... tunnel with the lightning spiders."

Valynn nods to Kethrai.

Kethrai shivers.

Anuril asks you, "The threat there was... metal on metal would not make sense for the arachnid being?"

You nod to Kethrai.

Ryeka ponders.

Miskton says, "Well, as mentioned, my interpretation might be a bit biased here."

Miskton grins wryly.

Traim takes a sip of his porter.

Betlind chortles softly at some secret joke.

Brenist says, "Forgive me for I am rather young. But the mist seemed to act like water."

You say to Anuril, "True, but there are cetainly metal entities there, along with the arachnid being."

Kethrai says, "But it would make sense for the custodians, or the construct they created."

Zynell asks, "Was someone taking over the null prison plans?"

Anuril nods to you.

Ryeka praises Brenist.

Traim says to Brenist, "Fair point."

You nod to Kethrai.

Betlind nods at Brenist, obviously agreeing with his views.

Zynell angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at Miskton.

Zynell angles her ears forward, gazing curiously at you.

Valynn nods to Brenist.

Valynn jots down some notes.

Miskton says, "I didn't taste any copper during the vision, but Zengmodaleth can't be ruled out based on that."

You say to Miskton, "That's a good point though. Most of those visions did have that as a part of the vision."

Kethrai says, "Maybe Viggu's going to finally open his door."

Anuril laughs!

Ryeka laughs!

Valynn smirks at Kethrai.

You chuckle.

Betlind ponders.

Traim asks, "That orc is still traipsing about?"

Valynn chuckles to herself.

Anuril holds up his hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

Gwenddolyn asks, "The door to his outhouse?"

Gwenddolyn gags.

Betlind begins chortling at Gwenddolyn.

You say to Kethrai, "Rumor is he's been replaced."

Kethrai says to you, "Oh, really? Interesting."

Betlind blinks.

You say, "A new warlord seems to have emerged, or is at least vying for power."

Gwenddolyn says, "Maybe he is the one retiring then."

Valynn nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Miskton asks, "That covers the visions I've seen, but does anybody have anything else to share? Any interesting visions from Unaka, or communing with Elanthia?"

You say to Kethrai, "You were present, I think when Tenilan spoke of him."

Traim whistles low.

Kethrai says, "I recall people talking about a new warlord, wasn't aware of the idea he might have replaced Viggu."

Zynell says, "Interesting visions from both, we have another few immortal events as well as another besseaching elanthia in the works."

Zynell nods to Miskton.

Kethrai says, "There is another event I want to make people aware of..."

Miskton nods to Kethrai.

You say to Kethrai, "It's true: we don't know, but Tenilan did say he was leading Red Bear orcs, and did say this new warlord, Kozak, he is called, was trying to assert power."

Betlind frowns at you.

Kethrai says, "In a few andaen, I'll be hosting a reprise of the Pure Magic Party I held some time ago. With a few slight alterations this time."

Valynn nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.

Valynn gazes at Kethrai.

Betlind says, "Well, maybe that in-fightin' will make 'em weak if they get brash and make a move, or keep 'em quiet for a long while as they sort things out."

Zynell nods to Kethrai.

Kethrai says, "The goal I'm hoping to achieve here is to have direct dialogue with the Heralds, and exchange information for information."

You say to Betlind, "I hope so."

Kethrai says, "We're going to sweeten the pot with pure magic casting -- enough to gain their attention, and have them start consuming it, and then we'll cease altogether."

Betlind nods to you.

Kethrai says, "Answer a question, get some mana. Answer a question, get some mana. That sort of idea."

Ryeka lets out a hearty cheer for Kethrai!

Aerilia nods to Kethrai.

Betlind smiles at Kethrai, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Valynn ponders.

Zynell nods.

Anuril dryly says, "They seem like the type to react well to that."

Anuril smiles at Kethrai.

Zynell says, "Should be interesting."

Ryeka nods in agreement.

Kethrai says to Anuril, "I give it about seventy-thirty I end up a smear of paste on the ground, yeah."

Anuril gives a slight nod.

Betlind begins chortling at Kethrai.

Casari says, "Watch out for crazy Paladins interrupting your efforts."

You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.

Ryeka laughs!

Valynn gives Kethrai a half-hearted grin.

Aerilia says, "Willing to try nigh anything for answers. I'll help out."

Aerilia chuckles.

You laughingly say, "Gods, Kethrai."

Kethrai says, "If people have particular questions they want to ask, please let me know. I'm going to try to arrange them in, er..."

Kethrai says, "Increasing order of likelihood of me getting liquified."

Ryeka grins, revealing her dimples.

Anuril snorts, loudly.

Gwenddolyn chuckles at Kethrai.

Zynell grins at Kethrai.

Betlind exclaims to Kethrai, "You know I'll help however I can, just let me know!"

Betlind beams at Kethrai!

Traim says, "Worth a try."

Valynn looks at Kethrai and jots down some notes.

You nod to Traim.

Traim says, "I have to travel though. Thanks for hosting, Miskton. Thanks for the discussion all. Good hunting."

Betlind grins at Valynn, her dimples flashing into view.

Zynell raises her hand.

You ask Kethrai, "Do you have any questions you know you want to ask?"

Traim says to Valynn, "Thanks for the porter."

Traim flashes a quick grin at Valynn.

Traim takes a sip of his porter.

Valynn smiles at Traim.

Traim raises his hand in a quick salute.

Traim gestures.

The air around Traim begins to shimmer oddly.

Valynn waves.

Miskton says, "That does cover everything I had to go over this evening, so thank you all for coming."

Miskton smiles.

Miskton marks a page and closes his astronomer's journal, securing the clasp.

Zynell says, "We also had a visit from Asildu, who expressed regret of his decisions and is considering the artifacts that lead him on the path. while he thinks, i went to the library...ssssss. and made notes on the heralds and whatever artifacts i could find. I am sharing those notes tomorrow before OA."

Anuril nods to Miskton.

Betlind bows to Miskton.

Kethrai says to you, "I want to ask if they know what is causing the areas of stagnation we've seen in visions... And then if they know that the Immortals seem to be restarting the cycle of life there with sorcery."

You bow to Miskton.

Qetu lightly says in an Ilithian accent, "Thanks for expanding on the visions, as always."

Miskton puts his journal in his scholar's valise.

Betlind exclaims to Miskton, "Thank you for hosting and sharing all the visions with us!"

You say to Miskton, "Thank you, Miskton."

Aerilia nods to Zynell.

Ryeka ponders.

Valynn smiles at Zynell.

You nod to Kethrai.

Zynell says, "If you have your own notes, bring them, we can compare."

Valynn says to Miskton, "Thank you as always."

Kethrai says, "Our most recent vision from Elanthia suggests that they may be unaware of those effects."

Gwenddolyn nods to Miskton.

Forest Sprite Lileath goes southwest.

Valynn pulls the hood of her cloak up.

Qetu goes southwest.

Miskton nods to Brenist.

Ryeka nods to Zynell.

Valynn hugs Aerilia, getting a smile in return.

Aerilia hugs Valynn, getting a smile in return.

Betlind says to Valynn, "Thank you again for the offer of porter."

Betlind smiles at Valynn, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Valynn smiles at Betlind.

Ryeka smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

Gwenddolyn waves.

Citizen Miraeven goes southwest.

You say to Valynn, "And thank you again for giving me porter."

You smile at Valynn.

Light of the World Gwenddolyn goes southwest.

Ezerak takes a sip of his porter.

Ezerak takes a sip of his porter.

Valynn says to Betlind, "Maybe I'll bring a cask of tea next time."

Betlind grins at you, her dimples flashing into view.

Betlind giggles at Valynn.

Aerilia says to Valynn, "Thanks for the swimming lesson."

Valynn nods to you.

Aerilia grins at Valynn.

Kethrai closes his eyes for a moment and grows still.

Brenist nods to Valynn.

Ryeka exclaims, "I think I'll find a nice cot in a local temple. Thank you for listening!"

Aerilia takes a sip of her porter.

Valynn smiles at Brenist.

Ryeka strides southwest.

Betlind says to Valynn, "No need for just lil old me, but... er, I wouldn't say no either."

Betlind coughs.

Anuril praises Miskton.

Valynn grins at Betlind.

Zynell stands up.

Valynn motions to Ayrell.

>send Ryeka Thanks for teaching, Ryeka.

You hear your mental voice echo to Ryeka, "Thanks for teaching, Ryeka."

You project your thoughts to Ryeka.

Betlind grins at Valynn, her dimples flashing into view.

Valynn grins.

Kethrai says to Betlind, "Well... Given that we're at the end of the meeting."

Kethrai points his thumb at a Prydaen villager.

Valynn waves.

[Personal] Your mind hears Ryeka thinking, "<to you>" "You're welcome!"

Ayrell smiles at Valynn.

Miskton scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

Betlind grins at Kethrai, her dimples flashing into view.

Valynn hoots, sounding remarkably like a real owl.

You ask Valynn, "You can carry two casks right...?"

You try hard not to grin.

Miskton glances up at the sky.

Aerilia exclaims to Miskton, "Thanks for hosting and sharing with us. It's always very interesting!"

Valynn starts chortling at you!

Casari waves.

Brenist shakes his head at Miskton.

Valynn gives you a playful poke in the ribs.

Firehawk Casari goes southwest.

Miskton scans the sky, looking for portents and insight.

Brenist says, "I fear I am rather unskilled."

You laugh!

Valynn goes southwest.

Miskton says to Brenist, "Let me help you out with that..."

Aerilia closes her eyes for a moment and grows still.

Betlind starts chortling at you!

Miskton says to Brenist, "It might take me a little bit to get a good grasp for a prediction, but then I'll demonstrate for you."

Betlind's cambrinth calf emits a startled "moo!"

Betlind pats a cambrinth savannah bull calf with small nubby horns.

You say to Aerilia, "I'd hoped to talk you into visiting Milene's for a drink, and to discuss the notion of re-entering the null prision and freeing Asildu, but it sounds like Zynell is looking to organize something on those topics soon."

Betlind says, "Aww, I missed you too, buddy."

Aerilia nods to you.

Betlind nods to a cambrinth savannah bull calf with small nubby horns.

Betlind pats a cambrinth savannah bull calf with small nubby horns.

Zynell says, "Not the null prison."

Brenist says, "If this is not convient for you I could come another time."

Aerilia says to you, "Her notes would make a useful addition to a conversation about that, I'm sure."

You nod to Aerilia.

Miskton says to Brenist, "Oh, now is fine. It just takes a little extra effort with all that's currently going on in the sky."

Zynell says, "He said we cannot offer him redemption without severing his connection to the heralds."

Brenist nods to Miskton.

Zynell says, "He suggested the artifacts for that. they have been mentioned a few times."

Aerilia nods to Zynell.

You say to Zynell, "I'll be honest, even as I'm sure that many imprisoned in the null prison are innocent enough, I have no interest in freeing an unknown number of entities into the Plane of Abiding."

Miskton says to Brenist, "I'll give it a try soon. It may just take a few tries to find a vision."

You say, "I will do what I can to free Asildu though."

Zynell nods to you.

Zynell says, "I have not heard anyone nearly as interested in the null prison."

Brenist says, "Well I am grateful for your assistance."

Miskton says to Brenist, "And you might want to brace yourself. It can be a bit shocking to experience."

You nod to Zynell.

Zynell says, "So unless someone steps up for it..."

Zynell shrugs.

Aerilia asks you, "Imagine being one of the unjustly imprisoned, though? Or your friends again. If it was free all or nothing, you'd chose all for your friends, wouldn't you?"

Anuril asks, "Sorry, who was unjustly imprisoned?"

You frown.

Miskton says to Brenist, "Let's start giving it a try..."

Zynell says, "We have no clue."

Anuril observes Aerilia with fascination.

Zynell nods to Anuril.

Miskton gazes heavenwards expectantly, but lowers his eyes unfulfilled.

Brenist says, "I imagine you are right based on what I heard you discuss."

Anuril says, "So you have no evidence that anyone is."

You say to Anuril, "Ayrell, Miskton, and Navesi, for three - Dantia and Mazrian in my mind as well."

Miskton gazes heavenwards expectantly, but lowers his eyes unfulfilled.

You say to Aerilia, "That is a hard question."

Aerilia says to Anuril, "I reject the notion that any of the people we freed were put there for a good reason."

You say to Aerilia, "The truth is, I'd probably free them all if that were the case."

Anuril asks you, "The ringleaders of a gathering specifically to conduct sorcery?"

Aerilia nods to you.

Ayrell frowns.

Anuril observes you with fascination.

Ayrell softly says, "I think I have heard enough."

You say to Anuril, "That's false."

Ayrell softly says, "Good evening."

Betlind bows to Ayrell.

You bow to Ayrell.

Betlind says to Ayrell, "Be well."

Zynell nods.

Miskton nods politely to Ayrell.

Ayrell nods politely.

Lady of Elamiri Ayrell goes southwest.

Anuril dryly says, "I was there, Tirost, I saw what was being done."

Ezerak raises an eyebrow in Anuril's direction.

Aerilia shakes her head at Anuril.

Miskton gazes absently at Brenist, almost staring through him.

Betlind rubs her nose.

Miskton says to Brenist, "There you go."

Brenist says, "Wow so vivid."

Kethrai says, "I'm... not entirely convinced the ones who were captured weren't just Mazrian and the four people who by happenstance were standing closest to Mazrian."

You say to Anuril, "You clearly don't if you think Ayrell, Miskton and Navesi were anything but observers, who came to see a very relevant action for the entire plane."

Miskton says to Brenist, "A pleasant one to start with."

Anuril snorts, loudly.

Brenist grins.

Zynell grins at Kethrai.

You say to Anuril, "That is a far cry from organizing anything to do with sorcery."

Brenist says, "Was nice of you to take the time to share the art."

Zynell says to Kethrai, "A fair assessment."

Zynell playfully tilts her ears in opposite directions.

Kethrai says, "They were, at least, standing atop the same floor stone."

Anuril smiles at Kethrai.

Brenist glances outside a moment.

You say to Kethrai, "A lot of us were thrown into a null prison, but those four were kept."

Aerilia says to Kethrai, "Which suggests to me that they aren't careful who they put in that place, and therefore there likely are innocents among the countless we saw there."

Kethrai says, "Mazrian was certainly the most immediate cause of catching their attention, when it happened."

Miskton says, "A list of charges was not presented, unfortunately."

You ask Kethrai, "Then why not keep all of us?"

Kethrai says to you, "It seems like they tried."

Kethrai says, "We just happened to get out before the portal closed."

Ezerak takes a sip of his porter.

Anuril nods to Kethrai.

Betlind furrows her brow.

Zynell says to Aerilia, "I think a point to be made is that if you find youself empassioned by it, then you should take over the project."

You say, "And only those five could not escape? I think you're trying your best to defend the Heralds, Kethrai, and making a lot of assumptions that no one who was taken supports."

Aerilia ponders.

Anuril laughs!

Kethrai casually observes the area.

Zynell says, "I will not be doing so. Tirost just declined..."

Aerilia asks Zynell, "I got the impression Avrenka was at the head of this. Has he dropped it?"

Zynell says, "We found out last night he is taking over his fathers business and no longer working on it."

Brenist bows to Miskton.

Aerilia says, "Oh, that's a shame."

Zynell says, "He will not be returning for the forseeable future."

Kethrai says, "Trying to escape that place felt like swimming against a river of syrup while vines, crystals, and elemental effects tried to keep us in there."

Aerilia nods to Zynell.

>look miskton

You see Court Mage Miskton Ramahk, Seer of the Ilithi Court, a Human Moon Mage.

Miskton has an angular face, observant steel blue eyes and an aquiline nose. His dark brown hair is short and straight, and is worn loose. He has fair skin and a rangy build.

He is very tall for a Human.

He appears to be middle-aged.

He has a sleekly groomed beard elegantly framing his face. A soft, glistening shine adorns the hairs.

His shoulder has a tattoo of a sprawling night sky like a pool of spilled ink, featuring an intricate web of stars that surround and connect Xibar, Yavash, and Katamba.

A mysterious brand of thin concentric circles mars the back of his neck, the imprinted flesh unnaturally opalescent. Thin, threadlike lines flow around the outermost ring, composing the fluid symbols of an esoteric script.

He has faint scuffing to the right arm.

He is in good shape.

He is wearing a slouched russet felt hat with a Xibar-blue lotusweave band, some round spectacles with silversteel wire frames, a rugged safari shirt made from chestnut-hued Velakan linen, a rugged taupe leather utility belt with a multitude of thornweave pouches, some heavy titanese work pants with leather knee patches and a bespoke pair of explorer's boots with blackened moonsilver grommets.

Kethrai says, "I don't know why it would be strange that the people physically closest to the one they were most interested in capturing would have the hardest time getting out before the entrance closed."

Brenist says to Miskton, "Thank you for the gift you shared with me. I will take try to learn from it."

Zynell says, "Unless someone picks up the project, it is of little cause for debate."

Miskton smiles at Brenist.

Zynell shrugs.

Aerilia nibbles her lip thoughtfully.

You say to Kethrai, "Dantia and Madigan were right next to each other, and Madigan was sent back."

Zynell casually observes the area.

Kethrai says, "He wasn't SENT back, he GOT back. Sent implies an intention to release him."

Anuril says to you, "I would imprison a hundred of our friends before I would let one Lyras walk free."

Aerilia says, "I distinctly recall none of us got anywhere close to the closing portal."

Aerilia says, "But then we made it out, somehow."

You ask Anuril, "You'd let Kethrai rot in that prison forever on the possibility that a Lyras was inside?"

Anuril smiles.

Zynell says to you, "Keth would volunteer."

Anuril nods to Zynell.

Kethrai motions to Zynell.

Brenist bows.

Betlind grins, revealing her dimples.

Brenist goes southwest.

Kethrai says, "We've had precisely this conversation, in fact..."

Zynell says, "That is an obvious answer."

Anuril nods to Kethrai.

Zynell shrugs.

You say, "By that logic, we should all cease to exist, since if we didn't exist, there could be no Lyras. I reject that utterly."

Anuril rolls his eyes.

Ezerak says to you, "Seems to me to be what the Heralds have in mind for us, after the last threats they made."

You say, "I will save as many friends as I can, trusting that they and the Immortals could stop a Lyras and continue a plane where people can live and thrive, even with pain, sorrow and death."

You nod to Ezerak.

Anuril says to Kethrai, "They are selfish, arn maite. The sorcery has made them so."

Aerilia gazes upward.

You ask Anuril, "Am I, or am I just not ruled by fear?"

Anuril smiles at you.

Aerilia says, "I'm going to help out your pure mana experiment, but you're impossible."

Aerilia says, "Good night."

Healer Aerilia strides southwest.

Ezerak raises an eyebrow in Anuril's direction.

You smile after Aerilia.

Ezerak asks Anuril, "What's my excuse, then? Or Ayrell's?"

You wistfully say, "I wish she'd remained in the War Mage guild."

Zynell says to Kethrai, "You will have several of the clerics in attendance."

Zynell nods to Kethrai.

Zynell says, "Though perhaps we should not be casting pure mana."

Betlind dimples at you.

Kethrai says to Zynell, "Thank you."

Zynell says to Kethrai, "Our holy magic may not be what they are looking for."

Kethrai says to Zynell, "Pure mana is what they want. It's the proverbial carrot on a string."

Miskton says to Kethrai, "I'm interested to see what happens, though I may not be able to make it."

Kethrai ponders.

Anuril asks Ezerak, "Sorry, are you arguing for releasing all of the sorcerers in the prison too?"

Kethrai says, "True, but that would be an interesting thing to test."

Zynell says, "But you have the support regardless. just consider if you wish us to cast it or not."

Zynell nods.

Zynell says, "Or if there is a time like question 3 we add holy."

Zynell shrugs.

Zynell says, "Whatever you would like."

Kethrai nods to Zynell.

Anuril asks Ezerak, "Or do you just wish to inflict revenge upon the heralds?"

Ezerak says to Anuril, "I am not. I just take exception to someone I consider a friend, that Ayrell considers a friend, saying that she deserved to lose a year of her life, and constant nightmares. That my children deserved to lose their mother for a year."

You frown.

Anuril says, "Revenge, that famously selfless act."

Kethrai softly says to Anuril, "Arn maite, please try to be generous in your thoughts toward our friends."

Anuril makes a grunting noise.

Betlind nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

You say to Anuril, "It is truly a matter of survival as this point. I don't think any of us wish for the destruction of the Heralds so we can do sorcery, Anuril. The Immortals have and continue to support its use, and they support us, while Heralds care nothing for us, or worse. It's that simple."

Anuril asks, "We were all there, harming the heralds. They chose to enforce their warning that had been delivered to mortals many times. Why is their action so different than that of any of the immortals who do similar?"

Anuril laughs!

Anuril shakes his head at you.

You say to Anuril, "You act like a few spells of ours could harm them. We just saw a vision where the Immortals did sorcery on a huge scale, and they ignored it."

Ezerak asks Anuril, "Harming the Heralds how? Ayrell has never once used any form of sorcery. Can you say the same?"

Ezerak fixes Anuril with a serene, lofty stare.

Betlind frowns.

Miskton says, "Well... I'll leave you all to this discussion. Take care."

Miskton nods politely.

Anuril nods to Miskton.

You bow to Miskton.

Zynell nods to Miskton.

Betlind bows to Miskton.

Court Mage Miskton strolls southwest.

Anuril says, "This idea of innocence and the standard you are attempting to hold the heralds to is comical."

Ezerak says to Anuril, "I'm not holding them to any sort of standard. I'm holding you to one."

Anuril says, "Asketi, worship me or die. Kerenhappuch, give me information or die. Dergati, just plain die."

Anuril says, "Trothfang, die."

Anuril says, "Ushnish, die."

Zynell holds up her hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

Anuril says, "Where is your concern for the innocents."

Anuril gazes at you.

You say to Anuril, "You know what springs from that death? Life. You know what the Heralds are impelling us toward? Nonexistence - the stasis we saw in the visions."

Anuril sighs.

Anuril says, "Enjoy your war."

Betlind rubs her nose.

Kethrai quietly says, "They need wine in here. My meeting has wine."

Ezerak says, "As though any of us could stop it."

Anuril cackles!

Zynell says to Kethrai, "I hope your party is productive, it will be interesting to see if they directly speak with us or send asildu."

Anuril nods to Kethrai.

Betlind grins at Kethrai, her dimples flashing into view.

You smile at Kethrai.

Betlind nods at Zynell, obviously agreeing with her views.

Kethrai says to Zynell, "Thank you."

You say to Kethrai, "Good luck with your experiment, Keth."

Kethrai says to you, "And thank you as well."

Zynell ponders.

You wryly say to Betlind, "You missed alot."

You grin at Betlind.

Betlind holds up her hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

Betlind says, "Always some kinda conflict."

You chuckle.

Betlind says, "And conflicts all tend to look the same after a while."

Zynell grins at Betlind.

You say, "True enough, but this one is unlike anything I've ever heard of. The Immortals appearing to us, Heralds visible in the sky..."

You sigh.

You say, "The idea of fighting Viggu is almost a relief."

Zynell is giggling at you.

Betlind says, "And before that it was nothing we have ever heard of, a giant Necromancer stomping on boats along an island."

Betlind says, "If you hold to the Immortals as you say you do, then you should have more faith."

Zynell says, "Well i for one am enjoying the presence of the immortals."

Betlind grins at you, her dimples flashing into view.

You say to Betlind, "Well said. My faith is strong, but I have every reason to keep it."

Betlind says to Zynell, "It is refreshing in its own way, I agree."

Betlind nods to you.

Betlind says to you, "Absolutely."

You nod to Zynell.

Kethrai leans against a comfortable chair with Elothean silk upholstery.

Betlind says, "I haven't quite made up my own mind, but..."

You say to Zynell, "Their presence is overwhelming - not something I'll ever forget."

Betlind points at Kethrai.

Betlind points at Anuril.

Betlind says, "Those two are basically my best friends, so I'm going with whatever they're going with."

Anuril chortles softly at some secret joke.

Kethrai says, "Aww."

Betlind says, "I have faith in the Immortals, but I have faith in my friends too."

Betlind shrugs.

Betlind says, "And yes, it's very weird."

You say to Betlind, "Good luck, Betlind."

Kethrai says, "...if only we agreed about what to do."

Zynell grins at Kethrai.

Betlind bows to you.

You bow to Betlind.

You take a sip of the porter.

You finish off the rest of it, and set the flagon aside.

Kethrai says, "I continue to have more questions than answers about everything that's happened. It's just my default state now."

Zynell says to Kethrai, "Well we will be doing another beseeching and i am not certain if another triquetra adventure is called for, but i did enjoy seeing them."

Zynell ponders.

Zynell exclaims, "Perhaps that is what i will suggest we do instead!"

Zynell says, "We are almost through 1 of every 13, perhaps we will do the triquetra and then rakash immortals."

Kethrai says, "Eluned suggested doing our own experiments. It might be worth going back to figuring out how to get more information ourselves, without asking for it."

Zynell says, "I already libraried."

Zynell twitches an ear nervously.

Betlind grins at Zynell, her dimples flashing into view.

You say to Zynell, "You've done a lot, and brought in many voices."

Zynell says, "The more the merrier. usually."

You smile.

Betlind chortles softly at some secret joke.

Betlind says, "Key word there."

Betlind grins, revealing her dimples.

Zynell says, "The drool i could have done without."

Zynell nods.

You say, "Gragnel is good company, and loves to drink."

Zynell shudders.

Betlind snickers.

Kethrai says, "I don't mean look in books either, I mean... See what we can learn through experiment. We did that a lot early on."

Kethrai says, "I haven't come up with any great ideas yet, but."

Zynell says, "Well we are working on the artifacts and those will need experimenting. otherwise i do not have a direction to experiment IN."

Ezerak says to Kethrai, "Be careful, even if you don't participate in the sorcery part, Anuril might decide you deserve the Null Prison."

Kethrai says, "The artifacts could be useful. Maybe get different kinds of spellcasters to perceive them, or see what a Bard can get from them."

Anuril rolls his eyes.

Zynell nods at Kethrai, obviously agreeing with his views.

Zynell says, "I was hoping they might do another bard lore thing."

Zynell says, "But cas said no."

Kethrai says, "If some of these artifacts get found, maybe that'll spur them on."

Zynell nods in agreement.

Zynell ponders.

Zynell says, "I might lick it first."

Zynell says, "To test for safety."

Zynell nods.

You glance at Zynell, a female Prydaen.

Betlind says, "The tingle will tell you if it's authentic or not."

Betlind nods to Zynell.

You say, "Gods..."

Zynell nods at Betlind, obviously agreeing with her views.

You say, "I should take my leave."

Kethrai asks Zynell, "What if the Bards accidentally evoke your tongue, then?"

You warmly say to Betlind, "It's been good to see you again."

Zynell says to Kethrai, "We will learn very interesting things."

Betlind bows to you.

Zynell nods to Kethrai.

Betlind smiles at you, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.

You bow to Betlind.

You smile.

Kethrai bows to you.

You bow to Kethrai.

Betlind says to you, "And you, as always."

You say, "Take care."
